I actually appreciate a solid knight in shining armor. Not an asshole cynic, or stupid good. Something close to AllStar Superman, or Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty. Im not saying i want saturday morning cartoons either, you can have a nuanced goodguy. Not so overused anymore though

certain aspects of it, yeah.

I like my gear to look a little more practical is all.

for example If I had to choose between the UNSC's spaceship look, and the IoM's Spaceship look, I'd choose the UNSC.

But it fits pretty damn well with in the setting , so I just adjust my suspension of disbelief when dealing with WH40k and look for the good stuff while accepting most of the rest.

I enjoy both of these arsenals, but it's obvious that the UNSC's ergonomics are better. All of the Elysian gear would be clunky and looks heavy as sin. Granted, it's because the entire setting is based off of a miniwargame that came out in the 70's-80's and in the 'heroic' scale. So lots of easily painted surfaces and what not.

Yeah, the halo pic is fanmade but it fits in with the setting pretty well.

I'm befuddled. I can't tell the age of this writer. they mention clips [I assume they mean mags] but before that they say you reload by 'dropping bullets into the slot'.

at least they seemed to understand how bolt action guns worked.
