Closest thing to a relationship I've roleplayed was when a superpowered war-clone-experiment decided she wanted to mate with my character. Had her stalking me yandere-style for three sessions before I found a way to make her obey simple commands like "Keep me safe" or "Don't kill my friends".
She was pretty useful in the endgame.

Taking note from what I know about my extensive reading of yuri material, I'd say the easiest and cheapest way to make a pairing is to have both of them be the polar opposite of their most defining trait. So you can insert romance by having all NPCs have some sort of Schroedinger's quirk that will always be the exact opposite of the first person to take interest in them.

We were once traveling in this caravan with a bunch of NPCs, including a guy who all we knew about him was that he was some shady business fuck. Not even organised crime shit, just a sneaky accountant fucker that was really good at moving numbers around. We get jumped by bandits on the road and after we're done fighting it out we search the caravan to make sure everyone okay. We find the sneaky business fuck, his shirt removed and neatly folded on a box beside him, his knuckles bloody, standing over the body of one of the bandits that we had lost tract of in the melee.

Our bard eventually ended up marrying him.

Something that fuels the "Pharah's father is Reinhardt" theory is that her 'rare' skins are half named after metals, half after gemstones. The naming for the rare skins usually follows a trend, a single theme, like fruits (D.Va), minerals (Genji), colors in their native language (Lucio, Hanzo, McCree)... and metals for Reinhardt, gemstones for Ana. Symmetra: TN hyper-optimized wizard. Memorized the core the night before. Always quiet, but claims to be having fun, and complains when game night is cancelled. Party would've died ages ago from Sombra's/Junkrat's unbalanced encounters if not for munchkin nukes.
Roadhog: NG Cleric. Was the GM, got fed up with Junkrat. Party glue. Very good at roleplaying.
Junkrat: CE (everything) Was force-fed the GM screen after Roadhog got fed up with him rolling a new randumb character every other night. Currently an alchemist, says he might stick with it.

You don't have to be subtle, just make it feel organic - realistic. Maybe talk with the player and try and figure out if they think this would work, and what you could do together to help a romance blossom. It's not like the real world where you have to kind of throw yourself out there and hope for the best - this shit can be planned, or at least discussed and given a green light.

I fucking love that short film. It's one of the most fascinating ideas I've ever encountered in science fiction. Eastern religions lend themselves perfectly to "AI and religion" stories since various Buddhist, Hindu, and other myths are quite explicit about non-human intelligences having souls and being able to gain powers through asceticism/worship just like humans.

At the very least, you can argue the fact that Mercy's Rez only works on people who does within the past 15 seconds, maybe a minute at best.

That could certainly explain the more extensive revivals needed for Genji and Reaper, while the mass Rez is closer to CPR.

You could argue it, sure, but Mercy's Rez ability is just a game mechanic. The fact is that we simply don't know how/if exactly it manifests itself in the lore.
I'd say that it probably isn't a case of her raising a hand and saying "Heroes never die!" and dead people jumping back into life, but then again, Hanzo can literally conjure up giant blue dragons by saying a magical, Japanese spell, not just in the game but in the setting itself as evidenced by the Genji v Hanzo short, so I guess that magic does exist in the Overwatch Universe.

Given that she says "The wonders of modern medicine" when she respawns, I think it's a legit thing that exists. Since it has a limited timespan(same as the respawn timer) it probably just restores the body with a more advanced version of the nanotech used in her staff.

Well I'm playing online so it makes talking about it casually a bit more difficult. I've asked the other player about it in passing before and he seems okay with it, but his answers were very short "yes" type things. I've also done some considerable legwork in bending my character's progression and backstory to make a good reason for their attraction to his character, and I'm trying to progress slowly, but damn the time is moving so slow in the game. The player is a bit of a sperglord so it has been funny to watch his character spill spaghetti, but I can't help but feel like I'm barking up the wrong tree. Maybe the other player is just biding their time and will respond soon? I'll probably reveal my machinations to the other player and have a good chat about it and see what's up.

I think people have asked about the Shimada dragons and gotten 'sufficiently advanced technology...' as an answer, so it's possible it's just genetic nanomachine or mutations that allow them to project hard-light dragons. Or maybe it's psychic powers and everyone just thinks it looks like a dragon.

Either way, not super likely to be magic.

It's like pointing to Mei creating ice walls from nothing or D.Va summoning Mechs from nowhere as evidence of magic. Obviously that's just convenience for playability, it doesn't really work like that.
In terms of canon material, the only things that would appear to be magical so far are the Shimada Dragons and maaaybe Reaper being able to turn into a dust cloud.

You don't "put" anything there organically. You identify potential: the seeds your players have sown in the fertile valley of possibilities you cultivated for them. (You did do that, right?) The more you do it, the further back you can identify potential and encourage it gently.

Don't start out your journey trying to plan these things in advance. Instead of drawing up a blueprint and trying to bend creation to your intentions, look for opportunity; water the dark earth you have lovingly tilled and keep your eyes open a spark to fan into a flame.

This is what is meant by organic storytelling.
