How does a Stand form? Is it just completely random what it'll be able to do, or does it generally match its user?

I've been thinking on it. I believe the main problem I had with it when the Jump was originally made was a concern over people taking indestructible via Benefactor fiat objects(which was ramping up then and common now), turning them into companions, and using one of the variety of power stealing or trading options around the chain to basically get the Benefactor invincibility or some other extremely powerful quality for themselves. I've since Jumped Soul Eater and felt like that it's a bit too restrictive in some areas, that there are better ways to prevent abuse like that without completely restricting certain options like the jump is presently doing. If I get around to updating Soul Eater, it's gonna be something I look into.

>>50569087

Bloodborne and White Knight Chronicles are also mine. Dark Souls 3 would be my fifth, and I'm planning on my next solo Jump being Enchanted Arms, but it's still a way off. I'm also working with Valeria on Street Fighter.

Can you purchase Legend Rider Movie Belt (should that be Legendary?) more than once to fuse multiple belts together into one?
>>
>>50569356
It usually fits the user pretty well.
>>
Reposting question from last thread so it can get more exposure. I'm basically taking a survey for Characters in Dark Souls 3 people wanna see purchasable. Ya'll are free to suggest most characters (with notable exceptions being the Lords of Cinder, perhaps others that feel iffy on a case by case basis) and the most popular suggestions are probably gonna make it in. Reasons for why I'm doing it this way were laid out in last thread.

>>50569356

Generally matches the user in some way, though not always.
>>
>>50569393

Nope, Legend Rider. Completely accurate to the source.
Ghost Specifically calls them the Legend Rider Eyecons for an example

Yes, you can, I forgot to add that clause in but you can purchase Movie Belt multiple times.

It's generally considered bad form to balance a jump around what someone may potentially do with an inter jump combo, isn't it?

I was paranoid about stuff like that starting out, less so now.

Well I was in Vampire the Requiem and started in London.

Unfortunately I hadn't quite thought through what would happen when my blood sucking sword killed another vampire and a few weeks in I became an accidental diablerist. Then after becoming a social pariah and the subject of several bloodhunts I took an "in for a penny, in for a pound" mindset and started diablerising the majority of the other vampires in London.

This all went great for a bit as I stacked so many anti-corruption/"you're always you" perks before this jump that I was not only providing a public service by killing vampires but I was also getting a bunch of blood potency and swanky new disciplines.

The strange thing about London in VtR is that there aren't really any vampires over the age of 250 despite the age, size and history of the city. That's because nearly 250 years ago something called the Cull happened and all but one of them died.

The Strix weren't particularly pleased that there weren't really any vampires left to kill in London given they'd waited 250 years and I spent the rest of the jump trying not to fall into torpor and trying not to be killed/possessed by unholy shadow owls.

This. Almost every attempt at inter-jump balance results in absolute cancer and can be argued to go against the spirit of Jumpchain itself.

All jumps should be balanced against the setting, not against the rest of Jumpchain.

So imagine a Spittle Runner from Invader Zim.
http://orig08.deviantart.net/6b71/f/2007/257/9/f/invader_zim__s_spittle_runner_by_mdmodeler.png
Now add on a lot of plasma weapons and shit like from the Wily Capsule. Not the "woowoowoo" one, but the "Final Boss Shoots Lots Of Bullshit At You" one.
There's also a large hard point on the bottom, for jacking into larger machines, similar to the Capsule or Eggman's Eggmobile.

Go ahead and add a large Irken Face design on the front that's part of the build; the bubble/windshield is in the mouth. The eyes are closed.
This is because in the recent rewrite of Gurren Lagann, I said "fuck it" and imported the ship into the Lagann-type Gunmen. The arms and legs are usually retracted, but when they come out the "mouth" closes and the eyes open up.
So the whole ship is compatible with Spiral Energy. Drills can manifest from any of the weapon systems or hard points.

Finally, I took Pimp My Ride from Fast & Furious, and I never bothered to unpimpify it, so the whole thing looks like it got decked out in the Casino Night Zone. Lots of neon and star designs. The "face" actually has one for a beauty mark. It's truly outrageous.
Truly truly truly outrageous.

Power Armor is a mainstay of this universe. It is, at once, your shield and your sword against the horrors in the dark, and what will keep you alive on many alien planets. Each Power Armor starts with a Base depending on your origin, which will start you with several upgrades for free. For everything else, you receive +1000 Suit Points to spend on all other upgrades. If you wish, you may convert 100 choice points into 100 more Suit Points, but not vice-versa.

[Universal Systems]

Life Support [Free/100sp] – Power Armor lives up to its name: it protects and keeps its user alive, first and foremost. Even the most basic of suits will provide a self-sustaining life support system. It puts the user in a sealed environment that can survive in a vacuum (though not extreme temperatures like sealed magma chambers or a sub-zero arctic), along with a self-sustaining oxygen supply. In addition, the suit will automatically repair itself and damage to the user’s vitals through the expenditure of Energy Tanks, which sustain the suit’s protection and the life of its user. It can also combat toxins or poisons that manage to move past the Power Armor’s protective seal, though it takes time to administer antibodies, and may leave the user vulnerable. You start with one life tank in your armor. For 100sp per tank, you can gain more.

Internal HUD [Free] – Whether through your retina or the visor of your helmet, you have a fully operational HUD system depicting the status of your life support, the status of your weapon (and ammo, should you rely on it), and a map system that automatically updates as you travel through a particular location. It needs to be modified manually to gain any new features beyond what you purchase here, but the programming code is flexible for the purpose of tactical, on-board systems.

For those who don't speak Metroid gameplay, Life Support starts your armor with two health bars on its own, basically.
>>
>>50569672
So, people are probably going to request an option to import an existing set of armor. I'd like to request that if they do, it's not added.
>>
>>50569356
Generally don't stress yourself too hard over stand rules--araki in general likes to break them sometimes. but as a rule of thumb, yes, they reflect the user. (In a really bizarre way though)
>>
>>50569460
>>50569548

The Jump isn't balanced around what people could do with interjump combos. That singular option wasn't included because of those concerns, but that hardly reflects on the Jump as a whole. Soul Eater is also old as dirt by Jump Standards, and I barely knew what I was doing at the time since it was the first Jump I made from scratch. (Dark Souls got made after I adopted the skeleton from another Jumpmaker, since I really wanted to see it done)
>>
>>50569702
And why is that, other than interjump balance?
>>
>>50569366

Motorcycle or giant robot or spaceship, depending on how dramatic or stealthy I want to be at the time and how many people are coming.

There will be a free import option.

Also, for those wondering why the 'Base' armors aren't listed yet, I wanna actually finish all the weapons and subsystems before I handpick what goes where.
>>
>>50569672
>In addition, the suit will automatically repair itself and damage to the user’s vitals through the expenditure of Energy Tanks, which sustain the suit’s protection and the life of its user.

Does Energy Tank = Life Tank in this instance?

Jumpers!

When was a time that you had to resort to stealth to do the things you had to do? I had to stealth a lot during G Gundam to accomplish the stuff I wanted to do. I was pretty shitty at actually robot fighting.
>>
>>50569757
That is correct.
>>
>>50569853
So the suit has one before you add the one from the Energy Tank? Or is it meant to start with two Energy Tanks.
>>
>>50569329
would it be kosher to use Legend Rider Movie Belt on a item I pick up In the DLC for this jump?

Also since the birth belt comes with a complete set of CLAWS Personal Type can you apply them to a different belt and have them run off a different power source with plug and play?
>>
>>50569899
The thing is that two life bars is basically the 'default' system plus one life tank. So it's two health bars, with one tank as a freebie.
>>
>>50569706
Insofar as there's any relation, there seems to be a slight parity between what people need in a stressful moment and the Stand power. Althogh it can be pretty roundabout, like an Entity Shard.

>Kira needed to conceal Hayato's power, develops new power to reset time
>Johnny wanted to improve himself to win race/walk again, gained Spin-based Stand with Acts
>Valentine wanted to save Ameria, developed fortune-reflecting ability from Jesus' corpse
>That one asshole kid who was obsessed with rock-paper-scissors got a Stand that let him steal other Stands by winning at the game
>Rohan's Stand turns people into books
>Tonio's Stand cooks really, really healthy food
>The lucky guy in part 7's Stand just talks to him about his latent stupid luck; he's just really proud of being lucky anyway

Even Pucci and Dio's incomprehensible gobbledygook ppan references a lot of personal desires and aspirations as motifs to upgrade Whitesnake into Made in Heaven

I think Heaven's Door is supposed to represent Rohan's position as Araki's self-insert. His power allows him to have intimate knowledge about everyone's past and motivations, and to write commands that must be obeyed. You know, like an author and their characters.

Incidentally, that's why Heaven's Door is my favorite self-insert power.

So if true. That means all I have to do is basically get bunch dagger, enchant them up as far as possible. Maybe import a few to different jumps like GoW, AGK. Then switch to different enchants on the fly. Like having a strong fire enchant, then swapping it for strong frost...etc.

One chain involved more than a few when I went overboard with the charisma/conversion perks and didn't know how to turn them off. Jumper goes to grocery story, the tale of how he inspected that watermelon reverberates throughout the community. Beat up bad guys, accidentally smack prophetic epiphanies about their true savior into their skulls. It was deeply unsettling and one of the main reasons that chain ended.

Just the one post!Hatred. They do crop up in multiple jumps, though.

I use them for disposable bodies and experimentation. They don't get to say no.
Not that they do.
It's strange having a nihilistic murder cult following you. They have, like, basically zero self-preservation instinct. When I say, "I want some people to perform monstrous experiments on", they actually start lining up.
I didn't do anything to make them start doing that.
That's just their default setting.

It's like, you know how in Lovecraft, some people just go completely fucknuts and start worshipping a shoggoth or some shit, and they don't even care if it eats them?
That's what's going on here. Except I'm the shoggoth.
S'weird.

Kinda cuts out a lot of effort on my part, though.

The Black Leg style also gives examples of high level techniques, ones that Sanji doesn't have until post timeskip. I think the first section of the perk, where it says you have a few months training, is more reliable then the bits describing what you can eventually do with the techniques.

Mentioned this a few days ago as someone wanted to go to I Dream of Jeannie and I figured it was a better idea to just stick in a note about supernatural stuff from sitcoms not working post-jump so I removed the limit and slapped in a note.

Also put in a note about how you can shove yourself into the workplace of the protagonists as some sitcoms sort of rely on that for you to be a character.

Without really paying attention to it, I managed to pick up a series of devoted Companions with a religious bent. As I don't always need my Companions and because I want them to have the personal freedom to live their own lives, as much as possible while following me around, there is plenty of time where I'm not entirely aware of what my Companions are doing. I probably wouldn't have noticed it if not for the run of jumps where I picked up varying forms of divinity: powered by devotion, and empowering followers perks.

Long story short, my Companions made a cult and have made it a point to spread that cult into every jump we experience. I tried getting them to stop, but that's the one bit of influence I can't seem to exert over them. I've since stopped trying and have more or less settled into the role.

The baroque renovations are growing on me.

I want to do Kingsglaive first before considering the full implications of XV. Finished watching several Japanese LPs of it, so I pretty much know the bulk of the story as far as that goes in game. Brotherhood, the Parting Novel, helped a little, but there's some questions about the DLC that I want to see answered.

XV is one of those that I really don't want to write a scenario for, because unlike Type-0 (Tabata's other major project in the main line) the story is very compact. There are a lot of "deviations" between XV and some other Final Fantasies - but a lot of those involve plot spoilers. You only get so much of it during Part I too. But that's partly why I want to do Kingsglaive instead, since Kingsglaive is much more freeform, and the timing isn't as tight. (starting from the Concord)

My next batch wasn't the batch I had planned anyways (What I was talking to ASA about ironic reversals came true), so it'll just be 5 small jumps, then the 4 scenario ones. If I can get the feel that I want for Kingsglaive down I'll see about making it 5 and 5. In typical fashion I won't claim XV, and heck, if somebody wants to make Kingsglaive, they can put their version up on the drive, I'll use my own for personal purposes.

It's literally DBZ with a bit more weird to it.
With high end martial arts to go with it you can be immune to all non-supernatural attacks and punch people with your existance.
Even without you can also buff your stats high enough to pulverize mountains with your fists. If you pick up Zen you can push your skills past normal limits and do things like ride a beam of light or jump into space. Flight Energy blasts, and kamehamehas are also a thing.

You can also make custom techniques yourself that can do all kinds of things from putting people in comas, setting them on fire, or making them drop dead.

The limiting factor is that Ki isn't endless and it takes a while to build up and charge.
Expect to do the whole anime stand in place charging thing a lot.

If you're trying to keep powerlevels low you should probably avoid Anima.
Even though it's possible to have low level campaigns it still gets out of hand after a long enough time.

On that note, here's my RvB Rebuild!
Jump 23: Project Freelancer
>Origin
Alias: Sparky, Freelancer Agent Arkansas
Age: 23 (250)
Sex: Female
Red (Drop-In)
>Location
Donut and Caboose's first day in Blood Gulch
>Abilities
Vic--always be able to phone Vic
Choice Words--always have perfect insult for any given occasion.
Aww he lived?--some bullshit always happens to keep me from dying accidentally. Purposefulkilling ends up as being imprisoned or something.
How Many in the What Now?--major buff to mental processing speed.
Master of the Incompetent--able to accomplish same amount and quality of work with less effort.
Storage Space--mindspace is always enough for full intelligence and memory
Best Friends!--can Import Chisame into any Jump, does not grant origin or perks
>Items
Modified Mjolnir IV Armor--awesome powered armor with neat side powers.
Signature Weapon--always manage to have for find Collapsibow or similar for a battle.
>Drawbacks
Donut--Donut follows me around. There's a music player built into the helmet, so won't be too bad.
Deleted--no record of me exists anywhere.

So this one's going to be fun. Show up with Donut, who instantly barnacles to my armor. Enjoy being the only competent fighter in Blood Gulch until Tex shows up. Mostly hang out with the Reds, occasionally sneak around Blue Base on "recon missions" that are really snack raids, and just generally have a fun time until things get super serious towards the end of the Jump. Also, lay hints but never actually say was a Freelancer. Have fun screwing with folks.

I actually just bought and watched kingsglaive.

Can I ask that if you do make it, you make the starting point early enough to utterly fuck over the niffshits plans to destroy lucis?
>>
>>50572208
I'm not exactly an expert on summoning, but I'll try and explain it.
Summoning supernatural beings to you and binding them is something you can do. Usually the stronger the harder it is for you to do it. More than one at a time is riskier but doable. If you fuck up really bad things happen and you probably die because something you didn't want got summoned and now you're out of mana.

You can also make pacts and summon invocations that are kind of like final fantasy summons.
Stronger summons usually require more restrictive pacts, but I think there's a perk now so you don't need to worry about it as much.

In addition there's another kind of summoning called incarnation where you kind of mantle the being whose power you're calling on.

I don't really have any high end feats off the top of my head for any of them since it relies on knowing what you're summoning can do. Kind of like how conjuration in D&D gets silly when you know what to summon from the monster manual.
Hopefully that helps, it's certainly not a bad idea to go for summoning if you don't overreach past your skill level.
>>
>>50572340
Uh currently I'm considering whether it place it at the time of the concord meeting between Tenebrae and Lucis, but that would mean that the actual events of Kingsglaive would probably be outside of the ten year span since the Concord was held about 12 years back. There's a couple solutions I have for that though personally.

If you haven't actually played XV, I'm not going to spoil anything for you, but there's actually a fair number of reasons why you might want to help the Niffshits.
>>
>>50572419
...really? The guys with an army of robot and monsters, who basically took over the entire world?

>>
>>50572477
Uh, I'll put it under spoilers.
Basically the entire plot of XV was an immortal who was trying to go for broke with his plan to either kill himself, or give a big Fuck You to the Astrals who are currently controlling the world from the shadows. Niflheim is basically his pawn in this case, and they're under the impression that they're uniting the world together as one - the King is obsessed with uniting the crystals together, but doesn't realize that what he's doing is just dancing in the Immortal's palm. But see, without the Immortal dying, eventually the world is going to plummet into eternal darkness and die anyways. But the only person capable of doing it is the "Chosen One" by the Astrals, Noct in this case. Noct's Father wasn't strong enough in his time (Bahamut was the only Astral who aligned with him apparently), and so he basically had to die to give Noct a chance. Without Insomnia falling though, Noct would've basically just been fine with marrying away and chilling for the rest of his days - they deliberately mention in Parting and Brotherhood that since his accident years back, he's kind of secluded away and tried to hide away from responsibility (partly because he's actually permanently weakened after the accident). The entire plot of Kingsglaive and early XV is the Immortal guiding Noct on the path to the point where they can fight equally, and either way, the Immortal wins. If he dies, he finds peace finally. If he wins, the Astrals get their come uppance.

One of the Astrals tries to kill him. She succeeds. Then he comes back to life immediately afterwards.
>>
>>50572534

>>
>>50572477
Part II of spoilers following >>50572564
The Daemons that Niflheim sports are actually humans. You see, the Immortal was chosen in the distant past by the Astrals to try and fight the "Darkness" (It's called Starscourge). His solution was basically to absorb it into his own body, and this actually worked - but the Astrals give him the middle finger when he eventually died and should have moved on. Instead he became Immortal. So begins his own plans to make the Daemons stronger, by experimenting on humans and boosting them. Eventually he turns Niflheim inside out - when it eventually becomes evident that he doesn't need those pawns anymore. The WEAPONS in the game are the endgame as far as the Daemons are concerned, but even then there are worldbuilding questions (like why some Daemons morph into different forms, which monsters can be considered Daemons, whether there are "pure" Daemons versus "experimental" Daemons, and so forth). The Immortal even mentions that it was a waste to burn Insomnia down with the WEAPONs, since he didn't need it to happen necessarily, but the Empire needed to be fooled a bit longer.

And cover my freaky hate powered eyes?

>>
>>50572928
Maybe maybe not
Part of the ongoing dilemma right now with lore regarding the Starscourge is that a very substantial part of it requires the designated sacrifice of the "True King" along with the crystal. It's unclear, due to how the game's ending comes about, whether this sacrifice is actually effective at stopping the Starscourge - which is very similar to how "Entropy" worked back in 13: Lightning Returns.

A large part of the issue right now with XV's worldbuilding (and consequently my version of the jump) is that the world is massive in comparison to the worldbuilding, and a lot of it is unknown in terms of state. We know that Niflheim has technically unified the continent save for Lucis, but we don't know whether that's "the known continent" or "the Niflheim region" or "the entirety of Eos". We also don't know exactly what the extent of Starscourge affliction is - we know that it will, in time, convert all of humanity into Daemons, but we don't know whether the Eternal Night that's brought about is an eventuality - and why the Astrals have taken a backseat to things. A lot of it is summed up in game as "This is the way Fate works".

As a summoning fanatic though I'm pretty disappointed with this entry's summons, both in number as well as in effect. Preventing Insomnia from falling all in all, should be pretty easy. No clue how perma-killing the Immortal will work, considering he's holding the Starscourge at bay.

Also so his cover of being a genocidal monster would work and Sasuke would hate him and get strong before Itachi died. It worked to well.
>>
>>50573248
It explicitly does not.
>>
>>50573216
I wish. Sadly, jump fiat says you have to permakill a loved one to get you mango sherry eyes.

>>50573232
Erm, yes? I even think it worked... right up until sasuke started repressing the memories, and the sherry gone. So, it went too well. That could be fanon though.
>>
>>50573248
Probably not, just because the person who saw it didn't have access to the relevant perks at the time.
>>
>>50573232
I don't think so, you probably need to have awakened the normal sharingan before you can trigger the mango.
>>
I'm already her dodging schoolwork, so I might as well ask a question to the thread.

what, if any, is your jumper's signature outfit(s)?
>>
>>50573235
>Madara got it from Izuna dying
I don't think so. Izuna died because he tried fighting after giving Madras his eyes because Madras was going blind from overusing Mangos.
>>
>>50573288
Yeah I got my timeline messed up. Madara got the Eternal upgrade because Izuna gave him his eyes then died.
>>
>>50573263
Where? Trying to find it in the jump.

>>50573265
Well Sasuke awoke his after retroactively feeling grief.
>>
>>50573266
If memory serves he did show it to him over and over again, so...

Then again this was probably early on before the rules for that nonsense were established, so that Itachi could just have an edge sharper than Jack Slash's knives.
>>
>>50573270
Tactician's coat from Awakening, or some vaguely japanese clothing.
>>
>>50573310
Or it just took a while for them to activate after the very current death of his brother?
>>
>>50573288
Was it ever said how they awoke theirs, anyway?
>>
>>50573328
No, because they activated right after Obito told him the truth about Itachi.
>>
>>50573321
You're so salty about Naruto.

>>50573331
It can probably be assumed that Madara at least did what most Uchiha did, purposefully befriending and then killing someone to force the upgrade. That clan was even more fucked up when everyone knew about the Mangekyou.
>>
>>50573328
He didn't feel bad about Itachi at the time. Like at all.
>>
>>50573345
Yes, which was right after Itachi died. It's not retroactive grief because that was the first moment Sasuke felt grief over Itachi's death at all.
>>
>>50573347
>It can probably be assumed that Madara at least did what most Uchiha did
Wait, was that common? I thought there were only a few people to ever awaken it outside of those relevant to the story.
>>
>>50573321
Itachi's the least edgy Uchiha besides pre-Rin death Obito. His choices were either killing his clan or allowing them to start a civil war and potential World War. He spared Sasuke because he loved him, and only put him through all that bullshit because he thought Madara was still alive and knew for sure Danzo was around. He even admits later on that he fucked up with Sasuke and tries to apologize.
>>
>>50573264
Read, mothafucka!

>Mangekyo Sharingan (0 CP, requires Uchiha bloodline-limit to be purchased): Do you really desire power that badly? ... It's your choice, but it will cost you something more valuable than CP. To receive the Mangekyo Sharingan you must watch someone you truly love die. This must be a powerful and true love though it can be platonic or romantic. If this doesn't render you a wreck of a human being then you didn't love them enough, and they are simply dead. Anyone killed this way can't cheat death in anyway or your eyes won't change into the Mangekyo variant. No, illusions and altering memories won't work either. The power you received from this terrible act is impressive, and there are some who would argue it's worth it.

>You have gained three abilities that are all very costly chakra wise, quickly exhausting your reserves. You will, of course, need to train them to use them effectively.

>The Mangekyo Sharingan can be activated anytime during or after this jump so long as you watch a loved one die. The degradation in eyesight resets at the start of each new jump, and though nobody in canon bothers trying, healing your eyes may well be possible; you'll still need to re-heal them every once in a while if you do find a method though.

It's ambiguous, but the perk text outright states that you just need to watch, whereas it's implied that you don't. Actual description trumps implication, though.
>>
>>50573347
I just spent three weeks writing up my Naruto build on pastebin, and part of that was reading the manga. Entirely. You're GODDAMN RIGHT I'm salty.
>>
>>50573365
And that would be the first time you feel grief over it while having a Sharingan.
>>
>>50573381
That's pretty sad man.
>>
>>50573270
This >>50573175. It's a Kamui fused with Micromail from Discworld.
>>
>>50573380
I suppose if I steal one from the local edgelord in that jump I wont have to watch a loved one die right?
>>
>>50573400
It killed time. Could be worse. It's pretty evident that he had no idea what the fuck he was doing until later though.
>>
>>50573393
I seriously doubt that just feeling grief over the loss of a loved one if you've lost them years ago and felt much stronger grief at the time without the sharingan, is going to meet the requirements.

>>50573416
Dojutsu aren't as strong if they're not yours originally, so you'll want to find a way around that with science or perks.
>>
>>50573417
Itachi or Kishimoto? Because Itachi never knew what he was doing until like twenty minutes before his death and Kishimoto planned and foreshadowed the fuck out of that manga. Except for lol Kaguya.
>>
I'm mostly just annoyed that I can't buy both edgy eyes and milky eyes without being the goofiest looking heterochromac of all time.
>>
>>50573416
This is my plan. I mean, I abused that one drawback from... underworld? To get the actual version after a while, but before that I enjoyed 'borrowing' some of danzo's eyes. Because lets face it, he has too many.
>>
>>50573446
Nah man Doujutsu aren't as strong if you don't have both eyes. It's why Madara was playing eye juggle towards the end.
>>
>>50573461
I just took Obito's actual fucking wall of the damn things.
>>
>>50573379
Shisui was supposed to be pretty cool too, right?
>>
>>50573470
No, they're not as strong if they're not your eyes and you've just taken them, such as how Pein's Rinnegan, really Madara's, are much weaker then when Madara has them. They're also weaker if you're not of the right clan, such as how Danzo's use of the Sharingan is much weaker then Obito's use of the same moves.
>>
>>50573446
>Dojutsu aren't as strong if they're not yours originally
Pretty sure it's more that they're weaker if you're not already a Uchiha.
>>
>>50573453
Tobi/"Madara"/Obito was kind of an asspull though. Should have dropped more hints about there being a puppet master before revealing him. Actually, they should have saved it until after Pain/Nagato got to show off a little bit. As it was, what little buildup he got as the leader of Akatsuki was lost pretty fucking quickly, though the Pain Invasion arc gave him some of that back when he took on and stomped Konoha by himself.

>>50573486
Yeah, he tried to stop the Coup but got one of his eyes stolen by Danzo. Since he figured ROOT would come for the other eye, he gave it to Itachi and then took his own life, hoping to give Itachi the edgy mangos and to convince the Uchiha to stop the Coup by leaving behind a note. They, of course, completely misinterpreted it.
>>
>>50573486
He shows up for like twenty seconds but twelve year old Itachi thought he was a cool dude.
>>50573496
I was thinking Kakashi's use of the sharingan at the Kaguya fight to fuck her up hard but that might have been made weird by Obito transmigrating into him.
>>

Also, Obito's use of Madara's Rinnegan is weaker then Madara's use of them. Obito with them was quite strong as the Masked Man, but only about equal to Naruto when he first got the Kyuubi's Sage cloak. Madara with them, after he'd been resurrected but didn't have any other upgrades, was able to take on all 9 bijuu at once. Gives a completely different level of power boost to the true owner, despite both being Uchiha.
>>
>>50573496
>>50573446
Wait wait wait.

What if... I awaken Rinnegan and/or Mangekyou on my own through CP and then replace(or insert in addition) other pair of Mangekyou eyes that had Rinnegan from, say, Madara? Does my Rinnegan upgrade in any way?
>>
>>50573578
Because Madara is an Uchiha. Sharingan's work better for them. That doesn't mean that they're not also working better for the original owner.

And Kakashi's eye is actually Obito's anyway.
>>
>>50573542
Yeah he either should have been introduced as the fake leader or Obito should have had more hints dropped.
>>50573599
Also Madara is Madara.
>>50573585
No. You'd probably get Madara's broken as fuck Limbo clones though.
>>
>>50573585
Nope. Combining Mangekyou eyes has only been shown to stop them going blind, not give any sort of power boost so I don't imagine combining Rinnegan would either..
>>
>>50573578
...THAT IS TRUE. He managed to take the eye that was responsible for teleporting things at range, and used it to self teleport... even Obito couldn't use his single Sharingan to teleport things at range.

...unless it is some stupidity like Madara just inserting right eye into left eye socket to get left eye powers
>>
>>50573582
Isn't technically NOT Madara's anyway, since he only got the eyes by splicing Hashirama's flesh? That should amount to it being weaker for him than it would a natural user (The Sage, basically)
>>
>>50573599
Actualy the eyes are better for an uchiha other than the original owner, that is part of whole Eternal Mango thing.
>>
>>50573614
>Madara is Madara
So? Having a meme about him isn't worth anything.

You also aren't getting Limbo clones. Combining eyes doesn't give you those unique techniques. Sasuke doesn't get Tsukiyomi for instance.
>>
>>50573624
Would it at least let me use all my Rinnegan abilities at full power?

Because as it stands the Jumper's Rinnegan is Pain's weakened version, not the full power Rinnegan because full power usually has some additional stuff
>>
>>50573629
Rinnegans are formed by Six Paths chakra. That can be gotten by combining Ashura+Indra chakra. Sasuke didn't need any Senju cells to get it.
>>
>>50573582
Yeah but Obito was a fucking scrub compared to Madars at everything else anyway. So it makes sense he'd be better at the rinnegan, too.
>>
>>50573654
>Because as it stands the Jumper's Rinnegan is Pain's weakened version
No.
>>
>>50573654
I derped. I meant whether or not it will further limit us because Rinnegan we took isn't ours even though we had awakened our own before
>>
>>50573629
They're Madara's eyes, it's just not Madara's flesh (Not fully anyway). All that seems to matter is the eyes.

>>50573633
No, that's not how it is at all. All other eyes do when combined with yours, and they need to be your family relations I believe, is stop you going blind. That's not replacing your eyes, just combining them with another set.

>>50573654
Anon, I'm not sure what you want. There is no reason combining eyes would boost your power when nothing points to that being the case and several things point against it. Even Madara didn't use more then one path at a time, he just unlocked extra abilities due to having all the bullshit he had on at once, as well as having several jutsu based on the rinnegan and not based on the specific paths.
>>
>>50573658
Wait, so if you extract some of Naruto and Sasuke's Sage chakra and inject it in yourself, could you get a Rinnegan?
>>
Oh for god's sake. THIS is what makes me salty. It never ends!
>>
>>50573721
Probably. Unless you get a stable source though like biting off parts of them and infusing yourself with their DNA it porbably won't last.

Yup.

The Rinnegan can typically be awakened by gaining Hagoromo's chakra either by reproducing it from combining the chakra of Hagoromo's sons, Indra and Asura,[7] or by directly receiving chakra from Hagoromo himself.[8]

Speaking of eye powers, what happens if you remove a Jagan Eye? Direct path to the brain? Another socket? Lightless void?

What would happen if you reimplanted the same eye into the same person? What about a different eye?

It is funny how other than odd physiology, the only bloodline that
Otsutsuki race has is Byakugan, anything else is from eating chakra fruits, pills, or if you were lucky enough to get, from a pill, a chakra consuming Rinnegan that lets you absorb people you can upgrade yourself more.

So all their bullshit is just due to Christmas tree of might fruit
>>
>>50573803
How many examples of people eating chakra fruit do you have?
>>
>>50573833
Technically every kind of bullshit in naruto comes from the christmas tree.
There wouldn't be chakra otherwise.
>>
>>50573837
Three, all of whom ended up with the same doujutsu. Why is there any reason to assume you'd get something never before seen in the series when there's no reason to believe that?
>>
>>50573833
Did those two ones in Boruto have the bone powers?

>>50573838
Not really true. We know there are other trees and we can't know for sure if all chakra across the multiverse originated with some original tree.
>>
>>50573762
Funnier part, you need senju cells in some way to use Rinnegan good. Nagato had them, and Obito had them due to white zetsu body.

Kaguya had the Kaguya Clan's bone manipulation powers too. Not everything came from her Rinne-Sharingan.

Because you can't. Even if you tried to argue that it doesn't manipulate genes, it's clearly against the spirit of the jump, so expect incoming nerfs.

>Manipulating genes thoroughly enough to grant bloodline-limits has a one percent survival rate, and if they do survive it will only have a one percent success rate, and each success worsens these odds. Successful experiment's power will be much weaker than a bought option. That's all if the procedure is preformed by an excellent geneticist and doctor.
>>
>>50573845
They didn't. Also their Rinnegan was different and they didn't get forehead one, until one went full Buu and ate his companion.

They ate pills and if you stop taking pills every now and then, you lose these powers but no crazy

>>

>>
>>50573875
Momoshiki and his companion, the fat one. The big villains of the Boruto movie. Can you at least bother researching something before talking shit man? It takes a minute or two to search up the relevant stuff.
>>
>>50573868
I don't think that applies here, mate.
>>
>>50573079
I think it is mainly for legacy builds. If you don't care you might not want to bother going back and splitting the jump up into two jumps.

What are some options to just straight-up upgrade my skeleton? Preferably while maintaining full functionality. Also not just raw durability, unless whoever/whatever also comes with direct skelton boosting.

I know about Kaguya bloodline, Spess Marine, and Symbiote, but are there any others?
>>
>>50573954
Fallout 4 has a skeleton mutation. I don't want to say it's only durability, but it pretty much is.
You'd look cool in a skeleton form though.

You could probably make a Marvel Combo involving your skeleton. That's freeform enough to patch whatever hole you might have in preformance.
>>
Can Transformative Wings from Darkstalkers be purchased more than once?
>>
>>50573949
I just feel like call him a "whiny bitch" is kind of...I don't know, stupid and petty? Dude grew up as a servant/slave; has a mark on his head clearly marking him as a servant/slave that could also be used to punish him; watched his uncle punish his father right in front of him because his dad defended him; lost said dad because his uncle saved his (the uncle's) daughter, killed the kidnapper, and then the clan decided to hand over his dad instead of his uncle as payment for the kidnapper's death; and then spent the rest of his life up until Naruto kicked his ass believing that his situation would never change and that his fate had already been decided.

I'm not going to argue that he wasn't a dick, because he was. What he did to Hinata, Lee, and Naruto was not cool, and at least part of his attitude came from not understanding that Hiashi didn't want to trade his brother and that his dad sacrificed himself rather then being simply traded off. Still, calling him a "whiny bitch" doesn't really fit.
>>
>>50573949
Too bad Neji grew into being an Uncle Tom.
>>
>>50574017
Getting offended for the sake of a fictional character is what's stupid and petty.
>>
>>50574008

I don't believe so.
>>
>>50573954
Marvel has the option to coat your bones in Adamantium, but then they can't move much, even shapeshifting from other perks or that jump will be slow af when it comes to your skeleton.

EMH has the better option, since you can get Proto-Adamantium bones and as far as I know YJ_anon hasn't made a ruling on it affecting your shapeshifting speeds.

Beyond that I think one of the parasites in Skullgirls affects your skeleton, but I don't know if that was available for purchase. You could likely make one if not.

There are several tech absorbing perks, one in EMH, one a Worm power, and I suspect several more, that can help by merging technological devices into your bones, but you could do that the slow way with Symbiote, so it's not as necessary.

You could pick Bone as your focus in Baynetta, which would get you a few nifty bone powers.

I think Earth Ant from SimAnt lets you take on traits of metals you eat, or something like that, so you could eat some fancy magic metals and improve your bones that way.

Hope some of these ideas help.

To be fair, it got dropped pretty fucking quickly, though part of that was Hiashi, Hinata, and Neji trying to fix the relationship between the two branches, if I remember right.

>>
>>50574217
Uh, hey, NikaMoth...as the person who accidentally started that whole fiasco by asking about what the power levels meant for my chain, since it was my fourth jump, you may want to put a warning in your jump version. Because it got pretty crazy, apparently.

(again no Idea what I am doing but here goes.)

So this was a thing. We found ourselves in a city that where the local Super team and recently disbanded. It seemed the most logical thing in the world to install myself and my companions as a super team.

Things started out ok, though it was strange dealing with Saturday morning cartoon levels of villainy. A few of them were more misguided than anything and I tried to help those people straighten out their lives.

Then Team Go reformed and decided to take their city back. Somehow they had come under the misconception that we were really villains masquerading as heroes (To be fair… some unfortunate actions by Rick and Snowflame actually made it seem they had evidence.)

We fought and defeated them (somehow Shego had gotten involved) but somehow this lead to team possible getting involved and it was a bit of a mess.

Things were sorted out; I promised to keep a tighter reign on Rick and Snowflame.

DBZ hell, the high ends of Sailor Moon are up there with SMT in terms of insanity. The top tiers in that universe (which you thankfully aren't likely to encounter) are literal universe busters, at least over a prolonged battle. And unlike DBZ fighters they have the magical hax to back up their power, meaning they're doubly bullshit. They're basically Metatron and Lucifer from SMT at full power.
>>
>>50574108
The damage from opening the Gates is just from pushing yourself too hard, right? Like hysterical strength?
And because Naruto ninjas are strong and fast, but they don't have much in the way of regeneration.

So if you bestowed some sort of healing on a Lee or Guy, they could potentially survive opening all 8 Gates, yes?

Because Lee is my favorite character too. And I want to turn his badassedness up to 11.

Would implanting a miniaturized TF 2 medic gun work?

I think it may damage your chakra network, too. Not sure how that would be affected by a healing factor.
>>
>>50574496
The Gates cause you to sweat so hard it explodes into steam. Or your blood actually catches fire. It's a bit more then hysterical strength.
>>
>>50574496
No it tears your chakra network apart. Using the later gates is like turning your body into an autocannibalistic oven.
However with a strong enough healing factor the first few should be safer. Maybe not safe enough to have active all the time, but safer.
>>
>>50574517
>>50574532
Isn't the Chakra Network a physical thing? Naruto's healing factor repaired his after he shoved his hand into a Rasenshuriken, didn't it?

His healing factor didn't repair his. That's why he was banned from using it until he learned to throw it.
>>
>>50574553
Yes and no. It's a mix of physical and spiritual.
You might be able to do it with esoteric healing factors, but eight gates is beyond healing anyways. Not even endgame Naruto could fix it fully.

If I picked up the arrow from the jojo jump and stabbed myself with it, would I get the stand even without purchasing the stand perk? Assuming I have the spiritual strength of course.
>>
>>50574496
It would take some absolutely insane bullshit to manage to survive using the Eight Gates.

I did it using a Senjutsu-enhanced version of Tsunade's Strength of a Hundred combined with an unholy combination of super-advanced Juuinjutsu based on Orochimaru's work and my own innovations, allowing me to go Super Saiyan at the cost of burning up close to a month of my lifespan every minute that I remained in that form. I countered the breakdown via near-instantaneous cell division. I was literally growing new bodies faster than the Gates could burn them up.

The thing you mentioned about Tsunade, is that the thing in the middle of her forehead that she squirrels away extra juice into, to call on when she needs it?

Well for one, a fucking fetish for roll-tables that deserved him getting shot. Completely fucked up Wakfu and Fairy Tail with that shit.
>>
>>50575148
He wasn't a very good jump maker and took a bunch of very popular properties that he didn't do a very good job on, for various reasons. Sometimes, this led to people complaining legitimately, like with a lot of Sailor Moon or Fairy Tail's complaints. Still, a lot of the time this was latched onto by shitposters and went from legitimate complains (Why does this poorly represent the series? for instance) to people screaming at each other over power levels.

Outside of those two and maybe one or two other jumps, his stuff rarely came up after it was first posted.
>>
>>50575121

I'm planning on letting the jumper pick whatever celestial body they want to theme themselves as (they could also be sailor earth or sun if they wanted), but sailor eris will be considered a 'default' powerset if the jumper doesn't want to make one or is too uncreative to think of one.

keep in mind im half-asleep right now as i write this so.

also no, they're not THAT different. I'm going to take concepts from the original jump, since there are some concepts in there I don't want to go to waste.

And much to the surprise of ABSOLUTELY NO ONE it turns out giving a jumpmaker and their circle hell and endless shitposting turns a man absolutely paranoid and broken so.... yeah

Honestly you can criticize a jump but god most of you are titanic asshats about it.
>>
>>50575180
I want to blame you taking the same side as Jerry over there, but-technically you're not wrong. It's just unlike, say, Mib or Manyfist he came across as being open to constructive criticism without everyone having to go full retard at everyone.
>>
>>50575206
And a lot of people can act like over defensive pricks the second anyone criticises someone they like, no matter how that criticism is phrased or how valid it is. You for instance, are a perfect example, using a post that makes no insult to the jumpmaker and acknowledges that a lot of complaints are just shitposting, to springboard off into complaining about everyone as if they're all evil anons out to get you and everyone good.

If you're going to call people assholes, take a look at how you're posting first. It's a hell of a lot more effective when you're not trying to start something with others.

>>50575214
Which is why I think it was only those two jumps that ever gave him trouble. Look at Many or Mib and you'll see their attitudes make arguments happen for basically any property they pick up. They act like stubborn assholes and so people return that attitude.

I think the difference with Fairy Tail and Sailor Moon was a combination of a few things. One, the jumps are technically proficient. It's not like Mib's Deadman Wonderland where it's not even a complete work. Two, most people are only familiar with stuff the jump covers, like how most people only really remember the first part of Sailor Moon. Three and probably the most important, that no one who noticed the problems cared enough to push hard for the fixes until a few months ago, during a time when Wakfu was already feeling disillusioned with Jumpchain to some extent. With other stuff, he often picked up much more obscure settings, so if they had any issues or not, people wouldn't really notice or care enough to give feedback (Kind of a big problem sometimes).
>>
>>50575229
Oh yeah, I forgot he did. I need to brush up on my sailor moon knowlege and go to sleep. It's late where I am.

And yeah, there is a ceres. I should note what's taken and what's not in the Sailor Senshi origin.
>>
>>50575240
You could always include an option to replace a canon senshi or share a position with them, as long as it's not someone like Moon or Galaxia obviously. It certainly isn't without precedent to take the place of canon characters like that (Naruto is the one everyone knows) and it'd give a whole bunch more freedom.
>>
>>50575214
As far as I know he was, but the thing is, some people disagreed with him fundamentally on his design choices, which is probably one of the worst things that can happen to a jumpmaker.

If it was just a minor thing like a perk that needed to be changed or some tweaks in CP, it wouldn't be much of an issue at all, but when it's something like how you fundamentally design a jump (the roll thing), as a jumpmaker you're kind of left to question whether you should just scrap everything and say fuck it.

Then add on top of that the fact that the most vocal folks around here are generally either shitposters, people pointing out problems with the jump, or people pointing out shit they want from a popular IP - well, if it's like Wakfu's stuff, where the IPs aren't all that popular with everyone and doesn't get brought up except when people criticize it...it really doesn't help with his self esteem as a jumpmaker at all.

Even if he was open to constructive criticism, it only goes so far before you eventually come to the conclusion that you shouldn't even bother trying anymore, and I think the folks here just pushed him to that point.
>>
>>50575239
>With other stuff, he often picked up much more obscure settings, so if they had any issues or not, people wouldn't really notice or care enough to give feedback (Kind of a big problem sometimes).

For some folks, picking up obscure settings is a terrible choice, especially if they get motivation from validation. You get some jumpmakers who give no fucks about validation - those guys are the best to do obscure settings, because chances are, the jump will be forgotten the moment it gets posted and the thread it got posted on dies.
>>
>>50575239
>>50575254

>>
>>50575291
His arguments amount to basically nerf/buff, don't listen to person who wants nerf/buff, muh Red, muh IRC, muh jumpmaker who ever publicly called me out, muh spacebattles jumpchain is shit if he's on his own. If someone else was arguing for something, he copies what they said and repeats it like an asshole because he doesn't actually know anything about anything.

You can see it here >>50575300 .
>>
>>50575291
Look dude, can you stop with the Jerry/Timmy/The Shitposter thing? You don't help with it. All you do is make it so that when someone does raise a valid complaint, it's pathetically easy to shut them down and devolve the whole thread into arguments about it. I've seen it happen time and again. Shit, it happened with this whole Wakfu thing several times over. Yes, sometimes it is used against actual shit posters but a lot of the time it is not. I've had personal experience with being shut down because someone didn't like what I was saying and it's the most frustrating thing in the world when you make an effort to be polite already and get shit on.

It's stupidly naive to assume one person is the cause of everything wrong with the chain and just gives whatever trolls do exist all the more power because they can throw around those accusations and they are always, always, effective and stopping any sort of reasonable discussion.

If you hate shitposters? Stop giving them the best ammo they could ever get. Ignore them. Let them starve.

Questions for Myrmidont about the Eclipse Phase jump...

I'm planning on going Surya, and I'm wondering if I can modify the Hab that is for purchase in the item section to be used as a circumsolar hab much like Ukko Jylinä?

And then further, if I can have it appear in orbit of a star that follows me around in other jumps? (specifically, one from the upcoming Personal Constellation option in the upcoming Paper Mario jump.)

Anyhow... The Surya's (and maybe Salamander's, not sure) Coronal Adaptation states they die after a few days away from the sun. Is this because of lack of nutrients from solar radiation, or something else?

I don't need to eat and stuff, so if it's just that, I'd be able to go around the solar system with my sun-whale and Salamander forms. Which would be cool.

Currently considering whether I'll go Surya/Salamander/Sundiver, or switch Sundiver out for some Morphs that'd be more generally useful like a basic Splicer. But then Neo-Whale seems cool too...

Also, could I give another morph the Salamander looks with Cosmetic Alterations? Not the whole 'surviving on solar metabolism' thing, but just the look? I like their aesthetic.

Which one would work best to modify like that?

Also also, how does getting the traits of your Morphs for your base body works with Synthmorphs? Do you get the basic advantages of being a Synth too, like no biological needs and pain filters?

From what I understand, it's also due to temperature variations: the Surya (and Salamander) are both built to bleed away excess heat so efficiently that if they're anywhere except the solar corona, they effectively freeze to death.
The Coronal Adaptation text states they can be kept alive away from the sun with extensive medical support, but what that support is isn't detailed.
Way I see it, if your jumper doesn't need to eat and is immune to cold, they should be able to survive in a Surya away from the sun.

>Also, could I give another morph the Salamander looks with Cosmetic Alterations?
Yep.

>Which one would work best to modify like that?
Probably a Critter pod, Bouncer or Hibernoid. Critter because you can sculpt it to be pretty much anything anthro, and Bouncer & Hibernoid because they've got a few of the same built-in mods as Salamanders already.

>Also also, how does getting the traits of your Morphs for your base body works with Synthmorphs? Do you get the basic advantages of being a Synth too, like no biological needs and pain filters?
I'm actually going to re-do that part to be clearer & prevent some possible weirdness/abuses. Which people are going to complain about but I think is necessary.
The changes I'm making are:
CP purchased augmentations will integrate into your base form.
For each morph you purchased with cp, you chose to keep it as a separate, spare body (for sleeving into) in your warehouse, or it becomes an altform.

Well, there's a good chance I'd made them in another timeline to dick around in my current timeline for reasons. So I just nod and let them get on with their work so I can focus on my own. Which may or may not include making a clone to send to an alternate timeline.

Ah, that makes sense too.

Luckily, I'm also immune to cold. So that's really cool, thank you.

>Yep.
>Probably a Critter pod, Bouncer or Hibernoid. Critter because you can sculpt it to be pretty much anything anthro, and Bouncer & Hibernoid because they've got a few of the same built-in mods as Salamanders already.
Excellent. Looking them up, Bouncer seems the best bet for the full package, though Critter could be useful for being cheaper and easier. Less useful in microgravity though.

Would need to grab a few more implants... Chameleon Skin and Enhanced Vision seem like they'd fall under Standard Utility Mods (considering Chameleon Skin is an example of those), and with that I should be able to get the full look.

Not sure what purchases the Gas Jet System or Vacuum Sealing would fall under? But I suppose they're not that important, if pretty nice. I can already fly in space anyway.

...Not really seeing similarities between Salamanders and Hibernoids myself, at least not from the info on here? Might be wrong though, since I'm not sure how reliable wikis are for these morphs.

But I guess there's workarounds for that.

Anyway, thanks for answering my questions!

Also might want to correct the Flexbot notes where you say
>each purchase adding 6 modules (in total the mass of a child)
but the link to the morph page say each individual module is 75cm * 75cm * 25cm and weigh around 35 kg (without armor).
So unless you know a child that weigh around 6*35=210 kilograms...

And on that note, when you say
>For each morph you purchased with cp, you chose to keep it as a separate, spare body (for sleeving into) in your warehouse, or it becomes an altform.
what happens if you get a CP-bought Flexbot and add more modules? Or if you take another morph but then upgrade it (like welding a cannon into a synthmorph's arm)?

>>
>>50577163
>Not sure what purchases the Gas Jet System or Vacuum Sealing would fall under?
It's pretty much fanwank exactly what mods come under which categories. Both of those would sensibly come under standard pilot utility mods, if you have that skill package/skillsoft. Or the Gas Jet System might be a standard or professional Acrobatics utility mod (as it helps you maneuver), and Vacuum Sealing might also be part of the Immunisation Mods at the 150cp level (part of short term immunity to vacuum exposure).

>...Not really seeing similarities between Salamanders and Hibernoids myself, at least not from the info on here? Might be wrong though, since I'm not sure how reliable wikis are for these morphs.
My bad, I mis-remembered. I though Hibernoids had vacuum sealing like Salamanders. Vacuum pods are much better.

>>50577204
>Flexbots
Good catch. It should be *each module* has the mass of a child, not "in total".

>what happens if you get a CP-bought Flexbot and add more modules? Or if you take another morph but then upgrade it (like welding a cannon into a synthmorph's arm)?
The intention being that changes made to morphs will remain, but only for those specific morphs or altforms.
So if you bought 6 more flexbot modules, your flexbot morph or flexbot altform keeps that many modules, or if you weld a cannon on your synth, then that morph or altform keeps the cannon.

Yup, pretty much how I had envisionned it and if I understand you correctly, only CP-bought morphs (whether upgraded or not) will be able to become an alt-form.

Also concerning the Utility Mods, they are intented to work the same as if you had purchased the corresponding Skill Package, except without the free gear but with augments corresponding to the level of Utility Mod bought?

>>
>>50569366

That or a normal looking car.
>>
>>50577524
The scythe isn't going to grow as she does and she's not exactly in a position to have something fancy crafted in her life. The cloak wouldn't grow either and I doubt she really cares about appearances considering she barely interacted with anyone but her sisters.
>>
>>50577499
I may have worded that awkwardly but let me rephrase that:
You gave 2 examples of Utility Mods for morphs (biomorph + standard stealth = basic chameleon skin, and synth + cutting-edge stealth = thermal cloak, laser comms and metamaterial shell) so I imagine that it gives the specific morph implants/traits corresponding to a Skill Package, but does it also give you bits of knowledge like you'd have from the skill package (taking the synthmorph + cutting-edge stealth mods as an example, would it give me knowledge on how to be stealthy and use related upgrades better)?
>>
>>50577746
Alas, no. Augmentations don't grant knowledge, except for skillsofts. Buying standard stealth mods without having the Stealth Skill Package or a Stealth Skillsoft would make you someone with "all the gear, but no idea".
>>
>>50577693
>I doubt she really cares about appearances

Well, you have to remember that in Fate lore the Gorgons eventually transformed into giant monsters as a result of Athena's curse. Medusa's form as a Servant isn't what she actually looked like at that age, it's a hypothetical reconstruction of what her appearance would have been had she not been horrible mutated. So it's not like she really had a choice in her outfit.
>>
>>50578076
It doesn't matter.

Fate will take any contrived excuse it can to represent any given character as a cute girl. And hasn't given two shits about mythological accuracy for a long, long time.

Far as I'm considered, an actually hideous medusa might as well not exist when she happens to have those handy mystic eyes that explain why she turns men to stone, and also why she was eligible to be summoned in the first place.
>>
>>50578145
Oh, of course. I'm just saying, that's the reason why she switched clothes, she didn't have a choice in the matter. She wasn't even wearing clothes later in life, the Throne of Heroes had to do its best to come up with an outfit for her.
>>
>>50578145
Fate does seem to want make everything a cute girl or boy.
>>
>>50578021
It's up to reasonable fanwank.
For example there's no augmentation in EP that actually makes your footsteps quieter (to use the example of stealth), but it would make perfect sense that a stealth-augmented morph would have padded soles on their feet.
And going off how easily you could add padded feet to a morph, you could say they would be included in the 'Standard' and higher levels of Stealth utility mods.
>>

Oh, anon, the Perfect Clima-Tact is old news. Nami's two upgrades past that thing, now, turns out the name was just hype. For just the Perfect Clima-Taact, you'll need Dials from Skypeia. >>
>>50578698
Really? You're this desperate?
>>
>>50578698
It's pretty cool. So most of the Straw Hats either have superhuman fighting skills, Devil Fruit powers, or both. But Franky, Usopp and Nami rely on tech. Franky is a self-made cyborg, Usopp is a general gadgeteer who post-timeskip has gotten really into biotech plant weapons, and Nami uses weather control technology since as the ship's navigator she has training in meteorology. The Clima-Tact was her first weapon, actually made for her by Usopp, but she's since made upgrades for it herself and just relies on Usopp and Franky to deal with some miniaturization issues she can't manage herself. She has a lot of cool moves she can do with it, it's a neat gadget.
>>
>>50578751
Oh, forgot to say what the Clima-Tact actually is: It's a staff. By activating the various tools inside it and swinging it around, Nami creates micro-climates that by working together can influence the weather. So she'll create bubbles of hot and cold air to alter the wind, for example, or increase humidity to make miniature thunderstorms. Stuff like that.
>>
>>50578751
It's also almost always very underpowered for the given arc, and often the previous few, since Nami usually struggles with the B list foes she has as her opponents.
>>
>>50578791
Yeah, Nami's probably the weakest member of the Staw Hats. I still think it's a cool weapon, though.
>>
>>50578751

>>

Oh it's very neat. Probably the most varied uses of anyone except maybe Usopp and he needs a lot more space for all his various ammos. It's just that it's pretty useless in a fight without her getting some sort of set up or existing environment advantage to use and even then not too impressive.

>>
>>50578825
One Piece's technology level is weird. For the most part it's the Age of Sail, as the setting would imply, but there are lots of weird natural resources in that world that have allowed them to make really advanced stuff past what we would have been capable of at that point in time. Like, there's a species of snail that is perfect at reproducing sounds it hears and has organic radio antennas that it uses to communicate those sounds to other snails. People use them as radios and phones. There's even a breed that can do it for sight, too, they use those for cameras and video screens. Given that there was some ancient super-civilization in the setting's background, I'm tempted to assume that all the super-convenient organisms are the result of ancient biotech, but it might just be part of the general weirdness of One Piece's world.
>>
>>50578696
>>50578698
>>50578704
Oh didn't notice the Gas Gas fruit. So it's Tinkering and Cyborg for the creation of the newest Perfect Clima-Tact?
Also this >>50578751 >>50578786 is a great description.

>>50578791
Well the Jump as is might be able to make it to Nami post time skip. Granted you could basically be Luffy but then you'd be out of points for your crew, so i thought that I'd just stick it out in the Grand Line or use Jumper stuff for New World. Post Time-Skip Nami is brutal on the Grand Line.

>>50578825
