This is Tizona and Colada.
They're the OG Kebab remover weaponry.
They're not magic.
Use them while being a knight of the order of santiago for extra damage vs muslims.

Sorry, but I got banned the last time I posted a picture ofmuh dick
>>50516202
I don't get why they would steal the name of a real legendary sword then make it completely different from it's original legendary abiliies. Fragarach is an Irish sword that can force people threatened to tell thee truth and controls the wind, it literally means answerer. WTF does that have to do with time travelling Deus-ex machina bullshit? If you want to make something new go ahead, but why steal an existing name?
>>50520906
You just described Fate in a nutshell.
Nasu probably felt clever when he made a sword that "answers" enemy attacks by killing them before they strike.
>>50520804
If it's from fate it's probably made of indestructible magic junk or something.
>>50516017
Does Roland actually show up in any of the Fate games?
>>50521032
Given this is the series that has a sword made of literal hopes and dreams, you're probably right
>>50521072
AFAIK, no.
The only Paladin of Charlemagne that appeared so far was Astolfo.
>>50521072
This is the most Shirou dialogue I have ever read.
Please tell me this is actually in the manga.
>>50520804
impracticality is actually fitting for that sword
It belonged to Julius Ceasar, who lost it in battle. By trying to kill the enemy prince with it. He failed by getting it stuck in the dude's shield. Without a weapon ceasar proceeded to BTFO, and the prince then went and killed everyone around him with Ceasar's sword. Ceasar eventually caught up to the prince and kille him IIRC, but it still was quite embarressing
>>50520946
I suppose the question to ask now is why people are posting fate as fantasy sword artwork when they have no relation at all with their real world inspirations. Fragarch isn't the only one, look at freaking Crocea Mors, it's supposed to be a freaking roman short sword not some christian symbolism longsword that looks like it was made to scam a rich nobleman in the 1600's. Balmung is a fucking sword that game from a norse god, so why the fuck is there a cross on it? Etc.
>>50521124
of course not. One of the former (SADLY) scanlators of the Illya manga liked to post such meme worrthy edited pages.
>>50521203

>>50520734

>>50521256

>>50521174
I don't recall the exact quote, I have been trying to refind it again, but Waver asked Rider(Alexander the Great) why he seemed very little like the historical documents about his appearance. IIRC the answer was due to how they are shaped not just in life but also in eath by their various deeds. Also in theory the Throne of Heroes transcends space and time, and catalogues details of heroes from many universes into one place.
>>50521203
I know the feel, but if it's any consolation, the offical manga was so so badass during the shirou flashback that lasted far longer then one expects a flash back to last. which is glorious

Type-moon certainly isn't popular for it's incredible writing.
You want something hot? Something REAL good for sword sluts? Open the centerfold.
>>50521983
I dare to say that things like Tsukihime and the original Fate are better than what Type-MOON ships those days.
Neither had great writting, but they were enjoyable. The ratio of fanservice-waifus to everything else was better,
>>50522081
>>50521983
I think the crazy universe and mechanics of the setting hooked a lot of us.
>>50522081

Shamshir-e-Zomorrodnegar (the Emerald Studded Sword) is a Persian sword that was supposedly once owned by King Solomon.
The wounds it causes can only be healed with a special potion. One of the key ingredients of this potion are the brains of a specific demon who himself could only be harmed by this sword. Trouble was, he was the one guarding it.
It also makes whoever wields it immune to magic, which is pretty fucking awesome.

Is that girl of the bottom a female Shirou? Did even the bloody main character turned into a waifu for even more pandereing?
>>50527398
I think it's actually a female Gilgamesh.
Shirou's still male, which is why him hijacking the magical girl spinoff to be GAR is so perfect.
>>50527398
nope she is a female Gilgamesh
I kid, I kid. She is using the Gilgamesh card. In this universe's grail war, the heroes are manifested into cards and the participants fight by installing that aspect of the hero upon their body. She is not a genderbent version of anyone, an original character for that universe.
>>50527398
>Is that girl of the bottom a female Shirou?
No, but female Shirou is still a thing.
>>50510893
Honestly, for me, when you say "legendary sword", there is one weapn that comes to mind sooner than all this Fate stuff, and even sooner than real world myth stuff like Excalibur. The Blade of Evil's Bane is basically my mind's ideal image fo a legendary sword.
>>50528110
Your Wii remote is low on batteries, anon.
>>50510893
Is it true that there're more magical swords than all other magic weapons in myths?
Also, what is you favorite legendary weapon?
>>50520906
It's "the answerer" in the sense that it responds to an opponent's ultimate attack. Fate Fragarach can only be deployed once your opponent calls on their ultimate technique or weapon. Upon doing so, Fragarach reverses causality so that it strikes the opponent through the heart before they can use their ultimate weapon.
>>50516217
>>50518528
>>50519928
Actually, Ea has been retconned into being more of a staff. Gilgamesh just calls it a sword because he's Gilgamesh.
>>50530417
For the most part, yes. Swords appeal to people because they seem like "heroic" weapons. I myself prefer spears and bows, which probably comes from my enjoyment of Hindu myths. Vijaya and Gandiva being two of my favorites.
>>50527602
I started one of the ilya series, and Gil was a badass shota trying to get his powers back (and from memory he did, out of pure anger that someone else dared to access his vault).

Almost everything on the setting is here:
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Ameth
The Ice Feather sword was developed after one anon suggested Ice Birds migrating over Ameth and another suggested that magic items are made from magic animal parts. Another Anon (or perhaps one of those two, I dunno) took the idea to a drawfag thread and made a request.
I don't even remember how long ago those threads were, only that the community created Ameth was only briefly worked on.

The name is Trap of Argalia. It's hits make people fall down. If you're looking for fiction:
Fred Saberhagen's series the Books of Swords is rightly famous. The Twelve Swords are:
Woundhealer
Shieldbreaker
Farslayer
Doomgiver
Wayfinder
Coinspinner
Stonecutter
Dragonslicer
The Mindsword
Soulcutter
Townsaver
Sightblinder
In Tolkien's mythos, you have:
Narsil / Anduril (Elendil's sword, made by Telchar, reforged for Aragorn)
Orcrist (from Gondolin, used by Thorin)
Glamdring (King Turgon's, from Gondolin, used by Gandalf)
Aranruth (King Thingol's, from Doriath, used by the Kings of Numenor)
Ringil (High King Fingolfin's, from Valinor, used in his duel with Morgoth)
Anglachel / Gurthang (Beleg's, made by Eol, from Doriath, reforged for Turin)
Anguirel (Maeglin's, made by Eol, from Doriath)
Sting (actually a long knife from Gondolin, but wielded as a sword by Bilbo and Frodo)

Honestly, it all depends on how thick the blade is at the ricasso, which you really can't tell just from looking at it in profile. If the cross section starts out as square and quickly flattens out when it gets to the blade proper, then it could be a perfectly viable design.
That being said, I doubt the artist actually took that into consideration.

Tizona and Colada were the two swords of El Cid Campeador. One of them was from a catalog noble and the other one from a Muslim king.
Interestingly enough, although they have different origins they both have the same properties: both of them made worthy knights stronger and, in the hands of a worthy Knight, terrorized those who weren't worthy.
Also, el Cid went berserk a couple of times with Tizona but this is believed to be because of the user, not the sword.
