If they had maybe 2-3 more years then maybe, but how would they be able to work without positive cash flow? Rogue trader credits? This is a case of the new way vidyas are produced (EA, Kickstarter, green light) has really failed. It would have been better to have been financed fully then make the product, test it in house, and release the game in its finally form on the release date advertised. But whatever. It's still fun in spurts, but lacks what I'd call soul. It's pretty, but the microtrannies for hats meme needs to die the cruelest death ever.

Because for the most part the Traitor Legions no longer exist, and the countless warbands they've broken into spend their time dicking around pursuing their own agendas or killing each other (or pursuing their own agendas which involve killing each other), all the while posing little large-scale threat to the Imperium they supposedly hate. Eventually he's done so much stuff, gathered so many followers, made so many pacts and alliances, that he's at last in a position to accomplish his true goal - the goal that all the traitors were supposed to have but which they're largely incapable of working towards without someone at the top bashing their heads together. The 13th Black Crusade isn't just another of Abby-boy's days out, it's supposed to be the payoff for 10,000 years of build-up.

The thing is that Abby's fluff was handled badly and/or fans did not get the ULTIMATE EVIL that Chaos was supposed to represent, which led to the Failabbadon the Armless memes. And BL current attemps to paint him as a real danger are now seen as chaoswank to the fans of the other factions, and even some chaos fans are aggreing with the latter.

If they wanted to show that he was worthy of one-up Horus, they could show his victories in the Black Crusades in a over the top manner that makes some people say "okay, that was badass".

We know he have a deamon as a sword that have the strenght to perma-kill the Emperor, why they did not support it by showing Abby tearing apart a Chaos warband that pissed him off and perma-killing whatever big-shot Deamon Prince was aiding them on his own? Normally you can't kill a deamon, just banish it, so that would explain why other deamons and chaos champions respect him.

People don't want being told that Eliphas is scared shitless of Abbadon, they want to SHOWN WHY Eliphas is scared shitless of Abbadon, and many people feel that ADB and Black Library are doing a shitty job at it.
