Tell me about your dead characters, who were they, how did they die, how did they live?

Charles died on the 2nd level of a tower filled with skeletons. Blew himself up with 10 lbs of smoke powder to save the group.
Charles is why I'm not allowed to play crafters anymore.

Fair enough
I read it as dead player. I remembered when a friend of mine committed suicide a while back and our group never started playing again. Me and him weren't super close, and he didn't tell anyone about how he was feeling except by joking about it with coworkers. I don't really blame myself, but I feel as if I should have done something.

Lamruil: hacked to death by his comrades because he cut off the beard of a dwarven lord.
Ista: ripped apart by dogs because the party tank decided that "honourable combat" with one guy from the opposing side was more important than tanking.
Aelenwen: incinerated by a ghost because the GM forgot that, in Pathfinder, you can't hurt ghosts without magic weapons, which only I had, and thus I essentially had to fight the ghost alone since I had while the rest of the party ran around like headless chickens throwing books and furniture at the ghost.
Sonja: GM was doing one of his less serious sessions in which me and the Inquisitor got transported to an alternate reality, and we encountered a motherfucking Dalek. Me, not wanting to break character, did not apply me OOC knowledge that you can't beat a Dalek to death with a +2 magic sword, and thus I died.

>Zachary Mason
Zach was a firefighter in a small town. He was a very brave young man, but was incredibly opinionated on people more successful than him. One day, he was thrust in crazy circumstances involving vampires and shadow beasts. He saved everyone else who would have died otherwise, after all his job is to save lives.
During the most prolonged supernatursl phenomenon, he got into an argument with a retired boxer, calling him out on running away and never owning to any of his mistakes. He got his ribs broken for that and the rest of the people he saved sided with the boxer. Once they arrived at the boxer's big house where his family lived, Zach took the car they were moving around and ran away in a fit of fury. He went back to his parent's house, where flamming aberations looking like them attacked him. Then he went to his house to barricade himself and the shadowdemons ate him alive.Kind of a bullshit "you get damage, no save" death, but I also split the party, so it's half deserved.

>who were they?
A naive Paladin who believed in goodness and justice
>how did they die?
Publicly executed by his own Order
>how did they live?
In truth and justice. Discovered his God was a lie, his order corrupted and His city state manipulated. Tried to show the masses the truth. Got caught, the party abandoned him. He never beg for mercy or bent his knee, and he died pure and just.

in CoC
He was literally the pure definition of a Chad.
His job was to be the guy that could use a handgun or a rifle, or force check anything(and try to open a door with his shoulder before trying the key we got earlier)
He died when he fell face to face with an invocation ritual, but not before shooting one bullet and laying a perfect crit on our intelligent guy (116 knowledge) putting him in coma.
