Why exactly do we need another hole in the ground? We aren't exactly running short on them.
>>50404325
simply because we can
>>50404325
It seems to be a cards against humanity thing, in which case it might be some kind off nihilistic black friday event.

I donated $5
Maybe they'll turn it into a mass grave, that would be kinda cool
>>50404694
Yep. They're digging a hole. More money = deeper hole. The hole serves no purpose. You get nothing from it. It's just monet to throw into a hole.
>>50404325
thats a big hole
>>50404866
Yet it's still not as much of a money waste as their previous endeavor.
>>50404181
Why would I pay for someone else's basement to get dug?

>The hole serves no purpose.
It's fighting inflation and creating jobs at the same time. That's a very important purpose.
>>50406906
It would be very expensive.

>It's fighting inflation
Most western countries, and a lot of others as well, would currently be better off with more inflation, not less. A nice little bit of inflation helps make investments a good idea, thus driving economic growth, and pushes down overall debt levels, reducing the risk of severe economic crashes.
>>50404181
I was told that Mexico would pay for the hole.
>>50409806
But house prices!
House prices drive western economies.
>>50407553

>>50409806

>>50406394
I've been to that hole. I see it every day. It ruined the scenery, but it keeps like half the valley employed so I can't complain.
