All you need to know about Iobaria is that it's a desolate land of semi-barbaric villagers who shirk in almost religious fear of the ancient ruins that dot their landscape. The Iobarian is a fiercely protective sort dedicated strongly to familial ties as, often enough, their village is mostly related to them in one way or another.

It's a land of desperation and faded glory, your woman is more than likely an immigrant trying to get the hell out of there after a disease outbreak tore through her village, getting kicked out of country after country as a potential carrier for some virulent disease until you landed in the Land of Misfits, Varisia.

Who knows? Maybe that's where you got your glaive; it was picked up in some cyclopean ruins near your village and, in doing so, unwittingly unleashed some horrors upon your kin. Your character survived because she's absurdly curvy healthy.

Exactly! The only major deities that have any association with fertility are Lamashtu (turbo evil rape monster), a Literally Who that exists only for Ragathiel, Shelyn (who's more about "yay! Babies!") and Pharasma, who's kind of just... There.

The best part is the nature of the campaign ensures she can hammer that pregnancy kink *real* well, the four year timeskip means any lover she gets in Burnt Offerings will be quite busy, and if not you can play with the whole gamut of being pregnant over the course of the year-long adventure to Minkai.

So for RotJR, I've got a few character ideas.

1st, a Varisian tribal shaman girl who pretends to be much less intelligent than she actually is, and tends to run around without a shirt on. Furious angry muscular dualwielder chick.

2nd A stoic woman who claims to be a Hellknight of the Order of the Godclaw, was actually going to be one but fled to Varisia because making a pact with a devil scared her.

3rd A drunken and kinda slutty punchgirl who spent most of her days down at a bar by the docks shagging sailors and moving cargo, who figures that helping Ameiko out might be her one chance to do something productive with her life.

(I'm leaning heavily towards option 3, now that I've typed it out...)

Shalelu's younger half-elf sibling has a reckless human mother who is a bad parent. When an extraplanar parasite embeds itself into the young child's shoulder, her mother takes her on a dangerous adventure/journey to find a cure. Cure is never found, and the child develops interpersonal interaction issues on top of looking like an eldritch horror hybrid.

Her character development would revolve around struggling against the flawed mentalities and behaviours she developed from being constantly exposed to violent situations, solutions, and oftentimes eccentric party members whom her mom associated with.

She's nervous and jittery while also eager to attempt to interact with others, as she's been deprived of most social contact since returning to Sandpoint.

I followed other people's advice about Lamastu. Though she never worshiped Lamastu and i just threw in the first monster that came to mind. Though I think her still caring about the misbegotten child despite the unwanted manner in which it came to be, further reinforces the Super Mom aspect of her character.

Can I get a ruling on Hell's Vengence?

I am considering doing a new campaign on my channel, and I want to do something really dramatic, possibly political, and I have wanted to do the oppressive, evil Devil culture thing for a while now.

I'm doing Crimson Throne and Jade Regent right now, both heavily re-written to fix them, but it works because the basics there are salvageable. If HV is shit to the core like Second Darkness, I don't wanna waste my time.

It means that combats end quickly because the characters in question have access to a lot of power. A lot more than you might expect even - most enemies won't last longer than two or three rounds at most, and sometimes even less, given they have access to Save-Or-Die effects starting at level 11 and sometimes even earlier.

Also... you really can't prevent high level spells from changing the nature of your game. You just have to ask your party not to break things.

Another fun thing is that if you actually look at his statblock, he's not actually that... dangerous?

His SLAs aren't that bad, and he himself doesn't do that much outright damage.

His most problematic things are his DC35 fear gaze and the DC30 paralyze on all his attacks. Personally anyway, he can still summon other dudes, although apparently he mostly does that to cover a retreat.

Most dangerous thing he's likely to do to you is CDG his stick through your eye socket once you're paralyzed for 2d6 minutes.

I like to think that he might be more likely to leave an entire paralyzed party where they are, letting them think about what they've done and how stupid they feel.

One thing I really like is that if you call his boat, then decide against it, he just shrugs and sods off.

Reworked Amalthea's backstory, I actually kept most of it intact though I shifted the focus from simply having kids to having a large family and having separation issues due to having been exiled from her first husband and child.

If I cast Animate Dead to raise a corpse, and the undead dies in combat, can I cast the spell again to reanimate the same corpse? Does doing so have any drawbacks other than having to cast it a second time such as the minion having less HP than before or something?
