Just arrived in pick related and MTG is like tenfold what it is in UK/France/Germany.
since I'll be fucking alone in this country, and could bring my 40k army, I figured I should start something.
I looked briefly at colors and I really like white because crusade, Jerusalem, angels and shit.
Let say I have $700 to spare, what TF do I need to buy ?

Should have found a way because that shit is worth more than pure unobtanium in NZ
Welcome to New Zealand! If it's anything like Australia, look forward to massive price gauges.
As for the game, depends on the format you want to play. Find your local store and ask them about drafts, drafting is great for new players as you don't need cards, and very popular. Then there are formats, Standard is the cheapest and simplest to get into, can cost between $50-200 (AUD) for a deck, but your investment will diminish almost entirely after two years when all your cards rotate out. Modern is more expensive ($400-1000), but you can build budget decks, and your cards will hold their value, or you could jump straight into the deep end of legacy, which has decks ranging from hundreds to thousands, though you might not have many players nearby who will play it.

Buy into legacy and commander so you don't have to buy a new deck every fucking 2 years.

Research what formats are played around you and get back to us. Everything else is pointless until we know what is actually played.

Build Modern Eldrazi and Taxes.

And if legacy is played decently often around you (twice a month, maybe once if you find your really keen) if not, look into commander, can't help you on this one other than research online, check out a site called edhrec.

WELCOME YOU FOOL.
WHERE YOU AT?

MTG has more then one flavor. Standard, Modern, EDH/Commander, and Legacy are the most popular, and usually have their own generals up on /tg/.
For new players, Standard or Modern is generally best. Budget decks can run as low as $20-$30. (I don't know how bad gouging in Kiwi-Reich is).
If you dig the whole DEUS VULT thing, White spirits from SOI/EMN are pretty good in standard, and White Knight Tribal is feasible in Modern, just don't expect to win any tournaments.

This. I'm partial to Athreos as a White Commander, especially when paired with Sacc and cards like Blood Traitor or Soul's warden. Half the game playing Athreos is juggling cards between your Hand, Field, and Graveyard in order to trigger some inane combos.
