I need some mount ideas for a friend's character. Short backstory:
He is a former paladin. committed suicide after a series of unfortunate events, brought back by the gods, and is now a greyguard (3.5 PRC converted to pathfinder archetype for paladin). He doesn't want a plain horse or whatever. He is essentially LN, dark and dreary character. He wars pathfinder's Hellknight plate. Nothing cold-blooded due to the current arc taking place in the frozen north. I've thought about wolves/worgs, griffons, etc... maybe something more exotic? Dumping pics for a few.
Trying to keep pics mount related. Will be randomness soon.
Zombie horse, moose, saiga, terror bird, bear, bull, donkey, goat.

I considered a moose/elk type for him, even if it is temporary.
He is retraining his bond from a weapon to a mount after he gets it.
Why not just ride a generic horse?
Nightmares can be pretty good mounts.
The mount will matter more the more it is reminiscent of what mattered to him in life. For example, his favorite horse, also cursed to an eternity of undeath, would be fitting. Since he's Grey, you could also make a ghost mount out of every innocent soul he has murdered or will murder, as a constant reminder that while sacrifices must be made, they must never be made lightly. You could also make a demon mount of the demon destined to torture him in hell when his work is complete, for while his work is necessary, he must have no illusions about his final reward.
