I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine katana in Bronzebasements for 2,400,000 (that's about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut slabs of solid adamantine with my katana.

Human smiths spend years working on a single katana and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind.

Katanas are thrice as sharp as Dwarven swords and thrice as hard for that matter too. Anything a short sword can cut through, a katana can cut through better. I'm pretty sure a katana could easily bisect an Axelord wearing full steel plate with a simple vertical slash.

Ever wonder why The Tongs of Foraging never bothered conquering Humans? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Humans and their katanas of destruction. Even in the battle for Tombfrothing, Dwarven soldiers targeted the men with the katanas first because their killing power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Katanas are simply the best sword that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the game. Here are the raws I propose for Katanas:

It's basically "modern army vs fantasy army", with plenty of modern military hardware on display and in action. Sounds good, right?
Except that premise is squandered very quickly on generic anime tropes, including harem crap.
Also really cringeworthy geopolitics, as Japan claims the lands beyond the other side of the Gate as its own, denies entry to all other nations, including their own allies. Then there's the reasons the other countries want to look into the Gate: China wants to send half their population through, I don't remember the US reasons and Russia is in just for the evilz. None of those nations dare force their way in because the JSDF.

Captain Salomon butted the fourth enemy soldier in the stomach and a wounded comrade then shot and killed the enemy soldier. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Captain Salomon ordered the wounded to make their way as best they could back to the regimental aid station, while he attempted to hold off the enemy until they were clear. Captain Salomon then grabbed a rifle from one of the wounded and rushed out of the tent. After four men were killed while manning a machine gun, Captain Salomon took control of it. When his body was later found, 98 dead enemy soldiers were piled in front of his position.
