Bigger shinier teeth stand for power, in a fist fight you might take a man's incisors to mock him, but a battle to the death you take his molars as your trophy.
Taking more than one trophy is frowned upon, and if you are so inclined, you would just take the whole bottom jaw.
A male with missing teeth is seen as weak/poor, and women do not find them attractive or strong enough to mate with, and would avoid them.

It also puts making the gangers your primary source of troops into a logical context, conscripting from the gangs means literally shipping your major political enemies off the fucking planet, two birds with one stone.

It also explains why they're natural guerilla fighters. The terrorist that are a threat to the rich are the ones taken off the homeworld. The wanting to prove themselves to the imperium thing mixed in with that would maybe be seen as an honor?
The rebels fight until they are taken or die.
The average poor see it as an honor to serve for the home world, maybe buying into propaganda from the rich to keep them in line?
Knowing they may never return they seek to show everyone their world is one to be respected.

There's also the old standby of settlement rights. Successful regiments get their own worlds their own settlements and their own wives with all their teeth. It's a good deal, compared to summary execution

They could have a large number of heavy grenade launchers or rocket launchers per squad. Maybe a unique grouping of light and heavy mortars as a mobile battery, infantry suppressing the enemy while light mortars blast them away. Heavy mortars are there for hardened targets and vehicles. They grind forward, leap frogging the mortars until they hit a deadlock.

They're not traditional siege infantry, but a kind of rapid probing force. They poke at the enemy in a hundred places, hitting hard and then running while leaving traps in their wake to further punish their foes. Booby trapped weapons and corpses, mine fields, suicide captives, poison and fire.

The SoB originally were a cult that called themselves the Daughters of the Emperor, but during the Age of Apostasy they became the Brides of the Emperor. This was around m36. If Irun'q (or whatever this planet is called) was founded by Vandire sympathizers during the conflicts of that era, they could have had contact with Brides.

If the minor colony fell to a feral mess following the war finding its way to a small planet, it could explain the weirdness of Big E having wives. It might also make their practice of keeping multiple wives a holy duty.

Any gold fillings they collect are melted down. Some of this is used for medals, ornamenting weapons and banners, grills for officers and veterans, normal stuff. The lion's share goes to making a shrine, a golden throne with an Imperial eagle perched atop a sunburst that doubles as the seat back. This ornately designed, intricately worked piece of Imperial art is a token of the Fang's genuine love of the Emprah. One day they'll get the chance to give the Emprah their gift in person... or at least that's what the Fangs think. Until that day comes, they'll keep making additions and improvements.

That doesn't seem bad at all, though we seem to be leaning a bit to the IRA along with ISIS. The Fangs are tangled up with a Rogue Trader dynasty, so Mr. of Arabia could've been the first RT to come across their homeworld and give them them the assistance they needed to start urbanizing. Later on maybe some of the tribes got pissed that once they became developed enough they had to start sending a tithe, leading to a rebellion that was crushed not long ago. Now the Fangs prove the loyalty of their homeworld by dis-jawing all who cross them, especially the toothy things

I was informed by a X that you have some doubts about the world the two of you discussed. You know the one. As I owe our mutual acquaintance a favor, I went to personally examine the world for anything that would be of concern. While some of the more extreme elements of the ministorum find the...particular portrayal of the Emperor the natives practice to be heretical, I can't see it as anything besides harmless. There was little to suggests Chaotic influence, and I could find no evidence of anyone manipulating the warp in any capacity. I must admit, when I was greeted by a man wearing an ork's jawbone around his neck I thought I may have stumbled across an obscure khornate cult, but it seems they use those trophies as status symbols. In fact, the way they worship the emperor and his brides...possible connection to the Sororitas' predecessors? Vanders, make a note of that - oh, apologies, I'm still recording...where was I...oh, yes, the Emperor. They all aspire to serve the Gold-Toothed Emperor in their own way, and they even have a sect within the local cult for women who take vows of chastity in order to preserve themselves as brides for the emperor. Trying to change this...quirk of their culture too fast may test their devotion to the Emperor, and it's better to very, very gently change the culture over time than to do something that may create the rebellion we're trying to prevent. Of course, as you may have guessed my expertise lies in hunting Chaos, so you may want to ask for another opinion on whether or not some form of xenos influence has made its way here. If you have any further questions, I would be happy to answer them, and I am sending a copy of my observations with this message.
