100 cp - Actual Combat Skills
You need these, right? I mean, you might be able to get away with just having amazingly high stats and just whacking away, but surely having actual combat skills will be useful? Well, pick a weapon. Sword, trident, whip, staff, pretty much anything. You’ve now got some basic combat training with that weapon. Good luck.

200 cp - Union Assault
You know what the best kind of attacks are? Combo attacks. If you’ve got the MP to spare, then you can use a special technique known as a Union with one of your party members, and launch a supermove at your opponent. This is one per person though, so If you combo with the same person five times, you’ll get the same move five times. For example, Cthulhu and a mermaid summoning the Kraken.

400 cp - Victory Fanfare
Whenever you complete a successful battle, you will find small amounts of your health and magical energy restored to you. This is a wee bit subjective, due to running on JRPG logic, but about five minutes after combat stops you will get the boost. This also works on party members - a maximum of three other people - and can and will raise them from the dead in the process. It will probably leave them bleeding out and in critical condition though, so get a potion or a white mage quick.

600 cp - Save Point
Sadly, this isn’t a literal save point. That would be a tiny bit overpowered for 600 cp. Instead, you can create a grand total of ten glowing rings of blue light, and place them wherever you want. Stepping inside this ring will instantly bring you up to one hundred percent of your natural power, healing wounds and restoring mana. Sadly, you can only use each save point once. On the flip side, your companions can also use it - once - and your enemies can’t use it at all. Pretty nifty, right?

The 200 and the 400 aren't new, but the 100 and the 600 are.

So, uh, I didn't get nearly as far as I hoped. Things came up, and then I had to reevaluate what I was doing.

The item section didn't get done, but everthing is lined out. And it has since been filled in enough that I feel like I can put these in a WIP. As a bonus on that, I included a few more perks? (Which I was actually planning to save until the full release before, but whatever)

Non-entry fluff's still coming at some later point, and drawbacks are kind of a half-finished mess that really need the rest finished before I continue with them.

So I have a thought exercise for anyone who likes the Wormverse. That is, the characters, not Scion and the Endbringers.

I have a jumper Drop-In who needs neither food nor sleep who spends most of January staring out at the ocean and looking like a strangely unblemished hobo. I also took the Personal Problems drawback.

Name me a few people who could bump into him and (accidentally) get him roped into things. He's neutral-to-good aligned but isn't much of a superhero without something to motivate him, figuring most worlds get by fine on their own.

Hard Mode: Running into and defeating Lung early is not an option, nor anything involving the ABB in any capacity.

Inadvertetly, yes. You see when I went to Bubblegum crisis and started becoming the mega-corporate mogul you know today, I was always in a power struggle with the Ultron Wannabe Largos, I made a habit of trolling him and eventually he came to suspect my origins. Nothing would of come from this however had not the Dark Powers in Ravenloft decided to make him a Dark Lord. His torment being with limited resources and unable to make his dreams of a Boomer dominated world come true. However he did have some resources, and suspecting I was able to get out of that place made microbots to contain a copy of his memories and attached itself to either me or my companions and hide in the warehouse.

The next jump was MCU, he escapes my warehouse with some stolen assimilated tech, and eventually steals Tony's Ultron program for himself. Effectively replacing Ultron.

The worst part was Tony Stark's rant as he proclaimed he would never make a mistake like that himself and how I ruined his Ultron program.

I tend to write summations of the decade or however long it takes by and large, usually for settings I don't know or care enough about to research. Otherwise I tend to zoom in on things I think are cool or would be fun to do and focus writing about that. My chains tend to fall flat in character interaction because I can't write other characters for shit, much less canon ones with set personalities. Attempts sort of just become stale and repetitive. I treat the jump like a really long vacation away from home, sometimes with travel troubles cropping up.

Well, the first few years were peaceful enough. Me, Caim, and Chara went out and burned off our excess aggression attacking bandit camps that were terrorizing innocent villages and bands of Balverines that attacked the villages we were staying in. We sent samples to the Dahak whenever we were finished for later study, and continued on our way. The others were either hunting down animals and taking bits and pieces back to the Dahak as well, or were buttering up important people around the kingdom

Soon though, things took a turn for the worse. Balverines began assembling into hordes and ravaged the countryside. They bit and turned entire villages into more of them. Seeing this growing annoyance, I requested the AI for the Dahak deliver a couple million terminators to the surface, along with enough equipment to arm them all to the teeth. I set them to exterminated mode, and watched as the global population of Balverines soon began to drop entire percentages.

With that situation handled, I had turned my attentions back to the study of the Balverines. This study upon their capabilities continued until the 10 year, when the White Balverine appeared. I had received word of something immune to normal weapons busting through the lines like the cool-aid man. Seeing that the termies wouldn't be able to handle this by themselves, I decided to go down with Caim and Chara to take care of the situation.

The White Balverine was a tough foe alright. One of the toughest I'd ever faced. In the end though, he had all of my powers at only 1/2 their full power, while I had all my powers, plus more from this jump, along with two of my strongest companions backing me up. Caim and Chara pinned him in place, while I chopped off his head with the Daichi and the Hero Weapon. I had Caim drag its body to the to the nearest major town, while I and the others went back to our homebase, an abandoned castle that we had renovated.

A few short months before we left, the plans I and the others had been enacting came to fruition. The people, seeing all these great deeds done by their hero, and already friendly with all the PR work we'd done, had decided to elect their hero to the position of King of Albion. Soon, Caim had been granted control of the kingdom. Lluckily, we left before he could do anything really terrible to the place.

By Exalted standard it'd be 2 dots, which would be a pretty big increase.

For comparison, someone with 1 dot in strength is literally handicapped and has about the strength of a toddler. Someone with 3 dots is exceptionally healthy and strong.


And yes, the Fire Queen can actually go rogue and wander off. Hellstrider have a Limit mechanic similar to the Exalts themselves, when that fills up they break loose from the bindings on them, and do her own thing.

If she has too much Limit while not piloted (7 out of 10) AND is given an opportunity to do her thing (rebuilding her empire), she'll sometimes be able to awaken and go off too, but then you can just command her to stop and she'll immediately obey.

Notably, she's more agreeable than most Hellstriders, who tend to go on rampages when limit breaking... She basically won't really Limit Break (too undignified), and just bleed it off over time. But she can still get roused and do stuff if given the opportunity.

So yeah, leave her untended, and she might try to go out and set herself up as God-Queen somewhere.

Here's my current build, which will probably undergo some revision. I will probably take the Drawback that sends you up against an Yggdrasil Guild. I was planning on completing the Hero out of Myth and Legend Scenario by befriending my obscenely powerful foes through performance in very public, densely populated areas. The Drawback doesn't say that you HAVE to kill them, and the wording implies that their is no Fiat stopping the Drawback from being solved in your time there.

I fanwanked that when I received my CP at the end of the Jump, I could spend it on a new race and gain that races discounts and such, while retaining any Perks (but not discounts) gained from my original race.

You get $1000 dollars a day, and every day you get to buy things from a different shop. Most of these shops have ways to get a bit more money; maybe you have to wash dishes at this one, or wear an embarrassing mascot costume at that one.

All of the things in each shop are priced on the assumption that you only have $1000-$1600/1800 to spend.

I'm not Mardukth, but given that it's a canon item I can answer this: It can do all those things. It's a pretty good item. The buff it gives to your shadow constructs isn't too huge, and they're not the most durable thing (though you can regenerate them to full health with a miscellaneous action, so they've got staying power), but your proposed actions are kosher.

Okay, so Exalted has these Escaflowne-inspired magitech mecha called Warstriders. Pretty neat stuff, they're treated as armor by the game so you can apply your charms on a larger scale using them. It can be pretty fun. Hellstriders are the Infernal version of Warstriders, and take more inspiration from Evangelion. A Hellstrider is made out of at least five demons (you can keep adding them on for power boosts, but it makes them less stable) whose flesh has been fused together and grown to enormous size through alchemical processes. A First Circle Hellstrider is made of five First Circle Demons, a Second Circle made of a Second Circle and four First Circles (with bonuses if said demons are descended from it) and the extremely rare Third Circle Hellstriders are made from a Third Circle Demon and at least four of its seven component Second Circle souls. They're very powerful, but potential unstable, and Limit is as much a metaphysical response to their bound nature as it is just a measure of their suffering. There are ways to relieve it, but just diplomacy perks wouldn't be enough. Let me get out Infernals, I'll see what the rules for managing Limit are.

Okay, looked it up. Hellstriders, like bound demons, comply to the "Abscissic" mechanics. When making one, you pick one of ten templates, though limited by the fact that the central demon of the Hellstrider has to have the template's primary Virtue at a minimum of three dots. Then whenever they act against the type of behavior dictated by the template, they gain Limit, and a sorcerer can lower its Limit by involving the demon (the text implies that there has to be active participation on their part) in activities that reinforce that role. So a demon bound by the Courtesan template would gain Limit when it feels like it's not needed or appreciated, but lose it if its master makes involves it in their scheming or gives it gifts of affection. Or a Hunter would gain Limit when idle and not working, but lose it if given an interesting task to devote its attention to.

Yeah, it's literal. Demons in Exalted, like most spirits, have only a single existence. Their flesh and soul are basically the same thing. They're not materialized souls, though, they have matter that they're made of. Said matter is just a different sort from what the normal universe is made of, that allows it to be simultaneously physical and spiritual. That's why demons make such great ingredients for crafting magic items. You can literally render one of them down using vitriol and extract all sorts of useful soul-organs to embed into your arcanomatrices.

No, it doesn't. Canonically, each Vial can produce multiple different effects, as can be seen from the fact that the Siberian and Genesis both took the same formula. Granted, they were related powers, both of them had strong projection-based Master abilities, but there's room for variation. That said, it's meaningless if he's taking the item you can buy with CP. Post-jump, those just give people random superpowers, unrelated to which shards the vial is drawing on.

Not canonically. You can, however, unleash the Hellstrider on purpose, let it make its own decisions instead of needing to be piloted. If you do that when it's not in Limit Break, it will even be sane and lucid. Shame about the other four demons that went into it, though, it's just the core demon that gets to control the amalgalm. That said, if you were making your own Hellstrider you might be able to build it into them in the process. Hellstriders get access to a limited subset of the charms of the demons that went into making them, chosen at creation, and there is a spirit charm that lets demons project avatar bodies. You might even be able to preserve the minds of the subsidiary souls, allowing them all to make avatars
