When I was younger I was a huge fan of the Fighting Fantasy gamebooks, loved them, great classic fantasy feel to them, I have the World of Titan book that just talks about various aspects of the setting. I remember getting my first one, Citadel of Chaos, way back in Primary School (equivalent of US elementary school I think) at a book fair thing and people who saw me reading didn't understand what it was, kept asking why I was flipping around the book.
FYI all the Lone Wolf books are free and legally available at https://www.projectaon.org/ thanks to based Joe Dever

Lone wolf was ok but this was my first serious game book (Well I read the choose your own adventure and the time travel books, but those had no dice rolls or spells or inventory)
