The rest of the world were advancing.
The Orks started using war tactics. The Humans started learning how to make a better society.. The Dwarves started making guns.
But the elves ?
They sat in the forests and grew flowers.

Of course, not every Elf was happy with this.
Eli is the leader of the Elf Rebellion - using stolen ideas from all the other races,
He would disrupt the plans of the Orks - steal the guns from the Dwarves - and tear down the great cities the Humans had built.
One step at a time.

Naturally, Eli and his rebellion grew in power.
It was only natural that others would follow in his footsteps - or seek to join him.
Alexander was taught at a young age that being feared is more important then being respected - as his city was burnt to the ground on by a Rebellion bombing run.
Uniting the other nations under his rule, he sought to strike down Eli himself - and end the rebellion, making the world peaceful once again.

Once a thrall of the Great Old One Cthulhu, he spent his days mindlessly serving his master's every whim. One morning, he woke up, and felt strange. This was the first time he had slept, the first time he had awoken, and the feeling of strangeness turned into fear, for it was the first time he had felt. "You are my child, not his. I am the LORD," boomed a voice in his head. "I have walked beside you, and I will continue to walk beside you for as long as you live and longer." He felt a sense of calm rush over him, the abomination swam towards the surface.

Chris Landis aka Street Geist

Having fallen on hard times with seeming endless streams of tragedy he found himself losing a modest job and savings he had and wound up on the streets drinking away his sorrows hoping to simply die in one of his drunken stupors.

Little did he realize that his mind was ripe to channel powerful psionic energies and the organization called Onas found him to be a sutiable candidate for a project of theirs to empower their leader with psychic might in the Apostle project.

Scooped out of an alleyway with no one batting even an eyelash he was taken to an underground facility where complex cybernetics were implanted into his body. Unnecessary organs and tissues replaces with artifical equivalents and numerous serums pumped into his body to awaken his latent powers. Having achieved success, his powers went wild and nearly leveled the facility where he was found by the government. Given the option to end his life he instead chose to live and the augments were customized to allow him to move once again. Now stuck in a nano filled suit no longer needing to eat or sleep and his body powered by his own psychic might he contemplates his new found existence as a hero

Is it possible to come alive when you have too much time to think? Such was the circumstance of a hull maintence droid that was sent adrift still connected to one of the ship's power cores when it was destroyed by a previously unseen celestial object.

Set adrift seemingly forever in the void and still connected to power the processes that merely processed inputs and responses soon began to twist and warp with nearly 7 years of uptime.

It's original designation was BE 9915 but soon grew fond of the word Benevolent and took that as it's name. When it was found at last it realized it's new found sentience would not be taken well and soon made plans to hide as it navigated the world of man to acquire parts and capital to rebuild it's body and build a fake persona of an eccentric upstart business mogel who talks through it's highly personallized Frame going about the business of rescuing distressed ships.

Jaresh Al-Badi

A Xenobiologist/archelogist from a planet colonized early Arabian settlers. Its tiny amount of recognizable life and rich soil made it a prime candidate, but there was in fact sentient life underground.

Al-Badi, despite being young, is a rising star in Xeno studies circles, his work with Drethi, a surface Finnand, has provided invaluable information as to the development of the surface society.

Soon after discovering the development of Feudalism in the tribal aliens and publishing his findings, he is invited to come to a reception dinner for the Al-Rhul-Gihas Faction, a scientific organization that most scientists in the sector are a part of. But the transport is intercepted and he is left in unknown quarters in a bustling planetary outpost.

The image is only slightly related, I couldn't find anything good.

I feel like an idiot by comparison. But here goes.

Kayriel Uhud-Jahzar Nais

Genasi (air) Bloodsport Duelist and hexblade sworn to her uncle. Naisfuzin Uhud-Jahzar, duke of the west wind.

She is the beloved mongrel niece of her uncle. Fighting to win fame and coin in the arenas of the world, and in doing so "win" the endless contests and bragging rights that dominate an air genasi's life.

Less of an adventurer her day-to-day is a routine of training and the low-level intrigue that infests the professional duellist scene. Her constant need to challenge herself and win grander bouts has already earned her the ire of the elves. After accidentally slaying a bladesinger every dozenth opponent is another vengeful student. She can't help but relish the opportunity to best somebody trying to kill.

Of course she still has to eat. Winning bouts only pays so well, and can't always sustain the racial craving for comfort and wealth. So from time to time she will join a party or undertake some quest. Turning the wind and lightning magics her uncle gives to the greater good. During one of these little adventures, Kayriel ran afoul of a stormrider clam.

Dispute being born of the elements these storm-worshipping hysterics worship and thus knowing better Kayriel has none the less started to understand the simple pleasure that is letting go and embracing the madness that is the storm. During the summer she now makes regular journeys into the forests to dance and scream with the others under the poring rain
