This thread is meant to inspire Lovecraftian /tg/ (like Delta Green and CoC) and discuss Lovecraft's works for inspiration along with anything else that fits into
this genre or takes place in the Yog-Sothothery.

What was the most memorable moment in your games, doesn't matter as a Keeper or a player?
bump

Do you prefer it when your players are the "destroy the mythos at any cost" type, the "hungers for forbidden knowledge" type, or the "just a regular guy trying to get by" type?

Regular guy, it feels good man when the dark eldritch beings kick in after doing some mundane stuff

I find all three of them can work well in their own way
>first one gets dragged deeper and deeper into the weirdness and moves further from all his fellow humans in doing so. He seeks greater secrets and power in order to fight the inhuman. Eventually he ceases to be a person, he is simply another monstrosity, just one trying to kill all the others.
>second one is constantly learning, but each new revelation he has only furthers his belief in the smallness and weakness of humanity. He sees how cold and dark the universe really is and keeps searching on, gaining more knowledge, forever seeking some glimmer of good, of light.
>the third one has a life, a family, friends, coworkers. But none of them have seen what he's seen, and he can't talk to them about it because he cares to much to drag them into it, so he keeps going, he keeps up the lie that everything's fine, all the while knowing that everyone around him is oblivious to the sword hanging over their heads, and there's not a thing he can do about it

when the first post of a general is a 'bump', you can assume it doesn't need to be a general.
Anyone here going to submit to the Shotgun Scenarios this year?
What would a cult of Ithaqua be like? What would be their goals and modus operandi?

The first.
Although I prefer my games to have a little spark of hope which can be reached if you try really hard. I even portray my Delta Green as actually succeeding in keeping the humanity alive, even though by a very small margin. And some agents even use supernatural stuff that is (apparently) relatively harmless in the long run, such as charms that make hiding from Hounds of Tindalos possible, rods that shiver in the presence of ghosts, and so on.
Any ideas for a campaign set in japan? My players are weebs and want to play as yakuza members. Was thinking of doing something with yokai but I don't know too much about that.

The motherfucking Kami. And Oni. Stick with the classic stuff.
