Pic related, just set up 4 hours early at the players' house so I don't risk starting late for a change.

Our metropolis, Lazenghal. Xs mark where explosions have gone off from a terrorist threat they've largely ignored for other, greater risks. Explosions in a district make their relevant supplies more expensive and eventually unobtainable here.

Listening to classical music with one of my players from the kitchen while I fine-tune random encounter tables. My girlfriend will bring over food in a bit (it's an intentional community, we live in the same building divided by a doorless wall, but it's not an apartment. Not sure what that's called. An adjoinment?) Gonna disappear to practice different voices and mannerisms for characters an hour before showtime (relax, it's relatively subdued).

Man, I haven't had a table that big for RP in some time, You lucky bastard.
Also, I've been internally debating the merits of pre-drawn graph paper maps as opposed to dry/wet erase for a while now. What's your opinion? Is there anything special you do for fog-of-war?

since I'm living at uni, most prep is prewriting and planning, which is drawn onto a grid map with wet erase markers when everyone shows up at the recreational center.

You made me want to set up for picture-taking purposes.Obviously this is not set up for an actual session, and is just me displaying a halfway-ready campaign.
Still need painting-day, and to finish some writing. The rock is an unpolished heliotrope (get it? Map of bloodstone lands. 5lbs bloodstone slab). Then I guess I need to find a local group in this city I moved to not long ago. But I just got around to buying a car, last week, so meeting the humans can take a number.
