/tg/ I'm going out east to Montreal for way too goddamn long for my family. What is the most /tg/ approved store that I can play tabletop games in there? I'm not overly familiar with that part of the country so I don't even know if it's more of an independent club kinda community. I figure I only have the space to bring army's worth of models so I would deeply appreciate some info on what the area's beloved games are like. Don't worry I know enough French to not be crucified.

Since nobody will probably be able to answer my question, also feel free to post about your experiences in an LGS. Do you like your LGS? What do you want from one? etc.

THAT'S NOT THE IMAGE I SELECTED AT ALL FUCK

It is acceptable.

I don't know MTL's gaming scene. I've seen some shops that sell nerd-lite stuff like Magic, munchkin, CaH, and Catan, but I wasn't able to track down a genuine RPGs and Wargames LGS.
>>
General LGS thread time.

I just moved to Seattle suggestions for local game stores? I play magic and LFG

Montreal guy here, your best bet is probably (and yo ushould google their respective websties):
- Faceaface (somewhere near de l'eglise Metro)
- Chez Geek (St-Denis)
- Valet de coeur (St-Denis)
- Carta Magicka (St-Hubert)

Some I'm more of a card game player, I can't help you that much for the prices, hours, etc.

Might be relocating to Seattle for work, also interested in this. I mostly play RPGs though, D&d 5e, Pathfinder, and Shadowrun SR4 are what I've run so far.

>Some I'm more
I'm more*. Not sure what happened there. If you have other questions, ask away I'll try to answer.
>>
>>50177144
bump for answers.
>>
Well, as long as we're asking, and since OP got an answer relatively quickly: anyone know where I can find a group in Jacksonville? Moved here for work and have no friends. Would love to find a general gaming group, for RPGs, miniatures or board games. Preferably all three.

Good thinking. I've been in LA for 10 months and all I can find is piddly normie shit, and a GW which, is actually very nice BUT IT'S STILL FUCKING GW.

Anyone know any place good near Hollywood that isn't Burbank?
>>
I have two local game shops
One is almost entirely comics, pop culture memorabilia and yugioh. A few Warhammer models and a rack of paints

The other is yugioh and magic with a couple board games, comics, some dice some 40k models

I don't even bother going in. Seems cool if you're into magic or yugioh though. Lots of fnm at the second store

I'm essentially getting dragged to salt lake city, am I screwed or is there a decent community there? Also are there any good lgs to keep an eye out for?

Hey I'm this guy >>50175595
So I moved to Seattle a month a go and I have been playing board games and drafting at Blue Highway. Seems like a nice place so far, what part of Seattle you moving too?

My gf and I are looking to try shadowrun if you make up this way
>>
>>50179561
Dude. Aero hobbies in Santa Monica. Was my home store for a good decade.
>>
>>50179485
Which Jacksonville? Florida? There's like 20 cities named Jacksonville.
>>
>>50179612
Yeah: the Florida one. It's a big-sized city, so I figure there's an off-chance someone knows it well.
>>
>>50179632
My buddy lived there for a few years, he said there should be a fair number of shops.
Have you tried cool stuff games or Jacksonville game center?
