Uruks are how Orcs in generic fantasy should be like - pissed off yet still pretty disciplined. What spawned this ''Orc = fucking retard'' cliche? Warhammer?
As a side note I really like how their equipment looks like it's brutish yet still practical their helmets are simmilar to sallets and their swords are basically machetes with a spike for armor piercing on the other end which makes for a versatile weapon. The fact that they use pikes and crossbows instead of bum rushing everything like retards is nice too. Such a cool fucking villain race.
Tolkien's own goblins. Which are orks by another name.

Orcs can be incredibly cruel and violent, which is usually associated with idiocy.

Nah, you want hobgoblins. Bugbears are too disorganized and too slow to replace themselves to have any great love for mass combat.

Yeah but Hobgoblins are ussually less connected like Uruks and more with just green Mongolians.

>just green Mongolians.
I have never heard of hobs referred to as green Mongolians that is much more a centaur thing.

Sauron forces had both cannon fodder goblins, like snagas, and veteran/elite troops like uruks.
But writers afterwards copied it badly.
Orsimer are an example of uruk-style, great forgers and prime material for imperial legions.
Great troops in the Third Age Total War mod.

I also saw them as not!romans focused on the razing of gauls villages and the like.

It happens on Warhammer Fantasy.

Exactly.
