Then he went home, taught a bunch of guys how to sword fight good, and gave birth to European swordsmanship as we understand it today.

Beat me to it.

Do single-act guys count, or is an entire career of badassery needed?

Pic related, Lachhiman Gurung, VC, Gurkha:

Rifleman Lachhiman Gurung was manning the most forward post of his platoon which bore the brunt of an attack by at least 200 of the Japanese enemy. Twice he hurled back grenades which had fallen on his trench, but the third exploded in his right hand, blowing off his fingers, shattering his arm and severely wounding him in the face, body and right leg. His two comrades were also badly wounded but the rifleman, now alone and disregarding his wounds, loaded and fired his rifle with his left hand for four hours, calmly waiting for each attack which he met with fire at point blank range.
Of the 87 enemy dead counted in the immediate vicinity of the Company locality, 31 lay in front of his section, the key to the whole position. Had the enemy succeeded in over-running and occupying Lachhiman Gurung's trench, the whole of the reverse slope position would have been completely dominated and turned. Although surrounded and cut off for three days and two nights, the unit held and smashed every attack.

Julie d'Aubigny, real life bard.
>In Villeperdue, still wearing men's clothing, she was insulted by a young nobleman. They fought a duel and she drove her blade through his shoulder. The next day, she asked about his health and found out he was Louis-Joseph d'Albert Luynes, son of the Duke of Luynes. Later, one of his companions came to offer d'Albert's apologies. She went to his room and subsequently they became lovers and, later, lifelong friends.
Jim Steranko, rogue and comicbook artist.
>Eventually they caught me and I had to give up my guns. I had many guns. A complete arsenal. My two pearl-handled .38s, 30 pistols, and countless rifles, we had .45s and a submachine gun that shot nine millimeter parabellum shells. I carried that gun home, walking along the streets of Reading with it over my shoulders, across my back, like you carry a baseball bat when you're a kid. And nobody noticed me, I guess, 'cause they didn't stop me. I was only in jail until my trial, about a month, and they had me in solitary with a 24-hour guard because of my history as an escape artist. They knew all it would take me was three minutes and I'd be out. I was placed on probation--I was still a juvenile delinquent at the time. But I had to pay back what I had stolen, make restitution for whatever stuff I had done. It took me a couple of years to do that.

I should have posted an example:

>he noticed the location where airlines and car rental businesses, such as United Airlines and Hertz, would drop off their daily collections of money in a zip up bag and then deposit them into a drop box on the airport premises.
>Using a security guard disguise he bought at a local costume shop, he put a sign over the box saying "Out of Service, Place deposits with security guard on duty" and collected money in that manner.
>Later he disclosed how he could not believe this idea had actually worked, stating with some astonishment: "How can a drop box be out of service?"

A slight difficulty was that he did not understand the pre-decimal system of currency used in Britain, expressed in pounds, shillings and pence, and was unable to total his expenses. Instead, he simply itemised them, and said that he would send the total later."
>creates a network of spies that work for him and all report back to the nazis, the british find out and shit their pants, start a full on spy hunt
>his spy network doesn't actually exist, he made it up to seem more credible to the nazis

jesus, I just read her wikipedia page. She wasn't just a real life bard, she may be the ur-bard imprinted onto our racial memory that gave rise to all subsequent bard-stereotypes that we know today.

>Eventually, she grew bored of Sérannes and became involved with a young woman. When the girl's parents put her away in the Visitandines convent in Avignon, Maupin followed, entering the convent as a postulant.

>In order to run away with her new love, she stole the body of a dead nun, placed it in the bed of her lover, and set the room on fire to cover their escape.[3] Their affair lasted for three months before the young lady returned to her family. Maupin was charged in absentia—as a male—with kidnapping, body snatching, arson, and failing to appear before the tribunal. The sentence was death by fire.

Pier. Gerlofs. Motherfucking Donia.

>Got married and had two kids
>Family's village is caught in the crosshairs of a civil war in the Netherlands
>The Habsburgs hire a landsknecht band called the Black Band, who were notoriously violent, to go crush the rebellion
>The Black Band attacks his village, rapes and murders his wife, burn down the village church, and burns down his home
>Pier sweats revenge, leads a guerrilla war campaign against the Habsburgs in retaliation
>Is believed to have been 7 feet tall, and was allegedly so strong he could behead multiple people with one swing of his greatsword. Said greatsword is now in a museum, measuring 7 feet long and weighing 14 pounds.
>Fought with much success both at land and sea (yeah, he was a pirate too), even capturing an entire war fleet that was sent to deal with him.
>Unfortunately, the Habsburgs were simply too rich and too powerful, and won the war. He ended up retiring in 1519, disillusioned with the world. He died peacefully in bed about a year later.

Saint Olga of Kiev.
She probably had maxed out bluff and charisma, and fudged all of her rolls, then argued with the DM that she was still Neutral Good because drevlian babies are born CE.
>Be the wife of Kiev's ruler, Igor, her NPC husbando.
>NPC husbando gets killed by drevlians.
>DM has no idea he unleashed That Girl.
>"Well, now, they seem to want you to marry their prince."
>"OK, I have my men seize them and bury them alive."
>"Don't you want to be a bit more stealthy about the revenge plot?"
>She doesn't. Until she does. "Wait, I send a letter to the prince. I tell him I accept. I tell him to send me the best men he has to escort me."
>"... do you really think he'll fall for it NOW?"
>"But I rolled a 20!"
>GM sighs and rolls with it. After all, she seems to be willing to try out the political plot now.
>Nope, as soon as the NPCs are here "Well now that they are all in the same building, I tell my men to set them on fire."
>"You know this'll mean war, right?"
>"I'll bluff my way out of it."
>OK. Yeah the GM was a complete pushover.
>"Well now I invite the remaining drevlians to my husband's funeral feast!"
>"... you're aware drevlians do not have a negative bonus to wisdom and/or intelligence, right? They're statted as normal humans. There's no way they-"
>"I ROLLED A 20 YOU GOTTA LET ME DO IT."
>Drevlians get here. And, of course, she decides her men have to kill them all.
>This should have been an open war from the start, but nooo, That Girl insists her bluff checks are good enough, and That GM doesn't know how to react to anything. Still trying to fit his political marriage plot somewhere when it's clear there's no way she'll do anything even vaguely related to negociations.
>Well NOW that there are far less drevlians, she decides she'll go to war.
>Of course the drevlians beg for their lives.
>She accepts.
>>

>By sending a flock of pigeons in the city.
>I wish I was kidding.
>She has her men send pigeons with sulfur attached to their legs, so they can set fire to the roofs when they perch there.
>Wat. Somehow the GM is okay with this.
>All burn. Survivors are slaughtered. Olga insists she's not chaotic evil. Loudly. She can't be chaotic evil, you see. She wants Saint as her prestige class, and Saints can't be chaotic evil.
>GM fucking drops it. I swear he was in love with the fucking mary sue murderhighborn's player. There was nothing she couldn't do in game.

While he's not really PC quality I always consider Jezza the perfect example of CHA not giving a shit about looks - I mean, even if you ignore having christmas parties with senior people in Murdoch's media empire and the leader of the opposition/PM, when he punched one of the Top Gear producers over something fairly trivial (a lack of steak, or any hot food as the hotel chef had gone home) a moderately sized portion of the general public were calling for the sacking of the man he punched, who then got sent death threats.

>got little notice, but believed himself personally responsible for Garfield's victory and bothered the President and his cabinet to try and get an ambassadorship in Vienna and later Paris
>after he was told never to return, decided to shoot Garfield
>had to borrow fifteen dollars to buy the gun, bought one with ivory handles so it would look good in a museum (it has since been lost)
>got knocked over when he practiced shooting it
>postponed the assassination as to not upset Garfield's sick wife
>before the actual assassination, got his shoes shined and booked a cab to take himself to jail
>pleaded not guilty in court
>insulted the judge and his legal team, formatted his testimony in epic poems, asked random spectators for legal advice using notes
>ended a dictated autobiography by asking for a nice Christian woman under 30
>was completely oblivious to the public's hatred of him even after two assassination attempts, would always smile and wave to spectators, loved the attention
>was found guilty and sentenced to hang

Especialy for the ultra-rich.
But it fits some memes to perfectly (SJW delusions, African impregnation) to be true.
Entertaining, though

SOme elements also make it sound like something a mythomaniac would forge (the fatsuit, for example)

I did think the first one sounded like something I'd write whilst on a fetish kick.

But then again...

>it's not democracy when I lose

I love the fact that America was never even supposed to be true democracy and this is the entire point of Republic, to establish a balance where you can't just win by appealing to the masses, but the elite in the cities can't opress 99% of the country's landmass. The system was rigged in Hillary's favor, in the favor of the elites living in highly populated areas, even before the rigging of her of her own came into play.

And she still lost.

She lost to fucking Donald Trump.

Can you imagine somebody getting blown the fuck out for life this hard?

damn, came here to post this, if you had a campaign set in the revolutionary war Hamilton would be your standard "tragic backstory but rolled high in intelligence" PC

>have a pussywhipped husband
>he becomes a president
>ends up having a sex scandal
>fast forward decade and a half
>try to become a president yourself
>your opponent ends up being a walking joke with no brain-to-mouth filter
>manage to fucking lose against him

This year has been a one wild ride and the next one is probably gonna be more of the same.

Ooooooh yeah. This was a guy I'm friends with, for the sake of the storytime I'm going to call him Ben. This guy has lived a hilarious life, but I'm gonna tell my favorite story I heard from him.

>Ben works at a bank
>Recession comes up
>His boss comes to him an says on the down low that he wants Ben to start tracking his (the boss's) coworkers' numbers for him, so he can have better numbers. He does this cause it looks like lay-offs are on the horizon.
>Ben thinks about it for a day, calls his boss in and says he'll do it
>Bank has a network file with a bunch of spreadsheets from everyone's work on it. Ben says he'll track the numbers there, on a file titled STSS for Super Top Secret Shit.
>Ben is worried about putting it there, but as Ben explains to him, no one pays attention to the shit there that doesn't pertain to them personally.
>So Ben does this, but then lay-offs come and he gets fired.
>Whatever, he was thinking of moving to another state anyways
>While at the FLGS he gets a call from his boss
>BenYoureAGenius.wav
>Turns out his boss's bosses saw the STSS spreadsheet, but completely misinterpreted what the numbers meant. Ben's boss thus gets a promotion for heading the "STSS Project".
>Boss offers Ben a new job in gratitude. Ben laughs his ass off but turns him down, plans have already been made for his move out-of-state.

And that was just my favorite one I remember. This guy gets into shenanigans all the god damn time.
