The Soldier - Formerly British SAS. Left the service after an IED took his leg in Afghanistan. Cool and calm, even when horrifying nightmares are about. Gets on with the Vet like two pees in a pod and eager to learn.

The Engineer - Handy-dandy mechanic. Great at maintaining equipment, good at jokes, but prone to panic when the chips are down. Needs others to stabilise. Looked up to the original 4, owns a substantial collection of GBI merchandise. Including embarrassing underwear.

The Basketcase - a cross between the occultist and the scientist. Spent years studying the occult, learned too much. Can't sleep without: salt circle around bed, protective sigils, night light. Definitely has PTSD. Paranoid as hell, but in this job, that's not always a bad thing.

The Boogeyman: For some reason, Basketcase has full blown panic attacks whenever this things shows up. Has been spotted under street lamp outside our London offices. Exercise caution.
Hell Bus: Passengers get on. Bus drives away into the darkness. Passengers never seen again. Only exception is Basketcase, who got off at a stop and then was catatonic for the next three days.
Theatre of the Absurd - The Royal Shakespeare Company has us on retainer. Regularly calls us in to deal with a certain irate ghostly critic who is definitely not the original William Shakespeare. If they call, instead of normal capture procedures, just take spectre to see trashiest movie out now. That seems to put it in better spirits, pun intended.

The Vet and the Soldier definitely have a teacher-protege thing going on. The fact that Soldier has started wearing the same kind of sunglasses as the Vet has not gone unnoticed. Or unmocked.

The Engineer hates the Transit van, and hates the fact that she keeps having to fix it instead of just hiring a mechanic. Says if we got a new one half of her time would suddenly be freed up. Vet argues that if she stopped complaining about having to fix the van the other half of her time would be freed up.

Basketcase has irritating habit of randomly sliming her co-workers to check if they're possessed. She would have been officially disciplined for this behaviour, if she hadn't already caught four ghosts this way.

Death can be useful if you REALLY have any enemies who wish to harm you in real life but I highly doubt you really do. You probably have people you despise but not actual enemies. Killing them is also a very final solution which wouldn't be necessary if you had the future pill.

I fly around and slow down enemies with freeze missiles and webs. I can produce a shit ton of webs, great for protecting allies from melee enemies or shutting down ranged foes. Once I blow my low stamina load, I start dropping lightning bombs on immobilized bastards. Chose lightning because the typical bombs might destroy my webbing.

Only bad thing about my build is that it hurts melee allies. The webs don't discriminate between friend and foe.

At first, I was like "I don't want no deathmatch, so I'll just throw mine in a volcano.: And then I noticed "the wearer cannot die." This makes Liquid Heart kinda useless, but I'll pick it on the hope that the pendant melds with me, making it hard to steal. Would purchasing retype Weapon multiple times for explosives allow for different types of specialty bombs, or do I have to repurchase multiple explosives for that? Like if I want normal grenades AND fire grenades, could I just purchase set explosives once and split up my bombs, or would it make ALL my grenades firebombs and force me to but it again for normal ones?

I'll kinda leave that question hanging in the air there, but basically depending on the answer I'd spend my remaining credits on a few specialty bombs (possibilities: Napalm, ice, acid, glue, something like Ana's biotic grenades if that's doable, etc.) And then any leftover would be put towards my squad being able to afford a Heavy Shielder for the base, or maybe a helicopter to drop me off behind enemy lines.

General: Probably Sarah or Melody is the best match.


Anyway, build is basically Kamikaze bomber slime. Immune to my own explosions so I could just go completely nuts with it. Can use gigantism to literally be used as a living bomb shelter: engulf allies, set bomb, protect them from any explosions I set off.

If I DO accidentally blow up any allies I can gather up the bloody chunks and restore them, Er.... No hard feelings, right?

Yeah, slimes are indestructible. That's their main draw. For something like a grenade that doesn't share a firing mechanism, one retype on it could give you multiple varieties. However, you might get in a situation where you use up all of one type of grenade and are left with ones you don't need. No, you can't get healing grenades. Restored Explosives will help mitigate the drawback of a diversified stock, but keep in mind that they aren't restored instantly.

Basically, my personal assumption was that restored explosives are basically like ability cooldowns in certain games. Probably the best example I can think of offhand is the Engineer class in Gw2 since that's literally unlimited bombs but on cooldowns.

Recharge time, therefore would scale with the size and utility of said bombs. So a standard rocket might have a 10-20 second recharge, a larger mine might be closer to a minute, building-demolishing sized stuff would be like an ult and in real world settings probably take hours to get back. etc. I also assumed you basically have to carry your "max ammo capacity" and will be encumbered by a large amount of types and such.


But anyway, the gist of my thought process was that explosives are the perfect weapon for a combat slime. They require little to no physical strength to actually use, and then they're immune to the inherent drawbacks of splash damage from using them at indivisibly short ranges, so they don't even need a back-up short range weapon.

The catch is you'd have to fight solo to prevent friendly fire, or shield allies somehow.


If I REALLY wanted healing grenades or something like it, I could probably take the built-in weapons tattoo instead and integrate some delivery method for literally launching globs of healing goo at allies. It's completely unnecessary, just thought It'd be thematic.

Next on the list is finding that Eclipse group I had heard about, get as much information from them as I can, try and infiltrate their base, and learn about their methods. All the while, I shall study other forms of magic, learning new spells and perhaps creating my own.


There will be more things I shall do as well, but the end result will still be the same; I become god, and the world gets crushed under my heel.

Well, your personal power section must be excellent along with any lair choices. I'm very interested in seeing what you'll do on plots and how you're going to make the choice system. Like having great intelligence at your disposal, magic or advanced tech/doomsday device and how that might alter your builds. Additionally you can expand upon underlings and any "number 2". A great addition would be so that NPC's will lose. A great evil cannot win unless it's on the expense of others. Like perhaps countries, kingdoms, or factions?

So list in order of importance:

1. Plots (such as alien invasion, intelligence, advanced tech, doomsday devices, etc).
2. Personal Powers/Capabilities.
3. Lair/Base.
4. Underlings including a Number 2 (with perhaps minion specialties).
5. Winning at the expense of NPC's (such as factions).

I will have 9 equal divisions, each consisting of...
One of every division except strategist, assassin, diversionist, and fleshwarper. That's 90 units divided evenly between 9 squads. I'll have 2 strategists, 3 diversionist groups, 3 Fleshwarper groups,and 2 assassin cabals for strategic deployment. I won't always put them in the field, only when they're needed.

Felaern the Strategist. Considering my skills as a killer, I need someone who can actually sit the hell down and figure out what needs doing. He's the best man for the job.

Tsukino the Harrier. A debaucherous foil to my strategist, she'll serve to keep him from being too hard on my men and keep morale up. She'll have to learn a thing or two about responsibility and safe sex, especially since the enemy is spread via sex. To that end, I'll keep her with me when I go on small missions just so things don't go to shit back with the army when I'm not there to keep an eye on her

Another great production, Strife. I love the unique classes and companions. Really neat world, as well.

I do notice you're fond of that border style. Also, it's kind of hard to imagine the character I built being in charge of an army. It'd be neat if there was a drawback section for those of us who wish to fly solo or with just companions.

I have been remade. The power of the elements and the form of a great bearlike thing are mine. The reporter will be easy enough to deal with - he'll take any tip on the monsters' activities from the unassuming humanoid. If they pull up anything on the organization, the government will have me on a dissecting table in a matter of weeks at best. All of this is to save my own skin.

The budget rangers will be next - not killed, but left unable to fight, crippled by the great claws of the bear. I respect them too much to simply put an end to them, but orders are orders.

As for the Magical Girls, I fear that they may either come in contact with the Dark Hero (who likely still exists despite my not picking him as a foe), or worse, try to appeal to my basic humanity and turn me to their side.

I say the latter is worse because I know fully well what will become of me should I betray the organization. They have given me everything - and like it or not, they have me by the neck. By the time I realized what I was getting myself into, it was far too late to turn back.
