Designing a dungeoncrawl for my brothers Only War game, The players will be a small platoon of expendables sent to recover the son of a planetary noble who was the officer in charge of a recon/survey team sent into the abandoned underdecks of an Imperial battlecrusier to report on its suitability for refurbishment and use. The lower aft decks were sealed off a century ago, but the actual record of why is lost due to ship log corruption.
Im looking for ideas for enviromental hazards, traps, and anything cool you might find down there. Any thoughts /tg/?

I was thinking a lost raiding party of orks from 2 centuries prior who got trapped/lost in a section and never found would be the main antagonists

Sounds kinda like the Descent, by way of Aliens, with the crawlers being rowdy green football hooligans
I guess the obvious idea would be sections that are exposed to hard vacuum, especially if the player's vacc-suits are damaged

Void areas are a definite. Also maybe some xeno-mold/fungus with interesting properties has infected some areas. Im basically riffing on a good round of Space Station 13 for enviromental hazards
