Life's been mostly consumed by school, work, and schoolwork. As per usual, dreams have been crushed as the naivete was squeezed out of me. The world has just been getting darker, and even when I have great accomplishments I don't feel like I've done anything. My health is still inconsistent, and I've been sick all weekend. I've started making CYOAs as a way to try gaining a skill that might help me survive after I graduate, as my grades will probably keep me from getting a job right off the bat. They're fun and I really enjoy making them. In fact, I enjoy making them more than I like playing them.

The Administrator is an Incarnate who fiercly believes in his own duty to his Universe, and all other Universes that are otherwise abandoned. Every moment of his life is dedicated to studying or ruling his territory. As a result of his governance, his Universe is almost entirely violence free. That's not to say he shies from violence, but it is not his forte and he largely relies on the three Titan Mechs his previous self left behind as well as the support from his numerous companions. This overwhelming amount of firepower has allowed him to either kill all the other Incarnates in his Universe or force them to flee. He believes in the Conquering King's ideals and bent his knee as soon as they met each other. Because of his untold amounts of knowledge and superior administrative skills, he often looks over other Universes for allied Incarnates while they are off hunting or doing other things.

He rules from his bustling Planetoid Station, and claims dominion over at least 70% of his Universe. Each portion is ruled by either imported humans or whatever suitable native species he found in each area, cobbled together in an interstellar parliament that advises him. His ships are largely for research, sent out with his most trusted civilians in order to further the cause of science. Most of his companions stay on his station in order to do research or govern, but the three Wise Men and Croatmor are often sent out to deal with any threats. President Eden stays on Earth naturally, and he is currently looking after Heather Ruth in an attempt to unlock her genetic code. Due to an incident where he killed a promising Incarnate that supported The A.I., they are both on fairly negative terms and their respective agents will fight each other if they stumble upon each other, though they won't go out of their way to do so.

I was trying to make race the source of all your magic & to make equipment sourced mainly by tech. You can still "channel" magic through items, depending on the type. Some races can specifically add their magical damage on top of their weapon damage. But there's no reason a purity magical girl can't get a cutesy magical assault rifle to shoot her love into the hearts of enemies.

The Justice based slayer suit builds weren't the most optimized, its far easier to go Strength, so the suit amplifies all your spirit gift powers, make the suit or whatever A.I you insert a incarnate and herald and take the the A.I. patron for double power multiplier and increased intelligence in the late game or The Other for more starting powers via Gem of the dreamer and thus a better early game.

Any deficiencies in power can be made up with the soul matrix and plague III, or just make "harvesting" runs every few centuries or so on the universes you managed to conquer. And because of Strength's full release power, you can always just make the Lord of Woes your personal punching bag in the far late game for even more power.

Well technically you can get away with plague II, you just infect everyone in your universe with a dormant form of your magical plague, have it propagate and infect everyone. Once you need more power, make the plague go active, kill a certain percentage of the universe's population and harvest their souls via soul matrix.

Part 1 of backstory

I started off content with my lot in life. I was a skilled everyman that tends to generators or acts as a doctor when people get hurt. Whatever medical/computer tech job the State needed I fulfilled and was cycled between the two during working shifts. I woke up, freshened up, had breakfast, went to work, had lunch, finished work, walked back to the barracks, talked with the other workers along the way, ate dinner, freshened up, and went to bed. Every day was the same unless the State required me to change. Some might call my life boring and predictable but I was happy that I had the safety of the State. That was until the voices started coming into my head.

We always heard of mind readers but the State told us it was just nonsense and "lunacy" in our education programs. Normally we take pills, shots, and weird syrups to prevent lunacy early on but unfortunately these only delay and not cure those with my condition. As we were taught by the State, I turned myself into the nearest State evaluation center upon realizing I suffered from lunacy. Surprisingly they said that my affliction was rare but something that could help the State if I followed some new protocols. I was partnered with Alyssa to become a scout, using my affliction to hear poisonous thoughts that could harm the State and ordered to report my findings to Alyssa. Alyssa keeps telling me that everything's okay and my condition is for the greater good. I try so hard to keep my mind to myself but my "Psionics" as the State called it prevent me from having peace of mind from having pieces of others minds invade mine. I don't have to read Alyssa's mind to tell that she truly believes in the good of everyone, even a "lunatic" like myself.

It should work, you go berserk and the suit goes berserk, your body starts breakdown and tear itself apart from the strain and so does the suit the longer the both of you remain in full berserk mode.

But whatever to each his own head canon. My original build exploits instant transmission II and stealth III to kill incarnates as quickly as possible without being detected by any means and just disappearing into my pocket dimension than heal up, scan and lock onto my next target, rinse and repeat.

The Halloween update doesn't change my primary strategy, the only addition is Hayden as a mandatory companion to include, because he can teach you how to kill incarnates more effectively, getting training from him and old Master Lee guarantees that you can defeat any incarnate on a one on one basis.

On a side note, there are no written rules or descriptions to indicate that there are any harmful side effects from taking berserk III, than powering up and staying at 200% indefinitely. I think Lodoleth disapproved of it though.

Hey, /tg/.

It's been a while since I last made a CYOA. And by a while I mean a few weeks. Since then, (I think) I've finished watching Haiyore (anime is confusing). I've also played MGSV to mostly completion.

Anywho, as irrelevant as that may seem, I feel like making either an Eldritch themed CYOA, perhaps somewhat in the vein of the recent Fleshweaver one, but with sanity on the line rather than the unpleasant modifications, or a Mercenary/PMC one, where you would pick a base, soldiers, a cause, ETC.

I imagine that the Mercenary one would be longer but a little more simplistic, whereas the Eldritch one would be shorter but probably a little more visually and mechanically interesting. I'm not exactly great at making things look good, but hey. Neither would likely be finished today. I imagine they'd be finished either very, very early tomorrow, or around nowish tomorrow, given a CYOA takes me about 6-10 hours to complete.

I'll leave the choice up to you guys.
