Actually investing your share in better equipment and weapons, rather than just spending it all on wenches and booze.
And how are we supposed to survive fifty days of travel with only wenches and booze?

Sounds like quitter's talk to me
>>49995941
If you have wenches and booze, why are you travelling in the first place?
>>49995961
To have more money for more wenches and booze.
>>49995961
To get the best booze and the best wenches of all the land, of course!
Boozewenchnomics is what sustains small communities in very hostile environments without being dependant on oligarchies and plutocracies like minor feudal lords and city-states.
Lets say that your village main economical exports are furs, wood, consumable alimentary goods and minor technological implements. Said community is close to an entrance into the Underdark or the Darklands whicj communities aren't really interested into commerce with you but rather turn you into a good (slave, food or both). Enter the traumatized adventurer which stress urges him/her to fuck, gamble or get wasted.
Simce murderhobos have a poor self control some may end spending absurd amounts of gold for a small community which will grant the chance to hire mercenaries, dwarf architects skilled into fortification design and elf spellcasters that will conceal the village with illusions.
If instead of spending money in booze and wenches the adventurers spend their money into consumables fromg the general store or the local spellcaster then instead the ones who obtain the benefit are the guilds belonging to a city-state with little benefit for the small community.

What about maintenance? Replacing broken stuff?
Swords are expensive but fragile.
Orcs are hardy and numerous.

As a GM I provide extra experience for money spent on non-adventure related stuff.

Do you have a real formula for that?
Like "percentage of your maximum wealth spent on frivolities, times 5, to the power of 1/(the number of times you've already used this money-XP conversion during this adventure) times (1+ length of time you describe your character having fun in hours [up to a maximum of 0.085 hours])?
