The ox is just a politics card that gets out of control if it happens to stick. It is fun for people like me, since the damage can quickly get over the top.

I know I kind of like it.

The faerie is just "Your opponents can't cast creatures for a little bit", which is definitely powerful since ETB is out the ass in EDH, but isn't nearly as exciting to red fans like me who actually enjoy dealing damage.

I'm just disappointed by the uniqueness in general of the nephilim generals. Only Saskia and Gay Kings are particularly unique, otherwise it's just a by-the-colors toolbox, Wanderer 2.0 and a french vanilla proliferator.

It's Whenever it deals combat damage. Double strike makes that Whenever happen twice, first on strike one, second on strike two. Resonate it and throw in an extra combat step to add 2 cascades. Now you have an 8x Cascading Wanderer and can cascade into infinity.

Haste/phasing.
If you don't have haste on the guy then you don't really get to use the equipment, so they can just re-equip. Phasing can phase out equips/auras with the phased out creature IIRC, so you can essentially keep the equips forever.

Honestly though its not that good, just anti voltron tech. Timewalks them with the mana costs on their equips at worst, at best gets rid of the shroud/protection you needed to get through to kill their general. Would only play this card if voltron was super prevalent in your meta.

God I want to play Grip of Phyresis so bad. It's awesome. But I can't. It's so fucking narrow.

It's not quite infinite, however, it might as well be. Each spell you cast would have 10+ instances of cascade, so you basically play your entire deck and there's not much anyone could do to stop you.

However, Lab Man won't work because you'd still have lands in your deck. But you have your entire deck either already cast or on the field.

He emulates Nin by having a mad doctor represented as doing damage and drawing a card as doing an experiment and getting results, and he allows others to do it because he was Geralf's mentor in SOI block. His flavor text is set up like he's responding to a question about how smart he is to try and set that up as well, like if Geralf asked him how he became such a genius. But again it's not really representative of the epithet "Necro-Alchemist" or the character in general as said a million times.

Can you get multiple cascades at once through dealing combat damage multiple times?

For example giving him doublestrike, copying the trigger, or additional combat steps?

If I cast a spell with cipher after hitting with Ydris, the spell gains cascade, correct? This is AS it's being cast that it gets cascade, so before it's even on the stack. Does it HAVE cascade from the ciphered version of the spell (not does it GET cascade from Ydris). i.e. does "cipher" capture the state of the spell when it's being ciphered, or does it only capture the original version of the spell.

In the rulebook:
702.98b The term “encoded” describes the relationship between the card with cipher while in the exile zone and the creature chosen when the spell represented by that card resolves.

I think this means that cipher doesn't capture the state of the spell, it only captures the state of the card, and the card doesn't gain cascade, the spell does, but this is a little confusing as the only times I recall having to consider literal, physical card dynamics is in the un sets.

Cards cannot gain abilities. The card only exists as it was printed (as well as errata). Nothing you do is going to permanently give a card cascade which does not already itself have cascade.

You cast the card, it turns into a spell which gains cascade, then it's gone. When the cipher kicks in, it's only casting the copy of the original card.

Was it so hard to have painlands, checklands AND the budget filter lands on enemy colors? I don't even have OCD and the mishmash fucks with me. Fuck man, like Cascade Ogre? UB, UR, UG, BG, BR, GR. You have like 40 lands to fuck with, that's 15 lands right there, not touching upon City of Brass and Mana Confluence, Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse, Arcane Lighthouse, 4 vivids, utility and some basics and you got your cheapo manabase without Fetches and Shocks.

It's so easy to just have uniform lands across the board, so you can devote time to figuring out what utility lands work with the deck. Which shouldn't be too difficult to do.

It's not. I came up with a list in 30 seconds. Each deck would need a uniform base of lands, which should show new players that consistent manabases make or break a deck regardless of your theme.

Like dude, mana rocks for filler too. Signets, Chromatic Lantern (which probably isn't getting reprinted, nor is Coalition Relic), Darksteel Ingot, Artifact bitch gets <> rocks, Sol Ring, a lot of the deck is devoted to 4 colors, so you need a lot of fixing. You need as much fixing as you can get.

I bought all shard decks.
I bought all planeswalker decks.
I bought all but Kalemne's C16 decks.
This year I will buy a handfull of Rebecca Guay lands and Magus of the Will.

Don't be surprised if this shit bombs ridiculously at Wal Mart, local ones still have Freyalise and Meren, don't want to even picture how much wasted space these will hoard.
