Strike Witches Character Generator Revised

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

Thread replies: 337
Thread images: 80

In the spirit of /tg/ occasionally getting stuff done, last week I shared a homebrew creation with the community. The Strike Witches character generator is a supplement for the "Dive Into the Sky" RPG, and exists mainly because generating random pantsless magical girls carrying gigantic firearms is sometimes fun.

There was a fair amount of commentary, and a number of typos were identified and suggestions made, and on the whole the 1st edition should be a reminder to everyone not to be the editor/layout person on your own work. Nonetheless, I promised a Revised Edition of the character generator by early this week, and here it is. Something like 90% of the suggestions made were acted upon, so thank you everyone for the commentary last thread.

I consider this to be the final version, unless something massive and critical is uncovered which we didn't find in the last thread. Have fun with it, or don't. I'm not your boss.

Link to previous thread/edition:
http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/49829058/

>I don't have time to do a record sheet and get this out when I promised it would be out. I'm really picky about RS's, and doing one up right is likely going to take 3-5 days of off-and-on work by itself. Unlike some other game companies I've worked for, I take deadlines seriously.

>I may use this manuscript as the basis for a Tank Witches generator in the future, but if anyone feels like preempting me and doing it yourself, go for it.
>>

Thanks man. I always love seeing original content on /tg/.
>>
>>49952970
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the Suomus striker table is missing its 1d10 dice roll column.
>>
>>49953687

...how the shit?

It's still in my manuscript, but it somehow didn't make the jump over to PDF. I'll have it fixed in 30 minutes; I have to run an errand first.
>>
Okay, using off site rolling to not eat up the entire thread:
>Republic of Suomus
>Morane - Saulnier MS.406 (Bugbear) Probably the Finnish Mörkö-Morane variant.
>Norwegian Forest Cat (Choose any cat or dog)
>Rocket Launcher and Pistol: Fliegerhammer, Lahti L-35
>Flat B-Cup, Normal butt, Thick hips
>Magic Strength: willpower+5
>Ballistic Stabilization
Name: Seija Virtanen

Seija is, as her name would suggest, a quiet and calm person. Her platinum blonde hair is matched by icy gray eyes, which often are hooded in a look of disinterest. While she would rather be using a marksman or antimateriel rifle, she is one of the few who can properly use a rocketlauncher. Her skill in the air remains decent, but her ability to make crack shots with her rockets and great magic strength are what make her a valuable teammate.

In the spirit of apparently magical problems, that was one of them. The column appears in the manuscript, and disappears when saved as a PDF. I had to generate a new table completely from scratch, delete the old table, insert the new one, and it worked the first time.

Utterly maddening, that.

Here's the corrected version.

Ohh, updated with the Attribute stuff too. OK, here we go.

>Weapon Skill: 20+10 = 30
>Ballistic Skill: 20+19 = 39
>Strength: 20+15 = 35
>Toughness: 20+16 = 36
>Agility:20+19 = 39
>Intelligence:: 20+3 = 23
>Willpower:20+12 = 32
>Perception: 20+12 = 32
>Fellowship: 20+20 = 40
>Country: (15) = Orussia
>Striker (4) = Polikarpov I-16 OMG IT'S ADORABLE
>Familiar (5) = Nevskaya Maskaradnaya (a cat that I certainly can't pronounce with a 23 Int)
>Main Gun (8) = x2 DP-28 LMGs
>Pistol (8) = Nagant revolver
>Forward Assets: Comic Book D-cups (yes)
>Aft Assets: Hourglass figure scaled to comic book D-cups (YES)
>Magic Strength: 3 (WP bonus)+4 = 7
>Magic Power: (43) = Inspiration

Titsanya Pavilchenkyo is a bubbly font of clothes advice, jewelry critique, makeup tips, and airheaded comedy. Her ability to motivate and inspire her teammates with any and all of her gratuitous assets borders on (and occasionally crosses over into) the outright magical. While she'll never be a true squadron commander, her ability to keep squadron morale high even in the worst of times makes her an invaluable part of any Strike Witch flight group.

...oh, I like this. It's like the dice roller <knows> what I like.

So I opened it up to take a quick look, and got to the country origin chart

>No Belgica
>No Dacia
>No Moesia
>No Greece
>No Venezia
>No South Africa
All of these have canon witches already presented in the franchise, mostly in the 505th and 506th. Though I can see South Africa being omitted, as the one witch from there is pretty different than all others.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I thought China pretty much ceased to exist centuries ago in the SW universe. Though more recent maps don't have the landmass eaten like earlier ones, was that retconned while I wasn't looking?

Author's mission statement and commentary last thread generally covers that. Author was using the show as his primary source, not the mangas, and none of those countries has anybody major appear from them in the show.

And honestly, I'd rather have China as a participant than any of those other countries. Strike Witches doesn't outright say China doesn't exist, it just doesn't comment on it one way or another (big surprise, given that it's Japan writing the show), and in something WW2-themed, leaving out China would raise more questions than including it when there isn't anything to indicate it's not there.

If it were to bother you that much, replace China with a "roll on sub-table" entry and roll to determine one of the countries you named. They should all be less common than Canadian or Finnish characters anyway.

Alright that's fine, I didn't see the earlier thread. Not how I'd have done it but I can see the reasoning.

As for China, I believe most of it was wiped out by Neuroi centuries ago. Same thing with the Middle East/Levant, which is why the Abrahamic religions don't exist anymore. Older maps have entire chunks of land just gone, but newer ones don't so ???
>>
>>49957026
>why the Abrahamic religions don't exist anymore
Wait what
>>
>>49957053
There's no Christianity, Islam or Judaism in Strike Witches. Europe is more secular overall, but their religions are more developed version of the old Nordic/Celtic/Slavic/etc. faiths.
All those cathedrals you see are dedicated to Odin and Thor and stuff, not Christ.
>>
>>49957079
Can I have some proof? This seems like something the show writers wouldn't even give a damn about

Well crap, I'm having a hard time finding concrete proof for some of that, sorry. A lot is just in the details here and there. I do have the original timeline here, as well as the Japanese version (since the translation may not be 100% accurate) https://www37.atwiki.jp/strike_witches/pages/150.html
Note, for example, that in 29 AD the Judea region was wiped out, and with it the Abrahamic religions. Then Iraq and Iran in 600, which are literally gone in the map I posted earlier. I'm positive there are a few references elsewhere to the Nordic Pantheon being the dominant religion of central Europe, but I can't for the life of me find them. I believe they call it something like Yggdraism?

Do remember, Strike Witches is not an anime series, it's a multimedia franchise of which the anime is only a part. Content and information-wise it may even be the smallest part.

>Nobunaga unified Japan

Jesus this is a screwed up timeline

IIRC WW1 was also fought against the Neuroi? Have the Neuroi always been around to plague humanity?
>>
>>49957806
Yeah, they talk about it in the movie intro. The Neuroi have always been around long as humans can remember. They're the basis of pretty much all monsters and evil in myth and legend. Usually they hide in the shadowy parts of the world - 'here there be monsters' and all that - but sometimes they surge forth and cause mass destruction.

In that timeline, wherever the translation says there were 'disturbances' or 'incidents' up till about the renaissance or so, the original japanese says all the people vanished (消失). Which I would take as 'wiped out'. After that they seem to survive the incidents, but it's still pretty clearly mass Neuroi attacks.

Kinda reminds me of the Code Geass timeline, where Ben Franklin betrayed the revolution, Napoleon won Waterloo, and the nobility of Britain fled to the Americas. Among many other crazy things. Think that one may have also had Caesar surviving.
>>
>>49957952
Don't forget the fact that early guns worked on clockwork and springs for Code Geass. That was a fucky bit.

Should panties really be rolled for? Shouldn't it be up to the individual witch? Maybe she prefers ruffles because of her lack of ass, despite the extra drag they provide. Maybe she likes garters and some lacy panties because she's bombastic and sensual. Panties shouldn't just be random, they are an intrinsic way of displaying a witch's personality. The school swimsuit is a way to show that she's young and naive about the ways of the world. The leopard print says that she is risque and looking for a way to show off. The plain white is a way to show her purity of heart and singularity of purpose.

No, panties shouldn't just be randomly allotted because we have the technology to do so. They must be chosen specifically for each witch. The make, the color, the patterns, the prints, verily, all aspects are a way for a witch to display who she is and what she stands for, right on her hips.
>>
>>49959908
Optional roll table as a compromise.
>>
>>49959555
>panty design table?
Not all witches wear panties. Most Fuso witches, for example, wear those school swimsuits.

Besides color, there should be a roll for style, like plain, lace, printed (will require another roll to decide what's printed, like fruit or animals), commando and etc.

That's really too bad. I've had a lot of the same experiences as I want to play and run games that aren't 5e and Pathfinder, but my local group is only into those. You get things set up and characters made and *poof* no players. Or the GM just stops replying to anything.

Welp, this thread made me go back through my game notes. Even had a world building thread 'justifying' how the flight frames got put into place.

>The first recorded downing of a pilot by an enemy would be German pilot Angelika Zimmermann, who was knocked unconscious by French pilot Renée Dubois, when Renée scored a direct hit on Angelika's head with her camera in a fit of frustration after Angelika had ruined an entire roll worth of film by flying in front of her camera and making faces while Renée was trying to take pictures of German fortifications.

Had a cold-war-gone-hot aftermath with a seriously crippled America and Russia and a UN Coalition forces international police force thing. Had a few backup plots of American and Russian superweapons, Ace Combat Style to use for bosses.

Man, fuck, I don't ever get the time to put any thought or writing into my stuff anymore.

The only ill will I harbor to Pathfinder is that its prevalence in my area makes it practically impossible to get a group that doesn't play it. Apparently some of the designers live nearby and pushed it hardcore, and there's a huge PFS scene here. I just want to try other games, but the only game I've gotten to try was a White Wolf based vampire LARP that wasn't really my style. Too many people being too self-involved about the importance of their characters.

If I were to run this at a table, I'd expect two "flights" from a single squadron. So everybody's part of the, say, 391st Squadron (10-12 Witches), but with 5-6 players each person has a character in Flight 1 and Flight 2, and they alternate duty days (ensuring that each player is playing only 1 PC at a time).

>>49959673
>>49959908
So, I actually briefly (ha) considered this. I decided against it for two reasons. First and most importantly, I didn't actually intend for this to be an ERP game beyond the level seen in the show. (I have absolutely nothing against ERP gaming; only that it wasn't the intent behind this project.) Forcing players into panty descriptions crossed that line; if I didn't include it, people could choose whether or not to include it themselves. Second, >>49959908 says it pretty much perfectly.

Oh, and it would be a *really* lengthy series of combinatorial tables to cover all the possible style/cut/color+legging combinations that, frankly, I didn't wanna do.

>Re: China
Maps like >>49958673 were my primary resource. I saw China as existing, just undetailed because let's face it; it's a show about WW2 by the Japanese. We'd start running out of notable aces for a lot of countries really quick (how many Danish aces are there?), but IMO Witch names should have at least some major connection with WW2 aviation. Genderbending Kurt Tank, for example (the engineer who designed the Focke Wulf 190 and the Ta152 and doubled as their test pilot) would be a solid play.

Tank Witches are what you're looking for there. OP mentioned them in the first post, but IIRC they're only found in doujin form so far.

Witches need the striker units to bring about the magic beyond just one whatever their superpower happens to be. On a bang for buck basis, it's just more useful for them to be either armored or air force.

Last thread though had the idea of a witch using experimental equipment where she acts as the generator for a squad of soldiers in magitech power armor.

Well the doujin is considered canon, if that's what you mean.

And tank witch characters have probably shown up in the other manga/light novel/OVAs. Though probably hard to track considering it's a multimedia franchise.

>>49961944

Seyffardt is pretty clearly named after Fritz Seyffardt, a FW190 ace.

Pavilchenkyo doesn't come back with any Russian pilot names, but it does come back with Lyudmilla Pavilchenkyo, who was a major female sniper for the Red Army.

Joesephine Jackson probably comes back to Michael Jackson, a US Army Air Corps ace with 18-ish kills.

Seija Virtanen MUST be about Kullervo "Kude" Virtanen. He wasn't an ace, but he was the most successful Finnish recce pilot of WW2.

And then a Neuroi offensive strands them behind enemy lines, while the legit witches are wounded or shot down protecting the company from a large enemy air attack.

Now it's down to the showgirls to finally put their combat skills to use and prove themselves as heroes, protecting the company as they make their way back to friendly lines, as an increasingly dogged Neuroi hunter force pits them against tougher and tougher opponents, stopping at nothing to make sure they're wiped out.
>>
>>49961992
>We'd start running out of notable aces for a lot of countries really quick

That's a fair point, and a reasonable way to look at things. I'd also personally be OK with the person playing the Russian sniper as well, since it's clearly WW2-themed. With names in mind, before I go to bed, I'll leave this here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_World_War_II_flying_aces

There should be a reasonable number of names people can pull from there.

And pursuant to the Finn discussion, I swear there's a Finn with like 70 kills, and whose name you can actually pronounce. The name escapes me, but he's probably somewhere on the list.

Fast, accurate, and tough, Aiko is a solid dogfighter with a real passion for speeding through the skies. She fights like she has something to prove every step of the way, however, which leads to her frequently disregarding orders in favor of trying to build her kill count. It's hard to deny she's good at it, but there's a good reason people don't appreciate flying with a glory hound.

(I'd actually hoped to roll something other than Fuso at first, and then I actually checked out all the other witches that were made, and suddenly being the only Fuso so far was actually pretty amusing. I imagine she has a complex over being the only Fuso in a team mainly comprised of Brits and Russians, but at least she can commiserate with the American and Finn over them all being the only ones representatives of their respective countries.)

>>
>>49962100

Hm, Let's see. These never got full on combat stats because it never made it to actually getting them.

Both the US and Russia got seriously crippled in a first-strike after the Cold War, so there was some various automated and non-automated superweapons that were forgotten about in the leadership wipe, or things that your average joe didn't want to the push the button on.

The Russian Base: Project Triglav. It was going to either be an Air-to-ground base that was prepping MIRVs for launch, and the pilots would have to disable buildings/equipment to stop launches, or shoot down the launches while being dogged by either Russian partistans or Secret Political Cabal pilots. In the event I totally botched statting it and every launch went off, was going to retro-fit it to being a mecha-walker-tank delivery system and there would be a followup mission of the shells landing and the pilots having to take out the walkers.

The US had the Aurora bomber, which was an automated satellite launching system built into a flying carrier delivery system with a bunch of ion cannons. Had guns on it, and was going to be a two/three stage fight where parts of it ablated off to fire the next stage booster and release a bunch of automatic bits that'd keep firing at the pilots while they re-entered. Failure on this one was going to be the Mandatory Space Mission to destroy/de-orbit the satellites before they fired their space lasers.

China was also going to roll out a flying super carrier, but after the Avengers movie, I'm pretty sure people would go 'hey, aren't we just fighting the SHIELD helicarrier?'

Valeria G. Fibbia is drop-dead gorgeous and extremely aware of that fact. She barely passed through Romagna's basic Witch training, and were it not for her impressive hand-eye coordination and marksmanship abilities, she likely would have been relegated back into nursing school. With her limited physical abilities, she carries one of the lightest main weapons available for use by Romagnan Strike Witches. Her affinity for the Fiat G.55 Striker Unit complements her natural agility well, and she is capable of impressive feats of flying as long as she doesn't think too hard about what she's doing. In battle Valeria tends toward skittishness and a fear of seeing comrades injured; this lack of aggressiveness disappears when her magical powers are called-for, and once her blood is up Valeria has an unfortunate habit of disobeying orders to get at grips with the enemy who hurt her squadronmates. She is in no way a natural leader, but if a squadron commander can reign in her hot/cold battle impulses, she can make a fine addition to any Strike Witch Squadron as a wingman or perhaps someday a junior officer.

>Her namesake is Guido Fibbia, a G.55 ace who took on 5 P-47D Thunderbolts simultaneously and either shot down 1 and damaged 3, or shot down 3 and damaged 1 (accounts differ), but returned to base completely unhit.

The brockjones dice roller app is known to weight its results toward 10s and 1s. So you'll get a lot of 9 or 10 results, and a lot of 1 or 2 results. Which means that getting 18-19-20 is more common than you'd otherwise expect. The overall roller still averages correctly (out of 100 rolls, they'd average ~5.5), but getting 5s and 6s on each d10 occur only 6-8% of the time instead of 10%, and that adds up fast.

With that said, it's the easiest-to-use online roller there is, and if basically everyone is rolling on it then there's no advantage. So no big deal.

I just read the chart. The line you are referring to lists "1 light machinegun and 1 shotgun" as a loadout. So in this case a Drilling refers to a multi-barreled hunting rifle/shotgun.

Combination guns like this had multiple barrels and were usually break action. Sometimes the barrels were in different calibres so you could use different types of ammunition in the same gun. In this context however it would be a multi barreled shotgun. The "drilling" part indicates that it has three barrels. If it had two or four barrels it would be a zvilling or vierling instead.
>>
>>49975704
Ah. I see where I messed up now. Since I had line 2 it'd just be a MG-15. Also thanks for the info.
>>
MG81s would be a cool option in case you roll double LMGs as a Kraut.
>>
>>49975698

As a quick heads-up, the entry is intended to give you an LMG *and* a shotgun. The Drillings is that shotgun.

The problem is that a ton of countries didn't issue combat shotguns to troops, Germany, Italy, and Japan being most of those countries. So the Germans get a hunting shotty since it was widespread in the civvie population, Italy gets a sawn-off since it was the primary weapon of organized crime at the time, and Japan gets an extra pistol because they basically had *zero* shotguns whatsoever and I couldn't reasonably fake it for them.

I went to the deviantart pages of some of the artists whose work is used in the OP PDF, and I have to say, this guy (sithlordanimefan) has a completely shit name, but I really, really, like his art style.
>>
>>49978494
There's something... off about the faces. It's like he's drawn everything else, including heads, and then forgot how to place the faces correctly in relation to the head.
>>
>>49978616
I think that's just what happens when you transplant the very anime style of Strike Witches to something more Western, but don't change the setup of the faces to be more Western-styled
>>
>>49978616
Most of them feel too low. Like the eye and mouth position in too close to the chin. And the style of eyes he's using just don't feel like they match the size of eyes he's using. If you get what I mean.
>>
>>49978652

This. With that said, I do like the art. The heavy bangs help balance the faces, the characters are clearly recognizable, and the details of clothes and weapons are solid. They're very striking, and if it weren't for the original art being better in my mind, I'd be OK with a show drawn in this style.

Certainly it's less stylized than other actual art we've seen out of Japan; I'd prefer to see Strike Witches drawn like this rather than drawn something like Shin Chan.

>it's good choices of art throughout the OP PDF, though. I still can't believe that a fan supplement actually included art, credited the artists, and linked back to their galleries. That's...unheard of.

So in DtiS, when it says you get Intelligence x5 skill points, does it mean like, 3x5 or 30x5?
>>
>>49983518
Also, why are there two familiar tables?
>>
>>49983518
I THINK it's using total intelligence, not the intelligence bonus, on the assumption that you're supposed to put it into a vast amount of skills and because it seems to have something like DH2E's levels of skills.

>Characters may also choose 5 skills which they favor, and place a mark next to them. These are skills the character is particularly good at, and they start at a value equal to the base attribute used by the skill. All other skills start at a value equal to half of their
base attribute, rounded down. Any skill with no points placed into it is assumed to be at least at the level of these basic proficiencies.

>>49983574
To keep a large number of options
>>
>>49983574
I'm going to make an educated guess that, given how skills operate in the trained/+10/+20 range, it's derived from the characteristic bonus and not the entire characteristic score itself. So 3x5 and not 30x5. Holy shit, does this entire skill system need an overhaul for it to be anything approaching usable.
>>
>>49984009
Oh wait, it is derived from Intelligence. That's fucking retarded.
>>
>>49984188
Why do you think it's retarded that skill points are derived from the statistics that summarizes how smart your character is?
>>
>>49984291
It's more with how it's derived from Intelligence and how you distribute it. I don't think the person who wrote this has ever actually played DH. There's a reason they separate skill levels into Trained/+10/+20, and that's because it's tedious to keep track of if you're having to distribute individual points into skills percentile-by-percentile. Also, there's no upper limit on how much you can put into a starting skill? You're inviting 95% dodge for the entire party at chargen.

There are a bunch of other little things that bother the fuck out of me but, whatever, I can always unfuck it if I ever want to use the system. Have character.

In my playtest game, most of the skill points just went straight into the various dodge/shoot/parry skills. I didn't have anything to do with the skill point thing, so I'm not sure I'm the one you want to be talking to.

As for the house rules, I like some, but not others. I'm not a fan of familiar bonuses at all (I didn't put them into the supplement for that reason), and I don't think the characteristic tables are necessary. However, the starting skills and luck rules are solid, as are the XP guidelines. Whether people want to use the hair/eye/etc tables or just choose is immaterial. Arms/Armor are so close to what's in DITS I think either can be used interchangably.

Intelligence: 28
Willpower: 33

+5 Acrobatics, ATA Guns, Unarmed, Command

HP: 16
Starting Speed: 7
Maximum Speed: 25
Acceleration: 5

Magic Points: 8
Magic Powers: Light Wave
Luck: 6

Archetype: Hotblooded

Homeland: Commonwealth of Britannia

Striker Unit: Hawker Tempest
+5 to ATG Guns

Familiar: White Housecat
+15 AG, +5 Per

Equipment:
Primary: Vickers-Berthier LMG
Secondary: M12 Shotgun

Age: 22
Height: 176 cm
Weight: 36.6kg

Brown Hair, Green Eyes
Fore Assets: Perky B Cups
Aft Assets: Normal Hips, Normal Butt

Truth told, the horndog I am, I was trying to optimize for cup-size until the familiar roll came and my dice trolled me. Naturally if people don't like the familiar bonuses, a lot of things go out of place: She goes up a cup size to a flat C, she gains a few stone and all the speeds need redone.

Queen Bee is a take-off from the historical Beaumont; as with all good callsigns it's not what it seems and is in fact quite snide; while she certainly is bossy, the real reason she's called Queen Bee is because without the help of the rest of the bees, she'd be quite dead. Prefers close ground support with guns; Big fan of the high speed, but she doesn't quite have the handle on low drag.

I'd not be opposed. The problem is that I have a somewhat unstable schedule right now, as well as it being a case of "if you can't find a game, make your own." This means both that I can't GM for shit and I don't know how to GM this.

Yeah. THey're just personal notes atm. I'm as much interested in just trying new stuff with the WHFRPG rules as actually making a SW RPG. If this project moves on/we don't hear from other people I may atempt to adjust and impliment my rules into a new/alternative DitS rendition, but

Perky-C is like the rarest kind of boob there is. Once you start approaching D the overall weight starts catching up to you.

This is assuming we're using standard/European cup sizes. Apparently Japan has a different size system due to their smaller than average statures. If I remember correctly a 34 B-Cup is like a D in Japanese listings.

It takes forever for me too, anon. I'm slow. I just call it a sketch because well, that's what it is; rough, incomplete and just really a way of properly putting some ideas down. Even if by the time I'm finished, I'd realize it's been hours and not actually a lot was done.

Marvelous. 2/2 seem to have come out pretty well.
If you don't mind, could you break down your figuring and rolls for your character traits? age/height/weight/assets? I know you posted your rolls, but I'm not 100% on which of the later go with which.

>>49992315
>>50000980
Both seem to have come out slightly larger and older. This is only in a sample size of 2, obviously, but all the same I'd love it if the two of you, and/or anyone else who makes a character with it, would post/screen-shot some specifics for personal reference. It'd actually be a big help. As much as I want to avoid a squadron of ten year olds, I'm also trying to stay relatively true to the trends of the ip.
>>
>>50001794
Damn right.
>>
>>50001842
-also, I'm very interested in making rules for Tank Witches. Statistically they'd just be notably slower and ground-based, but tougher and capable of carrying heavier ordinance. I'm more than willing to makes some ground rules for them, but digging up info on a dozen different irl tanks per-nation and stating them appropriately is a serious undertaking; which I commend the OP for doing w/ the planes.
>>
>>50001842
>As much as I want to avoid a squadron of ten year olds
Well you made it impossible to start at an age below 13, so you did that. I'd honestly suggest cutting the d10 to a d5 or something.
>>
>>50001842
>age/height/weight/assets
Just to be clear, I am counting WITH familiar bonuses, since familiars are an intrinsic part of a witch. And I realized I misread the height roll, so it's actually 205 cm or 6'9" instead

Age: 9 + 3 + 3 + 8 = 23
Height: (23 x 2) + (41 x 2) + (30 x 2) + 17 = 205 cm
Weight: (207 / 3) + 30 - 30 = 69 kg
Forward Assets: 12 + (3 + 3 + 2) + (23 / 10) - 3 = 19
Aft Assets: 17 + (3 + 3 + 2) + (23 / 10) - 3 = 24
>>
>>50002018
I think rolling for being older at least helps believability, makes it seem somewhat more reasonable for young girls to hold officer ranks, and you at least don't question why a teenager looks like a bombshell.
>>
>>50001842
>>49992315 Here;

Unfortunately I was doing all my figuring using my own dice and in a notepad document when my computer crashed.

I lost everything that wasn't in my post, but a lot of the stuff should be somewhat reverse engineer-able.

A lot of her age came from a hot 1d10 roll IIRC; and since I was somewhat intentionally optimizing for ahem... witchiness... that also had a considerable factor on size. (trolled softly by the way by the familiar roll, which could also have driven up the age to 23 if I had rolled an INT familiar)

In the interest of younger witches I might recommend 2d5 + The smaller of WL or INT bonuses + 7. With a maximum roll of 40 in Int and Will you would still cap out at a 21 year old witch and get solid curves from most stat spreads. If you somehow managed to reach only a 1 bonus; you'd still be bottoming out at 10 years old, which is probably a fair minimum.
>>
>>50002125
Addendum: The average stat spread should result in mostly 15 to 17 year olds.
>>
>>50002101
This is really the wrong setting and property for those concerns, though just cutting the 8 to a 6 or something would still leave the option for grannies while not being quite as out of place and opening up the lower end a little.

I've been considering something similar. Ideally I want the range to cap between 13 and 23, but the dice play too big a roll (*rimshot*) in a lot of figures (*rimshot*) right now, not just age. Most things are going to be adjusted in v2.

>>50002061
>>50002125
Thank you.

Things I want to be in my v.2:
> Better adjusted characteristic calculations
> Adjusted familiar bonuses
> More extrapolated weapon statistics
> Tank Witches*

*I promise you Tank Witches will not be in my v.2; that's a ton of research as stated. v.3 maybe.

One thing I may do is compile OP's generator and the basics of DitS into one document, along with my personal adjustments, so that people don't have to skip around between three documents. Give it a new title or a subtitle or something.

I'd lobby for 11 to 21, but honestly you do good and that's something that's really easy for a GM to change as long as a distribution of some sort is there so it'd be a silly thing to mither about.

Tank Witches would be sweet but yeah, that's really not something you can rush.
