You've got the Red Scorpions who are meant to be loyalist Emperor's Children since their gene-seed is said to be purer than even the Ultramarine's

Silver Skulls are drawn from Iron Warriors loyalist gene-seed

Minotaurs are believed to be loyalist World Eaters

Space Sharks could be Night Lords, maybe

Other than that, Knights Errant or Grey Knights who were originally drawn from the Knights Errant

Well, it's mostly speculation
Nothing is fucking confirmed in 40K because they like to keep it ambiguous

Wouldn't it be painfully obvious when gene seed gets tithed and tested that 'oh hey, this isn't like one of the 7 or so loyalist first founding chapters we normally use to make successors'.

Since really, only Ultras, Dark Angels, Blood Angels, Fists and Scars seem to get many successors.

You'd think freaking World Eater gene seed would be really obvious.

Pretty much everything in this thread seems correct. Having marines that are off the grid would be quite useful for the more clandestine Imperial organisations but not all would be suited to this so they may be absorbed into other legions (which is implied in the case of the Ultramarines) or used as the basis of second founding's.

Unless you didn't know, the Charcaradons have been all but 100% confirmed to be Raven Guard, to the point that their flagship was a Crusade-Era RG ship and their brutality matches with the Terran RG that Corax sent away (for being too vicious)

I could see the Minotaurs being Iron Warrior descendants. The Iron Warriors original homeworld was called Olympia and was obviously based off of Ancient Greece. The Minotaurs having a Hellenic theme and being descended from Iron Warriors makes sense.

I'm 99% sure that the Storm Wardens are canon White Scar descendants. Although they do have a Celtic theme which might fit well with the World Eaters. A lot of gladiators in Ancient Rome were Celt and the World Eaters recruited from all across the galaxy so it could work with their theme.

There are a few novels about a loyalist death guard captain that survives the purges with a few others and gathers a possee of loyalist remnants, they start working directly for malcador and remove all color from their armor, making them the first knights errant, later on becoming the grey knights
