Looking to make a setting with a multitude of factions and races, magic, swords, sorcery, and shotguns.
Specifically, I want to make a setting that's equal parts Wild West as it is traditional fantasy. Kind of like how Fallout: New Vegas equally blended Fallout's kitchen sink nuclear wasteland setting with wild west flair and themes.
Art and discussion thread to help inspire me smar/tg/uys.

Not gonna lie, this picture just makes me want to see some fantasy stuff in the physical terrain of wild west shit.
Like mesas, rivers, trees and the like.

We really don't have enough fantasy landscape art in general. Most of what we do have is just cliche or impractical.
This is actually exactly what my setting is so I'll dump a few of my own reserve.
Have you tried googling Malifaux and Deadlands? Those are both good sources of western/steampunk fantasy blend.

Is this Numenera art?

God yes, the american southwest has the most gorgeous terrain and you never see anything like it in 90% of fantasy landscapes.
I'm running a fantasy western game myself, so I've been collecting tons of art relevant to the area, the era, and the general vibe.

In the middle of brainstorming for a session of Owl Hoot Trail. I think my boss encounter is going to be a round of poker with Ol' Scratch. I'm trying to think what sort of tricks he should have up his sleeve to get a hold of the player's souls.

Yeah I'm in AZ and I fucking love the uniqueness of the terrain along with all the interesting navigation that it creates.
