I think that if nothing else, Star Wars has a breddy cool aesthetic going for the Empire. That OP pic seems to slam home that yes, yes it would look sweet as fuck to smash the two together.

Aesthetically I like it but thematically and conceptually how do you make them different? Just about everything they have other than cloning is used somewhere else in the setting and even then the cloning got ditched by the end of the empire due to the clone rebellion on Kamino.

They honestly would probably play similar to Ultramarines or the Minotaurs.

Strict adherence to order and dogma.

Darth Vader would just play as a Librarian, with cybernetics. Mainly close combat psychic powers.

And of course, media with characters and creators from a specific demographic can only EVER sell, be viewed and enjoyed by that demographic. I'm oriental, and therefore I am forbidden from watching any kind of television aside from anime. Right. Sure, the franchise is shifting with the "totally cool new progressive agenda" (cough CURRENT YEAR cough) but I find it kinda funny that the placement of one characters and a few writers means that didney's suddenly abandoned the neckbeards and kiddies who've kept the thing afloat in spite of the prequels.

Why does everyone make such a big deal about the Fetts? Like, what importance did either of them have apart from the cloning shit (which in itself was only part of the "M-MUH COMPLEX PLOLITIKS" power play of the prequels)? Yeah, yeah, elite bounty hunter and EU badassery, but we all know that doesn't mean shit in the only franchise with power levels as inconsistent as 40k.

Because lets be fair. In the movies, Boba Fett did...his job, he tracked Solo, reported it to Vader, got Han to Jabba, and got his cash. He performs fine as a bounty hunter who gets fucked over by getting blindsided by a strike from behind him.

Where he gets by his that he looks cool and acts pretty fucking chill around some real players. Darth Vader has to remind him NOT to kill his prey and Boba Fett is like "yeah, alright" cool as a penguin's rump.

He's one of those guys that just looked pretty cool and when the fans got the rights to write, they decided he needed to be the coolest shit ever.

Although it is worth noting that pre-Phantom Menace books about Star Wars had it so that Boba Fett was the last CLONE of the Mandalorians, who fought the Jedi in the Clone Wars, that plot was later turned into daddy being the original clone.

Boba Fett had the cool mysterious villain aesthetic down pat, complete with Vader telling him he's a loose cannon with too many disentagrators. Even with him dying like a bitch, he was just too well designed to be forgotten. The EU wank surrounding him and Lucas' Jango nonsense just stems from that.

Though I do like how Clone Wars made him a highly sympathetic character who lived a shit life.
