Anti-Extraction Edition

How do I make a defensive job exciting? I want to set up the PCs with something different for a change of pace, like bodyguarding a C-list celebrity for a couple of weeks, but I don't know how to make it fun. I know that the players won't want to just sit around waiting for something to happen, they'll go haring off after whatever bit of flavour detail I say just for something to do, and cutting right to the assassination attempt makes it just another firefight. I can only string together so many pure RP scenes before they want to actually do some shadowrunning. How can I make a security job interesting, when they don't have a way to reasonably predict where a threat would be coming from?

>I know that the players won't want to just sit around waiting for something to happen, they'll go haring off after whatever bit of flavour detail I say just for something to do
Let them. And then consequences happen. If your players want to be retarded, that's their problem, not yours. As for making it interesting, you could have the principal be a danger to themselves via poor judgment. Especially applicable if they're a celebrity. Demands for drugs, hookers, that one donut at that great cafe across town, whatever. Gives them something active to do.
>>
>>49910643
Investigation of threats pre-'run', aka, you look into who has it in for the primary. Examination of where the run will take place, to try to harden it. Only take >>49910695 's advice if it fits your game's tone.
>>
>>49910643
Shadowrun Dragonfall has a player made run in the workshop called Mercucial where the players end up guarding Maria Mercucial after she switches managers.

The run makes it work because you can do things like try to take out the fucker who is trying to extract against you in the first place.
>>
>>49910713
>How can I make a security job interesting, when they don't have a way to reasonably predict where a threat would be coming from?

From that bit I'm guessing investigation of threats won't go so well. Hardening the safehouse is a good point, though, although I doubt they'll be lucky enough to have the celebrity stay home for a few weeks straight.
>>
>>49910744
Then they need to figure out why they're being hired for protection. Why are there there? Can they offensively run to catch those who are try to take the Primary?

If the Primary wants to leave or move around, they'll need to figure out how to do this without getting them captured or killed (they should get an expense account for this), along with securing the places the Primary will visit.

Sounds like plenty of material to me, Chummer.

I don't want to turn it into a counter-run wetwork deal, where the PCs get the job of protecting someone and immediately turn it into "let's go find and kill some people." I want to try and get them in a situation where they have to think defensively; again, this is about a change of pace from having the PCs always on the offensive. After all, people hire the PCs all the time for jobs, and they aren't immediately hunted down by security forces before they get anywhere close to the actual run. The shadows are big and dark, and though you may know that Johnny C doesn't like Mika M there's no way of knowing what method Johnny would use to hire someone to get at Mika.

I figured something like them looking into the enemies Mika have would turn up that Johnny doesn't like her, that he likes doing big splashy stunts, and he has some ties to the fringes of the Vory. Then they know that Johnny would likely hire Russians, and ask them to whack Mika in a splashy fashion, but not specifically who would be doing the job (unless the Russians fuck up in their own legwork trying to find holes in Mika's security).

I just don't know what else to do to keep them engaged with the work of actually being around to protect Mika, instead of just asking one of the sammies to guard her while the rest of them go out and turn over every rock to find the would-be assassins before they get anywhere near her.

>>49910886
I can't keep up a string of fights for a two-week job, at least not without them turning into samey keepaway.
>>
>>49910991
How about putting on enough pressure that they have to figure out how to find a new safehouse and switch there safely?
>>
>>49910991
More importantly why the hell does the employer not just hire normal guards? There are like 50 companies based around simple security detail.
>>
>>49910991
Matrix attacks could also work. I bet a bunch of appliances could be dangerous if a hacker got free reign of them. So far, we have... occasional attacks, legitimate police raids, the celebrity being a shit, having to move safehouses, and Matrix attacks.

I'm that guy who asked last thread for advice on running my first game. I'm back to check if anybody sees any glaring issues with my idea for the first run.

The stealthy guy in the group has a contact who's a Fixer. ATM I'm planning to start the session with him contacting the group with a job, telling them the Johnson wants something stolen, and to meet him at a diner in downtown Seattle. Johnson tells them that there's a man working on what he believes to be the next step in laser weaponry, and that he wants it, then gives them the address for the guy's apartment, and a basic schedule. He also says they'll get a bonus if its delivered without being fired.

The apartment has windows, so they could enter from the rooftop if they want, but I'm assuming they'll go in from the front door; there's 2 Knight Errant guards outside for most of the day, except for shift changes every 6 hours, and cameras covering most of the floor.
Inside the guy's apartment is a lab, and attached to it as a small vault that he keeps the gun in while he's not working on it, with the door being locked by a keypad.
In addition to the guards outside, an assassin will be in the apartment when they go in, posing as the guy's new girlfriend(he has no idea she's anything more than a cute gal he met while getting his morning soykaf), as a backup measure in case someone gets past the guards outside.

The following is shit the players (probably) won't learn:
The Johnson works for a subsidiary of MCT, the guy works for a subsidiary of Ares. MCT wants the gun so they can start competing with Ares on the Laser Weaponry market. Ares has KE and the assassin there because they want to be sure nobody steals it.
Even if they get the gun and say 'fuck the Johnson', it won't fire, because the single time the guy managed to get it working was a fluke caused by him just stealing parts from a laser rifle. He's more concerned with if they try to pull the trigger than if fires.

Because he's a very low-level employee who managed to impress his boss with his design, and instead of bringing him in-house to finish working on the gun, they're keeping him defended until he's got a working prototype so it can be shown off to other higher-ups, so his boss can earn some credit.
But also because I mapped out his apartment before I realized 'shit, this guy should have some defenses so they can't just walk in and grab it', and finding office maps is hard. Plus, it feels a little too on-the-nose to have them walk into an Ares-owned building in order to steal a prototype laser weapon; the idea is to keep which corps are involved in the run subtle, so they can worry about which corps they've pissed off later.

Is using nightlies of chummer5a worth the effort? I'm still on a full release but there's a bunch of weirdness with it like infrequent crashes when doing anything involving the Depth stat, or crashing any time the implant medic augmentation is added to a character.

Also, is the best way to report these things to just leave repro steps in the crash handler and forget about it?

Okay, so minor confession; I don't actually look at the crash dumps. The crash handler's not my code, the emails don't CC into my mailbox for some reason I haven't bothered to look into, and I generally take the view that if it was a major issue, it'd wind up in the git issue log or you guys would contact me directly.

Generally speaking, there is no practical difference between nightlies and releases from a stability perspective, save that releases USUALLY are USUALLY a stable point. I changed my mind about how to handle infected like six times in three weeks, which meant that if you were using an infected during that period, you'd probably have some stability issues with it.

What makes Seattle such a beloved spot? Does it provide the benefit of a generic backdrop that can fit anything, or is it just nostalgia?
>>
>>49914971

Kind of a big question.

So first of all, I think the original writers had a real kinship with Seattle (from there I think?).

Secondly, Seattle is a decently well known city that isn't the North American "standard" big city location like New York or Los Angeles (which are both basically kaput in Shadowrun)

Third, Seattle has a rich history as the birthplace of grunge and a bunch of punk bands and that forms the spine of a lot of 90s counter culture. That's the basis of all this extreme "Fight the corps, fight the man, row row fight tha powah" thematic junk that happens as a part of Shadowrun.

And lastly, because a lot of writers were putting a lot of work into the finer details of Seattle that meant there was more for GMs to work with, and that meant more people were playing games set in and around Seattle, which meant the writers could add more stuff being reasonably certain people would be interested in it, and the whole thing snowballed so that's why Seattle has so much content and is now basically the typical setting for Shadowruns.

Now I need to make a character who identifies as razorgendered. Someone with a sexless cybertorso complete with a flat, featureless groin plate, packing spurs on both cyberarms and cyberlegs.

They'd be normally completely asexual, but with a borderline-erotic love of combat. Probably some combination of Combat Junkie, Revels in Murder, and Superhuman Psychosis.

Should be a fun joke character, at least. I'll ask my GM if I can put that character on our crew's B Team - the freelance affiliates who we call in to replace party members who are too injured to participate, or if main party members have skillsets incompatible with a specific run.

His Runner name is Slinky. He was designed as a super slippery infiltration expert, with lots of agility and dexterity. In his first big mission with the group, he got tazed hardcore, and, long story short, ended up going down a few flights of stairs, one step at a time, just like a slinky.

His real name was Drake Cullen

Real name is Henry Milne, doesn't really use it 'cause Ares has records of such a security specialist working for one of the tiny corps they took over some time ago.

Runs as "Setup" due to the fact that he's pretty autistic about preparation, timing and setting up drone turrets whenever possible. Started as "Securack", but the name was soon changed due to being too long to shout under fire and a mistimed joke about progress bars.

Any advice for playing a mage in 5e? I've played some back in 3e and a couple of games in 5e so I've got much of the basic shit down, I've just not played a mage.

Are combat spells any good in general? I mean you can take a combat spell places you cant take a gun but if I'm in some kind of serious combat should I be using them or guns?

Anything that's a must have or a really good idea to have? Sustaining foci seem fantastic. Anything specific I should take: equipment spell or other options?

How do mages deal with initiative? I remember before playing if you didn't have at least two turns a round you were going to get shot to death a lot. Mages don't seem to have a lot of options for boosting speed outside of spells (that need to be sustained).

Are there many practical differences between mage and shaman? I've only noticed one so far (different stats used for some things). Are there still spirit animals or something that I'm missing somewhere or should I just play the one who's flavor feels appropriate?

(sorry for the pile of questions)
>>
>>49917959

> Any advice for playing a mage in 5e?

Grab Heal, Levitate, Imp. Invisibility, Improve Reflexes, a direct combat spell and an indirect combat spell. Grab a gun. Grab a non-wizardish looking armor. Grab magesight goggles. Then just spice it up with whatever you like.

> Are combat spells any good in general?

It depends.
Knocking out a heavily armoured dude with stunbolts is fun, and a well dropped stunball or some kind of elemental AoE spell can occasionally trivialize an encounter. Generally, though, it is better to stick to guns - and you should carry one anyways, so as not to show everybody how much of a mage you are.

> Anything that's a must have or a really good idea to have?
> How do mages deal with initiative?

Sustaining foci for improved reflexes. You can also consider drugs; the safest ones shouldn't cause a spiral of addiction, provided you won't overdo them, and if your tradition is a WIL based one, you will generally be able to make your rolls.

Also, reagents. Spirits are super useful, and having some reagents to burn allows you to use them more often and while taking less drain.

> Are there many practical differences between mage and shaman?

Drain stats.

> Are there still spirit animals

Check for mentor spirits. Every tradition has access to them.

Whoops

I haven't played Shadowrun for half a year
>>
>>49917959

This guy >>49918049 pretty much covered everything.

Download Street Grimoire if you're gonna be a mage, because it's got a lot of good stuff. Namely, a shit load more traditions besides Hermetic Mage and Shaman.

Each tradition can only summon 5 various spirits, also, each spirit is associated with a School of magic (Combat, healing, manipulation, etc.).

Beyond that 'what' you are doesn't really matter beyond the drain stat (Its willpower + one other mental stat).

The exception to this is the Vodou and Qabbalistic traditions, which use Possession instead of materialization. This means the spirit can't manifest into a spirit thing in the real world, but instead, possesses a physical thing. When possessed, the thing is controlled by the spirit (So a person would not be in control of themsevles), the thing gets a bonus equal to, like, 1/2 force of the spirit (not 100% sure, it's been a while), and then the spirit can still do all its normal spirit things from that body. I'd stay away from these traditions until you're already comfortable with mages.

Also, as a bit of a Gentalmen's rule, do NOT take "Turn to Goo" because it's wayyyyy overpowered. Stay away from Opium Den as well, because it can make things really weird.

Finally, remember how drain works: Every spell has a Drain Code which is typically the Force of the spell, plus or Minus a number.

Example: Flamethrower has a Drain code of F-3, so, if you cast this at force 6, you would then take 3 drain. The drain is either Stun or Physical, based upon how many hits you have. If the number of hits is less than or equal to your magic, its stun damage. More, and it's physical.

The limit to all spells is the Force (So if you set it to force 3, you can't get more than 3 hits). The exception is with Reagents which can raise the limit.

Finally, you can't have less than 2 drain on a spell. Punch has a Force code of F-6, but if you cast at Force 4, you still will take 2 drain.

I disagree. The decker and mage, with their STR 2 noodle arms, will benefit from the RC of a gas-vent far more often than the sammy, especially if the former are just spraying bullets to cover the real hitter. It's not necessary-necessary, but it's cheap enough to get some basic work done on the gun (especially if someone on the team can install it) that no using them is handicapping yourself. Mods make the sammy go from great to phenomenal, but they can also bump up a lousy shooter to the worthwhile category.

>>49919367

in 5e, you ignore recoil. Suppressive fire isn't just holding down and firing wildly, you are using, quote,

>a combination of controlled and fully automatic bursts focused over a narrow area and directed at anything that moves.

So, because they are controlled bursts, and not trying to hit a specific target, your recoil compensation isn't factored in at all. Roll Dice, apply debuff.

Does anyone here let their mages Initiate during Character Creation? Like, they have to use their karma for it anyways.

problem I see for it is that at chargen you have a lot more karma at your disposal than in play. So what might take 2-3 runs just for the karma to initiate first time you can get instantly.

Also remember that there should be an initiation quest, meaning that they can just buy the ranks without doing anything

>>
>>49919920
More important than the two dice is this: inside a corp there's going to be next to nobody hacking your stuff because most of the hacking security is going to be inside the local host and thus unable to see your stuff or hack it.

And the guys that are outside are either just there to annoy (read people with dongle-ed comms) or more likely to just try and sneak enough marks on your comms to be able to overhear and/or track depending on how high end of a place you're going to go after.

Now if you have a team coming after you, they might mess with your gear like that, but you probably have bigger issues than somebody messing with or trying to brick your smartgun.
>>

>>
>>49920086
You'll still want your stuff running silent, because it's basically no penalty to you.

But even the guys outside the host aren't going to just hack at something they see around the perimeter. No sense risking damage to your deck/comm or giving the guy a mark on you (and thus letting 'em see you instantly) if they're not your problem yet and might not be.
>>
>>49920343
They aren't possibly going to attempt hacking, but they're going to know you're there.
>>
Yekka, if you initiate during chargen, even if you had 6 magic before it and initiate 6 times, Chummer won't let you raise magic above 7. Even if you have Exceptional Attribute: Magic, it stilll doesn't.
>>
>>49920762
If they get the right icon and succeed at the Matrix Perception roll, yes. They will know that an icon is out there, and possibly what the icon is for.

But that's not too helpful beyond being able to later do stuff. You can't really track 'em through an icon without hacking, because they might just park their Persona and all its icons outside. And in matrix space, that means that it's not going to appear to move and in AR vision that may help you find the person, but it's not an automatic thing. They'd still have to find you in meatspace, using meatspace skills.

And how much easier or harder that is would depend on how you're getting in the place.
>>
>>49921018
They're going to know there's a breach which is enough to screw things over for you. And they're going to succeed in that matrix perception test since no infiltrator has enough knowhow in the matrix to properly defend against it.
>>
>>49921159
How do they know there's a breach? Again, they see an icon, but don't know where it is (unless they're actively looking at the device to which the icon belongs, but that's a different situation entirely, as is hacking to find the icon in meatspace) and if you call every time you find a running silent icon outside 100 m, then you're going to be calling a whole lot and for a lot of false alarms.

Especially if it's a common icon that you find.

Also, the opposing roll is Log+Sleaze. Log is going to be middle-ish because there's Hermetics to account for. Sleaze isn't super-high, but dongles on comms and the decker's support can both bring that up. Also you can be on the Public Grid to worsen the security's chances by two dice. (If you for some reason know that security's going to be on the Public Grid, then you can make it -4 by being on a different grid.)
>>
>>49921301
>Also you can be on the Public Grid to worsen the security's chances by two dice
Probably a different one, 'cause Public Grid imposes a -2 for all matrix actions
>>
>>49921510
Yeah. But in just about all cases, the security for a corp isn't going to be on the public grid, because that's an automatic -2 for their searches.

And if they are, then, well, again. If they're on the public and you're not, that's -4 dice.

However, I mostly said Public Grid because it's a different grid that everyone has access to regardless of other stuff and has few downsides for the non-hacker, non-matrix searching runner.

>a razorgendered murdersexual

>>
>>49919268
The face/decker/mage are mostly likely going to mod their weapons to have a suppressor, a personalized grip, and a smartgun system that's either internal or external depending on how clunky they're willing to let their gun look.

They don't need an absolute fucking ton, but that's just some basic accuracy stuff that you should expect literally anyone to have on a gun they actually intend to use sometimes and keep afterwards - rather than just carry to be menacing, or something you intend to discard - and a suppressor because you don't want to be fucking noticed.

They'll typically gravitate towards guns that already have those features standard, of course. An Ingram Smartgun - with its integral smartgun system and suppressor - is an obvious choice that automatics-using non-combat characters tend to love, because the only non-standard feature they need is a personalized grip, and maybe electronic firing for serious whisper work.

They're not going to kit it to hell and back with improved rangefinders, gyro mounts/bipods, foregrips, or tricked-out optical scopes, but certain basics are just good for anyone who's not retarded to have, regardless of how much of a /k/ommando they are.

Yeah, that's actually the approach I'm gonna try now but I can tell it's gonna be wonky as fuck for a number of reasons because of the game's nature when it comes to drones and riggers

Alright /srg/,

A major movie studio is making a Shadowrun movie. What story do they choose to tell and who plays Harlequin because obviously that jerk will have to show up for nerd cred?
>>
>>49924957
Honestly, they should just make it be a 3D CGI. Would make for better looks for like, everyone.

Tell a story in Seattle about a rent-a-cop who is forced to take the fall for Lonestar's failure to protect some Saeder Krupp asset and then he was to work with a generic ass group of Shadowrunners to get the item back or Lowfy eats his ass or something.

Or just make Dragonfall into a movie.

Problem, then, is deciding what else I could have them steal from an Ares employee.
>>
>>49925945
-Data
-The critical newly designed component for the laser (like the first functioning grown biocrystal) rather than a complete prototype
-the new design for the Ares Victory blazer to have the Chinese knock-offs churn out fakes before it even hits the market
-A mcguffin from Shiawase that Ares stole
-The ergonomic grip design they were going to use on the Predator VI
-A drone actuator
-A tougher spring for a tank's auto loader.
Etc.

Ask your GM if you can get access to Esprit “Petite Brume” Grenades. They impose movement and visual penalties for creatures acting in the Astral. Not hugely significant, but it can help slow your enemies down a bit. Generally speaking you're fucked though. Your sole benefit is that the Natural Weapon power allows you to attack Astral targets with Unarmed Combat using your physical attributes, so if you can get close enough to hit them you can do some damage.

So, /srg/, I'm considering doing a spooky run for my group next week, since we'll (probably) be playing on Halloween.

How does one go about doing 'spooky' in Shadowrun? I've considered just throwing them in a dark building with a Vampire, but that feels like it'd end way too quick(they have a lot of guns); a Dzoo-noo-qua might work, considering it could be tanky as fuck, but I'm not entirely sure if 'trapped with a troll vampire' is actually going to spook anybody, anyways.

The other idea I had was to have them get ambushed by Gargoyles, or something, but I dunno how to execute that or how to take it from that point to something that's actually spooky and not just 'oh no, another combat'

Corporate SIN can be fun if the PC acts as a spy for the corp, not revealing his true nature to the party, and is prepared to be instagibbed if someone ever finds out.
Data Liberator was handled pretty well in Dragonfall, where a network of Data Liberators hire you to do side objectives during your run and bring them the paydata. They would reward you for it, though.

Not really, I'm not sure if there's actually a way to do flaming swords and the like in Shadowrun (though there should, you could rework Enchanting to do something like that given how useless it currently is). >>49934283
Foci and Alchemy are different things. Quick explanation 101:

Foci are created with the Enchanting skill, and are long-term magic constructs. You want to carry around a magic sword that lets you fight better and stab spirits? You use a Weapon Foci. You want a torc that makes you gofast? Spell Foci (Health Sustaining) for Improved Reflexes. etc. They work as describes in >>49934248. Pretty much every mage and adept is going to get some over time.

Alchemy are (very) short-term items, made with the Alchemy skill. They work like a scroll in D&D- you put a spell into it at creation, later on you trigger the item, the spell goes off. There's a few different varieties of trigger, from a command work spoken by the mage, to a contact trigger that goes off when anything with an aura goes near it, to a time delay, etc. Pain in the ass to make, of limited use; niche build only.

>>49934390
There is no 'Sword on Fire' spell, though. You could do something like a Spellcasting Foci (Combat) and use that to help you cast Flamethrower, but it's less than ideal to try and do with 1 MAG. I'd recommend going either Adept with Elemental Body and punching guys with firefists, or Mystic Adept channelling magic through a sword-shaped focus. Dipping into Magic for 1 point is not worth it, because it means that you'll be incredibly shitty at using magic and all drain will be physical damage.
>>
>>49934390
To have a fire sword, you'll need to be an Adept, and for the weapon focus to also come with a Qi Focus (probably built into the grip) which itself is powerful enough to provide some kind of Elemental Weapon power.

Which means you'll need to be at least Magic 2. You can only have a number of Foci attuned equal to your Magic rating.

I only have experience with the 3 Returns games on PC, does the matrix before the crash usually look like that or does it have the same artistic, full-color freedom as 5th edition wireless matrix?
>>
>>49934747
If anything, it's the opposite.
The pre-Crash Matrix is fluff-wise described to be extremely detailed and varied, and plenty of older sourcebooks describe locations and hangouts in great detail. The Returns Matrix isn't the Matrix that most people use in their daily lives - it's mostly composed of corporate, public and business nodes and thus is kind of plain by default. It's of course also to streamline the graphics design.
The average Matrix node is if anything going to be even more detailed before the Crash, since it's much more of a part of everyone's lifestyle, is trusted enough for even the average user to invest effort into it and has more history.
The post-Crash Matrix would be characterized more by by-the-books corporate rebuilding efforts, blank/default nodes made by people who don't want to lose hundreds of hours of work in another Crash and nodes that are detailed but haven't taken the same chaotic path of development as the pre-Crash Matrix.
You need to remember that the Crash 2.0 is to the Matrix what CFD was to cyberware. It's a gamist decision from the design team that's intended to cripple the cyberpunk aspect of the game so that magic users can feel more at home in the plot. It just ended up going too far, and by now the lore and plot-changing powers are locked away with Awakened, who can do just short of everything on their own while the poor cyberpunk characters are paying out their ass for inferior equipment because of NANOBOTS, Crash shenanigans and CGL trying to redo 4e's Matrix travesty in a slightly more subtle way.

>I'm not even sure you can have two foci in one object.
As long as it's two separate objects assembled into one thing, it's fine.

For example, if the bland-and-tang are the weapon focus, and the crosspiece (a completely separate piece) is the qi focus, and the grip is a mundane ergonomic grip? That's three objects (two foci) assembled into a single weapon.

That's really splitting hairs, man. You can take just about anything and break it down into component parts. It's the same line of thinking that leads to magic guns, because you're just enchanting the barrel, which is only a metal tube and not mechanical or technological at all.

And from a magical perspective, a weapon foci is supposed to be a melee weapon, not just the cutting part. If you separate the blade from the handle, neither piece can really be used as a weapon. It's a holistic thing.

Personally, I'd ask the GM about enchanting the sheath as the Qi focus, because I love the idea of it painting fire onto the blade as it's drawn.
>>
>>49935157

So the Qi Focus doesn't necessarily need to be anything related to the weapon then? That makes things simpler, though now that I think about it, having ornaments attached to a weapon to change what magical powers it has kinda makes it sound like a keyblade and now I want to play a keyblade adept.

Weapon Foci are the only things that require a specific item, irrc, and Qi foci are often tattoos because adepts=internal magic. For the rest
> The physical form of a focus varies—bracelets, amulets, belts, wands, walking sticks, staves, cups, bottle caps, daggers, hats, hip flasks, pens, and so on and so forth—although most of the time a focus reflects the tradition of its maker.

Is there a way for in a manner of speaking, commanding my drones like they are squadmates for a game like Rainbow Six Vegas 2? That is to say that I say something like "doberman drone with assault rifle, you suppress the enemy while ares duelist drone and I flank." Am I reading the book correct that I can do that, the drone just needs to roll their pilot rating times 2 threshold how difficult the command is?

As far as I can tell that's accurate, though the test is really required for unusual situations, in your example, it would break down into:

>Doberman: shoot at target area, prevent hostile movement, don't shoot rigger or ally Duelist
>Duelist: follow rigger, attack rigger's targets

When you look at it like that, it's all fairly simple even for a dog-brain to understand. Even still, it's probably best to slave them to an RCC and use that to give out the orders, that way you can mark targets and give orders via AROs.

It loses a fraction of themystique if they are not a lab created pepsilife form.

Also, mostgms have more of a problemwith pepsi man than prototype transhuman anyway.

Don't worry about that anon, I do have an RCC. From what I was reading the drones would just be acting the orders out in initiative order however, so if I blitzed to go first, we could do serious damage before our enemies acted theoretically

Be simple. Play a mute whose bareskin is never showed. Who is he? What is he?
What the hells a pepsi anyway?

Make them wonder.

Yeah it has to be in initiative order, you can't make the drones act before their turn, though given the fact that drones roll 3d6 by default for initiative, they can act pretty quickly.
>>
>>49935753
Drones have their own initiative. If you blitzed to go first, you'd guarantee being able to make they have the correct orders, that's about it. Otherwise they'll either wait with no orders, or continue whatever their previous orders were.

Do personality modules help with that or are they just for riggers who want to talk to their drone pals?

where are the cute female orks though

Dragonheart saga. I wrote a trailer for it and everything, right down to scenes that aren't in the movie that are in the trailer.

I just looked at the section, and it doesn't really say that the telesma can't already be a focus, so in theory you could layer effects on the one foci, you'd need an appropriate formula, but if the GM permits there's nothing to stop you. Hell there's a option in chummer to create combined foci, though that's probably left over from 4e.
