The berserkers are a very old kit. Compared to modern marine models, the hands are much too big and the pauldrons are too small. You can sometimes get away with using chest pieces, legs, or heads if you are willing to do a lot of shaving and filing.

I turned 50 of the 60 marines from BaC into the following Imperial Fists:

3x 10-man Veteran Tactical squads w/ 2 Heavy Bolters per squad
1x 10-man Phalanx Warder squad
6x Marines w/ Missile Launchers (enough for a Heavy Support choice)
2x Marines w/ Melta Guns (to swap into the Veteran Tactical teams in place of Heavy Bolters if needed)
2x Marines w/ Plasma Guns (as above)

So I still have 10 Mk 4 marines unassembled and awaiting their fate. I have 21 marines with bolters, more than enough for a full non-Veteran Tactical Squad so I don't need more tacticals. I've been considering getting some of those cool bolters with the scopes from Forge World, green-stuffing some cloaks, and turning those 10 marines into Seekers since BS 6 Imperial Fist Seekers w/ special ammo will be disgusting.

The 90 marines from BoP will probably become 2 full 20-man tactical squads of Iron Warrior loyalists and once those are done I'll have a plan for the remaining 70.

The biggest offenders would probably be the keys hanging on his belt. Those are (usually) keys to the chapter's Librarium, and Librarians were not responsible for a chapter's lore-keeping and paperwork until after the heresy I think.

I think it depends what you'll do with them. If you want to keep all your dudes in the Rhino, having two heavy bolters shooting out of it would be nice. But if you want to outflank, disembark, and bolt the shit out of a unit then the squads probably gonna explode the next turn anyway. If you're running 3 squads of Vets that's 120 points. You could buy a whirlwind Scorpius with that.

Legs are still useful, though the running ones might need some adjusting to not look like tipping over. Torsos are fine and add some variety to units. Helmets are perfectly usable, if you don't want to get FW ones. It's really the arms and the backpacks that are horrible.

The one with the left leg on the groun is good as is, just angle the other leg a little. The other leg really just needs to be modeled so that it's coming down heel first, which gives it a much more of a running stance.

I used the two when making a unit of MkVI assault marines, because I liked the little more decorative pieces on them (nothing overly Chaotic) and they were way cheaper than Assault Squad MkVI legs.

I have no idea where people got the "MkV was named as such after the Heresy to designate all the plethora of custom suits slapped together." If it's after the Heresy, why the fuck is the MkVi and VII the numbers they are, even during the Heresy? Or why aren't all custom suits MkV?

"Production" MkV is also supposed to he a slap-dash job made as quickly as possible with cheap-ass materials. MkV refers to any armor present during the heresy that was made at the last minute with any possible materials, including the infamous "mix and match" armor sets worn by some legionnaires who had to scavenge for replacement parts.

Except it's uncomfortable, heavy, weak rear armour to compensate for the heavy front armour, etc. There's a reason no legion nor chapter made it their primary suit, it was not suited for all roles.

Also, MkI and MkII were retroactively named as such. Back on the day probably they were just called Standard Issue Power armour and Sealed Power Armour, because there were just those.
Also, MkVI took too long on developement and was originally meant to be MkV, so there's that to consider.
