Sup /tg/, what kind of music do you guys use for your campaigns? I'm starting a jungle-based survival campaign, and I don't really have much music for it.
Forgot to post some of the ones I use often.

i use Wiedźmin 3 ost
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGwJBKm5glQ
We don't use a lot of music, just some ambient background appropriate to wherever the party is.
If music is playing it's because a character's making that happen, be it via instrument, voice or tape player.
I like video game soundtracks, but I have a few film soundtracks in there too. Video game soundtracks tend to be better though as background music as they are less intrusive.
games:
witcher series
risen
dragon age origins
guild wars
elder scrolls series
as for film soundtracks my two usuals are:
conan (the schwarzenegger one)
kingdom of heaven

And top it of with the Turok one as well
Here's a few osts/tracks I like to use for ambiance/combat:
Sunless Sea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbRxL5Opf3U
Abe's Oddysee: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsjxPYHsOhg
Darkest Dungeon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=on-xvGdFTIU
A good portion of the tracks in Abe's Oddysee might have the most of that natural sort of ambiance you might be looking for in a jungle campaign out of the three.
Maybe you can help me my friends
Starting tomarrow i'm playing a paladin of a goddess of song and dance, while i'm planing on fluffing his fights as "sword dance" i'm wondering if anyone has any songs he can belt out while smiting the wicked or just as they travel on down the road. can be setting-fitting (march of the cambreadth) or anything that can fit with a little adapting (Manowar or Nightwish)
it would be a big help to make him feel a lil more in character.

couple instances of "tehran to tennessee" but other than that the lyrics at least are fairly setting-agnostic
but maybe I'm reading your character wrong

Anyone have any good generic combat music? Not too imposing, can be used for different situations, no crazy chorus, but keeps things tense/dramatic? I used a lot of tracks from the Call of Juarez series for a western game, but I'm starting a more traditional fantasy game now and can only find a handful of songs that fit that bill.
>>49853449
awesome pieces and half those are going on my music player, but i'm more looking for things with lyrics. For example imagine
*The words come clear and loud from under his helmet as he charges in at the hobgoblins*
Oh axes slash broadswords swing!
*a blow turned aside, his voice never faltering even as his blade arcs to cleave flesh and bone*
Shining armor's peircing ring!
Horses run with a polished shield!
*he drives his holy-symbol etched kite shield into the face of another enemy, before following it up with a downward stroke*
Fight those bastards till they yield!
Midnight mare and blood-red roan fight to keep this land your ooown!
*the remaining slavers look at each other, this lunatic was singing, SINGING a bloody song like some spoony bard in a tavern while he was fighting.*
Sound the horn and call the cr-yyy!
*the bandits part as their leader pushed forward, burly and brutal, the morning star in his hand blood as he roared at the stranger in armor who smiles under his helm*
How many of them can we make die.
i'm no writefag but i hope that gives some indication.

Glad you like them. Hope your jungle campaign goes well.

My apologies, though I'm glad you enjoyed some of them. Not too many songs I can think of singing while in the middle of slaughter, except for one, though its mainly a joke song:

I wouldn't recommend it though, since you'd more than likely fall because of it.

Also if you're looking for generic music ranging from battle to tense feeling music and so on, I'd recommend looking into some of Kevin Macleod's stuff. He does a little bit of everything that you can find on youtube and his Incompetech website:

Heres one I got for ya, I know its a little generic but it worked for me. might post some more later as I dig through my library.

Anybody got any good western fight scene stuff? I can find a million amazing songs to build suspense pre-fight but nothing to play during the actual fight.
Here's some suspense building stuff while I'm here.
This one's pretty strictly western

And this ones good for a helluva lot (skip the first 23 seconds)

Used this one for a duel against a vexed former lover of one of the PCs, great fight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2atlpj7AGXU
fuck it, I'm dumping a lot of stuff now.
This is what I play whenever the players are doing legwork, setting stuff up for a mission or a run or whatever.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4Onk-f8bFA
Yoshida Bros are great for eastern themed battle music
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzrWG9gu0W8
Have some good fight music for cyberpunk frankensteining abominations. very niche but I'm sure they're good for other stuff.

enough fight music though, Beastie boys has some good background music for an urban setting

But like I said, I need western fight music. also, if anybody has any requests I'll see what I have.
I really like using and listening to this:
This song can be used for a soundtrack dissonance effect and or feels.
Like it can be played when fighting in a battle, it can be for a scenario where you fight a victorious battle, or valiantly fighting a losing battle till the very end.
Plus you gotta love how the melody changes to be slower and lower-noted at 2:27 compared to 1:21. I love how the song changes throughout.

Just read your post, I'll check out the Juarez OST now. thank you for anticipating my request, your prescience is appreciated.
I need music for a space fantasy campaign based around Hindu and Buddhist aesthetics.

no no apologies needed, the Highland King one is great, i'm a huge fan of celtic music, and the fire emblem one made me kinda nostalgic.
But not just in battle but as they travel down the road his voice lifted in joyful song, the clop of his horses hooves serving as a improvised metronome, letting the good folk who hear him know that he's nearby and also maybe make someone reconsider doing evil since they know he's nearby.
He's going to be an elf raised by not-german humans if that helps at all.

You can use the soundtrack of Pillars of Eternity like Matt Mercer does on Critical Role.
If your setting is a bit more high fantasy, I suggest looking into the OST of Child of Light or even Ori and the Blind Forest.

For jungle music in "After the Bomb" games I used a combonation of nature sounds rain forest and peruvian flute music tracks.
My new bands for atmosphere is Cryo Chamber, Kall, Musica Chulhiana, Noctilucant, and Konau. Ive been playing a lot of creepy/horror centric settings.
