I get that it's easier to have the lightning claws have to be glued on so you don't have to have two different arm types for power fists and lightning claws, but it still seems weird to me.

So, the Wolves, Custodes and Silent Sisters. Where's Kasper Hawser the skjald? Going to have to paint an IG guy in Wolves livery to represent him.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the SoS have access to at least 4 flamers, 4 bolters and 4 swords.

We seem to only have pics of 2 out of the 3 sprues that make the SoS.

I also don't understand why they have 10 heads? 1 Sergeant type head and 9 normal heads. Some heads have holes and some have lines in the face plate, different types of SoS?

Because it they are the signature armors of the Great Crusade. Despite the development of MkIV-VI during the end of the Crusade and through the Heresy, MkII and III armor appeared in every Legion's armory and many marines had those sets of armor with bits of others added on, rather than the other way around.

For someone interested in doing a 30k era force, the MkIVs from Betrayal at Calth are nice, but these are perfect.

I have to give credit where it's due, GW has really been making an effort to turn things around since Kevin Rountree took over as CEO. I didn't have a lot of confidence in him - he's been a fixture in the company's executive management for over a decade and I figured that he'd just be another handpuppet for Tom Kirby to continue running things on the sly despite the shareholders' obvious lack of confidence in him, but he's actually been bringing some business sense back to a company that's been notably without any since maybe 2002.

Age of Sigmar was already baked into the cake and there wasn't anything anyone could've done about it but Start Collecting!, Kill Teams, and the sheer amount of STUFF in the Horus Heresy series, if not the concept of making it plastic, itself, is all due to the change in management.

I like them because they look very medieval, they really emphasise the whole "Knights in space" side of the marines. The helmets particularly remind me of the greathelms of the crusaders, which is a more than apt comparison.
