The ability to create magical materials; similar to how Animus 2-3 lets you create and alter existing beings to becoming magical, I'd like see an equivalent power or update to an already existing one. (Check the text on that power as well, both levels 2 & 3 have 'allows you to grant a minor ability to any animal')

Also, Rolling ITT for Fool has got to go. It doesn't matter if they lie and say they got 12 points; rolling itt is unacceptable.

Lastly, can you make men into women and make succubi (male) with Animus 3? Humans are animals, and I've been wondering if you can use the alteration properties on them.

You cant change the gender of a living being but you can make it look slightly different or change its temperament.

You could change carnivores into omnivores or a violent person into a peaceful one.

You can alter Humans.

For your purposes, it would be easier to simply create a new race that appears Human. This would give you the ability to control almost everything about them.

One more post: I don't think you've realized the implications of Yaga's universe travelling power. Insofar as I understand the setting, Incarnates are similar to the Navigators of 40k in that only they are able to understand how to travel to other universes using magic and using the God Gates to travel to other worlds within a given universe. Yaga's power lets her completely subvert their role. You might say that she keeps such information about the ritual secret, but like, she only got it in the first place because she's a crafty hag. The multiverse can pump out many more crafty hags than I think you realize. She doesn't ever have to release the information to anyone else before it's independently discovered by someone who wishes to share.

Is it possible to make Humans into beings that can grow plants using their bodies, and absorb the materials/energy created by photosynthesis to later use? I'm not asking about creating beings that can do that, I'm asking about humans. I'm asking if I could make someone magical, here.

It fills up the thread with empty one-word posts that don't contribute at all. It's completely unnecessary given that they can simply type 'dice' or 'roll dice' into google and get a D6. Try it: Google gives you a D6 to roll. They have that now.

Incarnates are not the only ones.

Prime Angels, Everlasting Dragons, and certain Gods can also traverse the multiverse. The Dark One and Father of Beast can too.

This may seem like a lot but there are only 64 Prime Angels and merely a handful of Gods. No one knows how many Everlasting Dragons there are because they are so illusive.

Incarnates are special because they do have this power but they arent exactly the only ones.

The power level of the player seems really unbalanced compared to everything else.

For example, a lot of the drawbacks (notably Pursuers, Traitor!, Enslaved, and arguably a few Bad Bloods) are hard countered by several powers barring extremely contrived circumstances that your other twenty-seven-or-more power points can fix. The most egregious offender is Charisma II - AKA "mind rape, no save, no immunity"

I'd recommend toning down the strength of some of the stronger powers by a little bit (Charisma, Shapeshifting, Miracles/Occultist, potentially Animus).

The power system could use a little reworking, too; maybe increase the cost of higher level powers to 1/3/6 as suggested a few threads ago and making a few of the weaker or more basic powers (Immunity I, a weaker version of Prodigy to fix health defects, some portion of Survivalist, etc.) Free Powers.

Nope. As just "some guys have put an explosive collar on you", Enslaved can be countered by Density Control, Fated (to be freed very soon), Ouroboros, Ruin, Charismatic, Alchemist, Berserker, Evolve, Mind Control, Regeneration and/or Toughness, or Key Mind. Any one of those. It's basically a free point for most builds.

And several other drawbacks have similar flaws - particularly that a few Patrons are inherently vulnerable to Charismatic, which, again, is like Mind Control but better and cheaper.

Not the same guy but charisma 2 has no stated limitations on who it works for, and mind control 3 only has incarnates as immune (no angels, demons, old ones, etc). I disagree that cost of powers should be increased however the power level is fine. It is indeed high but it is supposed to be. Like its supersoldier progenitor some people really don't like how easy it is to get lots of lvl 3 powers. That being said many of the powers may need clarifications and limitations.

The fated power states we have 500 words to state our fate, so the escape is not that costly. The power is really neat but knowing what the limitations are is difficult, and to me it does not encourage a write up but a cold calculated list of sentences that provide opportunities for power.

I didnt really want to include every single creature that happens to be immune or resistant to mind control in the description. Its not an instant win button.

Im not sure I want to rewrite half of the powers to make them seem balanced. You can just fill the gaps in yourself. Obviously you cant mind control Prime Angels to do your bidding.

Yes, followers could be converted. Patrons can even be convinced to help or join you if you are a good enough talker and have solid reasons for them to do it.

Nothing is impossible but things like that do require a lot of effort.

You cant turn a Patron into a willing slave however you can influence them with your tongue somewhat.

Again, Drawbacks are not suppose to be death sentences OR free points. I say each of them can be over come with enough time and effort.

The premise of the game is that me and 99 other people need to kill each other to become a god. We have to assume they are power gaming fucks. So balancing power gaming with an RP tool is tricky. If it is totally an RP tool I don't know that its our "best power". The our fate alone makes sense but is tricky because other beings are involved in most any fate. Killing the strongest thing alive mean it is fated to meet us. I personally agree that it is cheating yourself but the power is definitely exploitable.

Most are robotic. Some are mortal cultist that worship it. Others are powerful beings that act as servants out of fear. Some have willingly allied themselves to it because they predict it will beat everything else.

Mostly the Incarnates are the valued followers, The A.I. is pretty cold and indifferent to all others and will spend their lives for strategic victories.

Some suggestions (as opposed to complaining).

Change either the Dragon Acolyte or the quest reward so that they align better (or explained). At the moment the companion has several powers the reward doesn't (immortality, no need for sleep, food, air, and his scales are immune to fire). His breath is fire breath while we get crystal breath (ours seems better).

More patrons

One for those of the smart evil persuasion (Dark One is a bad idea and every one knows it and AI and Other require changing in ways we might not want). A biological rival to the AI that wants to infect the universe. A magic option of some kind.

A little more info on the AI's reward might be helpful as well. Are we a mess of nano-bots, an android, a synth? And does it conflict with anything else (dragonoid form, angel transfusion, nano transfusion, or any other superpowers we might be able to give ourselves).

Reward for Conquering King should have some tangible combat benefit.

Immortality, Reincarnation, Ghost, Watcher, and Relife are in the same universe as the one you died. For those who have attachments to their current reality, one of these might appeal.
Heaven is peace and bliss without having to put any effort into it.
Dream World puts you in a world sculpted for you, rather than you having to do it all yourself.
Empty World... I honestly don't see the appeal in that, so I dunno.

With God, you become the universal programmer of a new universe, meaning you start with nothing but power and an empty canvas. You could try to make copies of your loved ones, but even if you do a great job of it, you'd always know in your heart that they aren't the same. If your rules and laws have unintended consequences, it's up to you to sort things out. In my own headcanon, everyone gets a Arcana/spirit gift and the associated rewards/demerits. Basically, think of it like the Houses in the Malazan series. Incarnates are split off like that, but only for each set of one hundred. Like there are only 100 shards of the Original Lover, along with the accompanying Demiurge, and so on. Basically, ALL Incarnates are legendary Heroes and Kings. There are also as many Houses/Spirit Gifts/etc as there are Universes. So you never know what you're going to face.

Plague can wreak incredible amounts of havoc in the right setting. Take for example the Nanite quest, if you have scanner, why not just create an air-borne virus that melts down silicone or whatever they're made of? Or maybe the Nanites that are turning people into robots? Survivalist is pretty useful as well for resisting Nuclear etc radiation and the vacuum of space.

Endurance is a questionable pick only if you have Energy Attack + Elementalism. That's two points, yo. Granted they offer a fair amount, but still. Toxin could be rolled into Plague, agreed. Immunity seems okay as-is.

Can't speak for anyone else, but what I want first and foremost is an interesting setting. I think that and the ability to experience it to it's fullest is what drives most of my builds(at least the first one I make for a CYOA)

I've never really wanted to rule as either king, god or god-king (would get very boring, very quickly) and I don't really feel the need to become a beat cop when offered amazing powers so 'great responsibility' can go jump off a bridge. I want power and an interesting setting. This is generally speaking.

I want a system in which your power is balanced compared to others. You are a force, but not invincible. It should allow you to choose between various powers and effects, with them all being on the same level as other choices. 'Just' power is not fun, it needs to be elaborate, imaginative and should inspire fantasizing. All those things you listed are dull and uninspiring.

The setting should be a world or environment that inspires imagination about exploring or living in it. Not just interesting places, but also interaction, etc. The lore should be excellent.

With these things you make a good power fantasy CYOA. Otherwise you got grade D projects.

I imagine the transformation could work in one of two ways (with lots of sub variants). One a more mechanical robot version, that would at least in part invalidate endurance and immunity since robots don't get tired, can't get sick/poisoned (barring computer viruses) don't need any sort of sustenance (food, water, air) except perhaps a power cell (making energy attack 1's bioelectric energy appealing), and would make inheritor useless/weird. Two (and this seems more likely) the AI replaces every cell in our body with mechanical stem cells (special type of nanite) that perfectly mimic all our bodily functions such that we still need food, air, can get sick (from magic disease at least) etc, our preexisting genetic structure might even matter.

Well becoming a Goddess isn't so easy. But on my quest to spread good, I become a paladin and do many heroic deeds.

Realm is bunch of floating volcanic islands. The lava comes from a magical pocket dimension. They erupt sometimes, but the capital is built around this problem, so it's always changing and can be very dangerous! Volcanic soil means there's places that are very fertile so there's lots of food.

All the races are good IMO, but low magic races are definitely the weakest. Humans make great mages, elementkin have strong versatility, beastmen are physical beasts, high magical races get discounts in all magical bonuses.

I remember the high magic races being unpopular due to the magic type restriction and that they didn't work well unless they were a mage, but some people liking them for raw power. Though I also recall people arguing they should be able to build something of similar power without having to pick one of those races, and then picking one a high magic race rather than what they were calling less than optimal. Really looking back I think some anons were Tsundere for the high magic races.
