Looking for some players to pad out for a series of short alt-history battlefield campaigns. It'll be sheets that are 80% premade, then drop you into a situation and play it out. Lethality and crunch will be pretty high, expect tacticool shit. Should last 2-6 sessions per.

Setting will change every time. As examples, two of the ones I've settled on are 'World War 1 but with demons' and 'The Napoleonic War but with chemical weapons'. It'll be shit like that, you'll probably be a commando group or similar with a bunch of objectives.

Mostly to get me back in the swing for a tacticool game I'm taking off hiatus soon.

The year is 1631 and the Thirty Years War continues. The Swedish army is on the march to Würzburg, which is the region’s most important political, religious, and thanks to the Marienburg Fortress, military center. Karlstadt is directly in the army’s path, and many fear that the army is keen on taking revenge for the sack of Magdeburg. The Swedish anger is further stoked by Swedish king Adolphus's hatred of witches, and belief that the Prince-Bishop and populance of Catholic heretics are abiding witchcraft. The army will reach its destination in 8 days.

Rumors say that 10 days ago, the a group of sorceresses known as The Seven overthrew the ruling class of Karlstadt and laid down their own law: "There will be No More War", disarming the people and closing down all of the churches. The Prince-Bishop of Würzburg, secluding his own men behind the city walls, has promised a bounty of 1,000 SP for the head of each of The Seven, 10,000 SP if the heads of all seven are delivered.

50 Fathoms from Savage Worlds but using the Heroquest 2 system with some tweaks on how to gain experience and some custom magic trying to keep the flavor of 50 fathoms without the mechanics of Savage Worlds.

For those of you who don't know 50 Fathoms, it is a fantasy setting where the entire world started flooding 13 years prior. At the same time humans from earth (age of sail 1400-1815) started appearing in the seas. Rain has let up since then but visitors are still appearing. Instead of your standard fantasy races you have some proxies and some non-standard, but still tropey. So expect a pirate game, but I would prefer the game not go full blood thirsty pirate (I like games about heroes).

If you don't know Heroquest 2 it is a very light system, it's lighter than FATE so if you like crunchy systems this probably isn't going to scratch your itch.

Humans as described in the ad are called visitors.

Doreen - dolphin-like humanoids. The 'grey people' are air breathers but can hold their breath for a long time.

Kehana - a race of cruel fishmen who are the mortal enemies of the Doreen.

Grael - a large, dim-witted race of sealion-men. Live in the arctic region.

Atani - beautific avian race that glide on the ocean breeze. They live in the huge trees of the last remaining Carroway forest.

Kraken - an unnerving and magically gifted race. Their once powerful navy assaulted the evil flooding the world. The remains of thousands of ships are the jetsam of the Flotsam Sea. A single Great Ship captained by High Admiral Caspian gathered the surviving warriors and mages. The few Kraken that remain are lone wanderers.

Masaquani - the dominant inhabitants of Caribdus. The Masaquani developed much like humans through the middle ages but the development of armor and gun-powder instead having the use of magic. They are an exotic race extreme in their biological diversity. They quickly adapted to the Visitor's gun-powder however.

The Red Men (half-Ugak's) - savage barbarians like red-tinged neanderthals that are strong but cultural outcasts.

Scurillians, a small group of sentient giant crabs. They were the result of a powerful Kraken mage mixing magics. Once sentient, they revolted and destroyed their maker.
