Well, his name's Magnus the Red so he's gotta be red. He's a Daemon prince so the horns on the head make sense. The Tzeentchian stuff he's wearing and the wings make sense cuz he's a Tzeentch guy. Due to his pose being dynamic there isn't lazy copy pasting. Only his nipple horns seem out of place.

Still prefer the old conversion one from White Dwarf years ago, based off of the old metal manticore, but this one isn't bad, just a little bland. I'd prefer more demonic that just a bigger version of the art of him pre-daemon with wings. Make one big eye in the center, I like the birth defect look on him as a human, but come on, he's demon now. Well, when you have big horned red creature, Satan comparisons are given. And spot on, if may I add.
If I have o e complaint, it is that the head looks bit small compared to the rest of the body. Face part of the head, not the horns. Also he looks more Tzeench than Thousand sons, wich he is, but I would like more TS symbols.

But the more I look at it, the more I like it, and I don't know why. It makes me excited to know we are entering in new age for 40K.

I always figured by 40k, Daemon Primarch Magnus would have a giant orb of a yellow eye by this point, not some basic war wound leaving him with one eye.

Remember, this winter is going to be all about Space Wolves vs Thousand Sons, with books and models detailing both the burning of Prospero and the Thousand Sons' retaliation on Fenris 10,000 years later during the 13th Black Crusade. GW is releasing a PLASTIC. PRIMARCH.

They're simply advancing the story far enough to justify models and rules for the Daemon Primarchs. Bonus in that they take a bit of the workload off of FW's shoulders since now they'll just have to make rules for the Daemon Primarchs and let GW take care of the models. This was not going to be too far off for Angron and Fulgrim since both now become Daemon Princes sometime before the Siege of Terra.

He is forced to watch his Imperium rot and humanity slowly die out for 10K years of agony and in the end his striving will be utterly futile when Abaddon delivers casts him down.
