The Ace of Aces is still pretty viable in the current meta, especially with the slew of T-65-compatible upgrades FFG has thrown in since TFA. And the best part is, lots of players are still under the illusion that she's old and busted.

Last night I tried this list against a local guy's "original" list (which was literally Old Man Fenn).
>Asajj w/ mindlink, dengar, title
>Palob w/ mindlink, TLT, latts, title
>Black Sun Ace w/ Mindlink

I didn't do so hot, but a pivotal moment was when he used Old Teroch to clear Palob's focus stack when he wasn't in Palob's arc. There were a few other such situations but I think (hope) it was honest oopsies and not bullshit.

Anyway, I like the basic idea of the list, but it needs some revamping I think. I wanted Palob to be a relatively tough nut to crack but at 32pts he's over-stuffed. After all the mindlinkers were down, I had a little trouble with Asajj's mobile arc too.

>Asajj w/ Mindlink, Dengar, title, Gyro, BMST
>Palob w/ Mindlink, TLT, Latts
>Black Sun Ace w/ Mindlink
I think I could've done more damage had to kept BMST on Asajj from the prototype of the build, I very nearly killed both Fenn and Manaroo but ran out of dick at the end. A few extra damage points would've turned the tide. I'm hesitant to use gyros, I feel like I can solve the issue with good flying. I'm also wondering if Latts is actually a better defensive choice than recspec for Palob, who can be awfully tanky with a couple focuses. Then also for lols I've considered swapping the BSA with a Tansaari Point Manglerwerfer w/ Mindlink. I jousted a bit with the BSA and he ate it pretty hard; I think a manglerwerfer could do well with Focus Evade and a range 3 approach.

I picked up a mess of new ships for xwing including all of the huge base ships. (thanks Amazon credit card) Going to be constructing a scenario for deploying every ship I own with imps transporting weapons and the rebels trying to steal them and scum assisting whomever pays each individual ship pilot more per turn. (gonna use a dice system to keep it random) I'm not against using a preconstructed scenario for this however since I'm fielding a shit load of ships and I've got 5 people coming over to split up piloting duties. Any suggestions? Had alot less ships in our last big group game so I'm probably going to limit the obstacles a bit more than in pic related.
>>
>>49707531
> I'm hesitant to use gyros, I feel like I can solve the issue with good flying.

It's good action economy for 2 points, it makes your life so much easier that it's always gonna be worth it. Especially if you're carrying BMST, you need all the actions you can get.

That's been only the Core, and has been there since FaD Core scan first came out. Some people who post the OP have a habit of copying and pasting from what's saved on their computer and not updating that saved copy, so whenever the OP was updated to remove it, it just keeps getting added back a couple generals later. Ignore it, basically.

Sup /tg/, I need advice. I've manged to pull a win out of my ass in the last 2 X-wing store tournaments that I went to, with the same list.
I'm getting the feeling that for the next one, people are going to try to counter it. Normally, I bring

Omega Squadron Pilot (Weapons Guidance, Crack Shot)[20] x 5

I'm fearing that Fenn Rau and other anti-swarm solutions will be showing up. I am also guessing that Asajj will show up semi-frequently.

What do I do to change up my list? I'm debating adding Rexler Brath with either Juke or VI and mk2 engines (cutting 2 ties) but I'm not sure if he would be useful.
A phantom might also be nice, but I know that Dengaroo will be there to fuck Whisper up.

As for ship availibility, I have multiples of every Imperial ship, but nothing else. (Because I'm not Rebel Scum or Regular Scum) I have upgrade cards to do pretty much anything.

What do you all think I should do?
>>
>>49707563

>>
>>49707331

Mini swarm plus ace of choice is rarely a bad call as well.

I don't like normal ties, as they rely on howlrunner to do damage, and if you mean regular academy pilots, I've had them get soloed by a phantom before, as they need crack shot.

The question is- what do I bring? I don't want to switch to Palp Anything, as Zuckuss will be rearing his head. I'm looking for a 36+ point ship that isn't a phantom to replace 2 Ties to hunt aces for me. What would you add? Juke Rexler seems like he fits the bill, or maybe PS 10 Rexler and a 3 point bid?

Or Omega Leader and Wampa?

"Backdraft" with title, Advanced Sensors, Twin Ion Engine Mk. II and whatever else you want is pretty beastly.

Inquisitor with Juke and title.

Maarek Stele in either TIE with appropriate title and Calculation. In the Advanced, he is made for Advanced Targeting Computer.
>>
>>49708951
He is 35 at maximum (and a 5 point bid is retarded), but his ability wouldn't really help against Fenn Rau. Hell, if he is at range 1, I'll probably lose Carnor.

I may be paranoid, but PTL Fenn can get into range 1 pretty easily, and 4 dice+ evade is hard to punch through.
>>
>>49708983
Stele and Inquisitor would be too cheap to replace the 2 Omegas. As an example, that inquisitor would leave me with a 7 point initiative bid.

Backdraft is giving me an idea though, would a PTL+Baffle Quickdraw (mk2 engines, sensor cluster) to shoot Aces before they move(if ps9+) or just before they shoot be a good idea? Or maybe a FCS Quickdraw with Draw their Fire in a mini crackswarm?
>>
>>49708907
Ties don't rely on Howl any more than FOs do. Black Squadrons w/ crack are absurdly reliable and efficient. Academies are god tier blockers and will shred anything with 1 agility or less.

Top anti-ace for mid 30 points is Deathrain loaded with conners. For a few points more you have the Omega Leader/Wampa pairing which is also crazy good.
>>
>>49709008
Zertik Strom with title and Sensor Jammer or Advanced Targeting Computer would be a pain in Fenn's ass.

A Defender or Firespray with Autoblaster would be pretty killer as they would all but ignore his evade dice.
>>
>>49707273
>>49707331

They have "adversary decks" which are basically lots of quick reference NPC cards in a deck - they seem surprisingly popular. Come in a couple different themes.
>>
>>49709103
My fear isn't entirely Fenn Rau, but also aces in general. The autoblaster being 5 is discouraging though.

If it sounds like I'm disagreeing with every suggestion, I make decisions by playing devil's advocate against everyone and myself.

According to hearsay, there's a X-Wing faq&errata due for the 20th of this month.

"Small Ship only" Deadeye was mentioned.
>>
>>49710093
Has this EVER happened before? I mean, adding "small ships only", "limited", the unique mark or anything like that to a card? How do they intend to fix this? It's not like they can withdraw all the Deadeyes and release new one with the "small ships only" text.
Personally I don't believe they'll do that.
>>
>>49710429
Tactician became Limited in an errata.

They just printed all the new ones with the correct text and told whoever already had it to refer to the errata.
>>
>>49710429
They did make Tactician limited.

I hope Deadeye doesn't change, though. Without torp scouts doing God's work keeping TLT and regen dead and buried, they'll go back to ruining the game.
>>
>>49710478
>>49710496

>>49707273
Unfortunately there is no single book filled with lots of different monsters and NPCs. It's all pretty spread out. The closest you'll get are the setting books: Suns of Fortune, Lords of Nal Hutta, Nexus of Power, and Strongholds of Resistance.

The Age of Rebellion and Force and Destiny core books have a fair number of enemies statted (although quite a few are reprints from EotE). I think Stay on Target has some beasts that can be ridden. There are droids in a few of the career sourcebooks, too.
>>
>>49710693
They should totally make one.
Was not fun of SWd20 but I did like just how many generic NPC statblocks there were.
>>
>>49710588
Sheev should be epic only. He makes flying my beloved squints far too easy.
>>
>>49711014
That was my thought too. Sheev is just too OP in a regular match. Making him Epic only would be a lot better.
>>
>>49711014
That'd be a bit too much, I fear. He exists for a totally valid reason, which is making green dice less of a fucking bitch for agile ships.
Nowadays there's a lot of aces with native target lock, so I feel like making him only able to affect green dice wouldn't be too much of a nerf while keeping his intended purpose. Kind of a kick in the balls for interceptor, though, I know. If such a correction ever happened, I wouldn't be against dropping him or two points lower, honestly.
>>
>>49711014
>>49711052
>>49711107
And the Lambda would become completely useless without him around, there's also that.
>>
>>49711170

Well, the beauty of X-Wing players is you give them the stuff, they'll find a way to fly it - even though people will bitch about how useless something is.

That said, with the Upsilon coming up for +1 Attack and +2 HP and the double tech probably more useful on a ship of that type than the cannon slot, using the Lambda for non-palpshuttle is probably going to get even less ideal unless you really need to lose like 10 points.

The real seller on the Upsilon is gonna be the dial. It needs to have at the very least a white turn, another Lambda-like dial would make it almost doa
>>
>>49711399

I dunno. It has Coordinate outside of epic, that's gonna be crazy for some imperial lists.
>>
>>49711170
Players have been making yhe Lambda work long before Sheev. There was a guy at a major tournament who came in somewhere in the top 8, and all he had were 3 souped up Lambdas. His list was called something like "The Great Alabaster Hippo Balet".
>>
>>49711435
>>49711399

It also costs like 8 points more than the Lambda for just the aforementioned action, +1 att and +2 HP and an additional upgrade slot over all, it also probably has a better dial.

Add more warlord factions because having just the First Order is boring as hell. Bring back Pellaeon and the Great One as the leaders of a moderate, pro-NR faction. Bring back Team Three-Eye and the mofference. Zsinj and Snoke face off at Galactimania, culminating in the Iron Fist putting Snoke in the Kaadu Clutch, breaking his back, and making him humble.
>>
>>49711474

Eh, it's a little better than Squad Leader. You can use it with the PS2 generic and hand out free actions regardless of their PS, it doesn't take up your EPT slot - which at least Kylo Ren has, possible the PS4 guy. Coordinate will definitely see more use than Squad Leader.

Oh, I agree, it's a criminally underused ship. I have a shuttlebro locally, we play them a fair bit. Doomshuttle helped me get top 8 at regionals a couple years back. Always fun to bamboozle somebody with the alabaster void bison.

>>49711737
Ships cost points, bro. Lambdas have an incredible statline for their cost, you just have to leverage its dial.

>>49711942
It's a hard ship to learn because its dial is so unforgiving. What you want to do is keep yourself oriented towards the fight. You have to see a few moves ahead. Abuse that 0 stop like crazy. It's also great at area denial, as nobody wants to land in its cross hairs, especially with vader on board.

Keep it cheap, as that efficient statline is the main draw. It's your anvil, your disruptive force, your killing blow.

There's an article by my shuttlebro, should be a good read. A bit dated, but still relevant.

>>
>>49711942
I'm the other guy, but just be conservative. Any overextension will take a long time to fix, so be careful.

The zero speed maneuver helps immensely, and by putting other ships in its path you can purposefully block your own Lambda's movements, so with some practice you should be able to contain it.

Be mindful of asteroids and such, due to it being a large base you could use it to block off routes, forcing enemy ships to either bump or turn in front of you.

In any case, you need to plan ahead your moves.

What's up /swg/? Recently I've been putting together some preliminary plans for an SW game. It would focus on a small group of underfunded ISB officers shunted to a backwater world in the outer rim. There they would have to deal with powerful criminal organizations, a nascent rebel cell, and superiors who don't give a bantha shit about them.

What's the best system to run a game like this? Will FFG's work fine without any modification? I know there are some rules for imperial characters

Anon, no one is telling you can't enjoy it.

It's a bad game, you can't really deny that. Like, seriously bad. Concerningly bad.

Nothing wrong with liking a bad game, I like a lot of bad stuff myself. I regularly watch bad movies with friends just for the sake of it, and we have fun doing it. I watched the entirety of Gilmore girls at least twice, I'm a goddamn authority on bad.

You don't need to go into full defense mode every time someone criticises something you like. You're allowed to like bad things, just recognise them as guilty pleasures and move on.
A criticism to something you like is not a personal attack.

>The rebellion, at its core, is depicted as fighting against the established power that denies the individual and against the conformity it demands
>Its people, by definition then, must be those who don't quite fit in and feel unhappy conforming.
>The rebellion, to a lesser extent, is familial. Whether its brothers and sisters joining the fight with you, or the family you find in the service.
>How many small families and tight knit groups only formed because of the rebellion?
>Her capital ships were ocean liners who originally toured the stars and gave families a chance to explore safely together. While the turn to ships of battle removed that safely, families boarded those ships and explored the galaxy in it.
>How many families were formed in Home One alone among its pilots, commandos, bridge crew, engineering teams, gunnery crews, flight controllers and command staff?
>How many grew close, engaged in activity, and lived in her, only to suddenly be lost?
>How bittersweet was the victory on Endor, where a rebellion stood and delivered its powerful no to the Empire, in Home One's empty halls where entire families were lost in the battle?
>How many comrades had to take those little sparks of uniqueness and life that become scattered in homes to mark you and removed them because they were no longer needed?
>who cleaned the rooms of dead men and women, knowing they would never be visited after months or years of use?

I think a loss of a squadron would be so much more demoralizing in the Rebellion because of how everyone is defined by their individualism. Being a janitor must have sucked after Endor.

This is the biggest issue I have with Rebels, is that everyone who isn't a main character dies like canon fodder, and no one gives a shit. Like that qt a-wing pilot who got grabbed by spiders - no attempt was even made to rescue her, and no one even said anything about her.
>>
>>49714440
Its so frustrating because I can see why they do it. They're still aiming for a kids show dynamic, so dwelling too much on horrifying deaths messes with the ratings. But for fuck's sake, Clone Wars managed to individualize the clones and they died by the droves. the show made their deaths at least worth a bit more.

I'm kinda hopeful with Wedge and Hobby though. They could take a break from the main characters for a few episodes and have them build up Phoenix squad, and it would be completely reasonable as a way to flesh out Hera and the squad and add some weight to the fights. All they have to do is an episode or two and I'd at least be more comfortable.

Once had a Rebel Character in a game that took place several years after EpVI - by that time the Rebellion was over, and my GM had decided to make his own canon where it was all peaceful except for flashpoints of pro-empire sentiment "rebellion against the New Republic" etc.

>Joined the rebellion to be a fighter pilot
>had terrible eyesight and no flying ability, became a technician, and sometimes a gunner onboard capital ships
>was a gunner on board the Independance during Endor
>still has PTSD after watching the Liberty get vape'd, because it easily could've been the Inde' instead
>Still remembers all the friends he had on the Liberty
>Shot a bunch but never scored a kill at Endor
>after the battle, and during the last few months of the conflict, it was all "show the flag" tours for the Inde
>only thing he ever killed was a mynock on the outside hull - it was a female with a baby
>took the baby mynock as a pet because of guilt
>Discharged with pay, but never did anything useful
>became a freighter pilot because he still just wanted to fly

He was a tired old freighter captain with a pet mynock and PTSD - none of the other characters (notably a bounty hunter, a jedi-in-training under Luke, and a half-way broken droid scoundrel) understood why he kept the damn thing, and once he got drunk and explained that he had done nothing during the rebellion except kill something that didn't deserve to die.
>>

>>
>>49714307
I'm the opposite of you. I generally enjoy plenty of what EA and Bioware have produced but I fucking hated SWTOR.
>>
>>49714573
There's been more than a few attempts, that you can find online, that tries to reconcile skills with X-Wing; they're all incomplete, don't account for talents (or only account for a very small amount), and typically very bloated (making everything much slower than a typical round of combat in the RPG).

Only thing I've seen that's reasonable is just keeping it all mechanically separate, but mixing the narratives. So for instance in an AoR campaign, the players control different Rebel ships and have to protect a ship from being "destroyed", if they win, then on the RPG side the ship stops by the RPG characters' base and assigns them a mission to move the cargo of the ship to its destination, if they lose, the RPG characters get a message at their base to head over somewhere and retrieve it.

That approach basically lets everyone play around with different ships, not get too bogged down with if their character would otherwise be shit in piloting, it's less of a problem if they would get their ships blown to shit, and you get to keep the X-Wing rules intact.
>>
>>49712128
It's better than a B-Wing, since it doesn't require being a space fish to learn how to fly right and can probably be pumped out at twice the rate for half the price.

Ello m8,

Your best bet would be to hit the 501st forums and ask there. Specifically, if you're after a Clone Trooper costume, go here:
http://501stclonetroopers.com/forum/
Register up and browse. There'll be build guides, WIP's of people building theirs so you can see where people go wrong (and avoid their fate) and people who make the kits that you can order the plastic from.

You'll also want to find out which garrison's territory you live in and head to their forums too. Ask around there, might be that they can help you make the armour yourself from scratch. I'm lucky, there's two sheds with vacuuform tables in my area.

My impression was always that the Rebel fighters and starships were just about able to hold off the Imperials because it was only tie-class fighters, but once it became a capital ship affair trading ranging shots the overwhelming firepower of the Empire really hit hard. They did not want to go fleet to fleet with the Imperials but it sure beat sitting around waiting to get murdered by the Death Star.

The Empire's plan was to crush the confused & panicked Rebels between the fleet and the DS2, but they didn't expect a breakout (or at least not a coherent one) and the point-blank fighting had the unplanned effect of minimizing the Imperial fleet's numbers advantage as they blocked each others' fire. With the loss of the Executor, the fleet proper's rigid chain of command broke down and it was every captain for himself, mixed up in a melee against Rebel ships fighting like the third monkey on the ramp to noah's ark. The remaining fighters had little part to play in that stage of the battle, so when the defense shield was taken down on the forest moon they all booked it out of the turbolaser hell of fleet combat to instead brave the turbolaser hell of the DS2's surface in search of the reactor access.

This is not me lecturing how it went down, just how it comes across in my mind.

My experience with the game is solely playing with my brother and two friends, so I speak much to tactics. That said,
>If I buy a package of the dice, would I be able to split a core set to play skirmish, or do I need my own core set?
First, there's a dice app by Fantasy Flight, so you don't need to buy more dice if you don't want to, as long as you're willing to hand over that part of the tabletop experience over to your phone.

Second, I'm not sure what you mean by splitting the set. So long as you're paying together, you can just share everything? If you're trying to play over video chat, then you'll have the usual troubles with war-gaming over video chat (such as communicating to the one person with all the figures where to move). If you're trying to split the cost with someone, so you can each have an 'army' while buying only one set, then you're going to have trouble.

But putting the idea of splitting the set aside, the biggest problem with playing Skirmish with just the Core Set, is Command Cards. Some Command Cards are faction-specific, but others are not. Thus, there's no clean way to divide them up. So unless you want to make dummy copies, or use a draft pick system before each game, or some else along those lines, then the players have to buy more stuff if they want an even experience.

Basically, a friend has a core set, and I'd like to be able to play skirmish.

I'd like to potentially be self sufficient (not need to borrow from him) if possible though.

It looks like I can't get cards to borrow though, and the command cards from the Vader/Stormtrooper expansions aren't 15 cards/they cost too much.

It's not possible to get command cards separately, is it? I would probably be able to get the cards like Sit Tight from my friend though (2 in the core set, and can only take one)

It will. But the PS2 generic is going to be an expensive ship to take just for Coordinate. And unless the shuttle's got crazy green maneuvers, PtL will probably not be an optimal EPT for it... Meaning any turn it uses Coordinate is going to be a turn it's not focusing, or target locking.

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. The only shame was, that the character was wasted on a wierd campaign based on us having to transport some alma-style hyper-intelligent sociopathic dark side 9 year old. One of those "conscripted by New Republic black-ops, do what we say or we'll disapear you" kinda railroad deals, and considering my former character was a rebel, he jumped at the chance to help the NR, but in the end, we were just being screwed as part of some black-ops shady shit agenda to utilize old imperial dark side "bio-weapons" (which this kid kinda was) - and of course, being a hyper-intelligent sociopathic cunt, she basically fucked us over every chance she got while we were convinced we were saving some scared little girl from being used as a shady bio-research project.

It was dumb, not-star wars, and I'm fairly certain my GM had just played F.E.A.R and got his idea from there.

SWTOR is a great game to play casually. The stories in the game that you can play through are all really great. I think the problem is that some people try to play it like every other MMO, where they rush through the lower level content so they can reach max level to raid, only to find that there's nothing really there for them and they just skipped out on the best part of the game. Seriously, it's the best game to just level in.
>>
>>49720783

Eeeh, not really. 3 or 4 are great, the others are mostly decent to mediocre.

>>
>>49720867
I disagree. While some stories are better than others, all of them are great in their own way. I'm not just talking class stories, but also all the other little stories that are in all the sidequests and planetary missions and such. Even the small little quests, like when the Jedi master sends you to spy on his padawan to see if he's in a romance with a girl, and you find out he is and he asks you to cover for him and you gotta choose, were good little stories in my book.

>>49720889
We're pretty clearly just stating and sharing our opinions. When someone says something is good, they're clearly saying "I think it's good" and not "this is good as a fact" (since "good" is pretty much always subjective).

If you have your own opinions of the game, please share them. I'd like to hear what you thought about the game.
>>
>>49716026
Not him, but my first thought was shitposting. There is no best list, never was. The meta changes from area to area, month to month, wave to wave. All the meta is is what people have been playing. Metas change because people try new things, practice what isn't "best" at the time.

You can win with damn near anything, especially in local events. Skill trumps netlisting.

What did you end up flying?

Dunno man, most of them were really bland to me. I appreciated a bunch of class storylines, but that's it, and the repetitive gameplay really didn't help.

Different strokes for different people, I guess.
>>
>>49720989
I think what helped me keep the gameplay from becoming too repetitive was taking my time with it. There's just so much to do in that game if you don't rush to the end.

But you're right, nothing is ever going to be everyone's cup of tea.

Talking films here, not the war game. Nothing really seems to stand up to sustained fire unless there's a main character in it.
>>
>>49722309
In the films it's easy enough to assume since we're only getting snippets most ships have been whittled down offscreen in "unimportant" parts of the engagement.
>>
>>49722033
Not really... the A-Wing is scaled a little bit big. And the B-Wing scaled a hair small. And all the huge Epic ships are scaled down to allow them to fit into the game better. Aside from that, there isn't much else. The Firespray and HWK are what most people get confused about on scaling. But the Firespray's "cockpit" is actually a three seat setup on two separate decks. And the HWK is actually sized about right for a cramped 2-seater, considering there are at least two different conflicting internal schematics for the thing.
>>
>>49722356
During Yavin, at least, it's assumed that Red and Gold both took frontal hits during their initial approach and their dives into the trench. IIRC, wasn't there a first-person shot of a dive into the trench while lasers impacted the camera? Or am I remembering the Star Tours video?
>>
>>49722530
Yeah I think I remember when the first run was going down Gold was bouncing some tower hits.
>>
>>49720512

As I recall from SW: Rebellion, it was had some laser cannon, for protecting from fighters. It's a long-range combatant, using strike-craft to engage capital ships, and point-defences to protect returning craft from fighters and interceptors. It wasn't great at it, but they would also respond with launching their own fighters in defense. At no point should it ever be in range of turbolasers, it can handle almost any number of fighter opposition (depending on squadrons available)

So I recently listened to an interview with some FFG writers which included questions about the VCX stats in Force & Destiny.

He raised some good points, like how yeah, the Ghost is quite a bit bigger than the Falcon and has two decks. Similarly, it doesn't really seem like the Ghost should be pulling off Gain The Advantage, nor does it really dodge attacks but tank them a lot of the time. Discrepancies can be made up by Hera being a really good pilot.

That said, for the sake of consistency, I think the scaling at SIL 5 is off. In the show, the Ghost is still only like, half the size of the CR-90s. Even with XWM having slightly squished scales, it's still a single Large base ship, as opposed to a double-base huge ship like the Tantive IV. And the XWM designers thought she was agile enough to give the Evade action to. SIL 5 kills a lot of useful maneuvers for pilots which I think something which is still very much in the moderate freighter size (handful of crew and passengers) should do. And the barrage actions are pretty meaningless to the VCX and don't model it in the show well, even the Ghost really just adds the linked torpedo launchers. After that it just has fore and aft guns then the turret, not exactly "barrage" material. Given the FFG system has a lot of narrative focus, couldn't your GM just make a judgment call on the ability to perform some maneuvers?

>>
>>49723653

I'd play it as Sil5 for incoming fire and defense zones (it is a rather slab-sided), but Sil4 for maneuvers.

That way, it can perform in the hands of a good pilot, and can tango with fighters, but is vulnerable if something packing turbolasers arrives on the scene.

QD or backdraft with the Inquisitor and Vessery is hot shit. I also really like Mrs. Rendar (Dash/Norra). I imagine Norra/Braylen/Biggs is good because of how much attention it is getting but if you run it you can expect someone to have a counter in mind.
>>
>>49723653
>I think the scaling at SIL 5 is off
Remember that silhouettes are more than just size, it's about the mass of the ship, and having 2 decks filled with stuff and being decently armored brings a lot of extra mass with it. Think of it more as the VCX-100 likely just barely getting into the Silhouette 5 range, whereas things like the Gozanti or CR-90 are more firmly in Silhouette 5 range.

I'd recommend leaving it as-is at Silhouette 5; but if you wanted to open it up to Silhouette 4 maneuvers, to just create an attachment that functions similarly to: >>49723702 since it's likely that, given the Phantom, the Ghost has a fair number of attachments. And given Hera's skills, it's feasible enough that if she had/liked a ship that wasn't as maneuverable as she wanted/needed, that she'd adjust it until was.
>>
>>49724203
Eh, I generally consider the Gozanti the bare minimum of Sil 5.

Yeah, I feel more like the VCX is a big SIL 4. It really doesn't have the same profile as corvettes or light cruisers. And mechanically, other than the fat HT/ST, it doesn't do much more than say, a Lambda-class shuttle (And than the additional defense zones, but since they're all 1 it means very little).

Same speed, same crew positions, same number of weapon systems, same encumbrance capacity, less passengers (Though on the shuttle that's adjusted by how much cargo space you use), and the Lambda has better handling and armor. VCX has more HP, but so do most Corellian freighters. Nor does it's HT/ST really stack up to other SIL 5 vessels. It's a bit of an outlier either way, but I feel like it's capabilities match with SIL 4 freighters and shuttles much more than SIL 5 light naval ships.

How well do these rules play with some of the Stay on Target stuff like the astromech rules?

Alternate setting star wars art? I'ts a fairly popular concept that many archers have dabbled in. Don't think there's any big collection for all of it. I can post a few I have.

Seismic Torpedo doing much for you?
>>
Thanks to listening to an absurd amount of filk I'm in the mood for some space and dropping some money on more x wing ships. I own 4 X Wings, 1 YT 2400, 2 K Wings, 1 HWK, 8 Ties and a Slave 1.
What should I buy next? Maybe some Y Wings and Tie advanced to complete the ships from a new hope? How many do I need of them max in 100point lists? Do more than one tie advanced make sense from a fluff point of view?
>>
How often do you guys proxy cards for X-Wing? Do you set any rules when playing with friends?

Because sometimes I think of the best builds but I get limited by what cards I own and I really don't want to drop money on something I'll never use like the Rebels Transport (too big) or some scum ships (I play Rebels)

Despite me and everyone I play with being okay with it, Hardly ever. The one time I did it was when I were swapping armies with a rebel player for one game, and both wanted to use the one fire control system card.

>What should I buy next?
Interceptor/ImpAces, Defender/Bomber/ImpVets, A/B/RebAces, Most Wanted

>Maybe some Y Wings and Tie advanced to complete the ships from a new hope?
Also good

>How many do I need of them max in 100point lists?
You can run a max of 5 Ys or 4 Adv at 100.

>Do more than one tie advanced make sense from a fluff point of view?
Totes.

Speaking as mainly a scum player, I'd say no more than two Y-wings, but if you really like them there's probably ways to make it work.
Personally I'm a big fan of A-wings and TIE-interceptors both for the design and because they're fun to fly, unless you know you don't like the ship typ I recommend trying them out.

I have everything, so rarely, but it doesn't bother me when other people do it.

Also, Epic and Scum are fun as fuck and you should play them.

Thanks. A squad entirely made of advanced seem rather cool.
>>49725945
Focusing on rebels and imps right now. Also thought about interceptors, because you get 2 in the aces expansion.
>>49725983
I like them, but for me they are in the same category as k wings and I want to go for some smaller ships first.

>>49726283
Both Imperial Aces and Imperial Veterans are great purchases, go for them if/when you can/want.

Speaking of Advanced, there was a guy at my LGS who was running a squad of 4 with Accuracy Correctors and Proton Rockets. Although you could easily fit them with Engine Upgrades. The list was pretty funny, because he didn't give a shit about bumping or slamming them into each other. So long as they had a shot, he would be rolling attack dice just to see if he got something better than 2 hits.
