Be a bit more difficult to set things out though. It was easy for GoT because the books were so long, you could have one for every season, with a bit of trimming to get them to fit.

The HH books, on the other hand, are much smaller, and if you tried to fit, say, the first three into one season, I think you'd probably lose something.

And that's not even mentioning the audiodramas and short story collections.

Every time I think about a possible Horus Heresy movie I just get sad because the base audience isn't big enough for any major studio to touch it. We might at some point get a t.v. show, but the there so much basic information to cover, that it'd be at least a 3 season starting commitment with a massive budget and no one would want to make it. :(

A show about Astartes would be too wallet-blasting to be viable in live action. Shoot me if you want, but a cg show with a simplified art-style would work better (think Star Wars: The Clone Wars).

Of course then everyone would think it was for kiddies and wouldn't watch it anyway. Though clever censorship and replacing bolters with las-weapons could make it an all-ages show anyway, at least until Fulgrim gets weird.

Also, anyone who disagrees with Sean Bean as The Lion is a goddamn heretic.
