Listen up you pathetic excuses for human beings! We have just received word that a nearby world is under attack! We've got one hour before arrival, so let's load up and prepare for war!
-----------------------------------------------------------
1d4Chan: https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Campaign:Penal_regiment_designation_/tg/

Steam Group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/40k_penal_regiment.

FAQ:
>What the fuck is this?
Somewhat a campaign of crack-infused free-form roleplay in the grim darkness of the far future.

>When do you guys make these threads?
Usually mondays at 4PM GMT, but they sometimes extend to Tuesdays if we got caught in the middle of something when the thread died and it was too late to make another one the same day.

>Can I join in?
Sure, just think of a character and have fun, you can find most info in 1d4chan albeit it's ussually a little bit out of date in comparison to where the threads are.

>Is there any requirement in character creation.
Not really, we've had Xeno infiltrators, Chaos infiltrators, Villains, Heroes, Normal Guardsmen, Crazed Guardsmen, Assassins, Psykers, Space Marines, Inquisitors, Squats... just think whathever and join the fun.

>Is it allowed to have more than a single character?
Yes as long as you don't use it to powerplay.

>So how you guys do the playan'?
We tend to use spoilers for OOC chat, but nothing is set in stone.
We tend to use greentexts for describing a character's actions, but again nothing is set in stone.
Use d20s for combat checks and d100s for other things you want to roll, higher Is better.
It's important to know that the regiment is now in the employ of a radical Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, with influence from an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor and under the watch of an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor. Yes we've been through a lot of shit.

No can do baby, gotta finish fixing the tank, then we've got this thing goin' on.....
>>
>>49620701
>Within minutes of receiving the order to muster. Malak would be fully equip with the standard Scion issue gear, along with a Gravchute. Ready to drop straight into whatever hell was waiting for them.
>>
>>49620863
>The man would aggressively press his finger into the man's chest. A venomous look in his eyes.

I don't care if your fixing the God Emperor's most holy golden toilet, Sergeant! You have orders to muster, and you WILL FOLLOW THEM!
>>
>>49620917
Can't muster with no tank, that's Archeotech Science.
>The man is his usual mellow self.
>>
>>49620980
not Archeotech*
>>
>>49620701
>Goes to the mustering place and finds a relatively unoccupied corner to wait at
>>
>>49620980

Hey Kane. How're you do-
>"W-What's with the t-tail?"

If that thing starts trying to suck people's dicks, I'm going to put three holes in you, and bring what's left to Inquisitor Arnel Saerkaru.
>>
>>49621153
Now that just ain't right man.
>"Kamerad, you must remove that thing."
>Da, it's just.....why does it look....sentient?"
>"I-I think it's 'staring' at m-me."
>"God Emperor man, burn the damned thing."
>"I'm with Churchy, burn that bloody thing, aye?"
>>
>>49620917
>"I don't care if your fixing the God Emperor's most holy golden toilet"

I understand that's just a one off statement to get someone to do something, and shouldn't be taken too seriously in this context

But the subtle implication that you're above the Emperor is maximum heretical.
>>
>>49621198
"What? This thing? It's more of a pup, really"

Now, now everyone. Let's all calm down, and focus upon the coming battle, rather than the fight each other.

>>49621364
>He'd cast a friendly looking smile to Argus.

That includes you Major. We have no need for infighting
>>
>>49621408
>Argus slowly removes his hand from his knife. But now he is staring at Arnel. Even though he wears his helmet, it is safe to assume he is very angry.
>>
>>49621442

>>
>>49621408
>He'd give the Inquisitor a firm nid and a salute.

>>
>>49621408
>>49621466
>Noticing the Inquisitor, Ragaa slowly moves further away
>>
>>49621488

>This is followed by the full weight of a body being pressed against it.

Gotcha Ferry!
>>
>>49621408
Hey we're just trying to fix our tank and then all this happens.

Ah! My apologies Major Argus. I know you from my chats with Inquisitor Laroque as well as having read your file. But otherwise we have yet to be formally introduced.

I am Inquisitor Arnel Saerkaru, of the Ordo Xenos. I, as well as my retinue aboard "The Storm of Sorrows" have decided to throw our lot in with yours. I just k is it will be a pleasure to work with you.

How in the Warp was Ron, still nothing more than a novice Inquisitor, going to figure out how to get it to reveal it's secrets? On top of that, he no longer had Lt. Col. >Anya comes back with the requested Lemon Extract.
H-hey guys, I'm back. And I got the l-lemon.
>Anya ducks under the Valkyre's tail.
>>
>>49628359
Hey there girl!
>>
>>49628304
"Does the gender really matter? You love her, she loves you. She did since you met, you were therr for her, and she was there for you. Malak...Malak is...was..not sure anymore...it's not him. It's tin. An awkard little mam turned tin. She's human-you know what i mean-and so are you. Don't doubt yourself. Trust it. Trust the love."
>>
>>49628233
>As he'd have thought. A small troop transport would carefully land amidst the street, before deploying its contingent of pirates, before heading off.
>Once it has left, the pirates would begin picking through the bodies. Probably looking for additional supplies.
>In unison, malak, along with the remaining scions that had come down with him, would sneak upon their unsuspecting prey.
>Once everyone was in position. They would simultaneously slice their preys throats open. Causing them to drown in their own heretical blood.
>Once this was finished, they would sneak back into the shadows to wait.
>>
>>49628374
'Kay. What's your opinion on the matter, Anya?

>The drug has CLEARLY kicked in.
>>
>>49628365
Hey Vic, how you both.....um.....uh....

>>49628374
U-Uh.....I....y-you....
>>
>>49628422
W-Well if you.....um....lo- L-LIKE someone....um...a-and they make you h-happy.....
>Anya sighs and sits back down.
C-care for you....k-keep you safe....don't...u-um.....a-a-abuse you.....then....what difference does it make what 'e-quipment' they have?
>>
>>49628396
>He'd wipe the blood of his kill off before putting the blade away.
>He'd once again shake the fatigue away. Pain and fatigue are just a weakness he needed to get rid of. After all.... have Trial of Compliance was coming up soon. And he needed to be fully prepared for what was to come.
>>
>>49628481
Sounds reasonable...
>>
>>49628496
I-It d-does?
>Anya sounds.....hopeful, but there's a hint of nerves in there too.
>>
>>49628490
>He'd cast his glance once more to the smoke filled night sky. Not only awaiting the next batch of prey. But hopeing that Vic and the others were ok right now.
>He'd even say a small prayer for their safety, before getting back to moment at hand.
>>
>>49628513
Yes.
>She takes another sip.
So what happens now?
>>
>>49628544
I....um....what do -y-you- want to h-happen?
>The hope is more prominent, so are the nerves. She is also blushing quite a bit.
We can....w-watch a movie? G-Get um....d-dinner? Uh.....
>>
>>49628602
>She suffers none of those effects because of the drug.
A movie sounds nice.
>>
>>49628618
U-Uhm.....d-does....d-does y-your q-q-quarters have a Pictscreen? The one in the Hammerhead is...on the fritz....
>>
>>49628642
They do, we watched Montus Pythus and quest for the holy throne in it, remember?
>>
>>49628659
W-We.....o-oh....we did.....well....um....
>Anya pushes to her feet and offers Vic her hand.
>>
>>49628670
She takes it to get herself on her feet too.
>>
>>49628697
>Anya hesitantly wraps an arm around Vic's waist. She subconsciously does the same with her tail too.
S-Shall we?
>>
>>49628642
>>49628659
"Well, you ladies have...fun"
"I never really explored this ship"
>he'd get up and start exploring the ship
>he'd give a subtle, yet stern look to Vic
>"I'm completely out of your mind today. No listening, no talking. Remember what i said"
>>
>>49628735
>"Ok..."
>>49628731
We shall...
>She pecks Anya in the lips.
>>
>>49628750
>Anya kisses back a little, then rest's her head on Vic's shoulder as they walk.
S-soooo......about t-that movie......
>>
>>49628772
What you like? Something romantic? Something about war?
>She pulls her closer
Something that combines both?
>>
>>49628540
>Eventually, one of the storm troopers tells him to take a few hours to rest. Which he does reluctantly.
>After a half hour. Malak manages to close his eyes, and sleep
>>
>>49628782
W-we....um.....y-you have those?
>The nerves are back, in a good way.
W-Where?
>>
>>49628811
At my quarters... next to the pictplayer... in front of bed...
>>
>>49628829
A-A-Ah?
>She clearly doesn't think the mentioning of a bed was a coincidence.
>>
>>49628844
What? I don't have seats, we can sit there and cuddle whilst we watch if you want that is.
>>
>>49628808
Well son, congratulations, we're all soldiers now...

>He's apparently sitting on a white void
>>
>>49628856
S-Sounds nice m-miss. T-thank you.
>Anya will remember this.
>>
>>49628876
>And off they go...
>>
>>49628871
>Upon seeing the unknown figure, he would reach for his weapon.
>Only to find both it, and his combat knife missing.
>With a frown, malak would speak up.
I'm afraid I'm at a disadvantage here.... who exactly are you? And where am I?

A true soldier indeed, already looking for a weapon, shame you forgot me, my only friend.
>The white void changes to a battlefield, albeit everything is ignoring both Malak and Eisen... and the bullets are going through.

Eisen seems to be overwatching it, it's a battle against chaos space marines and the Salamanders Chapter is loosing.
>>
>>49628948
>He'd look about the area. His instincts tell him to grab a weapon, and attempt to help the Salamanders around him.
>But upon noticing he is being ignored by the forces of Chaos, he settles down, and turns to face man before him. His brows furrowed.

Friend?
>He'd say with a questioning look.

I think you're mistaken.... "friend"... we've never met before in our lives.

>He'd cross his arms over his chest at this point.

And I'm certainly not friends with anyone who can do this sort of thing...

So I'll ask you once more... just who the hell are you? And where in the galaxy am I?
>>
>>49629022
I'm making a visit from beyond the tomb, I'm just on the place I feel most comfortable at: on the field of battle in a situation against all odds. Like we used to do when you were the one in charge. It's sad what happenned with your memory but it made you a better soldier...

>Eisen seems to start getting covered in flames as he checks around the battlefield, seemingly analyzing a position in the flank where the enemy would be vulnerable away from every loyalist's eyes.
>>
>>49629073
I don't know what happened to my memory. But it not like it bothers me in the end.

After all... you can't be upset about so.ething you don't remember...

>He'd follow the mans gaze. Ultimately he would shake his head at it, before pointing to a nearby hill.

No good... if they tried taking that spot, they would be wiped out by the group of Devastators hidden behind the trees over there.

>He'd point to another area a few hills over.

If they tried from there, they would have a far better shot at it. With far fewer casualties.

>The flames covering him look completely unnatural.

Good view, my brethen and I will try to make them go that way...

I'm running out of time Malak...

>His body would begin changing inside the flames, arming himself.

I must return to the field. But I won't without telling you this first, you must remember the hopes and dreams of your past. It is those which will shield and feed your soul with determination to follow the target and overcome every obstacle that life will place before you, if you don't... if you forget your very being and reject your soul it will fall...

>His form changes that to pict related.

...To damnation.

>He'd then walk away, seemingly firing against the heretics with many more like him coming out of nowhere to aid the faithful as their prayers are listened to. Everything pulling away from Malak until disappearing, forcing him to wake up. If it was a dream or a message from beyond... one will never know.
>>
>>49629198
>He'd sit up, covered in sweat after having just woken up.
>His breathing his heavy, yet he quickly forces himself to calm down. Lest he give away his position.
>Glancing around, he finds that he's been asleep for no more than an hour at most.
>Having finally calmed down, get tires to once again relax.
>"That was a hell of a dream..."
>>
Match is good.
>Ron writes down something quickly
Blood type is spot-on.
>more scribbling
He'll do.
>leans back in his chair
Now how the Hell did he end up there?
>>
>>49629488
>There would be a knock from his door.
>>
>>49629539
>annoyed, Ron quickly puts the papers in his desk and locks it
Come on in.
>>
>>49629555
>The middle aged Inquisitor would enter in. His lips, as usual, are pressed together into a polite smile.

Did I come in at a bad time?
>>
>>49629666
>noticing how tense he must look, Ron relaxes himself and sighs
It's always a bad time for me. But I'm less busy than I have been in a while.
>he tries to smile at Arnel, but it just doesn't feel right
>>
>>49629744
>Seeing how tense the young lad is, is can't help but continue to smile.

Don't try to force it boy. It simply doesn't suit you.

>He'd take a seat.

So... dies the mechanicum know about it yet...?
>>
>>49629808
>he pulls the orb from his pocket
No, and if they did they'd kill me and everyone around me for it. Not every day you find something like this.
>he stares at it intently
It's bad enough I'm willing to take the steps to activate it myself. But if the cogboys got their hands on it? Fuck me if that ain't a lot of people dead.
>>
>>49629897
>His smile would grow a little sharper at hearing this.

And that's the reason I threw my lot in with yours Ron.
>>
>>49629975
If everything goes right though, they won't be a problem for me. At least, I hope not.
>he puts the orb back in his pocket
Ordos Chronos is so fucking strange. Interesting as Hell, though. I mean, who'd think that I'd need to kill myself to go through time? Sounds absurd! And yet it makes so much sense to me now.
