Who cares ya nerd

It's not that he got it wrong that I have a problem with, it's the general idea of "everything is stolen from 40K" when most of 40K's ideas are from other, older material.
>>49601061
There is nothing new under the sun, and honestly, 40k did most of the tropes that WERE stolen from it better. I'm sorry that that triggers you. And if you disagree you're a dingus.

40k would get less flack about it if Games Workshop didn't try and pretend like they invented the wheel with all their IP.
40k does a great job of condensing and codifying a lot of the more whacky, badass, grimdark, and extreme sci-fi tropes and throwing them all together in a way that works. You can have in-depth fluff and deep lore if you want, with questions of morality and detailed descriptions of the blood and guts of war, or you can have big armies of nicely color-coded maniacs beating each other up like 'roided-out rugby players.

This, plus it has the stink of "THERE ARE ONLY ONE GAEM? YES" fanboyism.

>40K did the bug aliens better than Aliens.
>40K did pseudo-archaic human empire better than Dune.
>etc, etc.
I like 40K well enough, but ho-lee sheeet anon.

Rogue Trader 1986 (the first edition of warhammer 40k) was the first appearance of the tyranids you moron at least get the date right.
and yes i know they later get a makeover and turned into a major race that we know now, but their first appearance was still in rogue trader.
