>Fear death, carry disease or corruption, stop the plans of others for Nurgle(I dunno how to Nurgle)
>mfw
Nurgle you worship by ACCEPTING death, because with death comes new chance for life as it springs from the corpses and bones of the fallen. From the death of the universe a new one will rise, and Nurgle loves life so much that he is not content to wait for the natural course. All life is to be cherished, especially those that rise from rot and decay. How you Nurgle is to let life run rampant in all its forms and progress the universe to a glorious rebirth.
>>
>>49583734
Is such a thing even possible?

Because they want an out from the very things Nurgle has often done, and Nurgle when he takes them in shows them the truth of the universe and the nature of death and its relation to life. They don't sit there always fearing death all the time.

(Valkyrie Profile) #35
-Background: Necromancer (800CP) -I'm gonna focus on the life aspect. And bringing peace to spirits.
-Race: Human (Free) -Little altforms!
-Battle Forged (Free) -Battle sorcery, I like!
-Plots and Plans (Free) -Oooooh, you are gonna be FUN.
-Song Maiden (600CP) -LISTEN TO MY VOICE.
-Alchemy (400CP) (Discount) -AND AAAAALL THE RESEARCH!
-Great Magic (100CP) (Discount) -Oh the differing magics I can figure out.
-Default Gear (Free) -A few trinkets.
-Homunculus (-200CP) -THE THINGS I HAVE PLANNED FOR YOU, OH YES. Keep it in the tube for now.
-Sealed (0CP)
Dice Rolls: Valkyrie Profile 2, 28 years old
-End Choice: Next Adventure

Right. So I have absolutely zero idea of what this plot is about, but I do know two things. One is that it's probably a good idea to stick with Lenneth to stop Lezard's bugshit crazy scheme from the sidelines as being Sealed is... soooooomething of an issue for me. Yes a lot of the abilities are there, but they're not at a good strength and I'd rather not cause things to collapse. So sticking with Lenneth it is.

The other thing is the Homunculus body. Anyone who's researched that thing knows of the unbridled BULLSHIT it can do and I'm frankly surprised it's in there to begin with. But hey, just means I'm snagging it and putting it in the tube to study it for later. Various alchemical methods and genetic studies I have right now, yes... but I lack the true skill to unlock its secrets. I will in time, but right now... right now it shall stay hidden.

Hey red someone said warframe had a therapy perk in it last thread but I couldn't find it, can you point it out for me if there is one?
>>
>>49584219
Not unless you were very powerful. Bending elements that are part of a living thing is incredibly hard, that's why bloodbending takes either the full moon power boost or being a weird mutant. Note that "bonebending" doesn't appear to exist, though it's possible just that no earthbender has been willing to consider it. Earthbending also works best if there's a connection through the earth between you and the thing you're bending, at least when you start bending it. So the gems being suspended in this weird hard-light avatar body would inhibit it, too. So all in all, you're going to need a lot of power to do it.
>>
>>49584219
Probably not. Jasper, for example, managed to survive a fall from orbit and her ship exploding after already being thrown into a reactor and getting the shit kicked out of her by Garnet, and the only injuries she showed for it was some bruises and a brief stumble when she first tried to get up. Even just yanking the gems out would be difficult.
>>
>>49584243
Wouldn't it be nothing? The Tyranids cast the Shadow in the Warp, an entire galaxy overrun with them would just have a sea of meaningless static for an Immaterium. And until sapient life evolved again in that galaxy, there would be nothing to replace said static.

>be a good Khornate
-Mark of Khorne (100CP): Reserved for those who have been noticed and favored by the God of War himself, this mark is often branded onto the chosen’s flesh, to serve as a symbol of favor and power for the rest of their days. This symbol, and the power it grants, now belongs to you. You will find your strength increased significantly, enough that even Astartes in Power Armor would seem like children to you and for weapons within your hands to be capable of withstanding the force your strength provides. Even more, the damage you deal during a charge is significantly increased while the damage you could take is significantly reduced. Go forth, and let them break under your might.

>>49584272
They're probably talking about 'Peaceful Zen' which is more like understanding potential in others and cultivating it while understanding WHY someone would turn to the path of evil. Or they meant 'The Honor System' which lets you instill a sort of honor code in them by providing an example.

Not exactly therapy perks I feel, but they could get your foot in the door for them? Though they might have meant the Warframe power 'State of Tranquility' which grants a sort of aura that lets people know you're there to help if you actually MEAN to help.
>>
>>49584282
To be fair no one thought metal bending can be a thing until Toph tried very very hard.

And bone bending would be hard and painful. But blood bending can be done through water bending... Nervous system stuff through fire/lightning bending? That's what you can do with Double Genius
>>
>>49584379
Big question.

How strong are Astartes actually in terms of strength? And how would they compare against Pillarmen whose strength, or at least grip strength, has been noted down?

And that's why you can really tell SJWs that complain about no female space marines are just doing it to find meaning in their empty lives and have no thought of reason.
>>
>>49584395
Well they never give us an exact number, but they have been demonstrated to, WITHOUT power armor, be able to slap on 70kg lightning claws on both hands and swing them around like they were paper mache versions. That implies a significant strength amount, and >>49584431 gives a good idea. To quote a forum:

"We're talking about a seven and a half foot, perhaps 700 pound man. If professional powerlifters are benching/deadlifting etc. 3-4x their bodyweight, a Space Marine, with all his enhancements, is going to have such an advantage of leverage and power that I don't think it would be out of the question for them to perform feats of 8-10x bodyweight. So, let's say they can perform 7,000 lb. lifts and the average guy can bench 250 lbs. That's 28x stronger than the average man and 7x stronger than the strongest men on earth for that exercise."

"However, practical strength is really what will wow people. If there are strongmen now that can bend skillets, drive nails through boards with the palms of their hands and carry all manners of heavy stuff, a Space Marine would be able to perform tasks that would probably stun us. They'd be more akin to watching a bear or gorilla perform feats of strength, except they would also have the intelligence to use it. I don't doubt they could literally throw a small car or alternatively rip it apart with their bare hands but they're not going to be Supermen."

And this is without their power armor.

>And how would they compare against Pillarmen whose strength, or at least grip strength, has been noted down?
I never paid the fuck attention to Pillarman hyping so I wouldn't fucking know. I'm not making this a contest anyway so I don't see why I should care about Pillarmen.

>>
>>49584492
But anon if the armour was thicker they couldn't have drawn in those retardedly meaty ham legs or made them look otherwise broadly freakish.
>>
>>49584482
Because Pillarmen have narration-given numerical measures of strength which means people can put down a pretty number on their Jumper's character sheet if they can compare themselves to an Astartes who is then compared to an Aztec God of Fitness.
>>
>>49584441
...that is actually a reasonable comparison. Hell, Astartes reflexes are probably on par with Spiderman.

And are Pillarmen in 40k? If not, then I don't give a shit, because I'm working within the confines of the 40k verse. I see literally no reason why Pillarmen of Jojo should be an influence of the wording or strength of a perk in another setting.

Okay, let's put it this way: They have the blood of Aesir (elves, gods, call it whatever) and humans. Gods/elves have a lot of powers, but they're static in strength and can't improve at all. Humans on the other hand, CAN improve, but they have a limited lifespan and start off weak.

Homunculi bodies look at the limits of both these races and cackles like a munchkin at a tabletop game who just discovered the ultimate cheese and will soon fill his glass with the whine of his fellow gamers. While they start weak, Homunculi made in this way are ageless, will continue to grow in power, and doesn't seem to have an end. It's how Odin went from the weakest god to the ruler of the pantheon, because he's secretly a half-elf. The MC of the first game went from a regular Valkyrie to being able to take over Odin's position, control all human souls, and rule over both worlds as a Lord of Creation because her soul adapted and grew within the homunculi body she was trapped in.

You want to know bullshit? It's bullshit. Go look on the freaking wiki.

...don'tsquealdon'tsquealsdon'tsquealdon'tsqueal. Damn it I'm probably going to squeal a little.

I'll admit it. I've got a guilty pleasure for this series. When the movie first came out I was all "I want to BE Selene", and not the whole broody bullshit either. Looking good in leather, super strong, gorgeous, fucking up anything that got in her way? Plus a little bit of vampire stuff is just... eeeeeeeee. I like fangs, okay? But... being a vampire would be ill for the setting's current time, as everyone's on a freaking hunt for vampires while Lycans are pulling the strings. So being an ageless immortal is probably the way to go. NOTICE ME SELENE.

Mostly because most people don't know Valkyrie Profile that well, but they've heard of Worm and Fate because those are fairly popular. There are a lot of gems throughout the chain that are ignored just because they're in jumps that aren't particularly famous/infamous.
>>
How dangerous is Darksiders?

It's also because people like having lots of fiat abilities that cover all their bases rather than one thing that makes them arbitrarily powerful over time, which is basically the same deal as being a dragon in DnD.

So, I never really got into this series but I was kept appraised of it by my younger brother, who at the time had more reliable everything including cable and internet, so I have a basic understanding that may or may not be good enough. Had an odd conversation with one of the Magical Girls this time around though.
"You know you've become kind of a monster right?" I glanced over at her from my flagon of ale.
"How so?" My mind locked onto this problem.
"Yuno just killed that woman and you have no problem with it at all." Her eyes softened. "I get that she's mostly over that whole thing but you didn't even flinch when she flipped out that silver dagger of hers."
"It's starmetal," I corrected instinctively even as I walked over to the woman's cooling corpse and lit it on fire, "you do know that I can see the auras of those objectively Evil right?" She nodded and I continued. "I have no idea who or what she was but her aura was black as pitch and ugly with velvet sin," I watched the flames coil around bones, "she might've been a known evil enchantress with how fast Yuno cut her down but all I could see was the darkness in her soul. Yuno's gotten over that whole 'kill everyone leave us alone together' thing." I sighed as my mind twisted slightly on a memory ached and I felt the beginnings of headache. "But you are right. I felt nothing but trust in Yuno and my own sense. I know for a fact that I can still be fooled, I got that message loud and clear back in the Tower."
"You don't look so well." She said, tone sad.
I just nodded.

Oh. That explains a lot!

Let's see-looking back at that point in my chain, I'd gotten most of the Drop-In perk tree and the stasis power and-yes, alchemy.

It's been a while since I've thought of this jump but I'm pretty sure I summarised it as Bonnie and Clyde, but with magic & stuff.

No Hormunculus body right off the bat, though. I am actually unsure if I'd have the opportunity to get enough elf flesh to take a crack at it after the jump, since I'll be rather busy during this one. And in my defence, ToDaG is a long, long way off.

And I'm pretty sure trying to artificially Hormunculisise myself is going to be an uphill battle considering I'd pulled off my first Darkhallow 7 jumps ago, so my "biology" is probably all messed up.

I'll probably just stick to jabbing the Eye of Magnus with the Staff of Magnus a whole bunch.

So has anyone played Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE? It's a game that came out a while back, I heard about the premise and thought it sounded crazy but never really looked into it. But I'm watching an LP right now, and it is insane. Imagine if you crossed Shin Megami Tensei with Fire Emblem and made it an idol competition anime. Now imagine that there was literally no metaphor in that last sentence. It's a game about a talent agency whose employees summon the spirits of Fire Emblem protagonists to fight the Devil with the power of music and friendship. I have no idea how to turn this into a jump, but I want to just so I can bring things from it to its component settings. They help seek prey, tearing at flesh with fang and claw and spilling blood just as effectively as the followers of the Lord of Skulls. They also make loyal companions as well, making them favored under his gaze. As a token of his favor, you have been granted the knowledge and skill to train and breed faithful hounds of your own. They will never betray you, will always grow strong and especially large for their species, and will quickly adapt to your style of combat to compliment you. …should it please you, if their species allows it their fur will be luxurious and soft as well.

On a somewhat more serious note/criticism. I disagree with the freebie/whatever for Khornates giving you a immunity to psychic abilities out of universe instead of magic abilities. Given that the warp deals more with demons/gods, sorcery, and other mystical bullshit, it feels more magical than anything, especially since Fantasy calls it magic, and the psyker term seems more tacked on in order to represent the scifi label of 40K than anything else.

Well, certain jumps like Evangelion and Elfen Lied might as well be renamed "In which the Jumper interferes and changes the entire plot because fuck you stop hurting these children you dicks." I also interfered in Soul Eater, giving Crona some much needed therapy and training while also smashing Asura with a hypermode enhanced UItimate Rider Kick. So I hit him with a kick that could at least sink Japan normally and is now multiplied ten fold. Needless to say, he might be immortal, but I don't think he'll be coming back from that for a LONG time, especially since I used that one perk from...I think Banner Saga? I also brought Asriel and Chara back to life in Undertale, and unleashed the wrath of God upon Cinder in RWBY.

I get that. But it seems like psyker is a completely superficial term. I'm not quite autistic enough to pen down the exact differences between psychics vs magic in terms of metaphysical properties, but generally it seems like psychics are more scientific/based on physical properties such as the mind/brain, where as magic is based on out of the body/metaphysical properties such as the soul.

And given that the a lot of 'psychic' abilities that Khorne opposes is outright called sorcery, it feels like magic is a better term for the kind of shenanigans that a patron of his would be protected from.

Or even supernatural/divine, since the idea of Khornates is drawing from their own 'strength' (whether that strength be physical, mental, or something else) kind of opposes any outside interference.

There's a difference between "shit on Taylor for literally everything" and "Taylor is a massive hypocrite who basically has 'it's okay when *I* do it' as her catchphrase and thinks she's above criticism because she was bullied."
>>
>>49586449
>has 'it's okay when *I* do it' as her catchphrase
Taylor's biggest problem, her biggest, is she's incapable of seeing things from other people's perspective.
Which leads to her self-righteous attitude.
>>
>>49586403

Simurgh probably turned Taylor into Khepri, since thats the only time she was ever in range of the Simurgh. But I'd argue Contessa is the one responsible for Taylor becoming Skitter and Weaver.

Sorry, also wanted to ask about the No Master Sword Run. So you start in the Dark World, no Hyrule, no Sword, and a lot of enemies. Once you defeat all the enemies and collect all the distortions to enter the Light World, does Hyrule exist there as normal so you can experience the plot as normal? (Minus any invasions from the Dark World since you already emptied it out? I have not played this game before.)

The Hat option, does it have to be an imported companion, or can it just be a talking hat non companion (unless you import it as a companion in another jump), or just a plain hat?

If take the disadvantage "You're a hat, kid" can you switch you can your wearer between mini and normal size?

Is there a group companion import option?

Might I suggest one free with the 4 swords option, where you can import 4 companions who each could represent an aspect of the psyche, imported as heroes with physically identical bodies and identical history in the world, (since they were one person until
just recently) They get the Hero Background and 300 CP, and their smith's swords all look like a Four Sword, (which seems to be busted since they cannot recombine, but will become a working Four Sword of their own once the jump ends.)
>>
>>49586476
I don't remember Taylor hearing the music/scream though. Maybe I forgot it.

Either way... Taylor deserves an honest chance. And it's amusing that she may get that because another version of her went through all of that.
>>
>>49586474
>Do you know what his arms would look like if his pauldrons actually worked like that?

Like a fucking arm? I don't see what you think you see.
The Pauldron doesn't half to be attached to the shoulder. It can be attached to the arm or the armor itself and then the armor will move it around for the arm.
>>
>>49586476
There's no need to blame Taylor's villainy on Contessa or Simurgh, except in the general sense that everything that happens in Worm is in some way their fault. We know who plotted to turn Taylor into a horrible person: It was Tattletale. From the beginning she was manipulating Taylor to turn her into a useful tool. And yes, she did have some altruistic motives there, she genuinely wanted to prevent Taylor's spiral into depression. But Lisa was also using classical brainwashing tactics, augmented by her shard's social analysis abilities, to take a naive young girl and turn her into someone who would willingly do horrible things to protect the Undersiders and their interests.

To each their own I guess. She's definitely one of the more logically reasonable characters in the series, what with being a regular human and all.
>>
>>49586598
>Like that time when she totally saved the Post-Golden Morning word when she convinced Glastig Uaine into becoming a hero
Did you not read the epilogue? Ciara decided to become Valkyrie on her own, Yamada did very little to convince her to do that. So either she's useless, or she's ridiculously effective and subtle.
>>
>>49586387
Even if you think it's a superficial term, the setting apparently doesn't. It deliberately calls sorcerers those who are psychically gifted enough to raw upon the Warp in ways that aren't strength-boosting like Librarians or subtle divinations like the Eldar, and even the Emperor has said psychic abilities that could be DESCRIBED as sorcery was banned during the Council of Nikea.

In that world Sorcery is a term for a certain brand of psionic abilities. Ergo, 40k sorcery is psychic in nature, and that's what the perk is going to affect. If you want something that is an immunity to magical spells and energy, head to Negima.
>>
>>49586598
It's not like we don't have other characters amazing at talking people into things. One might even say they're so good at it they have a 'superpower'. Nothing she did is something other characters could have done as good or better and like anon above says, she didn't even really do anything anyway because Glaistig already decided to do it.
>>
>>49586536
Once back into the Light World you'll be able to persue plot. Monsters will still be a thing since Vaati still has access to a chest full of demons.

>The Hat option.
You can always get the Drawback hat if you want just a sentient hat, but to get shrinking powers one of your companions is going to have to seat your temple.

>You're a Hat, kid.
I'd allow you to import yourself as such a hat yes, as well as count for any other head gear related things in Jump.

>Might I suggest...

Besides, it's not like there's any real difference between psychic powers and magic. >>
>>49586633

Ciara decided not to leave and stayed to talk to Yamada. And after that talk presumably, she became Valkyrie. So it is reasonable to assume Yamada contributed to her decision if after they decided to have their unknown talk that she decided to become a hero.
Unless were assuming Yamada is just a worthless character, then assume she does nothing all you want.

You craft the Four Sword in the Minish Cap. I tried to keep it as a huge points drain, but something you can buy, since people could just steal it anyway in Jump. Also it is a big thing in the late game because the Master Sword is sealing something and can't be used against Vaati and he can only be harmed by the Four Sword at that point, though Link having a bit of the Light Force and Tri-Force backing helped.

Preface: I don't know jack about Advance wars.

Critique wise, I would like at least one more item in the 100 and 300 tiers to match the 50 and 600 tiers. Format wise maybe up the line spacing a bit, as everything seems a bit too compact.

Also, question: how big is the meteor in the alien capstone?
>>
>>49586718
>I just said I companioned Yamada to help Taylor.
No, you said that she was someone capable of preventing the end of the world. Which is wrong. She's a good therapist. She's not "talk someone out of ending the world" good. Ciara made the decision to not be evil before talking to her, the therapy session didn't change that.
>>
>>49586718
You're the one who claimed she was the only ones who could stop the end of the world. That was what people were responding to, since it's very common for the fandom to portray Yamada as far more important/effective then she actually is. Try not to switch it over to say she was the only non powered person when people point out how you're wrong.
>>
>>49586725
I'm not trying to get you to. By now I'm used to Jumpchain having a lot of distinctions that don't make much sense based just on what names are used for a thing. I just want people to acknowledge that any such distinctions are arbitrary, not based in anything about how the thing works.
>>
>>49586729
It's difficult to say how big it is, really- scale isn't the most consistent thing in Advance Wars. Units take up one square on a grid each, and the meteor has a radius of 3 squares. Jumpwise... maybe a 50 meter radius? It's meant to be able to take out a bunch of enemies at once from a long range.

Definitely correct me if I'm being stupid and it's way too powerful/weak. Scale isn't really my strong point.

Yeah, Tag Power does have weird wording out of context. I'll fix it.

The meteor is on the small side, yes, though I should point out that it does actually take out a full football field- it's a 50 meter radius, not diameter. It's on the smaller side in the games, so I think the number's okay for now.
>>
>>49586856
>Unless its that very moment you both seem to disagree with?
It is. Because Glaistig Uaine says that she could kill everyone, if she wanted to. Not that she does want to. If you follow the flow of the conversation, it's quite clear that "not killing everyone" is something that she's already decided on, and she's just putting on a tough front because she doesn't know how to act when not being the harvester of the dead. Yamada does help her, I'm not denying that. Like I said, she's a good therapist. But what she does for Ciara isn't convincing her not to kill everyone, it's convincing her that it's okay that Ciara doesn't know what to do with herself. That she doesn't have to put up the tough facade to hide the aimlessness she feels, and that if she doesn't want to kill anyone, it's okay for her to admit that. I don't think Glaistig Uaine was ever actually going to hurt anyone, she just wanted people to think she would because being the scary ghost lady is what she knows how to do.
>>
>>49586621
Hey hold up. I was just going off of a typical definition of psychic vs magic, not trying to grab a power from a setting. But if you're defining psychic as simply a thing that a specific setting calls psychic, then that's fine too.
>>
>>49586823
So, I wanted to know just how much damage this would do in IRL terms, so I used http://impact.ese.ic.ac.uk/ImpactEffects/ in order to estimate the effects of a 50 meter meteor at 11 km/s. Assuming it's made of dense rock, the meteor would break apart about a mile and a half above the ground. It also doesn't create the iconic crater, but instead impacts in several spots, and the airblast is capable of ripping out 90% of trees from the ground and destory most buildings as far away as 5 km.
>>
Listen, here's how you deal with Golden Morning:

>1. Go to Elite Beat Agents, get the perk that lets you collect energy from bystanders
>2. Use Cauldron's resources, by which I mean Doormaker, to connect to multiple global populations
>3. Play "I Need a Hero" and funnel the energy into Eidolon to let him fight Scion

Literally the perfect plan.
>>
>>49586980
Or you could just use Rick's Portal Gun to go to the Earth with Scion's real body and dump a pile of antimatter into it.
>>
>>49586970

>nothing like that at all because you directly say Yamada is one of the three characters to stop the end of the world
Wrong I said
>She's one of the three charcters to diffuse or otherwise stop the end of the world as it was

So yes, this was probably misinterpreted. Because before The anon at the top of my post corrected me, I was under the believe that the three that prevented the end of the world was Contessa when she "killed" Eden early in the cycle, Khepri when she killed Scion and Yamada when she "convinced" Glaistig to not kill everyone.

Which she didn't, because now I see the anon at the top of the post has a more correct viewing of the interraction.
I'm not backtracking.

If I got super tech savvy, I could probably have my AI establish communication with an Endbringer, which is something I will never do until he's strong enough to give them a run for their money in power.

Theres also Ouroborous Virus from GUNNM I think? That could help hack biological people, so maybe with centuries to study I could make it work on whatever the fuck anatomy the shards work with. Maybe try my hand at making Starro-like control machines that hijack anything it touches?

Who knows. My main form of cyberhacking would've been through my own D-Ripper.

No, but the actual satellite that is Synapse is in a moon-shaped structure. I don't remember its exact scale, but it is pretty huge. Enough so that dropping it into the ocean will, at minimum, probably cause huge oceanic disturbances.

>>49587189
I have this bizarre aversion to jumping my own jumps, but I find myself just taking drop-in perks and some of the canon Angelroids with me. I actually feel iffy about manufacturing fully sentient beings and then using them as minions. It's why anything I create with that level of sapience is reserved strictly for companionship.
>>
>>49587189
>Have a lot of jumpers used the tech from Heavens Lost Property to form the basis of their Robot Army?
Well, there are Angelroids in my army but I wouldn't call it an robot army per se. Though there are elements within my army that are both predominantly and exclusively Angelroid.

Though once they've served their terms they're free to move on to other things. Lots of them end up doing exploration, disaster relief, and S&R work.

>I'd love some criticism.
First, thanks for making the jump!

>Background Locations
Look Good, and Lucky 7 makes a return, nice!
And #8 is the problematic location, as it should be

You need to add a "Or pay 50 CP to choose Age, Gender, and starting Location"

Dual Strike: needs lesser versions for those who take fewer companions, like 50 CP for one, 100 CP for 2, 200 CP for 4, or 300 for all 8.

Also since this is a war game, you can have a free "All your Companions" option there they can be freely imported as non-com, soldiers or support personnel under your command, limited to body mod levels physique, no supernatural powers or abilities, but a free non-com/soldier, etc background with all the skills and knowledge someone with that background has.

>600 CO Power
+300 (no discount)
This is to much. Instead say "If someone has Both CO Power, And Tag Team (From Drop In Tree) then the Tag Team Partner also gains the benefits of CP Power, and you can do a Tag Power Attack if both gauges reach max"

>Items
Ok, not spectacular, but not bad. Tank and Mega Tank need a rider "These Tanks are super comfy and spacious inside. You can ride these around for fun and no one thinks it that you do so, or that you have a personal tank, even in other jumps."
>Black Crystal Seems a bit expensive, what with the "drains life force from the planet" downside

>Drawbacks:
Need several more +100 CP drawbacks, and a couple more +200 Drawbacks.
the +600 CP one needs to be split into two, one +300 one that seals your power, and one +300 CP one that pits you against everyone,
Because the you against everyone could be fun with max companions, where you are your own side in the War (White Sun or something)
And sealed powers if you wanted to just follow the plot and not make waves.

lower drawback ideas:
Recurring Tutorial Mode.
They only tanslated the subtitles, not voices
Everyone's favorite Tag Team Partner
Stuck in Mission Control
2nd in command to the actual CO, who is a but dim.

Thanks for the great feedback! You're spot on about the AGL and Dual Strike- fixing those now.

About CO Power, I'd argue that it's an expensive perk for good reason. You get a good effect plus a general combat buff applied to EVERY ally you're fighting alongside. Tag Power only buffs this further, applying another good effect and more of a buff.

I'm not going to add a perception filter to the tanks. They're very obviously meant for war- if you want to ride around in them for fun, there are always perception filter perks in other jumps.

Black Crystal is expensive despite the drawback because it can heal anything that's not dead and fix anything that's not broken beyond repair immediately. It's a very powerful effect, so it needs a little balancing with both points and other effects to prevent overuse. A few uses won't damage the planet very much, but anything over that and you start to see some damage.

Excellent ideas for drawbacks. Tutorial seems especially brutal, given how annoying the campaign tutorials seem to be in these games.

>>

Not him, but Medaka is a weird series, assuming you let canon run its course very few people outright die, I think I can count maybe on one hand the amount of people killed. The jump has it where any character you companion lose their powers since they leave the setting.

However on your last question, she'd make a good companion if you ask me, with her nigh-unlimited power gone she'd probably find joy playing second fiddle to the jumper and enjoy slowly gaining back powers as your chain progresses. She's smug, but she was so bored with never losing she basically gonna commit suicide so her boyfriend(?) sealed her powers and went on a search to find someone strong to defeat her.

Companion her, but you'd really be only getting her for her personality and knowledge about abnormalities which is helpful as fuck if you went and got Flask plan data, because abnormalities range from spider sense to controlling oxygen or meta teleportation, shit's like esper powers on steroids.

>You get a good effect plus a general combat buff applied to EVERY ally you're fighting alongside. Tag Power only buffs this further, applying another good effect and more of a buff.
Ah, I assumed Tag team meant ONE partner at a time, because Advance Wars supported that many players on a side (just guessing here). And I wanted the two tag team perks to synergize.

The perception filter for the tanks was because this seems like a tongue-in-cheek game. I would not buy plain tanks just for their battle power (not a lot of utility from those compared to ultra tech and powers, that are less blatantly likely to provoke a response just for having them, and take up less space) but I would buy it for the tank "experience" as it were.

I assumed the Black Crystal is too expensive because I would not ever see buying something at that price when it had a drawback like that, and would probably never use it unless the fate if the world was on the line, and would have to have used all elixirs and similar consumables first. I guess YMMV

>Tutorial seems especially brutal.

So I recently came up with a fun houserule for my newest attempt at a chain. This might appeal to folks who like rolling for their next jumps.

Basically, after your first jump, you roll five times and pick from a list. Nothing special. But how many times you roll depends on one thing - doing something interesting. Basically, the next time you roll for your jump, you get a number of rolls determined by how many writefag-worthy scenes you can picture happening in the jump. Anything you'd consider dramatic, tense, or interesting for an audience to watch. Two good scenes? Two rolls. Three? Three rolls. Capped at 5 rolls.

Should you fail to do anything interesting or new, even if it's not necessarily success or failure, you roll once and are stuck with that result. I refer to this affectionately as the Gatcha System.

If anyone likes rolling or gambling in general, give it a try, if you like?

Seems unnecesarily complicated, yet interesting.
>>
>>49587734
No, no. Basically, you roll a number of times equal to the interesting scenes you had, and whatever you rolled those five times makes a list of jumps that you pick from. So if I rolled on the list of jumps four times, I'd pick from the four jumps I rolled. I'm bad at explaining things, so sorry for the confusion.

Great! She seems like someone I'd enjoy being around, but my lack of knowledge of the series really crippled my sense of how safe she would be.

Unlike some of the common companions like Morrigan, Jibril, Dante, or the various Kancolle girls, I hadn't heard much about Ajimu as a popular choice, so I really wanted some input.

>>49587550
>Companion her, but you'd really be only getting her for her personality and knowledge about abnormalities which is helpful as fuck if you went and got Flask plan data

Looks like I need to research the series in depth. While powers are a consideration, it's hardly the most important factor for me. Building someone up from nothing is more fun, anyways.

Of course, it's a nice bonus if they are easy on the eyes and being smug can be pretty cute, I'm not ashamed to admit I can be a bit shallow about that.

>>
>>49587189
Well I don't post about it, but since I have added both Toons and Angeliods to my catalog of citizens allow me to answer for myself.

I do usually only make so many sapient beings to fulfill roles anyway because a telaoperating pilots or programming can do just as well as a sapient being. And I do allow them to choose what to do if they do decide to leave or do something else.

But to this two details stand out to me. The first if the question of is a freely determinant sapience any better than one made to do a task? We naturally prefer it being our natural state. But is it really better? Is it better to be born from birth without direction or drive as opposed to a purpose you are built to enjoy and be very good at? Some of us thrive on not knowing what we want to do next, but some do not. And is our preference a logical outcome, or simply a bias towards being able to do what we were built to do, anything we want?

Also if I do built a purpose centered sapience and they decide to do something else. Did I just fail them? If you make a being to do a job isn't it kinda your job to make sure they are not only the best at what they can do and enjoy a proper quality of life right doing it? If they don't haven't I in some way failed them?

No need to be a sarcastic cunt anon. I actually read the notes, but it specifically mentioned 'growing up' ie the end of the of the series where most adolescent characters lost their powers. The issue with that is that Ajimu didn't lose her powers. She never grew up, being over a billion years old by the time the series started. Therefore, she likely won't suffer from growing up if you convince her to leave with you. Not to mention, those notes referring to companions specifically refer to abilities obtained by power stealing/copying.
>>
>>49588018
Anon, it also includes podded companions in the note about how powers go away. It's a fiat limit, not how exactly how it works in canon. That's why you only keep cp bought powers, only companions bought with cp keep their powers and the same rules apply to all companions and podded companions. You don't buy Ajimu with cp, thus she doesn't get to keep her powers.

-Rage Everlasting (100CP): The cold, efficient slaughter of simply ripping metal into flesh is sufficient enough to give thanks to Khorne in sufficient amounts, but it’s so… distant. There is no embroiled emotion, there is no thrill, there is no hate. The hatred of seeing one’s enemies alive, the hatred of seeing them last even one moment longer without dying by your hand. That hatred can be channeled, my friend. Should your bloodlust be allowed to consume your mind, to drive you to horrible heights of conflict, you can find that any skill with ranged weapons you possess effectively gets shifted, all pouring to increase your melee skills by the amount of skill you had with those ranged weapons. New heights will be unleashed, and the mastery you possess will be akin to an oncoming train bearing down upon your victims; terrifying and nigh impossible to stop. Give in to your anger.

I'm not arguing anymore about something I don't really care about though so if you want to take this as winning the argument go for it.
>>
>>49588181
Of course there are ways around. The creator included the Flask Plan Data to sneak it through despite everyone at the time yelling about it being too much, so you can just use that to eventually after a long ass time discover how to make them. People are just lazy and want it now with no work because how dare you not let them get easy nigh omnipotence.
>>
>>49587732
The changed companion pricing not costs 400 CP for 8, vs 300. you may want to up their cp stipends to 600-800 like other more expensive companion options, or add a full set discount.

The Tag team perks still imply one if you indent them to effect all allied leaders (ex, Tag Team says "Another Commander" and "Your Partner" implying one other, and and the CO Power rider has "an ally" and "if both" implying a single other person benefits, not multiples.)

>Andy's Spanner
Spanner is a Wrench, right?
Needs a "If a problem could be fixed by simply tightening or loosening some parts (no matter how out of reach they are) the hunch you receive is to hit it with the wrench, which will coincidentally knock all pieces into their proper place"

>Headquarters
Might want to add a "can be a warehouse attachment of you choose not to import it into a particular jump" line or something similar.

I still would like a "you can import all companions, going over 8, but the excess have no special powers" option and/or a White Sun faction to be my own side.

>>49588214
Yes and it says more then just those two words, though you seem to be unable to recognise that. Maybe because it shows you're wrong?

A spanner is a wrench, yes.

Sometime people are pricks, I've been one before and can be if I so wish to again. I was merely pointing out something that should work by the rules of the Jump. Granted you could just grab the Flask Plans and be done with it but what have you.

>>49588148
>No that wouldn't work power stealing and copying are right out.
What about power /sealing/. Cause that's more along the lines of what I was thinking. /Joke.

I get it guys you don't wanna open Pandora's box or something, but what I said by the rules of the Jump is legitimate.

??? - Parts Machine
This machine is the futures answer to part stores. Instead of just going out and buying some, you connect your fight recordings to it, and it grants you the data for you opponents parts. Most of the time, at least. Of course, given that the future has slightly different rules for Robos, you still have to build these parts yourself. There are two other major limitations, it can’t make ‘illegal’ parts till post jump, and it can only spit out one part per fight. If you want a suit of iron man armor, you’ll have to fight him with your Robo a full six times.

This either belongs to drop ins for 400, or to scientists for 600. mostly because im running out of item slots.
>>
>>49588231
But anon, people assume that the jump maker mean it when he said the mechanism by which you lose powers is 'growing up' and that he should have been more specific if he didn't mean that.

From the PDF: All powers learned during this jump which have not been bought by CP are subject to 'growing up', and are lost when your ten years are over.
>>
>>49588262
>what i said is legitimate
No, as has been repeatedly pointed out, it is not. Yes you can use the Flask Plan but everything you've tried to justify is pretty clearly shut down by the jump's note. So can you stop being a wanker for no reason on this when you are painfully obviously wrong?
>>
>>49588267
Feels like more of a drop in item. To me, anyways.
>>
>>49588283
From the pdf- This means powers obtained with ability drain, skill copy, soul steal or other jump
shenanigans, and powers derived from those.

Or do you just not notice 'other jump shenanigans' should include perks gotten from other jumps? It also says that anything you don't buy with cp is lost. You're trying to use only specific parts of the note and ignore the rest of it to justify this, which doesn't work.

But hey, let's point out some other stuff. You can pay 100cp to choose your age, so you can choose to be 2 years old if you want. You still lose your powers after ten years as the jump says, despite the fact that you'd be younger then the characters who still have powers in their teens.
>>
>>49588298
Its also literally from the future, so that might be why.

BR takes place anywhere from 2-5 hundred years after arena.
>>
>>49588309
I'm just saying that it would be much harder to argue this if it instead said this:

All powers learned during this jump which have not been bought by CP are lost when this jump ends, regardless of whether you choose to stay, go home, or continue.

Nothing to consider, nothing to work around, you lose the powers shut up. By leaving in a mechanism other than "fuck you, that's why" they left in the hope that mechanism can be avoided.
>>
>>49588284
>wanker
How wondrous, the wanker wanking his wang.
>>
>>49588365
Sure, hope that is only hope when you ignore EVERYTHING IN THE NOTE SAVE TWO WORDS. It has multiple parts denying it works as people sometimes hope and the 'Adult Mode' workaround relies on ignoring it explicitly saying you can't use other jump's shenanigans to get around it. It'd be like someone saying you can use Cheat Mode on pods despite the creator explicitly saying it's jump-chan created fiat.
>>
>>49588392
Cheat Mode does copy fiat though.
>>
>>49588409
Stasis pods are forbidden, but you are correct for almost everything else.
>>
>>49588421
I can understand why, but do you have a source for that ruling?
>>
>>49588445
I don't have a source on me, but QS repeatedly said that Pods can not be copied in any way shape or form.
>>
>>49588409
Fine, I'll give a different example. It's like saying you can use Cheat Mode as often as you want without adding anything, despite the perk saying it can only be used once a month even if you give it to a companion.
>>
>>49588284
First and foremost my side of this is to show my own view and let you understand it. I am, personally, uninterested in this setting as I doubt I'll ever hit this place without a prompt from the Thread. However I am intreasted in this thought experiment that came about from looking at the notes section.
Let's just overview the text in the document.
>All powers learned during this jump which have not been bought by CP are subject to 'growing up', and are lost when your ten years are over.
Alright so after the decade is done all powers not bought by CP are gone. Not gonna argue this.

>(Maguro and Hitomi, when bought by CP, thus retain their powers.)
An exception to the above rule for Companions who don't spend CP and have no powers that I can tell other than one being a master anylsis and the other being a retired psychosomatic surgeon.

>This means powers obtained with ability drain, skill copy, soul steal or other jump shenanigans, and powers derived from those.
Reiterating the subject matter but I get this because there are a lot of ways to get around the flat ruling unless you do something like this.

>For you and your companions, including companions podded during this jump.
Blanketing everyone, except the exceptions above as noted, even the Pods are effected.

>Yes, stealing Hundred Gauntlets and using Real Eater to turn it into All Fiction by yourself was a very smart move, but... please don't.
Hadn't thought of that but must have been meantioned back when this was being made.

My proposed loophole relies completely on internal mechanics (Yes this is going against the spirit of the rules, but is still by the rules legit). Using the abilities shown from the setting in question.
1. The Podded Companion passes her powers over to the CP Bought Companion
2. Podded Companion goes in Pod.
3. CP Bought Companion retains their powers because they were bought with CP.

Thought Experiment over.

Thank god, Terminator is over. That was a stressful ten years. So, I'm the cousin of one of the writers over at Sterling? Hmmm... Well, I think it may be time to make use of my mob connections and build my own company. I'll market my technology and have the people over at Sterling advertise it. Maybe see what I can do about ending the Vietnam war and the Cold War with less bloodshed on both sides.

Except your thing breaks the 'other jump shenanigans' rule in the notes. There are NO ways around that. The note very clearly says no jump shenanigans can be used to get around this. This is a basic flaw in every single argument that's been used to try and get around it, including yours.

But hey, sure, let's point out how else you're being wrong. Companions bought with cp still fall under the rule about no getting powers they didn't pay cp for. They get what they come with but anything else goes away at the end of the jump. The note specifically includes your companions, which Maguro and Hitomi are, meaning they lose any powers they didn't have when bought.

So basically, no, your solution breaks multiple of the rules outlined.
>>
>>49588481
Yes. I can get you a WIP of it, but the item section is only about 2/3 done, and there are only a few drawbacks.

Also, potential dragon race capstone booster.
>>
>>49588550
Alright, just checking. I was considering picking it up if that was still open by the time Disgaea and Captain N were done. If you've already made this far on a headway of it, carry on. I look forward to see what you put together.
>>
>>49588132
>So all I gotta do is by one of these two, have her shift her all that shit over to the one I bought, pod her and then shift it all back at a later date? Just saying there are ways around this.
>>49588143
>No, they retain the powers they got with cp.
But they did not buy any powers with CP. You bought them with CP, and according to the jump that means they kept their powers. I am going to have to side with Gaunlet here, because by your ruling they have no powers at all after the jump, which is directly and explicitly contradicted by the note.
>>
>>49588566
Massively barebones and it needs a racial section, but here.
>>
>>49588521
>Except your thing breaks the 'other jump shenanigans' rule in the notes
Sorry, you are using "shenanigans" to mean "Stuff I disagree with"

This makes your ruling worthless due to bad faith debating.
>>
>>49588593
Will there be an option to be a Sacred Gear?
>>
>>49588521
>>(Maguro and Hitomi, when bought by CP, thus retain their powers.)

This statement implies that, when bought with CP, they retain all of their powers. It does not limit it to "their original powers" or "the powers they canonically had at the date the jump ended".

Merely "the powers they have". Therefore, it could be argued that if they have a power at the end of the jump they keep it.

>>49588617
I hope you like being a dagger/axe/sword/back massager.
>>
>>49588588
Not 'their' CP nor them buying powers with cp of their own. The powers only need to be bought with CP, it specifies nothing on whose. You buy them with CP, they come with their own powers thus they are bought with CP. Thus they keep those powers. Everything else comes under the notes restrictions because it is not bought with CP in any twisting of the wording.
>>
>>49588521
>Companions bought with cp still fall under the rule about no getting powers they didn't pay cp for. They get what they come with but anything else goes away at the end of the jump.
The jump does not actually say this. It says they keep their powers, because they did not pay CP for any powers.

You are inventing a rule that the jump does not state, and then saying Gaunlet is breaking it.
>>
>>49588611
Okay. Please tell me how pods and other jump's perks don't count as other jump's shenanigans. Further, tell me how twisting words and ignoring rulings makes their rulings worth more then mine?
>>
Fine, fuck it. Whatever. Obviously you all rather abuse and ignore rules to get power then have the slightest respect for a jump. >>
>>49588521
>Except your thing breaks the 'other jump shenanigans' rule in the notes.
No it doesn't because it simply uses the powers already in the Jump. Nothing else other than the Pod were external.

>But hey, sure, let's point out how else you're being wrong.
Sure.

>Companions bought with cp still fall under the rule about no getting powers they didn't pay cp for.
Indeed.

>They get what they come with but anything else goes away at the end of the jump.
Yep.

>The note specifically includes your companions, which Maguro and Hitomi are, meaning they lose any powers they didn't have when bought.
Multiple notes on this one.
1. Maguro and Hitomi are both exceptions in the not as per 'when bought by CP, thus retain their powers' which can be taken to mean that all powers they have are under the benediction of the noted exception. This is explicit in nature. Meaning that any powers they gain during the Jump thanks to the Jumper stick as well as they are power and you did, indeed, pay CP for Maguro and/or Hitomi. This is how Rules as Written works.
2. If we go by your meaning neither of the companions you have to pay 300 cp for will have no powers because they have no cp to spend on their powers.
3. For 400 cp you get 8 companions who have 400cp each.

That is not how debating works, you have the messed up definition of shenanigans, you need to defend it, and convince us your definition is what the text means.

But be careful here, because you are coming close to simply shitting on other jumps by assuming the perks they offer, and have paid for, constitute 'shennaging' just by using them.

And "don't fuck with someone else's jump" is one of the primary foundations of Jumpchain. Which you seems to be violating in your attempt to accuse Gaunlet of the same.

Judging by Lilarcor it's possible in any of the D&D jumps. Just trap your soul and jam it in a magic sword. Or possibly a less fatal method, as that sounds like a good way to count as dead long enough to lose your chain.

Let's start a new conversation: If you had to pick something other than a Tier 1 class in a D&D jump, what would it be and why?

I'd pick Warmage, because it casts like a Sorceror would if they knew their whole spell list and with the correct prestige class can tack on the entire Cleric list without too many issues. And hit that sweet Time domain for shenanigans.
>>
>>49588918
Is Bard Tier 1? Probably Bard then.
>>
>>49588593
Looks good.

I'd say, that instead a not-quite-capstone-booster, for the races to be expanded, so you can choose your angelic rank/devil family/youkai clan/dragon class, with different prices for each tier ( a bit like in SMT).

Also could make perk based on the Brave Saints, to mirror the Evil Piece-based ones.

And while people will hate me for saying this, don't be afraid to up the price on the Longinus, because they definitely are (mostly) bullshit enough to be worthy more than a thousand.

The not being able to get stuff locked behind cp in other jumps has the really bad implication that you can get any martial art not locked behind cp even if it is in other jumps. I'd suggest correcting it to just stuff found in DxD.

I think this really needs a rewording, considering it's easy to take it as removing any sort of cost or drawback or negative part to using any non evil object which is absolutely broken.

The clause in the alien tech perk about always being able to be reproduced is bizzare and unreasonable. Even dumb cavemen can reproduce advanced tech?

I think there are werecars in Futurama. Not offered in the jump but it'd be hilarious to find someway of replicating it in Terminator and watching Skynet freak out.

Don't know if as it is it's worth 600cp, maybe expand it so you can do things that are normally taboo for your species? Like if you're a vampire you'd still be weakened/killed by sunlight but are able to enter people's homes without permission?

>Jumpers, when was the last time you broke space-time?

Right now.

Jump #164: Rick and Morty
>Ace of Wands, reversed (A surge of vitality, creativity, or fertility that can set dangerous events in motion.)
Now that's a fitting card for this jump...
>Age: 80?
>Location: The Garage
>Identity: Rick
>Drawbacks: Wanted Man (+200), The Council of Ricks (+300)
Being wanted by the Federation is one thing, but the Council of Ricks? Is this, at last, a worthy challenge?
...nah. But they might still give me a run for my money.
>Focus On Science (Free, Rick)
If I get pissed off, I can science the shit out of everything. Worth it.
>Hidden Wavelength (1300)
I think masquerading as an innocent child might be pushing it a bit far, but this could still be very useful.
>Genius (1000, Rick)
Look. Ricks are geniuses. But while I look like a Rick, I'm not. I'm much more than that. I'm a sober Rick. And there is nothing more dangerous than a sober Rick.
>Personal Space (960)
You know, I take personal space pretty seriously, but you gotta know where to draw a line. And that line is right outside my personal space.
>Portal Gun (350)
Once I start thinking with portals, I am sure as hell not stopping.
>Interdimensional Goggles (Free)
Hey, I need to be able to map out the portals somehow. I'm sure I can adapt these to not just look through the eyes of my alternate self.
>Grappling Shoes (300)
Actually, these might be very useful.
>Concentrated Dark Matter (200)
Huh. Simpler recipe than I thought. I'll be keeping this tucked away.
>Microverse Battery (0)
...honestly I'm less interested in using this as an infinite supply of energy as I am interested in replicating it so I can have it produce energy on MY terms. Screw the little people inside, they can do what they want.
>>
>>49589547
So, it turns out that I wake up as a Rick. And I think it's time to stop drinking. In fact, it's time to change a lot of things. So what if I moved back in with my daughter and her useless husband and their kids? Morty's a good kid, just needs some confidence. Summer? Honestly, she's pretty good too. But they all deserve better than a drunk dragging them around and accidentally apocalypsing all the time, and while it's gonna be more normal than they might expect (within certain boundaries), I'm gonna be a decent dad to Beth. I'm going to try to pull Jerry out of his rut and get him to get a job - I'm sure he would do just fine taking random companies' catalog orders or something - and I'm going to actually be decent to the kids. With only occasionally dragging them into crazy business. We're talking maybe every couple months, not weekly or more often.

Of course, it's a big multiverse out there. I'm not gonna be BORING. The important thing to keep in mind is that I can clone myself. And a clone of myself is the one that's staying home with Beth and Jerry and the kids. I mean, it's me so I'm experiencing that too, but the multiverse is too interesting to sit still in. There's a lot I need to see out there. And it's all gonna go south when I step outside the boundaries set by the 'rules' laid down by the council of Ricks, of course. Which should take maybe a month. MAYBE two. But screw them, why should I play by their rules? So they want to come hunt me down, that's fine. Let them try. It's not like my attempt to take down the local Federation from the inside worked, and targeted assassinations didn't really do it either, though at least they didn't trace them back to me. Hacking them to throw them into chaos worked a little better, though.
>>
>>49589554
But no, the thing is, when you're a sober Rick and literally every other Rick (except one) is an alcoholic... poisoning the well when it comes to alcohol is surprisingly easy. And sure, I'm dealing with absolute geniuses all around, but there are always ways.

And the day will come where 99.999% repeating of the multiverse's Ricks simultaneously grab their chests and keel over from all of their internal organs spontaneously liquifying. Sure, there'll be a small fraction that survive from sheer dumb luck like C-137's, or alien biology like the Cronenberg Rick, or a handful escaping via cloning technology or not taking part in the council of Ricks, but that's why I'm also stealing a doomsday device and planting it in the dimension that holds the council of Ricks so that I can rip a hole in the fabric of spacetime.

Rick Sanchez is simply too dangerous. No one man should have that kind of power, no matter how many of him there are.

Unless he's me, of course.
>>
>>49589524
Wait... That actually affects DXD vampires? I was just using a generic vampire as an example.

>Weaknesses

>Being creatures of the night, Vampires are weak against sunlight. Vampires also need to drink blood occasionally to stay alive. Vampires are beings that can’t enter buildings which they haven’t been invited to come in. They cannot walk across running water and hate garlic. Like Devils, Vampires are also weak against objects related to the Church, such as crosses and holy water. They also can't heal themselves unless they sleep in their coffins.

Missed this sorry. Actually, a Goa'uld parasite can choose to leave a host without harm (other than the all the mental horror and trauma of having been host to an evil monster) if they choose. To'kra (the "good" faction of the Goa'uld species) do this occasionally during the series.

It's just that being evil mind-controlling parasites and considerably weaker outside of a host, they're not usually willing. That's why sufficiently advanced tech/surgery is needed to remove them without killing the host (because the parasite is 1, wrapped around the brain stem and 2, if memory serves it also releases a potent toxin/poison on death).
>>
Yo, just leaving these here.

A Knife, Always [100]: You have supernatural skill to hide a singular hold-out weapon on yourself in such a way that no one can find it. This hold-out weapon if melee can’t be larger than a boot knife with a five inch blade and if it’s ranged it can only have one shot before it become bereft of ammo. It may not be much but it may just be enough if you ever find yourself tied up in a pinch.

The 200 has already been reviewed.

Martial Artist Mystery of the East [400]: You are a master of the Exotic Martial Arts that hail from the East. This style, a derivative of the art taught in the Land of Celestial Dragon Monks, means that you are never without a means to defend yourself. Other than being increadibly hardy from the training you are also able break brick walls with your fist and you could leave a lasting impression on an Ork Big Un if you really got mad. You have skill in unarmed combat of all types and have an intimate knowledge of how to use that as a lever to grant you openings in melee that you otherwise wouldn’t have.

Lad’s Got Talent! [600]: You seem to pick up little things that others do with startling ease. Just by being around someone who could teach you a skill you can learn by mimicking their actions for days on end. It might seem a bit mocking but you’ll accumulate skill at a blinding rate by doing so and soon be adept at the skill that your ‘mentor’ gave you. Mastery of the skills you get ‘trained’ in is up to you but you’ll find that you have a sizeable boost to your learning speeds as well on top of your strange ability to get ‘mentors’.
>>
>>49588593
Willpower based abilities are pretty rare, boosting them doesn't seem capstone worthy.
>>
>>49589730
What is this for? The perks look neat, but without context I can't judge them properly.

>>49589761
Warhammer Fantasy: Mordheim, City of the Damned Jump
>>
>>49588918
I'd say "it would depend on the campaign" but then you mentioned it would be a jump.

So I'd go Sorcerer / Rainbow Servant / Mystic Theurge if prestige classes were allowed, otherwise I'd go Sorcerer / Warlock or just Warlock. This _eventually_ gives me access to all arcane and divine spells and items, and since I'm jumping, time isn't really an issue.

If you're talking 3.5 Edition, anyway.
>>
>>49589106
400 cp isn't exactly measly. That's almost half your cp, and around the cost of a capstone booster.
>>
>>49589907
>Around
Well, no, it's cheaper. By 100cp but it's still cheaper. Also gives a much bigger boost then most capstone boosters, which usually only give one effect of fair power and an upgrade to any capstones you've bought. This perk puts you in the top tier of power of any race (And the higher tiers of the whole series) except maybe dragons if they decide not to do dragon kings.
>>
>>49589974
You also have to buy your race though. For dragons it comes to 800cp all up. 500cp with discount for anything other than human and 600cp if you choose a race not from your background. I'd say the price is high enough.
>>
>>49590025
Dragons would also be getting by fair the biggest boost if they do get to be kings. Race isn't a good justification because you get stuff from your race, it's not some tax of points. So it's still cheaper overall then other capstone boosters and you haven't addressed the problem of it offering so much power either.

Different anon from >>49589974
I don't really see a problem with it. If you become a Paragon of a Dragon it costs 800cp which seems fine and Dragon Kings seem to be around Ultimate Class Devil level. Even if you become among the top tier of whatever race there are still plenty of individuals way stronger than you. And it says in terms of raw power and potential, not actual skill. You'd probably lose a fight against any of your supposed peers with just that.

I don't think it has anything to do with creating sacred gears, from what I remember its the system that causes devils pain from stuff associated with God.

The last WIP?If you're talking about the DxD jump you true form is on par with the True Dragon or Dragon God.That's two-three tiers above Dragon King.
Dragon King level are not that strong. Only one of them is at the level of Satan with the rest barely having any revelance in the story.
Satans=Seraphs>Fallen>Dragon King>>Cao Cao(without true longinus)
>>
>>49590177
Er, did you meant to quote the other guy? Cause I'm both of the people you linked.

In any case, I think it's a bit of an exaggeration to say there are plenty of people stronger then you, especially if you start at the start of the series or before it. And like the other guy, you seem to make the mistake that the race cost is just some empty price tag you need to pay on top of the 400cp perk, instead of it giving you a 400cp race just to start, with the perk boosting that power massively.
>>
>>49590254
Wait so-basically once you get good at it you fight like an actual Dark Souls hacker?
>>
>>49590270
Wrong quote?
>>
>>49590225
It's kind of vague. It's apparently what causes humans to be born with sacred gears but I don't think the current one with Michael in charge can control that part and it happens randomly with no control over what sacred gears are given out. It's also what causes devils pain when God is mentioned or they touch holy symbols, Michael is able to deactivate this for select Devils. It's also apparently what causes angels to Fall when they defy it's laws. There are a few mentions of it being in charge of providing Gods miracles so that might be referring to the Sacred Gears or it might be able to provide people with blessings of luck or something. It's apparently way weaker since God's death so it isn't as effective as it used to be.
>>
>>49590278

Yep,was suppose to be

>>49589155
>>
>>49590283

Well, that sounds neat. So it's basically being able to establish the abstract concept of holiness that can punish evil elsewhere? Bit abstract, but I'm definitely cool with that.

I'm not saying that you're weak and that many people can beat you. I'm saying you're weak relative to the paragon and don't deserve to be compare to the previous version WIP dragon form.

I then continue on and compare the relative strength of the paragon form of all the races and point out the dragon is actually weakest non-human race.
Also,I'm not saying that you're not strong, but that you're not comparable to the previous WIP(true dragon level full strength)

No discount as well.

>>
>>49590393
Wow I screwed up the format and grammar . I'm gonna try this again.

I'm not saying that you're weak and that many people can beat you. I'm saying you're weak relative to the other paragon and don't deserve to be given the special undiscounted 800 CP pricetag as if you're something beyond the other races.
>>
>>49590273
Yep, meant to quote >>49589907.
Dragon kings aren't really that strong, taking that as an option won't let you be anywhere near the strongest people (Not talking about Great Red, Ophis or any of the Super Devils I mean like the leaders of factions and their equals). You might get stuff from your race but it still costs 800cp all up to be a Dragon King which I think is a fine amount. I also don't think that it mentions what power you start at as a dragon so it might not be as big a boost as you think. What exactly do you think is a fair price for it?
>>
>>49590393
Why are you bringing up the previous version at all? Have to admit your posts makes really very little sense at all.
>>
>>49590273

I could be very wrong here, but I've just scanned the wiki, and it doesn't seem like Dragon King is actually any stronger than the other races.

Of the five Dragon Kings, the single most powerful (Tiamat) is described as having Satan class power.. which would put her on par with the Boosted devils (obviously ). Seraph's - boosted angels - are also equivalent in strength to a Satan-class devil (going off of Michael here) and so is Azazel, for the Grigori.

It seems like there's a level playing field here for all the races with the paragon perk.

Maybe people are looking at Dragons from the perspective of the MC's Super-Dragon? Or maybe I'm missing something here that's not on the wiki.

One thing you can do is compress the frame rate and get a weird superspeed/enhancing movement thing going, another is cutting out frames so you can phase out of existence, another is stretching frames and messing with proportions. I'm not really sure if you can flip frames though.

There isn't really that much difference between SMT's chaos and law though... They both say that the strongest is in charge and that's it.
>>
>>49590442
I'd say they're bringing it up as an example of what was allowed before.
>>
>>49590470
You know, I feel like the Law guy would have some good points if it wasn't for the fact that YHVH turns in into this false utopia where you can live happily and peacefully so long as you obey Him. I feel like if they wrote him as more morally ambiguous it would make Law actually work. As is, Law always involves genocide in someway, be it World War 3 and the second Great Flood in SMT 1, the Megido Arc in SMT 2, the Conception in Nocturne, the obliteration of Tokyo and the elimination of "Unclean Ones" in SMT IV, or the whole "hijacking the Schwarzwelt and using Zelenin to remake the world" plan. If you just had the Archangels, with Michael serving as the militant leader and Gabriel serving as his more reasonable right hand woman, as the leaders of Law with YHVH's own morality left ambiguous like in SMT 1, it would probably work better. At least there, Law had some good points that even the Neutral ending acknowledged unlike the rest of the series which was "LAW IS EVIL YHVH IS A TYRANT".
>>
>>49590534
It kind of worked out in Devil Survivors 1

But Devil Survivors 1 is basically a Persona game anyway
>>
>>49590561
You mean Devil Survivor 2 was a Persona game, because it had Social Links-oh, I'm sorry, FATE. Devil Survivor's endings actually sucked in the original version. Law has Abel become a typical Law tyrant, Chaos has mankind desperately trying to survive as Abel and YHVH fight over the Earth, Atsuro's ending has Amane dead and Japan in control of the legions of demons (oh yeah, THAT can't go wrong.) and Yuzu's ending is a full on bad ending. Only Haru's ending is good, and it's the hardest one to get, and ultimately doesn't do much because Naoya has other schemes up his sleeves apparently and Metatron threatens Abel who apparently has the power of the Overlord dwelling within him still. It only got better in Overclocked.
>>
>>49588593
Basing one of the Devil perk trees after the evil pieces seems like kind of an odd choice, instead of just having you pick one of the ranks with the origin. And having one of the capstones make you an heir of a powerful family/ability isn't half bad, although that might be better off under the racial section.

Also, the boosted version of Dragons seems to be a bit weak for it's price since Dragon Kings are about on par with or weaker than Seraph, etc. yet cost more.

Also, ideas for drawbacks: Maybe one that makes you replace or become Issei in the story? Another that gets you shanghaied into the plot and another that turns you into a perverted idiot?

Which was the one with the Law ending that had you redeeming a demon and it deciding to help people?
>>
>>49590442
>>49589155

This post here was talking about the previous WIP Dragon form.

>>49590459

The previous Dragon form was based on Great Red/Ophis,two of the strongest dragons in existence, far beyond even the heavenly dragon.(boosted devils)

The Heavenly Dragon strength was so great that he was able to take on" ancient Gods of various pantheons on even ground, a feat that not even Satan-class individuals can perform." (vsbattles)

Satan-Lucifer(current was stated to be ten times as strong as his predecessor who was also a Satan Class.

Michael/Seraphs- have powers on par with Lucifer. The rest of the Seraphs are all Satan level as well

Grigori- Leader was able to fight against several strong Satan class. His second command is stated to be Satan Class and almost as good as him. So 2 Satan Class with actual good performance by the leader.

Dragon King- One Satan Class with the rest only ultimate level.
>>
>>49590620
It's more like he refused to bow down to humanity as superior. Humans are children, angels are servants, God likes humans better even if he has angels do all the important shit and that pissed Lucifer off.

Anyway, the idea that Lucifer actually loved humanity and god is a tyrant isn't new. There were several branches of Christian Gnosticism (not always the familiar Sophian type) that believed Lucifer or at least the serpent of Eden was a good guy who was trying to free humanity from slavery and awaken us to our true potential, who then got slapped down by the evil god/demiurge.
>>
>>49590635
That would be Overclocked's Law 8th day. Unlike normal Devil Survivor, Overclock turned Amane's path into the epitome of what Law SHOULD be. DeSu Overclocked was a big improvement over base DeSu.

>>49590620
It's worth noting that he was more a supporter of the old gods in SMT 1, and that his love for humanity came in in SMT 2, which is the most heroic version of him in the series, and it stuck.
