I'm looking to play Kill Team but I've seen there are two versions: GeeDubs and HoR. Which do you prefer and why?

there IS a general for this, ya know >>49469744
>>49505873
People just seemed to be discussing their specific kill team, I just wanted to know which version I should play
>>49505818
Standard killteam for rules that dont work with every army, Limiters on what can be brought, and having to take a whole squad instead of the ones you want.
HoR for a feeling of custumizability, allows 2+ armor, typically removes MCs and gives you neat little almost HQs.
pretty interested in kt desu
what's better, geedubs or hor?

There is no better, it is the difference in how limits are applied, HoR gives more options but locks you to a low number of your specialists. Whereas Killteam forces you to take the minimum squad size.
HoR: less specialist, More options
+ Mini HQ
-/+ 2+ armor saves , Almost no MCs
- Less slots for specialists, no special custom stuff for your specialists
Killteam: more specialists, less options
+ Neat specialist powers
-/+ no 2+ armor, MCs allowed
- Have to take full minimum squad size

I like HoR for options and a feel of small skirmish battles, standard killteam's rules make it so armys like daemons get screwed having to take one troop as half your points sucks
>>49505818
Is HoR official? No?
>It doesn't exist.

Gw version if you want to introduce a newbie to the concept of kill team.
HoR if you want to run a campaign or competitive league, or just want some semblance of balance at all.

>Mini HQ
The mini HQ is simply à character unit upgrade, with some more wargear options.

Not always. They've got some proper HQ choices (chaplains and the like) that have been toned down for KT.

True. It gives armies who would otherwise have no such option. Like Tyranids or necrons
