To be fair, I have two sets of 7D6. Only the ones with rounded corners have the logo on the 1.

I play a lot of games that roll multiple d6s of different "colour." I didn't want to break up the yellow-and-black scheme, so I got the logo'd ones instead. They're clearly different from the regular d6s, but still match the set.

All other dice have numbers (no pips either).

It's an eastern european military flare gun, but they get sold with 12 gauge and 20 gauge inserts for shotgun flares.

Nah mate -- the probabilities are well skewiff. 4d6-3 is not the same as 1d20 by a long shot.

Chances of a nat 1 on a d20 = 1/20
Chances of a nat 1 on 4d6-3 = 1/1296

On 4d6, you're averaging out at ~14, which even at -3 creates a mean of 11 -- compare the 10.5 average of a d20.

4d6-3 is rolling at a higher average power level, with less chance of crits.
