It was surprisingly reasonably priced.

I considered picking up out of curiosity, but Varg's vision for the system didn't win me over; I prefer systems with a broader scope.

There's nothing particularly funny about it, actually. I only read some excerpts and I think it could have been a game from the '90s, with all those extra-precise bits of roll modifiers while some of them are a bit inconsistent with the others.
Even Varg's political inclinations dont seem to transpire too much into it. The only somewhat noteworthy elements are two religions which are basically a bunch of evil vicious zionists and a sect parodying islam, but I think you can easily turn them into whatever kind of evil cult you want without contradicting the book and with most traces of real world religion gone. I honestly think someone reading the book without knowing who Vargr is couldn't guess he's a white supremacist, although they could guess he's a monotheism-hating neo-pagan.
