What are you thinking of from CN2? Prelate seems good, if not for 3 mana which I feel makes Vryn Wingmare sketchy. Powerful effect though, and if you can power it out on the play and say 0 you should be set to win.
Daretti seems like a worse Dack, but is 3cmc that could do something maybe. Leovold is interesting, seems strong-ish but in colours that can't tax opponents counterspells so you have to manually fight counters for it to stick. Once stuck it seems pretty good though.

I play a lot of artifact acceleration, so playing Prelate on turn 2 should be fine and will still be great at shutting off cantrips or important numbers vs some decks (like 4 for storm).

I was also going to try Recruiter of the Guard with a tutor package in my mono white build. I was also including it in my other decks just to increase consistency.

I should really get into modo. Just can't be fucked to buy all the vintage cards again. I play on cockatrice but it's really hard to do anything correctly properly because of shitty players.
Recruiter of the Guard is really sexy. Went straight into the cube before I thought of Vintage application. I think it's still a bit weak of an effect in Vintage unless you can play a 1-2 drop at the same time.
I thought of Werewolf/Eldrazi/Tax suddenly. White Tax + Mayor of Avabruck + Eldrazi; luckily most cards are easy to splash for

I actually already have two Standard decks I built in anticipation of rotation. U/W Spirit tribal and Bant Clues (no CoCo).

I knew Clues would get good with Kaladesh, now I just need a sacrifice outlet and I'll jam it and a couple Aetherworks Marvels in the deck and there, good to go.

Is anyone else getting a slight core set feel about Kaladesh so far? The spoiled cards are mostly pretty simple and there's few new mechanics, most of which just modify the basic creature combat. I think they said they wanted to dial it down with the complexity a bit with this set, and boy do I see what they mean by it. Not complaining before I actually play the set, it's probably good, I just hope limited doesn't become a race who can snowball their stupid Topan Freeblades first and attack attack attack like stupid fucking magic oranges jesus christ i hated that set
