Here's the latest iteration of Jojo's 1d6 Adventure, It's still not perfect, but it's getting close. Any feedback is welcome, but I also need input on the following:

1. How should Progression work? I've managed to capture what I feel is the spirit of Potential/Learning, but incorporating a feeling of gaining skill and experience is someqhat difficult.

2. Need some feedback on Hamon, and suggestions for more abilities based on Hamon, both ones available by default, and ones you can spend points on.

3. How should Undead/Vampirism work, mechanically, and should they be available as a Player option?

4. I need abilities. lots of them. suggest your ideas for abilities homebrewed according to the guidelines in the doc, and i'll incorporate them into the game. Point cost is a must.

Over the last two Threads, we discussed a Semi-Futuristic setting where the big name corporation DIO Industries has a stranglehold on the US government, the economy in general, and generally acts as a tyranny. The main locale is New York, if New York had decided that it wanted to become Detroit, and is thus extremely dystopic.

DIO Industries came about when the holder of the stand [Fly like an Eagle] travelled through time to corner the stock market years in advance, eventually outgrowing and absorbing the Speedwagon Foundation.

The setting was tending towards something resembling Pharma-punk, with Drugs, Body Modification, and Hamon being used in conjunction with each other to develop into some Freakish and downright terrifying abilities. Hamon is extremely common, Hamon Training being a requirement by many Police, Military, and Security organizations. Hamon is often used to mitigate or even neutralize the effects of harmful drugs, and fortify any weaknesses that Body modifications may cause.

Stands remain relatively unknown, though corporations and governments like Dio Industries undoubtedly have researched and weaponized stands to some degree. Notable among the drugs rampant through the streets is ASH, which induces psychic visions in its users, allowing them to perceive Stands and other supernatural effects, due to the creation of a bridge through the user's blood-brain barrier that simulates, in a temporary level, the effects of the Stone Mask's neural acupuncture. Under certain, rare circumstances, this bridge becomes permanent, granting its user persistent extrasensory perception and in rare cases a Stand. ASH is not without its drawbacks, however, and constant use will eventually turn a user Undead, into something resembling a Zombie, though many do not see this as too much of a "Weakness."

The current Jojo is something of a street rebel, fighting against the tyranny of DIO Industries. He's something of a Punk, and is not above fighting dirty, much like Joseph Joestar, even to the point of having both a Stand and being a Hamon user. His stand is based on the song [Rope] by Foo Fighters, which is relatively weak, but increadibly versatile, as it has an insanely high Range and Speed, with the ability to uncoil itself into strands of rope, with two Acts:

In its first ACT, which is its natural state, the Stand is slender humanoid about waist high to Jojo, with four arms seemingly made out of urban scrap. Its primary power is creating a seemingly unlimited supply of silk ropes and it has a significant operating distance. Its secondary ability in this state is the ability to compress itself into a much smaller state, where it can lay in wait for an enemy, as well as convey sights and sounds to JoJo across insanely high distances. It's main offensive ability is to use its rope to strangle, lacerate, or otherwize incapacitate Users

Its second act is triggered when Jojo dumps Hamon into its threads at close range. In this state, its normal body becomes encased in a thick coating of silk mingled with more scrap, and takes on a much bigger, stronger form more in line with the rest of the Joestar family; in this ACT, damage done to its additional components doesn't affect its user; only damage done to its first ACT parts, which forms the core of the second ACT, will transmit pain and injury. If Jojo cuts off his Hamon feed, the 2nd ACT will shatter and the 1st ACT regains its range and compression abilities.

The stand is still not codified, and any attempts at defining it are highly welcome. In particular I'd like to see an ability called "Choke on a Kiss." to keep it in line with the Lyrics from [Rope]

We've yet to name this Jojo, though George, Jordan, and Josten were suggested.
>>
>>49165279
As for characters, we've only defined one in particular:
Alfredo "Red" Zeppelli, a local cop and Hamon user. An extremely skilled Hamon user who channels his Ripple through a set of Knuckle-dusters. These knuckle-dusters have slots on the end, which have bullets set in them. By channeling Hamon through them, Red is able to launch these bullets, and even able to control their trajectory to some degree, though not with the precision that was presented by The Emperor. He may or may not have an extremely weak stand as a way of him being able to see stands, and being able to use in his investigations.

Other characters suggested were a highly intelligent chimp, who is incredibly articulate, though only in sign language, as he's incapable of human speech. The chimp gained sentience after being used as a test animal by the pharmeceutical division of DIO Industries, then escaping.

Also suggested was a Prostitute/Hostess/Escort, who was Headstrong, Sassy, Foul-mouthed, and quite pretty, but it was made quite apparent that she was never going to get with Jojo, or any scene displaying her as anything other than a character, as a form of subverting the tendency for things of that nature to get Realmy.

Feel free to suggest details, flesh out characters, create stands, and otherwise work to finishe this setting. I'm considering running a Quest using this setting, though I would be using the 1d6 system, also posted here, which is not quite ready to be play-tested.

This was the stand I threw at my party last night:
User: Harry Belafonte
Stand:「Bananaphone」

Power: E
Speed: E
Precision: D
Range: A
Durability: A (stand is intangible)
Learning: C

「Bananaphone」is an immobile stand that can be bound to any object near the user's intended target, turning it into a functioning cell phone. Once the stand is bound to an object, it starts ringing in a manner that the target would consider obnoxious or embarrassing, compelling the target to pick up the bananaphone.「Bananaphone」also allows the user to perfectly impersonate any voice he has heard before.

Since 「Bananaphone」has no offensive capabilities whatsoever, the user relies on psychological warfare and relentless prank calling to deter his foes.

>>49165914
This is awesome. I'm definitely going to use this when I want a more psychological/roleplaying session in my Bizarre Adventure.
>>
>>49165279
[Rope] ACT2 has the potential to be the most fabulous of all Jojo Stands, if its silk weaves a magnificent clothed body for itself.
>>
Let's do the album game again, where one of us suggests an album to make and we all make stands for the songs in that album.

Odds decide. I'll go first, Plastic Beach
>>
>>49166085
Possibly, though we were more going for a Scrap Metal/Rope aesthetic. The whole idea is that this JoJo uses rope, snares, and metal traps to get incapacitate or strangle his enemy.
>>
>>49166085
>>49166159
Actually, thinking it over, let's do it. It'll be a hilarious contrast between Street Punk JoJo, and him having this spectacularly fabulous Stand. What does it look like though? Also, are we giving this Stand a Personality, or is it the Silent type like most JoJo stands?
>>

>[Glitter Freeze]

>[Glitter Freeze] appears to be a humanoid pile of radio components with head like a pirate ship covered in antennae and knuckles fitted with Morse code transmitters

>It's power is simply called [Where's North From 'Ere] and with it can covert any object into a radio signal and send it to any location it tunes into with the antennae on it's head. This naturally can be applied to Stands as well as liquids and gasses.

Actually

Yes it exists, It's by the Pet Shop Boys

>>49166114
[Melancholy Hill]

A humanoid Stand with a revolving sphere set in the head. The sphere displays two faces, one sad, one happy. If you look at the Stand's face while it rotates, it absorbs your emotions. The type and degree of emotions absorbed depend on the the face you view as it rotates. If you view it as it goes from Happy to Sad, you lose all positive emotions, and fall into crippling depression. Conversely, if you view the face as it goes from sad to happy, you experience an extreme euphoria, even to the point where you're incapacitated by Laughter(via Joker Gas)

Emotions are stored in the stand, and are even able to be transferred from one viewer to the other.

>>
>>49167556
Make it a Punch Ghost, except that it's a Midget Dino that bites instead of punches. It has A-Rank Speed stats, so it's insanely fast like a Raptor, and give it some kinda ability related to dancing/movement, like inflicting confusion.
>>

Perhaps it's dancing can have a hypnotic effect. IDK, I'll see what I can come up with.

Well, the community seems to think the d10 system works best, but quite honestly d10 dicepool systems are pretty boring. I'm trying to do better with my 1d6 system, but it's still a WIP.
>>
>>49165244
Hamon looks pretty good, but it needs more stuff on Healing, etc. Also you need a System for recovering health.

Vampirism should work exactly like Hamon does. Seems like you've done a pretty good job so far. Looking forward to see the finished product, though a nicer looking pdf might be nice.
>>
A player for a possible campaign has thought of a pretty cool stand.
「Night Alumni」 - a barely visible ghostlike stand that when carefully observe might resemble a woman. This stand only works if the user has a drawn image of the environment ready. (The user is a veteran landscape artist, so no problem to draw one on the fly). If the drawn image is exactly the same or very close to how the real world looks (right now or at the time of drawing), whatever gets changed or removed in the drawing is done by the stand in real life.
So basically if the user draws a city-scape and decides to erase the parked truck, the stand almost immediately erases the truck in real world. The stand can only erase or modify an item's properties, it can't create.
So for instance, it can change the truck's color, flatten it out, severely enlarge it, etc., but it can't add a driver to the car.
Its a fun stand and I think with some rules, it won't be as overpowered as Rohan's. What do you guys think?
Stats are C|D|A|C|A|D
>>
Give me your ideas for main character/villain stands
>>
>>49170213
Villain with a Lovecraftian Tentacle Stand that warps Space around it. Basically has full Spatial control of everything in the area.
>>
>>49167183
「Stylo」
Stand user: Darius Davidson, Code name" 2D
This stand manifests as a highly decorated .44 Magnum with "Stylo" Engraved into the barrel, Under the barrel is a strange almost alien looking attatchment with it's own trigger.

>Stats
Destructive power - B
Speed - A
Precision - C
Range - B
Durability - C
Potential - D

>Ability
This stand works as a gun based stand similar to Sex pistols or the Emperor, The first bullet fired from the magnum is harmless and does not expend any real ammunition, But instead marks the target. The user can now use the underbarrel attachment to create a small portal infront of him. A portal will appear on the first solid object closest to the marked target. If the user fires into the portal the bullet is immediatly moves to the portal on the solid object, The trajectory will Be immediatly Aimed towards the target.

>Combat
This stand is a purely offensive stand, It's main combat use is to make the target try to avoid the shot from the front only to be blindsided from another angle by the actual bullet.

Weakness
This stands primary weakness is that the portals can be cancelled out by destroying the object the target portal is on.
This stand also require reloading although not at often as a regular gun.
The first bullet does absolutally no hard to the target, giving them time to attack before the main ability is activated.

Opinions.... I know it's abit complex

>「Plastic Beach」
「Plastic Beach」 takes the form of a folded up, cliche, laminated brochure. The brochure advertises a fictional resort named "Feel Good Sands". If a person unfolds 「Plastic Beach」 to read beyond the cover, 「Plastic Beach」 will continue to unfold infinitely. Once 「Plastic Beach」 has reached a certain surface area, it will attempt to surround and enclose the target within itself. If this happens, 「Plastic Beach」 will quickly fold itself back up, with no sign of the target. From now on, if 「Plastic Beach」 is unfolded, the image on the interior will include the target that was absorbed, participating in generic and typical beach activities.
>>
>>49167183
「Broken」looks like an incredibly well-made dark blue porcelain vase. It is decorated by colored monkeys all over. Whenever somebody touches「Broken」it will immediately shatter into hundreds of sharp pieces. The person who "broke" it must do everything in their power to retrieve the pieces and put the vase back together. If some of the pieces are missing, the person will search for them until they find it. If some of the pieces are taken, the victim will resort to murder in order to get the vase back together. Once its put together, the victim immediately forgets the everything up until the moment they touched 「Broken」the first time, however, they will be subconsciously afraid of the vase and will not go near it.

So I was thinking over the final boss stand for a Cold War era campaign (because that time was criminally underused. The campaign would focus on the protags going around fighting Soviet stand users while figuring out that they have a great conspiracy to stop America getting to the moon and win the space race for the USSR.

The head KGB guy would have the stand [Dark Side of the Moon], which would have two primary powers. The first would be the ability to influence emotions (ala "lunacy"), where he would make people more aggressive and crazier (think Survivor but able to target and not give super senses). The second would be the ability to generate tidal forces which would let him make waves on land or rip stuff apart. The stats I'm unsure on, but I'm thinking he would have good range and precision but pretty poor everything else. The user himself would just be ripped out of his mind.

Pic would be what the stand looks like in general. Any thoughts?

>「Plastic Beach」 Act 2, 「Welcome to the World of Plastic Beach」
In this Act, 「Plastic Beach」, once it has been opened and absorbed at least one person, can unfold and cover the flat surfaces of the ground and surrounding walls. This creates a zone 30 meters in diameter, taking on the appearance of a 2D coast. Here, 「Welcome to the World of Plastic Beach」 can manifest. 「Welcome to the World of Plastic Beach」 appears as a humanoid figure made of ragged and torn paper. This zone behaves to 「Welcome to the World of Plastic Beach」's will, being able to change aspects of the terrain and buildings. 「Welcome to the World of Plastic Beach」 has the ability to infect any target that it hits with a slowly growing affliction. The target will slowly turn into a solid, pure white, plastic statue, starting from the point of impact. 「Welcome to the World of Plastic Beach」 can refold 「Plastic Beach」 at anytime, with any plastic statues it has created being dragged in with the folding process.

User: Samuel Orotego

Stand: [Simple and Clean]

Power: E
Speed: C-A
Precision: E
Range: A
Durability: B
Learning: A

[Simple and Clean] appears as a pure white outline of an average adult of the viewer's gender; no details are present. Capable of appearing up to 100 feet from Samuel, This stand possesses two separate abilities which make it less of a combative threat than a situational one.

[Simple and Clean] regresses the technology in the immediate area around it, with the area and rate of regression both increasing the longer that it stays. A few moments might result in an iphone 6 turning into a iphone 4, but a half-hour would result in a Nokia, and an hour would end in one of the bulky handhelds of the early 90's. Likewise, the aura's range is only 10 feet at the beginning, but has been recorded to extend up to 1 mile at maximum. Samuel uses this ability to engage in corporate espionage, as few companies are able to handle their records becoming paper copies in this day and age.

The second ability is similar to the first in that it also relies upon [Simple and Clean]'s aura and range. Living creatures within [Simple and Clean]'s Aura find themselves becoming less resistant to disease, with the severity increasing the longer that they are exposed. At maximum exposure, their own internal fauna will begin to kill them.

I think it'd be funny for the stand to be the talkitive one, and jojo is jotaro levels of silent.
This would lead to an act where the stand talks, and jojo has to either lip sync or hide his face.

One of my friends made a stand for that song:

「Walk the Dinosaur 」
Namesake: http://youtu.be/zYKupOsaJmk

Power: C
Speed: C
Precision: D
Range: B
Durability: C
Learning: D

Appearance: a cross between a raptor, an ankylosaurus, and a human.

Abilities:
>「Open the Door 」
「Walk the Dinosaur 」is able to open any object that can be reasonably considered a door, no matter how well secured or locked. Opening a door this way allows 「Walk the Dinosaur 」to place a "trigger" for one of its other abilities on that door, causing any who walk through the door to suffer the effects of whichever ability was placed on the door
>「Get on the Floor 」
The stand stomps its foot on the ground, forcing anyone on the same surface the foot was slammed on (within range) to the ground. (Like Echoes Act 3)
>「Everybody Walk the Dinosaur 」
「Walk the Dinosaur 」can force people to act like dinosaurs by placing its hand on them. The dinosaur the victim thinks they are is decided randomly. This effect wears off eventually, but can be stopped early with sufficient head trauma.
>>
>>49174083
I like the idea of them bickering a lot, and both being argumentative, except [Rope] is more Flamboyant, while JoJo is a punk.
>>
Have a Stand idea, but having trouble figuring out how exactly to put it into mechanics.

The stand is 「Three Doors Down 」, and his primary ability is being able to manipulate the distance between himself and a target. I had two ideas for how to do this.

A) He's a standard low-range high-power punch ghost, who's ability covers his low-range by allowing himself to get right into someone's face quickly to attack them.

B) A weaker and quicker stand who uses his ability to keep his distance from foes, while attacking them from far away by manipulating the distance between his punches and the target, allowing to quickly attack from a long-range.

Higher ACTs of 「Three Doors Down 」 could allow for opening spectral doors between locations, allowing the stand to pop out of one to strike someone before ducking back into it, or allow the user to quickly travel long distances. The doors are only visible to stand users, and I'm debating whether or not people other than the user of 「Three Doors Down 」 could pass through them(without knowing they did in non-Stand user cases, only looking to notice they're suddenly somewhere else).
>>
>>49165121
Here's an idea I had awhile ago, thoughts?

[Needs a name]

Power: A>C
Speed: D>A
Precision: C>B
Range: C
Durability:A>C
Learning: C

Abilities:
The stand takes the form of a stony humanoid with fog trickling from several holes in its body, in this form it is highly durable and hits VERY hard, but its speed it greatly hampered by its stone body and it can only engage targets one at a time. However, it can choose to shed its body and take the form of a cloud of fog covering an area of roughly 10 meters, and the stand can attack anything within the fog from any direction, gaining a great boost to its speed, but lower attack power and durability. Heat and wind-based attacks can temporarily disperse the fog, making the stand's body more easily visible and open to attack.

Ok, so this will be a little weird, but since this is in the future, why not have our JoJo be a descendant of both Jolyne and Gio, descended down a couple of generations eventually having their family lines converge with our JoJo. Not sure what it'd do for the Narrative, but having both Dio and Joestar blood in him would be cool.
>>
>>49167556

>>
>>49174950
This is true. [Rope] is as much utility as it is combat. Anything a spider can do with their silk, so can the stand do with its thread.
>>
>>49175032
The zepplie's stand should be a "fuck you die" bullet or something like that
>>
>>49175068
[The Warrior]

Manifests itself as two bullets. These can be fired from a gun, or launched using Hamon, as Red does.

[Walls of Heartache] The user locks on to a target, and is able to see the Target's heart, even through walls and other obstacles.

[Bang Bang] Red fires a bullet at the target's heart. The first bullet has no effect, only making a symbol on the target's clothes. Hitting with a second bullet means instant death. Period.

I'd assume DIO Industries would have some security system set up around the city, keeping an eye out for any unauthorized Stand users, with the cameras somehow able to see Stands, and alert DI security forces to their location.

The obvious "secret" being the security system itself is the power of a Stand. Can't think of a good name for a stand like that though.

Stand:「Pop Style」

Power: B
Speed: A
Precision: A
Range: D
Durability: D
Learning: B

「Pop Style」is a high power low range punch ghost. It's ability allows this stand and it's user to move through shadows like they are portals.「Pop Style」can stick only stick a limb through a shadow, or its whole body, to attack an enemy. It can travel through an shadow within a 40 meter radius, but it cannot travel through shadows made with light less than 40 lumens. If the shadow it is currently sticking a limb through has a light shined on it, the limb will be severed, causing this tactic to be of great risk to the user.

「Open Up」Ability is that whenever their fists touches leaves a mark hat he can open bigger and biggger until it skins the target alive

Here's an idea for the Escort character:
Her stand is plant-based and similar to Oasis, White Album and Foo Fighters, being a stand encompassing the user that is always out. In a dormant state, 「Sugar Magnolia」 creates a second skin of the user made of plant matter that appears as if there is nothing on the her, however the user themselves appears curvy and fit and attractive. It improves the users strength to that of peak physical fitness. It's appearance can be altered, for example changing one's face however only to an altered extent, not precise enough to impersonate like Khnum. In truth the user is anorexic and frail with health issues made worse from bad experimental DIO Ind. medicine at a young age, leaving her incurable by current medicines. The true stand is a crystal seed on the middle of the collarbone underneath the stand's skin connecting to the user's bloodstream. This is a weak-point as hitting the actual stand would damage the users whole body and disrupt the skin. The stand gives the user energy from photosynthesis and Hamon enhances the symbiosis even further, with the skin conducting it as good if not better than a regular body and skin breathing offering more oxygen to the user. In an active state, flowers will bloom on the users body, the seed glows, thorny vines can be created a la Hermit Purple, and physical ability is punch-ghost level. This drains the stand's and therefore user's strength as it requires a refresh of skin afterwords leaving them in their original body and vulnerable. She learned basic Hamon from a young age at an attempt to improve her health. The users personality is headstrong and confident from the emotional whiplash of acquiring the stand and going from weak hospital girl to bombshell. Her ability to modify her face and body as well as love of her body being appreciated led her to run an escort service with a very small worker force and high profit, able to fulfill multitudes of client requests herself.

Stand Name: [Antibiotics]
Stand User: Aysachloe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njuD8aWLYlA

User Description: A small Bonsai Tree, only about a foot tall, perpetually blossoming with Teal Flowers, and a root system that stretches for miles. Aysachloe possesses a very crude intelligence. It protects and safeguards it's caretaker, but is hostile to any it believes would do its caretaker harm.

Stand Description: A short-ranged, swarm type, each individual takes the form of a Yellow Maple Leaf with four spindly double-jointed legs and small black beady eyes. Each individual is half an inch thick, and they can split themselves open to reveal a maw of collapsible needle like teeth. In addition, by retracting it's legs, closing it's eyes, and going limp, Antibiotics can twist and fly through the air as if carried by a supernatural wind. In this form they can twist and fold to flow through obscenely small caps.
>>
>>49176630
>>49177377
How about its a bunch small black thin multi armed humanoids with beady white eyes that stick to walls and only ever stay in edge of a target's peripheral, predicting their eye movements. They're extremely flexible, able to squeeze through small spaces and can echo locate in the dark. Since their durability and offensive capabilities are next to none, the range is huge, as big as New York and they operate kinda like Harvest. They whisper each other information and report back to the user while still scouting around the city.
>>
>>49177719
I like this. For novelty's sake, let's have him able to create over 10,000 individual versions, maybe more. The upside is that damage done to each stand is minimal to the user, the downside is their obvious lack in power.

That's a bit of a tricky one. It would be difficult since DI would presumably want 24/7 coverage, difficult for any normal human who needs to eat and sleep.

Maybe they somehow cut his brain out and use it as the central processor for the security system, using the brain to activate 「Every Breath 」, then take the information the brain receives and displays it on security monitors. Since the data is being interpreted by a brain with a Stand, the image on the monitors also shows the Stands, allowing DI to just hire a security team to watch the monitors.

Hmm... nah, we need to deeper. This is a Pharma-punk setting in the Jojo Multiverse, we can do better than that in terms of body horror. We've got to dial this up to 11. He's constantly got drugs coursing through his system, and his body is a mass of cables and wires. He has no mouth and he must scream. He's restrained, and tried to kill himself several times, and the only thing keeping him going is Hamon and drug hypnosis. Killing him is something of a mercy at this point.

>>49178987
might be even more fun if he's more loyal to the company since they'll kill his daughter if he doesn't do his job, and he is always watching his daughter's life go by only able to watch and able to interact with his stand, having them whisper pieces of advice. She'll never know where he is or that he is even alive but it's the one thing keeping the guy going.

way to up the horror more: the stands need to physically touch the user to tell him the information. So you walk into where his room is and you find a guy with no lower body full of needles and wires, with tons of spider-humans crawling all over him that immediately disperse and jump into just the edge of your peripheral once they notice you.
>>
>>49179355
Isn't it obvious? [We are the Champions] has the ability to raise Morale, to the point that it can do some weird psychological bullshit, like making wounds heal faster, raising the inherent abilities of other stands, and rallying groups. It's useless on its own, but is probably the greatest Team Player Stand ever.

>「Some Kind of Nature」
「Some Kind of Nature」is a monstrous looking stand, appearing as a mix between a dog, a human and a gorrila. Whenever 「Some Kind of Nature」bites an animal, they are gradually transformed into one of the animals that the previous form would naturally eat. So if 「Some Kind of Nature」bit a coyote, it would transform into a cat. Any subsequent bites will continue the process. A cat would become a mice, etc.
If the victim is a herbivore, they will transform into grass.
This transformation process isn't permanent and reverts in three hours for each transformation. If a human stand user is bit, the stand will also transform into less menacing and dangerous forms.

>Stand Name
Cloud of Unkowing

>User
Thomas Greyson, a very senile old man. Although he has severe alzheimers he acts as if he is a perfectly functional man.

>Stand
Cloud of Unkowing is a remote stand. It manifests as a grey cloudy mass that floats through the heads of passerbyers. The cloud itself represents the mind of the user, constantly losing mass. Everytime it passes through someones head it steals memories and slots them accordingly into the user's mind. Since all memories are recorded in the first person the user assumes they are all his own. The "user" himself is long gone, his memories his "identity" has already drifted away. The slight adjustments in personality are not noticeable within an hour or so of meeting the user, but after while you will see he has drastically changed from when you first began talking to him. The user has also forgotten his stand exists. After the Cloud of Unknowing has stolen a memory it can never be reclaimed. When the user is killed all the memories in the cloud fade away forever.

>More backstory on User
Before developing Alzheimers Greyson was a "genious" inventor. But none of his inventions were really ever his own. He would attend children's science fairs and use his stand to steal the ideas he later used to become a billionaire. At first it wasn't intentional but as time went on he gained more control over his stand and used it to his advantage. Although his actions were deplorable greyson always felt pity for his victims, and regularly hired them and gave them healthy salaries and bonuses in repentance for his acts.
He stopped using his ability when one night, while having a fight with his wife, he used his ability to remove the memory that caused her anger. But greyson wasn't thing straight and accidentally sucked every memory from her head. She was effectivley braindead. It didn't take a second though to pull the plug, he knew she was never coming back.
At the age of 60, greyson was diagnosed with Alzheimers. It had been 30 years since he used his ability, but he had become desparate. He hired a servant to be by his side at all times, and whenever he lost memory of what was happening he would take it from the servant, so he could maintain lucidity. It worked until he forgot how to drink and eat, and within days his servant was dead. Greyson quickly set his stand on remote mode and took as many memories as he could. He was alive again.
>>
>>49179927
2/2
For the first time in a while greyson's mind was clear and cloudless. But, thats odd, he clearly remembers his wife has been dead for 30 years, but apparently shes at home sick right now, and he needs to buy milk with the groceries or else his kids will throw a fit. Wait a second where did I live again? Why am I in this mansion? Ahh, I remember now, I'm here becuase I work for Mr. Greyson, I'm his maid. But wait, thats not possible, I'm Mr. Greyson. Wait who is Mr. Greyson anyway? I heard of him before in some magazine. Yeah I remember I read that magazine at the dentist's office, right across the street from Thomas Greyson's mansion. Wow I can't believe I live so close to that billionaire, what's his name again? Douglas Greyhound? Ahh who cares, its not important anyway. And so, Greyson (or what was left if him), began to wander. He wandered far and wide across the earth. Since he had so much money, and aleays ended up paying with a card, he never had trouble eating or finding a place to sleep at night. In the end, Greyson never did have any friends or family that searched for him. People always tell him he had an uncanny resemblence to that Billionaire Tom Grayman (whatever his name was) and the user always corrects them perfectly, "oh you mean Thomas Greyson?", and they reply yea thats the one, "Honestly I'm flattered that you think so, but I don't even know the man, I just know what people tell me." In truth, he didn't even know that. It seems that the last thing he remembered, the only thing he would ever remember, was his name, he just forgot who it belonged to.

just though up a possible stand: 「I Eat Cannibals」
It manifests as a chimp-proportioned robot made of various materials and colors. The stand is a fast but weak punch-ghost, relying on speed rather than power. Its personality is very goofy and curious. However, its true power comes from it's ability to detach it's hands and have them disguise themselves as objects. The hand will move into a spot and become an object likely for a target to make use of shortly. When then picked up, used, activated, etc. 「I Eat Cannibals」will transform into an object unusable or utterly inappropriate for the task at hand. The transformations are fast but only happen when not being looked at, for what 「I Eat Cannibals」considers "appropriate timing". The new objects usually range from unusable to ironic to dangerous, given how dire the situation. The user has limited control over the stand, only able to suggest ideas to disguise as, but the stand is usually willing to listen.
Examples:
A fire breaks out, target grabs a bucket of water, when tossed it becomes a tank of gasoline.
Target grabs hotel keys, goes to open room and finds themselves holding an axe.
Target grabs a gun to shoot an assailant, gun becomes a banana
Target finds a convenient grappling hook, when thrown the hook becomes an anvil
Target grabs a razor to shave, and is suddenly holding a chainsaw

Orchestral Intro

>User
Heinrich Verkindesburg

>Ability
The stand cannot directly control sound waves, however it can control how they are percieved. It operates in a 150ft cone out from the front of the user.

>backstory
Heinrich has and always will love music. When he was just a tot his parents (both members of an orchestra) would take him to shows where they performed. Heinrich was a crybaby, a constant annoyance to both his parents and anyone who happened to be around him, but the moment the music came forth, silence. He was taken by it. Eyes closed shut, but ears were wide, taking in every note, every trebelo every base. He was entranced. His breathing kept pace with the music, drawing shallow quick breaths with the rapidity of the violinists, deep and full with the bassists. His eyes had no place in the world of sound, but at the end of the show when he opened his eyes he would always see him at center stage. The Sovreign of Song, the Chief of the Chamber, the Master of Music. From the day he could talk, Heinrich's declared ambition was to become a Maestro.

What could a Stand that staves off death for a few minutes be called ? Not healing or anything, you simply are already dying but you won't for a few minutes. If it's possible to fix the wounds in that time you might live after the effect ends, or you can use it keep someone you want to suffer alive a bit longer.

I was thinking about "2 minutes to midnight".

One of the other threads had a Superfast Jellyfish, found it:
Appearance:「SUPERFAST JELLYFISH」is a large (about one meter wide), neon-colored, jellyfish. The words "Superfast" are written all around the sides.

Ability:「SUPERFAST JELLYFISH」is essentially a parasite. Using its tentacles, it is able to suck the lifeforce out of any healthy being, human or otherwise, and give it to the user, healing him. A drawback to this power is that「SUPERFAST JELLYFISH」has virtually no fighting capabilities. Any and all fighting has to be done by the user.

>>
[Meltdown]
Appearance: A silver humanoid with azure droplets lining its limbs and clear capsules on its arms.

Ability: [Meltdown] can turn things into liquid and either leave them where the are or absorb the liquid into one of its capsules.
If the liquid is absorbed then it can be dispelled at any time in its original solid form.

This can be used to store useful equipment or release liquid metal before being attacked to block.
>>
>>49181930
I don't want it to turn into a simple self-buff so I'm not sure what powers could be added, staving off death sounds pretty powerful if you can come up with some way to exploit it without just giving it more powers.
>>
I might end up using some songs from an Italian prog rock band, do I translate the titles?
>>
>>49182333
You've got to remember that it doesn't stave off all injuries, just death, and that 2 minutes isn't long to finish off a fight and get healed, or even just to get healed. It isn't a real combat ability, so unless you have some other non-combat encounter planned around it, the fight is gonna be 3 seconds of fighting, 2 minutes of waiting for some cripple to die already.

STAND MASTER: GABBIE WILSON
AGE: 22 BIRTHDAY: Aprill 11th, ____ HEIGHT: 162cm(5'3) NATIONALITY: American WEIGHT: 58.9kg(130lbs) HAIR: Black EYES: Brown

A wannabe poet living on the dime of her long dead grandfather, Gabbie's a loner, a rebel and too sensitive to survive as either. That's where her stand, [DISSIDENTS] comes into play.

Anything she can't deal with or simply doesn't want to, she removes it from her own perception and often reactively. [DISSIDENTS], thankfully, has a shred of sapience. He will restore her perception against her own will if it is something she has to deal with, or if not perceiving it can potentially kill her.

How do I introduce a not!The World into my setting? I want to introduce one where the time stop goes on for a bit longer than Jotaro's, but the exhaustion effect is emphasized and the user is left wheezing and grasping for air at the end, meaning he usually has to spend some of the time stop finding somewhere to run/hide.
>>
>>49182988
Does he use his powers for evil or just self gain?
>>
>>49183073
More self-gain, but probably forced to work for the bad guy. It's not gonna be DIO, and is gonna be a fairly minor antagonist, maybe even convertible into a protagonist.
>>
>>49183226
Could have him steal something nice and shiny from the protags, or they're investigating reports of seemingly impossible thefts being pulled off
>>
>>49183236
Should I give it a new name? Or should it just be an alternate universe The World/Star Platinum, I haven't figured too much of my world's details out yet, other than the city they're in. I don't have any planned returns of characters from other parts, except maybe the Speedwagon Foundation, and it's gonna be a hamon universe because the main antagonist is a hamon user.
I'm just a bit wary of using yet another 'totally not The World', seeing at this point we've had DIO's The World, Star Platinum The World, Diego's THE WORLD, and probably some other I don't know about/can't remember. The user can be introduced as any other, really.
>>
>>49181919
>tfw someone used your creation in a game

>>
>>49183384
A new name will make it feel a bit more fresh at least, and if used in some creative or original ways it could still be fun despite being done already
>>
>>49183384
then have it be slightly different
instead of straight up stopping time have him "borrow" time. He can go up to 10 seconds but afterwards the user is stopped for 10 seconds, similar to first Jotaro fighting DIO. If he wants to take more than he receives he can, at the cost of serious amounts of effort and stamina, with it getting worse every second he "steals"
>>
>>49183395
Well, I say used, that's a bit of a slip up. Planning on using it off screen, sorry. One recurring antagonist is gonna be a wolf with the power to absorb the abilities of stand users and such it defeats, one having been your Superfast Jellyfish. It's a really neat stand though.
>>
>>49183384
It can be related to DIO without taking his stand's name. You can explain why a somewhat minor character has Time Stop powers pretty easy by just mentioning DIO once and never again.
>Slash was a regular milkman living in Egypt.
>One day, while he was doing his milkman duties, he found himself near a fancy mansion
>He put the milk near the doorstep, when suddenly the door opened and spilled the milk all over Slash
>Slash was covered in milk, but felt incredible power rising from it. Just being near someone this powerful turned normal milk into something incredible
>Slash ran away in fear. He later developed stand powers.

I know what I just wrote is pretty retarded, but I wanted to give a silly example of how you can tie into ZA WARUDO without ripping it off.
>>
>>49183471
That's pretty cool actually. Have fun then
>>
>>49183477
I get what you're going at, kind of have it poke a bit in the backstory at 'yes, this is someone else's stand basically' so it seems a bit less cheap and more self aware.
>>
>>49183447
Keeping the power more as I described and mixing with this suggestion >>49183477, I could even have the guy's real power to basically be knock-off stands or something. So basically he met DIO once, created a shitty version of the world that damn near gives him a heart attack when he uses it but is just so good.

That being said, I would like to avoid as many connections to original Jojo characters as possible to avoid shit like, 'why is Jotaro in morioh dicking around with some serial killer instead of dealing with the city being controlled by stand users that brainwash the non-stand users in the city?'

Come Fly With Me
「Fly Me to the Moon」launches the projection of whatever the user is currently holding towards the direction of the moon. The projection is launched with a speed above the sound barrier. If the user was holding a sharp object, the projection will impale the target with appropriate strength. If the object was blunt, however, the forceful impact will send the victim flying. This ability has no effect if the moon isn't currently visible.

After You've Gone
Whenever「Fly Me to the Moon」is near any person during the moment of their clinical death,「Fly Me to the Moon」can use steam to raise the corpse of the victim into the air, up to eight feet. There, the corpse will shine bright white. The corpse becomes incredibly sturdy and can withstand signifant force. This corpse also counts as a moon for the other abilities of 「Fly Me to the Moon」

The Best is Yet to Come
「Fly Me to the Moon」 speeds towards the moon or any target affected by any of his other abilities, be it a corpse or a living being. The machinery inside the stand begins to "overheat", causing it to exert massive amounts of steam into surrounding areas. Anyone within 15 feet of the stand boils alive within 2 seconds and anyone between 15 and 30 feet suffers immense burns. If this ability kills anyone, After You've Gone is immediately applied to the corpse. The stand is somewhat incapacitated for the following 20 seconds after this ability.

I tried turning a famous figure into a stand user using a strong combat stand but with an obvious weakness.
>>
I have a idea for a stand ability that grants affects to objects.

This is usually manifested my moss growing on the object.

However, the more deadly the object is, the less deadly the effect is, usually to it's detriment. And less deadly objects get deadlier affects.

Examples are a a floor title can have a affect that makes it explode or grow spikes when stepped on,while a gun shoots water when shot.

I can't think of a name or stats, help me out /tg/!
>>
>>49184016
One of these Days?
Comfortably Numb?
Land of Confusion?
One for the Vine?
Kinda just looking for song titles with some kind of oxymoron, a reference to the thing that grows on the objects, or something to do with confusion or reversal.
Good luck though, it's a cool idea.
>>
>>49182652
This stand (not of the same name) already exists in the manga.

>>49182619
Yes I was thinking the user be a famous architect.
>>
>>49184124
How about...「One For The Vine?」

Stats

Power:C

Speed:C-->B

Range:A

Staying:E

Precision:E

If the opject is less deadly the moss grows faster, and the same applies for the oppsite.
>>
>>49184555
Techniques include having the moss grow on the enemy stand to make ot less deadiler, making taps out of floor tiles, and making a water gun shoot acid.

What do you think would be more terrifying for a villain power? Im split between stealing time, delaying it and editing it.

Another one from my campaign. This one has been tricky for me to explain, so if it doesnt make sense, please tell me

>「YMCA」
(Split/Combined)
Destructive Power - C/A
Speed - B
Range - B/D
Durability - D/B
Precision - B
Developmental Potential - C

>Appearance
「YMCA」 is a muscular white humanoid stand covered in various decorations colored bright red, green, blue, and purple. The stand also has "YMCA" printed in large lettering on its chest. when the stand splits, only the decorations that match the stand's color(s) remain on its body

>Ability
「YMCA」can split its body into four pieces, Red, Green, Blue, and "Ultraviolet". It uses this to surround opponents, or splitting mid attack rush to surprise their opponent with six more fists than they were expecting.

「YMCA」can also split the user, other objects, and people. However, the split bodies are not all equal in strength, unlike「YMCA」itself. These split bodies cannot recombine willingly while still in the stand's range. The strength of each piece is determined by the percentage of color the target has. (ultraviolet is typically the weakest) Unlike the stand itself, the "Ultraviolet" pieces of other objects are completely invisible.

I can't draw worth shit, so this gif is the best I can do to explain what「YMCA」looks like when it splits
>>
>>49184649
how about switching events around?
>>
>>49184800
One thing I forgot to mention...
「YMCA」can only split a color from an object if the corresponding color is present on the stand's body. (e.g. you can only have the blue punched out of you by "C")

I created a stand for comfortably numb for my Urban JoJo story, alongside the users partner who used the wall. Interested in a description for both?

I've posted a Decent few stands here now but still kinda new
「Endless Nameless」
「Lose Yourself」
「Guerilla Radio」
「Life is a Highway」/ 「Highway Life」
「U&I」
Are some of the stands i posted from my Urban JoJo list of stands.

B-b-but D10 jokes!
>>
>>49182346
That's a rather limited way of looking at it, note that there are plenty of stands with seemingly useless ability that's used effectively in combat with creative thinking. It doesn't have to be used on the Stand user, what about getting multiple attack dogs, touching them and sending them after the enemy Stand user ? Their Stand might stop one or two while the user gets his neck bitten open. Or use it on some unwitting pawns.

Not that it couldn't have other powers, just don't limit it to being a two minute self-buff for fighting.
>>
>>49185555
Yes, but it doesn't make you indestructible. Your head gets blown off in those two minutes ? You will "live" but you still will be just a body without a head, possibly flailing for two minutes. But say your guts spill out but your Stand touches you just before you the shock kills you - you can stuff the guts back in and if you can keep it you might survive, but more likely bleed out unless someone uses a healing Stand on you.

Or you can grab someone you want dead, for example BBEG that turned your life in a living nightmare, and prolong the pain as edgy as it sounds.

I'm sorry to do this to you anon, but Santa isn't real, and d10 jokes aren't that funny.

Is this any good? Is it too much like another stand? Anything I should change?

「Teenage FBI」

Destructive power - B
Speed - C
Precision - B
Range - A
Durability - D
Potential - D

「Teenage FBI」 is a stand with the ability to allow the user to control control arthropods, even in large groups. Only related closely related species can be controlled at the same time such as spiders, crabs, ants, bees, or wasps. The user is able to sense what each of the arthropods can sense. When the stand user is using 「Teenage FBI」, then lose control over their own body until the stand is deactivated, meaning they must rely on the stand and arthropods for protection.

Depending on the the group the stand is controlling, the stand gets different abilities that correspond to it. Ants would give the 「Teenage FBI」 increased strength, a fly would allow the stand and user to fly, wasps give it a stinger, etc.
>>
>>49186748
Does remind me of Golden Experience, and controlling animals is pretty bland.

I do find the stat shifting interesting, and physical feature mimicing seals the deal.
>>
>Stand Name
The Real Folk Blues

>Appearence
RFK (Real Folk Blues) manifests itself as a humanoid, appearing as a man in a grey duster and and a fedora that obscures his face entirely.

>Ability
RFK can play a song that will make anyone shed a tear. In fact RFK's songs are so entrancing that once you've seen listened to the first note, you can't resist sitting down and listening the whole thing. Afterwards most people are deeply touched and have a difficult time thinking of anything else but lost loved one or tragic events.
>>
>>49186924
>>49186924
Admittedly I just wanted a stand that could be THE PAIN like just shooting bees at people and shit and I like the idea of a stand that could be used for surveillance. And for somebody who fights very indirectly instead of just punching along side their punch ghost.

But yeah, it's not creative. I know that.

Though yeah now that I think about, it'd be pretty cool if the stand got features from the animals. Like extra limbs or the insect head, wings, pincers, etc,

User
Ben Bulgarius was a young and impressionable boy when, at the age of 10 after walking out of his violin recital, his parents were killed by a street urchin looking for a bit of extra cash. Ben ran, he ran for miles and miles. Ben ran until he couldn't any longer, so he took the train. And ben rode that car, until the conducter stopped taking pity on him, and woke him up just to leave him at the next station. He walked down the hall in a sleepy stupor. With nothing but his clothes and a fiddle strapped to his back he slumped down against a wall, took out his fiddle, and began to play, leaving his instrument case open in front of him.
>>
>>49187081

2/3
He played a long, sorrowful tune, one that took every feeling he had that day, every sad memory, into a somber song. He closed he eyes deeply while playing, breathing softly to the tune, and tears began to well. His playing was now even more reflective of his mood, even more depressing and sad. But not a single tear shed through his eye, no, all his tears came out through his music. When he finished he took a deep sigh, and slowly opened his eyes. An entire crowd of people stood before him. It was if the entire station had stopped in time just to witness him play. After a few sniffles, and a few tissues were used to soak a few tears, there was an eruption of applause. From the little kid who just wanted to get home, to the hardened stone cold business man, they all clapped and cried. There was one man in front though, wearing a grey duster and matching fedora, who although he couldn't discern a face, seemed to stare at him intently. He didn't even clap. After everyone else was finished, a shower of money rained into his case. Hundreds, no, thousands of dollars from his newfound patrons. After packing the money in wherever he could and securing his instrument he began to head out. On his way out from the crowd (who parted for him), he asked an audience member the time. "5:30", they replied. Ben thamln made an anouncement towards the still mesmerized people. "I will play again at the exact same time tommorow, come back if you want to see me". After a second bout of applause Ben bowed and took his leave, and left to find somewhere to stay. What ben didn't expect was his surroundings. He didn't realize he was out for so long, he traveled all the way from Chicago to New York.
>>
>>49187119

3/3
After staying at a decent hotel, and eating a decent meal, he played again in the train station at the same time the next day, to a similar reaction. Within a few weeks he had an apartment, and that demanded a larger sum of money. From 6-9am and 4-7pm every day he would play, and every day, the same man, always wearing a duster and fedora would stand before him, in front of everyone else, silently staring. A month or so passed and eventually the authorities heard tell of a performer who was causing major delays in Grand Central Station, but when they went to stop him they couldn't help but appreciate his work. One day when ben went in at his usual spot he saw someone had built him a little platform to play on, and set up chairs for audience members. It was his own, his own little stage, his own personal pit. No one dared defile it. Ruffians would come along to lob insults or worse, sometimes even objects, but in the end when they came upon his stage all they could do was stop and stare.
After 10 years of playing in his usual spot, ben had saved up enough to buy a hole in the wall where he played, and opened up a music shop and school. He had become a world renowned musician, people visiting from all over just to see him play, and the man with the duster and fedora was always there, staring him down.
>>
>>49187147

4/3

It has been 80 years since Ben opened that shop. His legend has faded slightly, although most violinists know his name. Its been years since he walked the earth, but theres a rumor that if you're in need of a sad song to clear your mind, you can sometimes hear a faint trill of horsehair against string, and what sounds almost like a little boy humming along with the tune. And there are rumors that occassionally, in the middle of the night, outside if the shop next to a placard dedicated to the bulgarius, the one one above Ben's prized violin, you can see a man wearing a grey duster and fedora sulking against the wall. You could even say he's faceless aside from a shadow, but, well, I guess no one'll ever know, will they.

Food for thought that might make every prospective JoJo player rethink their choice of system: physical damage doesn't matter in JoJo.
>>
>>49180091
I'd say remove the functionality. Because a stand that just fucked up technology would be incredibly chaotic and destructive.
>>
>>49187480
How would you apply that to my 1d6 system?
>>
>>49187480
This. Hell, part 2 basically has the weakest Jojo in the entire franchise defeat the strongest being in the franchise who is completely invincible nd immortal through cunning and dumb luck.
>>
>>49187545
I have not looked at it yet but I will tell you what really matters in JoJo: fighting spirit, willpower, the mind. JoJo is about fighting on until you cannot muster the will to fight anymore, when you reach the point that you are out of ideas, tricks, etc.
>>
>>49187563
Not only that, but Vampires and Pillar Men are the most direct and unsubtle examples of how physical damage is a stylistic formality. Dio Brando and Wham were reduced to a head and kept fighting, AC/DC was reduced down to internal organs and kept going. Kars, unable to die, stopped thinking.

But look at the other side of the coin: Jonathan was unphased by Speedwagon's knife hat hacking into his wrist, Will A. Zeppeli's arm was frozen up to the elbow but he kept going, Stroheim got blown up and dismantled on multiple occasions, Joseph lost a hand etc. We're not even at Stands yet.

Physical damage is symbolic of the persistence of JoJo characters. Delivering the final blow is the punctuation mark, not the sentence. JoJo characters come up with plans, hatch schemes, get into and out of trouble, all while getting fucked up but it's only when they cannot think their ways out, when they are at their wits' ends that they lose.

Do you suggest a system that does Critical Existence Failure like D&D, where somebody at 20 hp and somebody at 3 hp are just as effective in combat?

[Keep Up]

Appearance: A small red jellyfish with a digital clockface on top of it

Ability: If you start to chase the user of [keep up] for any reason, then the stand attaches itself to your chest, where your heart is.

[Keep up] is seemingly impossible to remove. once it attaches to you, then the clock on it starts counting down from 1 hour, if you do not catch the user within the hour, then [keep up] will lethally shock your heart.

White flag:
Appearance: a barrel chested robotic figure with thin legs that are too long. It has the words love written on it over and over.

Destructive power: C
Range: C
Durability: C
Precision: C
Speed: C
Developmental potential: A

Ability: The stands ability is simple yet terrifying. Anytime It sets a target in its line of sight it can set up to three stipulations. Any of the users choosing that are not considered 'unfair'. When the stipulations are violated the user can enact its true ability to 'take' anything. Though it does have a limit I.e trying to take some ones soul will only get you a third.

The user is a sadistic person who only cares about playing around with people she does have an affinity to not actually kill people or hurt them so bad she cant have 'fun' with them later.

「Helter Skelter」
Power [A] / Speed [C] / Range [D] / Durability [B] / Precision [C] / Potential [B]

Appearance:
The Stand manifests as a humanoid Stand with red and white skin and robotic features, the Stand lacks legs and from the waist down it body twists in a spiral to a single point that floats above the ground. The Stand's head looks similar to the helmet of a jet pilot, the over all look of「Helter Skelter」is meant to be a cross between a military pilot and an amusement park ride.

Go For A Ride
The Stand grabs on to its target, lifting it high up in the air above its head and bringing it crashing down. Though this ability appears to the naked eye as simply a Stand power of immense physical strength the reality is that「Helter Skelter」alters the gravity around itself to make its target weightless or incredibly heavy. Once the weightless object has reached a suitable height the Stand increases the gravity instantly to send the object rushing back down in to the ground.
>>
「Communication Breakdown」
Power [E] / Speed [D] / Range [B] / Durability [C] / Precision [A] / Potential [E]

Appearance:
Also known as「C.B.」as manifests as an techno-organic looking citizens band radio (CB radio) that has an crab-like legs that allow it to move around. Due to its size and animal-like qualities this Stand responds to its Stand User very much like a pet would respond to its owner.

Talk Radio
The signature ability of「C.B.」is to send out a radio frequency that causes those in its range to be able to speak in what is called “word salads” where people speak in a confused, unintelligable or random mix of words and phrases. People experiencing Talk Radio are unaware they are being affected but are aware that people who are speaking are being affected.
Feedback
This Stand only has a single defensive ability called “Feedback”,「C.B.」creates a audio feedback screech that is painful to those in a five meter radius but not lethal, allowing this feeble Stand to make its escape.

some extra character stuff:
Her Stand's active form is called 「Scarlet Begonias」. She tries her best to avoid using it because it leaves her very vulnerable both physically and mentally.
She has a co-owner of American Beauty who handles the business side of things. She was originally a nurse at the hospital Barbara was frequently in. After she gained her stand, the nurse quit her job because of poor working conditions and the two of them started American Beauty.
Her outer skin heals slightly faster than regular people but enough damage could require a full refresh. Burns are difficult to heal so she best avoid fire.
Also she always smells like flowers.
If anyone has got an idea about how her stand came about that'd be cool.

So something I'm thinking off:

There's currently a WIP conversion for Jojo in Wild Talents, which of course is awesome. However, there's an even better application of the One Roll Engine I'd be interested in working on: A Dirty World.

In A Dirty World, characters posses matched sets of stats that represent their psychological qualities as much as physical abilities. For instance as shown in the character sheet here, Vigor is matched with Grace, and the way it works is that they can't have overlapping rank dots (so more Vigor means less Grace).

The whole game is based around sliding these dots around. You aren't just trying to bring someone down to 0 HP, you're trying to reduce their Patience so they freak out, or drain their Vigor so they can't stand anymore. I think a similar idea could work marvelously for Jojo.
>>
「Sinnerman」
Power [C] / Speed [B] / Range [B] / Durability [A] / Precision [B] / Potential [D]

Appearance:
manifests as a humanoid Stand with olive-toned skin covered in lash marks wearing a simple loin cloth. Its arms are bound to its torso with leather bindings that makes it look as though it is perpetually in prayer and has a metal crucifix bolted to its face covering its eyes and seemingly causing it pain.

Ability:
The Stand passively creates a field around it where people are compelled to tell the truth and the closer one is to「Sinnerman」then they feel the compulsion to confess their sins, though what qualifies as a “sin” seems to be up to the individual. The Stand User does not appear to be affected by this passive ability.

When「Sinnerman」has targeted the “sinner” whose confession is deemed the worst they will be marked by a red “S” on their body. The mark allows「Sinnerman」to track the marked individual, it also influences others by making them unwilling to offer aid to the marked.

Stand:「Sugar Magnolia」
User: Barbara Casey
Description: Comparible to Oasis, White Album and Foo Fighters, the stand is plant-based, encompassing the user and is always out.
In a dormant state, it creates a second skin of the user made of plant matter. It improves the users strength to that of peak physical fitness. 「Sugar Magnolia」's "skin" is indistinguishable from a normal human, and the user themselves usually appears curvy, fit and attractive. It's appearance can be altered, changing one's face and body, however only to an altered extent, not precise enough to impersonate like Khnum.
In truth the user is anorexic and frail with health issues made worse from bad experimental medicine at a young age, offered by DIO Industrues. It left her incurable by current medicines.
She learned basic Hamon from a young age at an attempt to improve her health.

In an active state, named 「Scarlet Begonia」, flowers will bloom on the users body, the seed glows, thorny vines can be created a la Hermit Purple, and physical ability is punch-ghost level. This drains the stand's and therefore user's strength as it requires a refresh of skin afterwords leaving them in their original body and vulnerable.
The users personality is headstrong and confident from the emotional whiplash of acquiring the stand and going from weak hospital girl to powerful bombshell. Her ability to modify her face and body as well as love of her body being appreciated led her to run an escort service with a very small worker force and high profit, able to fulfill multitudes of client requests herself.

Manifests as an emaciated humanoid Stand wearing an elaborate golden Venetian mask with feminine features and designer sunglasses worn over the mask.「Eminence Front」is known to stare at its own reflection and when faced with physical confrontation it cowers and protects its face, betraying the vain personality of an otherwise silent and obedient Stand.

Ability:
By scanning the minds of people around it「Eminence Front」disguises its User's appearance and voice as a person deemed “famous” or “important” by the public. For example, if this power was to be used in a bank then the user would be disguised as the bank manager.

Been designing stands for my friends. Do these stats seemed balanced for this ability?

Stand Name: 「Juke Box Hero」

Power - D
Speed - B
Range - C
Durability - A
Precision - B
Potential - C

「Juke Box Hero」 is a medium range humanoid stand. While It has no special abilities of its own, the stand (but not the user) is immune to any and all effects caused by other stands. It is partially autonomous and can act on it's own to defend it's user, and its user's allies, as long as its user is not rendered unconscious.
>>
>>49195563
Seems like you left a trip on.
>>
>>49195563
Never been a fan of Stand Immunity as the sole power. I'd take Durability down a notch.

The Stand design is sick, by the way.
>>
>>49195776
I just put durability to max since, well, being immune to other stands would make it invulnerable since that's all that can hurt another stand right?
>>
>>49195900
The description only says effects, not the Stand's fists or projectiles.
>>
>>49195981
Well the idea is "Any and all effects caused by other stands" isn't meant to just mean special abilities, but the general definition of "results of an action".

Give me your best settings. I have a few.

>Story is set in WW2. The crew has to travel across Europe avoiding Nazi assassins
>Story is set in medieval times. A dishonered knight has to redeem himself all the while being attacked by the church.
>Story is set in modern times. SDC-like adventure across the Americas. Heavy aztec/native american themes

I'm the guy with the Urban Blacksploitation parody JoJo, Not sure if it's a good setting but i think it's alittle but fun. It's a story set in Early 90's Compton with the crew battling the corrupt police and a high class Drug cartel.

>A group of DIO's former minions are captured by the Speedwagon Foundation. They're offered a release from prison, if they act as an elite psi-ops unit for two years. Title: Speedwagon's Eleven

>A tiny meteorite falls in the middle of a dense rainforest, granting all living things within 40 meters a Stand. The effected are mostly animals, using their newfound prowess to rise to the top of the food chain. However, a human poacher was also among these... Title: Welcome To The Jungle

>It's Shrek but with Stands.

>A gold-covered, immobile, amputee Pillar Man named DMX is escorted through 1910's Revolutionary Mexico, while the many warring factions vie for control of his Stand, one with the 'Midas Touch'. Title: Bizarre Loteria
>>
>>49196420
All three of those seem pretty cool
>>49196672
Could be fun for a more serious tone
>>49197342
Someone forgot to take their trip off. Also calling your thing "Shrek with Stands" means you are going off meme value. 2/10
>>
Another one I been working on, but need a name for. Something Heavy Metal-y

Power - C
Speed - C
Range - B
Durability - C
Precision - C
Potential - B

「(blank)」 is a medium range stand Quadrupedal stand looking similar a canine with a combination of horse and human features. When all four of it's legs are on the ground the stand it can alternate any earth in the area within a 100ft radius, changing it to and from dirt, rock, sand, mud, concrete, and even lava.
>>
>>49195563
I've got something very similar called 「Can’t Touch This」, except it doesn't have a physical manifestation, it's just an ability of the user to see but not interact at all with Stands.
>>
>>49197693
Fuck thats brutal, wouldnt want to fight againtst that thing.
>>
>>49197531
Is just a gag third setting. Relax.
>>
>>49197693
Not a metal song but Tom Waits has a song called Earth Died Screaming that could be an option.
>>
just came up with this stand, idk whether to use it for a BBEG or what, what do you guys think

User: Bizz R Ventur
Stand name: roundabout

Roundabout ability: can leave any action in a to be continued and the effected person(s) cannot resume the activity for a whole week

kind of a meme idea, but funny none the less
>>
Stand Name:「SATURN'S CHILDREN」

Appearance: Three small planetoids in constant orbit with each other. Each are about the size of a basketball

Stats:
Power - D
Speed - D
Range - A
Durability - A
Precision - C
Potential - C

Ability:「SATURN'S CHILDREN」allows the user to manipulate gravity (mainly direction/intensity) within its orbit. The orbit itself can be adjusted as well. At max range (~250 metres), the stand can exert about 0.75 Earths worth of gravity at maximum, while at minimum range it can get up to 75 Earths of gravity. The stand itself can also be used to strike opponents, though it's not too effective and it takes a bit of time to build up a good speed.
>>
>>49198730
Think I had a similar joke idea with a more meta-joke. Stand could change the outcome of an action, but to do that it had to end that session, and next session resolved the action first thing, including retarded asspulls to go the user's way.
>>
>>49197342
>Shrek
I knew you were a foaming retard
>>
Stand Name:「Bad Moon Rising」

Stats:
Power [B] / Speed [D] / Range [A] / Durability [A] / Precision [B] / Potential [D]

Appearance:
An almost naked humanoid Stand with bluish-black skin, silver stars on its knuckles and a wispy grey cloud that acts a scarf. The Stand's most notable physical feature is that its head is a replica of Earth's moon that turns from white to red when it activates it's ability.

Ability:
This Stand can create an “aura filter” in the atmosphere that gives the Moon a “bloody” appearance that induces feelings of paranoia and anxiety in living creatures under its three kilometer field of influence. This ability is limited in that the Stand can only use this ability at night and the severity of its influence is based on the phase of the moon. At crescent the effect causes paranoia and unease, but if the ability is used during a full moon then mass riots and temporary psychotic breaks in the affected area are to be expected.
>>
>>49196420
>A shard of the meteorite from Greenland from which the Stand Arrows were created has been spotted on the surface of the moon near its colony. A group of SWF employees is tasked with retrieving it while dealing with the sudden increase in new stand users thanks to its appearance. I'm thinking JoJo meets Planetes.

> Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Hollywood Babylon
Set in late 60's Hollywood, the Joestar of this setting is a Steve McQueen-esque stunt car driver coming in to conflict with a villain who is equal parts Diego Brando and Charles Manson.
Figured that this Joestar would have their Stand named「Little Red Corvette」and could use this to build on the American legend of the Steel Ball Race and themes of fame and power in Hollywood.
>>
>>49199413
Stand Name:「Little Red Corvette」

Stats:
Power [C] / Speed [B] / Range [C] / Durability [A] / Precision [D] / Potential [D]

Appearance:
A streamlined robotic humanoid Stand with red metal skin that offers some physical protection and durability. The Stand also has a chrome face guard covering its jaw that is reminiscent of a car grille/bumper and has tire treads on the bottom of its feet for traction.

Ability:
Hijack!:「Lil' Red Corvette」can jump in the driver's seat of any car and completely wrest control of the vehicle from the driver. While this hijacking ability allows「Lil' Red Corvette」to operate any automobile it does not allow it to exceed the capabilities of the vehicle or break any laws of physics like driving through the air. It is also possible for the Stand to “hijack” a person and imbue them with enhanced reflexes to put them on par with any stunt driver or pro racer.

Dream Car: The Stand can “possess” any automobile and transform it in to a modified 1967 Corvette L88 that runs on Stand power. When transformed in to a full sized Corvette L88 the Stand has custom license plates that read “1999” in reference to the album of it's namesake.
>>
>>49197693
Jesus I did not type that out well.
>>49197865
So the user has no actual stand they can summon but can't be effected by other stands? Interesting but kind of the opposite of 「Juke Box Hero」

does anyone have a list of what the stats for stands rankings translate to?

like how strong is an A in destructive power?
how fast is a B in Speed
what is an A in developmental potential?

things like that
>>
>>49199705
Check http://jojo.wikia.com/wiki/Stand

It has some hard numbers on Range, but everything else seems to be loosely defined.
The rpg systems listed at the top of the thread have hard definitions on the stats for obvious reasons.
>>
>>49199764
i was only able to find on that page "long range and short range stands" where is the hard number?
>>
>>49199915
Looks like they've changed some of the pages since I last browsed.

This link talks about it: http://jojo.wikia.com/wiki/Stand_Parameter

If I remember correctly the range stats were as follows:
E is 2 meters or less
D is 5 meters on average
C is 10 meters on average
B is 25 meters on average
A is over 50-60 meters
>>
>>49199971
thanks bud, you da real mvp
>>
>>49199705
There's no hard numbers to it beyond Range. It's just a general grading system to tell you how good a Stand is at certain things.
>>
>>49199500
Basically going to use him as a kind of guide that isn't too useful in fights.

>>49199971
That can't be right. Star Platinum has C range and it can't go further than 2 meters.
>>
>>49200136
That's Star Platinum: The World.

I'm sure if you look for the original Star Platinum it would have an appropriate rating.
>>
>>49200136
>>49200170
I could also be mistaken, or there is a translation error or Araki doesn't have a set metric and gives the ratings out as he sees fit.
>>
>>49200136
The stats are wonky in parts 3 and 6. The Range stat in particular isn't consistent until part 7.
>>
>>49200136
Star Finger.
>>
Question:

(I'm the guy postulating about this >>49193137)

Does it make more sense for Stand actions to be based on User Stat + Stand Stat, or should they be entirely contained within the Stand's stat line?
>>
Happy Super Stand Tuesday everyone. Does anyone have any general advice for dming a jojo game? I'm thinking of going with the d6 system, and I'd be dming for some longtime fans
>>
>>49202384
I know it's been said to hell and back, but d10 is probably the best for a JoJo game.
>>
>>49202384

1) Be fabulous in visuals and mannerisms. Minimum one pose per game.

2) Be melodramatic. Be operatic. Be not just heard, but understood.

3) Be bizarre. Do everything at least 1° off from a plain and simple action.

4) Be disgusting. Gross everyone out.

5) Don't let your character be defined by their powers. Make your powers be defined by your character.

6) No fight is a clash of powers. Every fight is a clash of characters.

7) Make every fight a story with high stakes, thrilling danger, and bizarre twists.

8) Not every story is a fight, but every story is an encounter. A larger-than-life encounter between larger-than-life characters.

9) Heroes must earn their victories, Villains must earn their ass kickings.

10) Keep your campaign evolving. Never stop trying new ideas. JoJo was JoJo before Stands. JoJo was JoJo before Ripple. JoJo was JoJo when it had Spin. JoJo was JoJo when a Cyber-Nazi fought an ancient, South American Super Vampire.
>>
>>49199705

A basically means "Superhuman"

B means minor superhuman ability or else peak/elite human ability.

C means the stat is on the level of a typical human.

D means the stat is below human, weak.

E means extreme weakness or deficiency, virtually nonexistent.

The one stat that I have yet to see any real rhyme or reason to is Developmental Potential.

Back with another DOOM stand

[Rhinestone Cowboy]

Destructive Power - C
Speed - D
Range - B
Durability - A
Precision - B
Potential - C

Appearance:
Rhinestone Cowboy manifests through stone, so it could potentially be any size. Once it manifests and takes control over a piece of stone it takes on the appearance of a typical cowboy wearing a poncho and a wide brimmed hat, wearing a bandanna over the mouth with large goggles that obscure the eyes. Wields a revolver that has a cartoonishly long barrel (like a sniper rifle) with a scope sight on it.

Ability:
Anything shot by Rhinestone Cowboy's bullets won't begin to bleed out (in fact, the bullet just passes through without breaking skin) will begin to break down to their core components. Cars will deconstruct into iron ore, windows will turn into sand, humans will turn into a pile of little things. Paper will turn into trees, etc.

Rhinestone Cowboy is also extremely durable due to being made out of stone, and any damage done to the stand does not affect the user because it's inside the stone. The stone however, makes it on the slower side despite being very dexterous.

Rhinestone Cowboy's alternate ability is to see three seconds into the future.
>>
>>49203461
An addendum, Rhinestone Cowboy reloads his six shot revolver by breaking part of his body up (like turning his hand into another six bullets), and bullets fired do not stop moving until after they hit something, though he has no control over them.
>>
>>49199026
Is just a gag third setting. Relax.
>>49200184
Star Platinum had a C in Range in Part 3 as well, as did The World.
>>49202384
Pay heed to the aesthetics of JoJo, not just general concepts. Once you capture the feel, it'll shine. The bullet point post above says it better than I could.
>>
>>49203365
One I'd like to add:

11) Be shocking. Widen eyes, drop jaws, make them wince, make them say, "Holy shit!"
