Jumpers, how were your first "boss fights" (or the closest equivalent)?

Updated Nightmare Before Christmas with 3 more perks:

Nice Pipes, Bone-Daddy, A Witch’s Fondest Dream and Spirit of the Season
>>
>>49155292
Huh, no thumbnail.
>>
>>49155318
Yeah that is pretty weird. Something up with the system?
>>
>>49155292
Spookio, my good tripman.
>>
>>49155292
Spirit of the Season seems a bit weak for a 300cp perk.

A Witch's Fondest Dream sounds like it'd stake nicely with that perk from Monster Inc that makes you more popular the scarier you are.
>>
>>49155292
Neat...damnit I'm going to have to revise my build.
>>
>>49155292
What be the Jumper's favorite song from this film?
>>
>>49155292
Tempted to get Spirit of a Season for the Fourth of July. Suddenly exude an aura of FREEDOM and 'Murrica.
>>
>>49155419
The entire soundtrack is excellent, but I'd say I especially like What's This.
>>
>>49155466
>The entire soundtrack is excellent
Well obviously. My personal favorite has to be Poor Jack though.
>>
>>49155419
I like Jack's Lament a lot.
>>
>>49155286
I beat up Brock real good let me tell you. Squirttled that Onix I did.
>>
>>49155419
I've always been partial to This is Halloween as well as that song Oogie sings to Santa. I forget what it's called.
>>
>>49155522
>Squirttled that Onix I did.
I hope that's not an euphemism for something else.
>>
>>49155534
The Oogie Boogie Song.
No, seriously, that's what it's called.
>>
>>49154973
So, I've looked through this now. Only got one question. Where the fuck are all those pregnancy charms coming from? Seriously, what? I guess I could expect it from Kimbery, but still.

Crippled Imperator Shintai and creating behemoths seems cool though.
>>
>>49155548
Huh. Well alright then. Thanks.

Not entirely sure how I forgot that.
>>
>>49155549
Szoreny "Borders" most of the other Yozi, and there is a Manse with a baby-thing in Szoreny that was made when Malfias danced through Szoreny
>>
>>49155562
>>49155562
You probably made the assumption "That's not it's real name, that's just how I remember it". Because it's the song Oogie Boogie sings.
>>
>>49155549
The weird thing is that the only example in canon involving Kimbery and weird pregnancy in any way is when her pre-Yozi Behemoth the size of an island (Lintha Ng Oog or something) was coopted and said to have 'given birth' when one of Kimbery's akuma burst out of a rock on it.
>>
>>49155542

Rick and Morty has the anatomy park blueprints for inside a human body.
>>
>>49155549
Honestly it's somewhat magical realmy but it at least kinda fits SWLIHN and Adorjan, Ebon's a bit far though. I mean of course SWLIHN is going to have charms for making hereditary castes, while Adorjan it's fairly simple to extrapolate her love and four babies into making weird babies. And Adorjan already had one in canon anyway.
>>

>>
>>49155648
Well Ebon Dragon does have third circle that's a shadow succubus, which itself has a second circle that's basically a succubus.

But I disagree on it fitting SWLiHN, she's a fucking collection of spheres and has never been known to create her own race or take mortal lovers like most other Primordials/Yozi.
>>
>>49155632
>>49155666
Disfigured? It makes you a bit scarier.
>>
>>49155666
>>49155680
The involuntary monster harem drawback.
You start attracting monsters like flies to honey.
A new Jumper would be scared, naturally.
The more scared they are, the more attractive they become to the monsters.

Infinite loop. Of despair. At least you'll die pretty.
>>
>>49155674
I'd note that none of the SWLIHN charms actually require the Infernal to be either parent. It's adjusting your servitors for maximum efficiency, not having kids because you want kids. She's taking an unborn baby and forcing it into a particular spot on the hierarchy. But enough on that.
>>
>>49155674
That's because SWLIHN's love for Theion is pure. PURE!
>>
>>49155700
Except the perk makes you more attractive based on how scarY you are, not scared.
>>
>>49155292

Considering taking that as an early jump for blessing of Stravs to replace if it bleeds.
>>
>>49155742
So it is. My eyes are retarded. I saw the '-ing' as '-ed'.

That perk actually has great synergy with Measure of a True Monster from Monsters Inc.
>>

Can the Monsters created by Hiding Under Your Bed... benefit from Perks that enhance summoning abilities? Like the two from Bayonetta?

Why not pick up archive magic from Fairy Tail? IIRC that can be used to implant knowledge.

Message for Kotor Anon

Is there amyone else I need to talk to about a star wars Empire at War Jump?

I know in thread 1060 you said I could take a stab at it. Ive got a mock up halfway done but would like some way of linking you into the google docs as it goes.
>>
>>49156211
My inclination is it grants knowledge, but some knowledge can be quite useful for improving or making better use of your skills. Stuff like architecture or medicine you're not going to see much of an issue once the person actually manages to sort through the years of college you crammed into his brain, but you can't just go make someone an Olympic athlete.

Basically it's purely mental, but you can get decently far with that.

Ah cripes, I feel asleep at the computer last thread...Uh, so if the two anons who were asking me questions before are still around, here are your answers:

No, it doesn't have to be Lugh specifically, but it does have to be a spirit/god of equal power to him. Keep in mind though that there are physical requirements for channeling gods and spirits, and Io already fits those for Lugh, plus it gives her a confidence/power boost.

It's just when Shiva's really freaking angry. It doesn't have to be Kama specifically, it's just that that was the only way the cast could make Shiva angry enough while being able to aim it towards the enemy. We didn't see Shiva afterwards, but given the fact that in levels alone he's stronger than Polaris, I doubt that really drained him that much.

Magnetite is everywhere in the DeSu-verse. In SMT, magnetite was required to give demons a physical form, but in DeSu, demons can easily gain and maintain physical forms. In fact, magnetite is instead used to copy skills the party leader has. Basically, while it's not shown, as you fight and your demons land hits and critical hits, and resist, null, reflect, and absorb enemy attacks, they build up magnetite, which they may then use to copy a spell/technique from your COMP (For example, Muliti-Hit, Megido, Salvation, etc.)

The Volus are the Mass Effect Space Jews.
>>
>>49157310
I would like to point out the irony that the Geth never had any intentions of fighting/killing the Quarians, and that a good chunk of the plot of the Mass Effect Trilogy could have been avoided if the Quarians had just said yes when that one Geth asked if it had a soul instead of trying to kill it.
>>
>>49157310
>Space Jews
>Not the Volus
Are you crazy m8?

>>49157299
ME1 Liara was cute, but Tali is better. Hell I liked Tali more than Liara in ME1.

>>49157351
A good chunk of the Mass Effect Trilogy could have been avoided if the Salarians hadn't given a highly aggressive and fast breeding race that was only kept in check by the dangers of their home world several Garden Worlds.
>>
>>49157317
There are lots of Jewish stereotypes, anon, there's room for two species to be Space Jews.

>>49157351
Eh, not that much. Not having the Geth around in ME1 would have made Nazara's plan harder, but I'm sure he and Saren could have done something. Like, maybe they'd just wait longer for their cloned Krogan and Rachni troops to be available, or something like that.
>>
>>49157172
Putting your heresy aside for a moment
Tau don't have souls
>>
>>49157373
The Krogans are a delicate issue, because the alternative to happy Krogans early on would be a galaxy taken over by the Rachni.
>>
>>49157409
Technically they do, but as where a human soul is equal to or greater than a human body, a Tau soul is equal to a single sheet of paper. Anon's a heretic either way though.
>>
>>49157373
>Are you crazy m8?
Volus are wealthy Ashkenazim. Quarians are poor Sephardim. My people are a varied and diverse one, with each group having its own racist memes about them. Educate yourself.

>A good chunk of the Mass Effect Trilogy could have been avoided if the Salarians hadn't given a highly aggressive and fast breeding race that was only kept in check by the dangers of their home world several Garden Worlds.
But then they would have all been eaten by the rachni.
>>
>>49157442
>>49157458
Or, Or, here's just a thought.
Give them the worlds they took from the Rachni. You know, those really deadly worlds the other Citadel races can't survive on, that the Krogan did just fine on.
Anything but fucking GARDEN WORLDS.
>>
>>49157063
Interesting.

Considering how Shiva has higher level than Polaris it makes me wonder how did YHVH have any issues with her and other admins.

As for Lugh, nah, I meant like... Could a Jumper make a machine or such to channel the energy into a physical form? Considering all various perks existing...

I also have another question m8. Can we level our comp to 99 outside the jump, or we can only do it in the DeSu jump?
>>
>>49157465
What if the Krogan were offended by that?
>>
>>49157373
>>49157442
>>49157458
A good chunk of the Mass Effect Trilogy could have been avoided if the Rachni weren't so xenophobic.
>>
>>49157443
The Salarians would have come up with a bioweapon, the only reason they didn't was because of plot related reasons.
>>
>>49157475
Frame it as the spoils of their victory. They took those worlds from the Rachni, they belong to them now.

>>49157482
Rachni were being mind-fucked by Nazara/Sovreign into attacking.

>>
>>49157063
The COMP/Nicea stats are just boosts onto the jumper's existing capabilities?
>>
>>49157465
They did. The Krogan then went "nuts to that" and went off to conquer garden worlds. This isn't a case of the Citadel mismanaging some invasive species, it's a case of Krogans being assholes. The only reason they don't look like assholes in the series is because our perspective on the Krogan is Wrex, the Coolest Krogan Ever. And even he says that his people are a bunch of assholes. His entire character arc is about him trying to convince the rest of the Krogan to stop blowing shit up for five seconds, so they can repair their destroyed world even a little bit.
>>
>>49157172
Naw. Take all the souls and conglomerate them into one super Tau. With AT Field
>>
>>49157520
That's not what happened at all. They gave the Krogan Garden Worlds. The Krogan bred like fucking crazy, because they are a stupidly fast-breeding species, and got to the point they had no more room. Then they started conquering other worlds.

The Krogen ARE massive assholes, but the Salarians were either complete and utter fucking morons when they gave the Krogan Garden Worlds, or they were planning for the genophage from the beginning.
>>
>>49157548
>Tau souls are so weak that bunching up all the ones in existence only equals one singular human soul
>>
>>49157554
That's why you get soul training perks. Train them up
>>
>>49157550
That's not what the Codex says. It says that Krogan warlords conquered garden worlds in the aftermath of the Rachni Wars, and the Citadel races were just too busy to stop them. The Krogan were given worlds, but there's no mention of them being garden worlds, and it is explicitly stated that most of the worlds they were given were former Rachni ones.
>>
>>49157465
I find it pretty funny that you're blaming the Salarians for that bullshit when it was the Krogans that were trying to overtake the galaxy. And besides that, at the time the Salarians might have been grateful, and thought that giving the Krogans shittier planets would have been a bad thing to do considering their natural aggression and the fact that they bailed the galaxy out from the Rachni.

The Krogans were and frankly are pretty awful. The Genophage is at worst morally ambiguous, because at the time of its creation there was simply no other viable way to stop them that wouldn't have ALSO been genocide, and easily compensated for by the Krogan's rapid growth.

Kim Jong Un please.
>>
>>49157471
Keep in mind, he's stronger in levels, and even then not by much. Polaris has multiple forms, where as Shiva has only one. Plus, Polaris has the conceptual power of the Heavenly Throne, and that's why YHVH has had such a hard time dealing with her and the other Administrators: he can beat them in a straight fight, but that thing's abilities are a pain in the ass to deal with, especially when God has a chunk of the multiverse he has to watch over, as well as fighting Lucifer and the Bels.

I suppose? In canon it required a deity like Lugh, but I suppose if you have the outside perks for such a thing you could pull it off with a tech solution.

As for the COMP, sure, why not.

It's not the whole plot, but it is an important plot point: already having six human SOULs, Flowey/Asriel absorbs all the monster SOULs in order to have the equivalent of seven human SOULs, thus granting him omnipotence, or so he says. Given that he casually destroyed a timeline, he might have been telling the truth.

NO! JUMPERS! EVEEEER! [+600] – Hm, it’s a little early for him to be showing up, but it could be fun to watch. Jumper, you’ve somehow attracted the attention of a mad warrior from beyond time and space, one Barbatos Goetia. And he has decided he absolutely HATES you. The good news is that he is alone and won’t be pursuing you every waking moment of his time here. The bad news is that any time you’re in one place too long, he WILL find you...and his attacks WILL hurt, while you won’t be able to injure or even impede him. The only way to avoid him is to flee and drop whatever you’re doing long enough to escape. But still, no matter where you are, if you sit idle for too long (a day at the most), he will find you again.

Finally, on your tenth year, you will be able to actually fight the madman and harm him. However, there are conditions. The literal second you call upon your companions, your out-of-universe abilities, or even the simplest gear from out of this world, even the most passive and simple of abilities during this duel, you will immediately die. Because he will kill you while screaming the drawback name without any way to save yourself, regardless of your preparations. You need to fight and defeat the powerful warrior using only what this jump gives you, though you must still do so alone. As a small mercy, you CAN in fact use in-jump items without him immediately killing you, though using an All-Divide or some way to instantly end the fight will make that mercy disappear in a flash. You will be given at least a day’s advance warning for the final duel, and be able to shut off any abilities you have if you lacked the capacity for this occasion and this occasion only. Make it a good fight, Jumper.

I made this one a while go but the thread was having a stroke. As usual, have an insane and difficult drawback.
>>
>>49157821
Nah, Daleks are Space Imperial Japan.
Except competent. Ish.
>>
>>49157670
I think it was less stupidity and more desperation and no small amount of butthurt. The Salarians had just gotten over fighting a massively fast reproducing enemy. And then the very race that they uplifted to fight the Rachni turns around and does the same shit? I'd be pissed, especially if I gave them some rad ass worlds as a reward. It seems like very few council races have had other issues with rapid expansion, so the Salarians (being an especially short lived race) had no reason to anticipate it, Not to mention, this time they lacked another ace in the hole species to fight for them like the Krogan.

They weighed their options, and decided that wiping out the Krogan was preferable to the same dickbags taking over the galaxy and wiping out everything else.

Heavens, will you be offering stuff like the Mana Cannon as items, or a perk on how to build stuff like that? Maybe a background based on Dhaos or the demons or something?
>>
>>49157910
Most I'm providing atm is a do-it-yourself item for building a Mana Cannon. So you'll have to build or somehow store one you built yourself, but yes, you can have one. I'm vaguely considering a Derris-Kharlan survivor background, but I feel like it'd too easily overshadow other backgrounds unless I handled it correctly. So wait until I finish the other ones, then I'll see if it won't be an issue. There will be a few Dhaos-based items and perks, at the very least.
>>
>>49157867
No offense, but this seems like an especially wordy way of saying 'lol ur ded'. Is this supposed to be a joke drawback? Is it actually possible to defeat him with only in jump perks/items/whatever? Can he use stuff like All-Divide or whatever? The drawback doesn't really say how powerful he is in the context of the setting.
>>
>>49157979
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chsl6EID50Y

For the record, this fight IS possible using only Tales perks, but it is ungodly awful and difficult. The 'pursuing you until year 10' bit is based on a different game, where if you spent too long level grinding, he'd show up out of the blue and tell you to run the fuck away or he'd kill you.

Basically, imagine if the Final Boss to a mostly unrelated JRPG decided to bully you and chase you around Benny Hill style. That's basically this drawback.

Inspired by the slowly-rising death count of Legion, after the death tally of Draenor.

One Light in the Darkness (+500 - maybe): Disregard the choice of era you may have had - now, you start in the year 25 ADP (After Dark Portal), in a location that best fits your choice of race and class. You are going through the entire story - from when the drums of war begin to thunder, to the Dark Portal's opening to the devastated Outland. The Lich King's invasion, the cracking of the world by Deathwing's will, and the discovery of a lost continent to the south. You will be known as one of the world's greatest heroes, and fight alongside others of your ken, such as Bolvar Fordragon and Khadgar.

But no matter how your actions shape this tale, Wrathion will believe the events in Pandaria to be not enough in uniting the world. Someone will be sent to the other timeline - whether it's Garrosh or not - and the Iron Horde will be formed, and the Dark Portal will turn red and link to the alternate Draenor. And here... is where it will all go wrong.

The deaths will pile up. Slowly but surely, even as you attain victory after victory against the Orcs, those you've fought alongside for years will fall, never to rise again. Gul'dan will be freed to become a powerful scion of the Burning Legion, and the demons' final invasion of Azeroth will commence. The death toll will rise exponentially, many giving their lives to stem the tide. Not even your Companions are safe from this - if they die, they are gone until the end of this story.

For at the end, it will be you and the shattered remnants of the Army of Light and Azeroth's denizens - against the endless Legion, and the Mad Titan Sargeras that heads them.

I don't think you understand what banned means. If you're going to say you can get it anyway, then you can just go ahead and buy it.
There's not some magical "but it's okay if I do this" clause. It's the same power either way.
>>
>>49159078
Yes.

But there are a couple of reasons for this. The main one is that powers bought with CP always work regardless of metaphysics or universal mechanics. Certain versions of MEoDP wouldn't work in other universes without CP as they rely upon metaphysical principles which don't exist there. There's also the issue that big scary artifacts tend to be guarded by/attract the notice of big scary people to go along with them. Also things that you pick up in jump don't respawn in your Warehouse post-jump like things you buy with CP do.

So there's a bunch of reasons why buying stuff with CP is better. But it doesn't mean that you can't acquire other items and powers.

1) Soft Banned means they are present in the jump, but the thread gets mad if you buy it.
2) The argument is about the inclination that you can get around the thread's mad if you just earn the eyes in-jump.
3) This makes no sense, because that's not how people work.
4) If you don't care about the thread's mad, then you can just do whatever you want. Buying or not buying the eyes doesn't matter. Earning the eyes in jump is not somehow better. Just do whatever you feel like doing.

That's not always how it works. For example if you learn D&D magic without paying for it it still works out of verse. You can even teach it to scrubs elsewhere if you're wizard master race.
The only things that explicitly don't work when metaphysics are missing are fiat locked like infinity gems. Some could argue this either way, but jumpers for the most part trump setting. This is because otherwise shit gets really damn confusing.
For example plenty of Final Fantasy magic isn't even possible to pay for. You just learn it on your own even though it sometimes works only because of crystals or mist that doesn't exist in other worlds.

The reason people jump on Red for it so much is she does it way more often than other jumpmakers, so of course she's going to get remembered for that. But it still happens to other jumpmakers. Hell, Vampire Diaries got put on the drive despite the jumpmaker wanking it so much. If thread sees something strong and shiny in a jump, of course they're going to want it.

There's an acceptable level of power that /jc/ tends to tolerate and that power level tends to be the point at which you become so strong that there is little or nothing in even a high power setting that's capable of threatening you in the slightest. This is because at that point it becomes an exercise in masturbation and you may as well just go ahead and Spark. There's no reason for you to be jumping anymore. So a lot of times stuff that's ridiculously OP in other settings will be limited to that setting or will be locked away until post-Spark.

Yeah? And I'm still saying he's wrong.

The only way I'll concede that point is if it's part of a background, which gets discounts, meaning that an entire background overshadows everything else. Which, in all fairness, I'm pretty sure the eyes actually do that. But that is not why people flipped out about them.

But we put massively superior options in jumps that overshadow everything all the time, and people love it. They're just usually their own seperate thing.
>>
>>49159500
There is no such point, shitposter. You just want to control people's chains.
>>
>>49159488
Well look at it this way, anon. People don't just get that hate out of nowhere. Unless you're implying that people just randomly decided to pull a name out of a hate and target them for years every time they post?

But that's drifting off topic. The point is, thread really isn't caring much for lore anymore, or what's an unbalanced option. They care for what's shiny.

Pretty much. One of the biggest criticisms I've seen of the SB Gamer jump, besides it being made by SB and it having a lot of OC, is that The Gamer is far and above the best option.

In general, thread loves super strong 1000 CP options since they tend to be rather interesting (aka not "your strength increases by 300%).

Ascension isn't a fail condition. Ascending is choosing to stay. Godhood = choosing to stay isn't new. At the very least, it was done in FR (or one of the D&D settings anyways), and I'm fairly certain it's been done elsewhere as well. Most of the shit the stargate update got was simply because it's a Red jump.

Yeah, I've noticed that.

I've always held that it's at the point where you can no longer be challenged by anything and the possibility of defeat or losing becomes realistically impossible. If you've got Yukari's boundary manipulation, for example, then there's essentially nothing that you can't do. You're practically omnipotent and nothing can really challenge you unless it's some insanely, unrealistically specific power that hard counters yours or you cripple your abilities down to practical nonexistence. So that's a good example of something that you really should not have pre-Spark.

Yukari isn't omnipotent. Just throwing that out there. She gets trumped by lunarians multiple times and it's outright stated she can't just open a portal on the moon. With the lunarian barrier in the way.
She's got limits, and therefor a jumper with her power would also have those limits.

That's not a joke, by the way. That is actually why he is tossing those chairs around. The only exaggeration is saying that it's chairs specifically and not any product of human civilization at all. Demushu is really angry at humanity for having all these cool things when he's just been standing in the middle of the woods for the past couple of centuries.

Grab her as a companion and get her a power sharing perk. That's all there is too it really. It's not like you'd be unbeatable with that either. Thinker headaches are a bitch after all.

Challange isn't the only reason people jump. Just look at ASA. There's still plenty to do even with arbitrarily large amounts of power.

>>
>>49159871
My point is there is no cap where you have to stop jumping.
Not even if you're literally omnipotent. Auto sparking isn't a thing and if you're too lacking in creativity to think of something to do at that point then the problem is entirely yours.
This doesn't mean you should be able to buy omnipotence, but to claim an arbitrary power limit before there's no reason to continue jumping is absurd.
>>
>>49159861
Contessa doesn't get headaches. It's added in the perk (I think?) as a limiter, but it's not part of her canon power. Her power was unlimited, then Eden slapped a restriction (or two) on it as she sort-of-died, but she never applied the full suite. So no thinker headaches, and the power isn't properly restricted.

Of course, you could also just recreate the shards/entities themselves, which has much more potential but is significantly more difficult. More of a late-chain option unless you build specifically with that in mind.

Few other powers that got away without the proper restrictions. Hero is a great example, Eden died before she could properly restrict it, so if you can rez Hero, he's fucking BULLSHIT.

There's also powers that were intentionally stronger than normal. Nilbog and GU are likely examples.

Not even hating on ASA, but he pretty much has to invent things to challenge him at this point. If he doesn't specifically have things scaling to his power level or a drawback ripping away his powers so he's made of meat, then every jump is a vacation for him. He's not really a good indicator of power.

Especially since he still posts long rambling dialogs about his jumper's builds and feelings, and other people who are supposedly at his level... don't.
So we can't even know if that's normal, or if people are really just steamrolling everything. ASA's an outlier in every sense of the word. He can only be looked at as a potential, not a baseline.

There's also Data Drain and Get Ability from Generic Virtual World and Battlenetwork respectivly. Those are digital only for recieving, but they work in meat space once you're done. Just upload whatever you want to a VR and get to work.

If you're looking for granting there's Loyalty ending Dishonored, and lip service from medaka box. I think avengers has a good one as well.
>>
>>49159959
I don't think I said anything related to that, but yeah? Having said that, Contessa can handle just about anyone in-setting despite being an otherwise normal human, assuming she isn't blindsided by something she can't see coming. With jumper abilities, an unrestricted PtV, and good prep time, you could handle pretty much anything.

Also of note, the "guide" aspect of PtV is mostly fanon. From her interlude:
>Her uncle was only getting to his feet now. Every action was mechanical, spelled out by this surety in her mind’s eye, helped along by a complete, exacting knowledge of how and where to move every body part.

>Seven involved uncorking the right bottles. Eight involved obtaining a specific amount of powder, moving her hand in a careful, precise way, so the exact right amount piled up in her cupped palm. She dashed it into a half-full mug and drank, just as her uncle reached her, putting his hands on her shoulders, shaking her.

Also:
>Her body ached, but it was easy. She knew how to move, how to place her feet so the branches didn’t catch on her or trip her, to avoid the patches of lichen which would break away and make her foot slide on the rock beneath.

Her power gives her the steps and all the info she needs to complete them. Basically, it looks at the future and finds out what it needs to tell her to accomplish the steps properly.

I don't expect to get much use out of this, since I won't be piloting a variable fighter, but since I'm going to be repairing them... it's useful to have knowledge of how they're supposed to work.

Again, I may not be in a fighter, but this doesn't mean this won't matter. Suspicious activity on the ship's deck could have even worse implications than in combat.

It's too late I have seen the wank and it burns.
Friendly reminder that starting a jump with 4000cp is completely fair so long as you die when you're killed and can't stop till you do what you were already going to be doing by getting your spark.
>>
Just working on the Fate Kaleid jump and made some progress with the Ironman Armored Adventures jump. Just a question about what people would prefer with the Berserker class card. Limit its ressurective ability to once per jump, or allow it to have seven lives per jump but mad enhancement is mandatory when god hand is active?

This honestly just saves time. But saving a handful of seconds adds up rapidly. Now I'm wishing I took this jump before Star Trek, this would have come in handy there, repeatedly.
>Fingers of Silver (500, Technician)
Now this is what I'm talking about. Reverse engineering. Coupled with other perks I've got... well, I intend to advance the local technology quite a bit.
>Savvy Sultan (300, Technician)
Speaking of which, this should help immensely with that goal. Building things four times faster? Yes please.
>Ambrosial Artificer (100, Technician)
Oh, now here we go. With these three perks, it should mean total technological superiority for humanity, however they choose to define themselves in the future.
>Macross Series Franchise (0)
And I'm making a copy of this and handing it off to the people in charge. I don't know what good it will do me other than entertainment, and of course familiarizing myself with the goings-on, but having the inside scoop on everything major that's going to happen over the next century or so will have some interesting effects overall.

I don't know Macross, honestly. I'm going to play it straight - I'm going to be a nameless deckhand, but I intend to upgrade the hell out of basically everything I can get my hands on. I'll stick to local technology only, but if the setting is any indicator, things can get hilarious in very short order.

>>
>>49161186
You can solve pretty much every problem with the series just by deactivating the secret boobytrap on the Macross (which somehow the team that reverse-engineered its systems and repaired it never noticed). Then it won't automatically fire on the Zentraedi when they enter the system, and you'll have a relatively peaceful first contact. Relatively.

Could you shitpost any more obviously?

Yeah, but you also have to spend around ten years breaking the encryptions and figuring out how it works, before you can even begin to build anything. This just flat out gives you the blueprints. It was also 800cp if I remember right, 400cp at a discount.

Jump #123: Iji
>Five of Cups (Suffering a loss and wishing for what might have been. Being crippled by sadness, grief, and vain regret.)
This setting would be pretty damn cool if there hadn't been a global apocalypse. I'm going to have to fix that.
I know in darkness, I will find you giving up inside like me.
>Location: A Bunker
With a bunch of dead scientists outside of the room. That's bullshit; have some resurrection magic, come back where it's safe, and explain what the FUCK is going on please.
...they call themselves the Tasen? Oh. Oh shit. Oh, SHIT.
>Identity: Technician
If I am to deal with an invasion by a technically-advanced foe, I'll have to know how to use their strengths against them. Especially if I cannot use them directly myself.
>Drawbacks: Glass Soldier (-200), Technical Pacifist (-200)
So I'm a glass cannon that can't be fired. That's okay. I'll have to find a way to get them to call it off. I mean, there has to be some way to peacefully coexist, right? ...right?
>Technical Expertise (Free, Technician)
Modifying my arms and armor would be useful if I intended to make use of them. Rigging the environment... rather a bit more useful, don't you think?
>Scrambler (1300, Technician)
Cracking enemies so they can do my work for me? That sounds like a delightful idea.
>Overclock (1100, Technician)
Honestly... I don't see much use for this right now. But later, I am interested in finding out just what can be overclocked. I'd like to see whether I can overclock myself while performing non-combat operations, for instance.
>Nanomaster (700, Technician)
Draining power from others... that doesn't quite count as hurting them normally, does it? I suppose being able to apply this to basically everything in the future will be quite useful... draining magical constructs will be quite handy later. And draining power from robots and people now, to knock them out at the least, will be useful now.

>Freak Ray (Free, Technician)

>Aggressive Nanites (500)
Active defense against enemy weaponry? Passive offense against enemies? All of my yes.
>Scanner (300)
Ahh, the knowledge of where everyone is and how everything is built... knowledge is power.
>Skysmashers (0)
A pair of robotic drones, hm? I imagine I could get quite a bit of mileage out of these if I am forced to use them. There are a handful of scenarios where I expect this to be the case.

This is really an unpleasant jump, and most don't really seem to acknowledge it. The world's pretty screwed, and if the Komato get the opportunity they'll happily alpha strike it again, which is guaranteed to kill the remaining slim percentage of the surviving ecosystem.

Basically the idea is to do my best to not hurt anyone, find the Tasen leadership as quickly as possible, and flat-out tell them to make sure no one makes any outbound transmissions from Earth - the Komato think they're all dead, and their secret weapon is a farce.

And... according to the dice that actually worked. Holy shit. Then again it might be because I came out of nowhere and referenced things that they never told anyone, let alone that they could know.

I mean, it definitely means I won't get to see any Komato technology, but... honestly? That's okay. I'm okay with this.

I guess I'll be spending the remaining nine and a half years in-jump setting up terraformers on Earth and Mars so that the Tasen have a place of their own and so humanity can rebuild and reclaim their home.

Also mass-resurrection magic. Mass-resurrection magic for everyone. God I love epic D&D spells.

>>49161259
...oh. Well. Shit, now I don't know!
>>
>>49161230
Yes, but they're still operating on their standing orders from back when the Protoculture existed, and one of those is "don't strike first when dealing with the natives, unless they've been absorbed into the Supervision Army". Granted, the Macross is a Supervision Army ship, but if they see that humanity is just studying it instead of a bunch of mind-controlled space zombies, they shouldn't be too aggressive in their response.

2 - 80s Action Movie - 1000 CP
Background:
Drop-In, 30 Years Old, Male, Somewhere In America - I know I should be happy you didn't ditch, but losing my music career stings.
Perks:
One-Liner (Klint Von Krusha) - Are you sure this is a name?
Bulging Muscles - Does this scale with how tall I am? I'd really rather not mess up my aesthetics.
Don't Look At Explosions - That thing with the bed was a joke, right?
Commando & Ambidexterity (800 CP) - I reserve the right to cackle when shooting.
Swim Like A SEAL (700 CP) - I really hope tangential benefits apply here.
Explosive Environments (600 CP) - I... suppose this could be useful.
Ain't Got Time To Bleed (400 CP) - Probably a good idea to get this.
Theme Music (200 CP) - Now this is just adorable.
Items:
Bandanna (150 CP) - Mooks can't aim. People who can't aim might miss when this does the windy thing. My planning is flawless.
Weapon of Choice (FN Minimi) & Ammo Belt Armor (-100 CP) - [Dignified and Manly Girl Noises of Mirth]
Drawbacks:
Knowing Is Half The Battle (0 CP) - Despite all the WooHoo, my last decade was pretty kid friendly. I'm cool.

While my instincts told me to stay in bed when I arrived, the fact that I was seven foot nine nine laying on furniture meant for someone six foot at the most had me hopping off real fast. Which was good, seeing as when I left the room, the bed exploded. Multiversal daughter of a bitch wasn't kidding on that one. What followed was pretty standard. Got the bandanna going, slung the belt over my shoulder since there were dead men walking kicking in the doors already, and put my guns on. You've probably seen it a thousand times already, so I won't go over the choreography. It was pretty shite. Anyway, the last guy survived, as usual. Took a lone kneecap for him to tell me what's up.

Hope you realise I was being sarcastic. Offering it in a star wars jump for that cheap is nuts.
>>
>>49161259
Speed up the deployment of Deculture in the First Space War, though. Otherwise the Atmospheric Cleansing Operation will go off first, and billions will die. It's really easy to forget that happened, given how well humans and Zentraedi get along in later installments.
>>
>>49161055
That's not true, though.
>>
>>49161278
...You know. It's actually pretty embarassing. If I just looked up, I'd have noticed New York was on fire. Not sure how that one worked, actually. A city being ablaze 24/7 makes no s- alright, alright. The point is, nukes fell for whatever reason and some crazy fuck named Hans Hansen used his own personal army to take over the place. Called himself Lord Damnation, Master of the Five Hellbreakers. I felt like I was in some strange parody made by someone who didn't actually know what the 80s were like. Long story short, I ran around killing people and looting guns until I managed to take over a jeep. Except, I can't fucking drive. Luckily, the writers threw me a bone in the form of this ragged looking lady asking whoever didn't try shooting her on principle for help saving her daughter. One thing led to another, and I did the beat 'em up thing. In Staten Island (where I woke up on), I fought (and killed) Jerry Thomas, some crazy veteran who turned his territory into a literal concrete jungle, then took a ferry to Brooklyn. There was a bunch of kids who wanted to go too, but I told them about the dangers of doing drugs and they dispersed. There, I fought (and killed) Jack Bojack in a sniper duel as the nuclear snow fell on a dusty hill. That one was... nostalgic. Reminded me of swords, for some reason.

Fucking post limits.

[200 CP, free Chiss] Art is insightful: You gain the peculiar ability that Grand Admiral Thrawn possesses. The ability to study a species culture and history through art and factor psychologically how certain individuals or flaws in a society's thinking and apply it to your enemies. Disclaimer:Art must be obtained or sold separately.

I'm sorry, could you repeat that?
>>
>>49161317
From there it was a clean walk into Queens, where I fought (and did not kill) Madame Carnage. Turns out she was the ragged lady's sister, and stopped trying to cave my skull in with her spiked tonfas when the sis ran into the boss arena. For some reason, they started talking about how their estranged mother drunk a lot and this is why Madame turned out bad (since Ragged Lady lived with the father), which turned into a tangent about how adultery ruins families. I agreed, because it was the truth and also beer tastes like shit. Once that was done, I swam to The Bronx. Had to fight off some radcrocs, but thanks to those wacky belgians making guns so good they work in water I dealt with the lil' reptiles easily. When I made landfall, I found the source of the constant ominous red lighting. THIS is where all the fire was at. An ocean of napalm, with a tower to the heavens constantly spewing more of it.

I took a quick dip towards Manhattan instead of dealing with THAT shit. Blame budget cuts or something.

Once I got there, it was a quick and clean gauntlet towards the gold mansion (Literally. His pad was made of solid gold.) where the big cheese lived in. 'Course, skipping a stage didn't get rid of the boss, so I had to fight The Firefly in an scintillating diamond-studded hall. I wasn't exactly dodging everything until now, but... both of my arms were burnt to shit at that point. He blew up thanks to his own napalm tanks, but I still had to save the little girl. Past the door, I could see Hans sitting besides the chica in some oval office rip-off, his men lined up and ready to go the moment I took a single step toward his smug face.
>>
>>49161286
Well, maybe. Exactly how cheap is it?

Considering the jump is from SB, I'm sure it has major problems, but offering good tech isn't one of them.

Also, you do know that you can literally just steal them with meta-knowledge right? And it's not even like it's "free" like some other fiat-locked shit. Just fucking drive to Tatooine... Hey, free Death Star plans! Also, Star Wars seems to have some pretty shitty security on all fronts.
>>

I didn't do it. I turned to a random wall, and made a speech about discretion. Courage and bravery are good, but there are times where you need to do what is right for yourself, not for someone else. Don't run in just because it's cool, think of what your parents will feel if you're gone, and all that jazz.

The rest of my decade wasn't worth telling. I'm not sure what the Ragged Lady or her sis thought of this, and the Benefacor was mildly amused at seeing such a hard backdown. Never found out what happened to the little girl either.

One more reason to finish this journey. Even though I do not regret my actions, I want to know why Hansen even bothered with her. Not like this is some fantasy sci-fi thing where she might have had superpowers.

This is why I'll keep on fighting. To find that answer!

Man, that sucked.
>>
>>49161379
Oh, I'm sorry, you must not be familiar with Star Wars. See, let me explain. This ability? Do you know who else in the entire history of Star Wars has demonstrated it besides Thrawn?

No one. No one has been able to replicate this feat. Not force sensitives, not famous badasses like Revan or the Emperor, no one. This is something that Thrawn alone could do. And it allowed him to kick the ever living shit out of the New Republic, allowed him to predict the moves of his enemy and crush them with almost casual effort. By the end of the Thrawn Conflict, the once beaten and broken Imperial Remnant was outright invading New Republic space, and in desperation the NR sent a fleet to Thrawn's base of operations to try and remove the snake's head. Only to be caught flat footed because he had predicted they would do that and thanks to an Interdictor, they were stranded far away from their target. So how did he lose? He lost because as it turns out, Leia and Luke are Vader's kids, and they were able to turn the Noghri against him and one of his own body guards murdered him. That's it. So no, you do not give that kind of ability away for 200cp, and especially not for free. Especially since no one else, including the fucking CHISS, have been able to replicate it, or even figure out how he did it.

NEW YORK CITY?! Get the rope.
>Identity: Omega-1 Nanite Recipient
>Drawbacks: Yandere Breach (-300), Consortium Backstabbing (-300)
Oh fuck I picked a yandere. Who can time travel. I am going to have to devote so much of my resources to keeping her off my back... times like this make me glad I have clones.
Also screw the Consortium - if they want immortality I'll give it to them, because I actually CAN, but they're not going to be happy. And trying to capture me really will not work out as well as they hope.
>Nanite Sciences (1500)
I imagine that combining knowledge of local nanites with Iji's nanites should make people here cry. Once they're done drowning in technical terms.
>Minor Mutation: Energy Generation (1400)
>Minor Mutation: Expulsion Attack (1300)
These two work together most excellently. Of course, I tend to glow since these are energy-based. Usually clothes are sufficient to hide that, but when I'm ramping up to actually use it as an attack, it's going to be very blatant. The energy is, more or less, sunlight... actually, I wonder if I could tune it to particular frequencies. Normally sunlight itself, but coherent light if I focus..?
>Major Mutation: Energy Control (500)
Oh, right. I nearly forgot - this works with them as well. When more power is saved up, I'll glow more, or end up being blatant about the fact that I have stored energy a la electricity arcing. Between these three working in sync, this is honestly Meltdowner-level energy blasts if I choose to run them at full force.
Anyone not wearing SPF two million sunblock is gonna have a real bad day.
>>
>>49161557
>Enhanced Body (Free, Nanite Recipient)
Increased body beyond baseline? Sure, why not?
>Nanite Removal and Control (300, Nanite Recipient)
Control over nanites is definitely handy. A pity I can't really afford technopathy with this, but I've got that covered in other ways. Plus, healing others with my nanites. Can't really say no to that. Kind of wishing I had this during Iji, though.
>Nanite Machine Creation (0, Nanite Recipient)
Oh, now this'll be handy. If I ever need a machine that isn't particularly complex (i.e. 21st century technology) I can probably fabricate it and then let it dissolve back to dust when I'm done. Very handy. I don't really care about the giant robot form, but it's a nice ace card to keep in my pocket.

Basically my build is 'needs more gun: the jump'. I doubt I'll be USING that particularly often, and I intend to use perks from earlier in the chain to make sure that the giant fuckoff laser is non-lethal, but... yeah, the Consortium's going to suffer once they turn their attention on me. Because I'm going to point out to the yandere that they're screwing with me and they wouldn't even let the fact that I'm in a different dimension stop them from hunting me down.

Fuck, this means I have to companion her too, doesn't it?

Of course, the world's got a lot of crap going on otherwise; I'll be happy to chip in and do my part to make it not suck. Bailing out the main character when he gets in too far over his head will keep me occupied, if nothing else.

If you had an item which could absorb the traits of other items, would it be possible to absorb Noble Phantasms to further strengthen it?
>>
>>49161767
Depends on how good the absorbtion is. Can you do conceptual stuff? Because I don't see why not otherwise.
Thing is if you've got a bunch of noble phantasms lying around you might be better off using them as is. It's not like you can't use more than one at once. Just look at Gil.
>>
>>49161767
I don't think so, Noble Phantasms are less items and more spells that look like items. You'd want an item that absorb the traits of magic it comes into contact with. I'm sure we have something like that somewhere in the drive.
>>
>>49161784
King Arthur, maybe? Or Harry Potter?
>>

Maybe, maybe not. A lot of NP are specific to the person using them, several are more magic than item, and some only actually exist due to the person wielding it. Such as Nine Lives: The Shooting Hundred Heads, is a noble phantasm that Shirou copied by recreating berserker's Axe-sword despite the np belonging to berserker and having nothing to do with whatever weapon he happens to be wielding at the time(Shirou does this by copying and recreating the legend of the NP and using the Axe Sword as a guide). It would also depend on the power of the trait absorption, such as a mystic code form type moon would in no way be able to absorb the traits of a Noble Phantasm.

Jump # 67 Journey to the West
Background: Immortal (200)
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Starting Location: The yellow River

Perks:
Celestial Bureaucracy (0)
Trigram Knowledge and Manipulation (300, Discount)
Enlightenment (600)

Equipment
*Phoenix feather cap (100)
*Peaches of Immortality (200)

Drawbacks
*Journey to the West (+400)

Ughh… this was not an easy journey. I still don’t know how one monk can get in to so much trouble. I got to hang out with Sun Wukong who was a cool guy… Also had to deal with a stupid pig guy who would not quit hitting on me… I don’t care if he used to be an immortal or not he was annoying.

Anyways, I think anything that theoretically could do so, tried to take a bite out of Xuanzang. I get that they believed they would achieve immortality by eating the guy but… I would have expected after the first few didn’t fare so well that maybe they would think twice.

I tried to resolve what I could peacefully. Something about traveling with Xuanzang made me a bit reluctant to fight in front of the guy. So I used diplomacy when I could and trickery and Illusions when I couldn’t. This led the others to thinking I was not a strong fighter, which led to a shock when I finally did have to fight. It was funny to see Zhu Baijie turn white as a sheet when during the fight I picked up Riyu jingo bang and clubbed a few demons with it. Sadly apparently that little feat did not deter him from trying to woo me. Damn pig.

We managed to return the scriptures. Xuanzan and Sun achieved Buddhahood, the rest got their rewards and I got a thanks and to attend a few meals of the gods. Well not the greatest of rewards but I was able to get a few more peaches and some pills of immortality so it wasn’t too bad.

How does one determine "rank" post-jump if they decide to purchase God-Hand at A or above?
>>
>>49161888
Compare whatever is attacking you with whatever rank Noble Phantasms you could usually block. If it seems like it does more damage then the NPs you could block, it's rank is too high for God Hand to negate.
>>
>>49161888
fan wank. Or just look at examples of what it can do and reasonably infer it's capabilities from that.
Same with pretty much any other Fate thing involving rank.
>>
>>49161888
For the most part scale of damage, such as I think Berserker lost a life to a gem that was at the level of completely blowing away a house, at least I think that's what Rin said bout those gems. Also for strength though anyone with more than 50 times peak human could do damage through mundane means.
>>
>>49161947
>anyone with more than 50 times peak human could do damage through mundane means.

Wait, what?

Oh, wait. You're talking about stats, aren't you? But then they wouldn't be able to do it more than once, either.
>>
>>49161722
If I know my Tarot, isn't Ten of Swords the worst card in the whole deck, even worse than reversed Death, Tower and Devil?
>>
>>49161985
Transmetropolitan is not a jump that would kill a jumper, especially if they don't need to breathe and can shift shape at will, but it definitely guarantees that my time there is set to MAXIMUM weirdness.

Fucking vacation jumps.
>>
>>49161971
Yes I'm talking about the stats, and yea one hit basically.
>>
>The thread has managed to last about ten hours
Wow. That's...kind of impressive?
>>
>>49162000
Oh yeah, you've got the Horcrux contingency thing. Short of Infopollen neuron disease, willing Fogletification or other transhumanism, not much can hurt a well built jumper, just by the freebie perks that boost them above rank and file.
>>
>>49162036
Exactly. Still, if it weren't for that card I'd have considered it a vacation, as I said. Oh well, I suppose the next jump will have to suffice.

Ghost in the Shell, here I come.

Who am I kidding, that won't be a vacation either.
>>
Rolled 397 (1d1000)

>>49162051
I'm sure it won't be that bad.

Once we hit the bump limit it really just amounts to how fast the board is moving. Sometimes /tg/ is slower than other days.

How is Gilgamesh able to "play around with Saber" in CQC if he's supposedly not having mastered any weapons to their full potential?
>>
>>49162062
Well, that is one setting where I intend to well and truly upset the status quo.

Ghost in the Shell is post-apocalypse, but fuck them if they think I'm going to sit there and let it become Appleseed.
>>
>>49161822
There is a perk for that in Overlord.

Really powerful one. You could even steal Reinhard's Longinus and hit him with it.

If something bypasses God Hand, but isn't enough to kill us due to other factors, does that still count for its guardian effect?
>>
>>49161971
Yes, but then you'd have used up your life. You only become immune to anything that kills you, not anything that bypasses your defence.
>>
>>49162080
Plot inconsistency, and he may have mastered Ea, Shirou just won't let him use Ea.
>>49162094
I honestly don't know, you may have to ask Val about that.
>>
>>49162080
Just because he hasn't mastered things doesn't mean he's not still immensely talented and skilled. Most Servants just completely master their weapons. Gil still has great stats, powerful NPs and great judgement and instincts for combat.

One of the biggest factors for fighting Saber was his golden armour, where he could just easily block Saber's sword by holding his hands in front of his head, since she couldn't pierce his armour.

So, I've just been looking through the core Exalted 3ed charms lists for the Mortal Gauntlet (why do nerds get to create life and eat life?! Dangit Fair-Eyes!) and the prereqs. wut caste Makoto?

Is there any hard rule on whether any Exalted can continue to hone their skills and gain Essence once outside Creation?
>>
>>49162094
>Guardian
Do you mean the immunity to that attack? I doubt it, since Berserker himself only became immune to stuff that actually killed him.
>>
>>49155292
Oh my! I'm loving the Witch's perk.

>>49155371
>>49155857
I was just thinking that! Along side picking up all the food options, I've been picking up intimidation and fear perks. Even got one that increases your power the more people are scared of you.

This will be fun. Gonna have to edit my build slightly.

Don't worry, as far as I know all the current Exalted jumps operate on 2e guidelines since 3e just has a corebook out for now. That said, in all editions nerds get to create life (not sure about the eating part) because Essence is the missing link between magic, science, spiritualism and psionics in the sense of being a measurement of the energy that gives rise to life, and therefore knowing enough about how to manipulate it also teaches you how to make people out of it.

As far as I know there's nothing stopping you from the latter.

>>49158938
It's been a while since I've watched the movies but-while that's technically both true, IIRC isn't there a big thing in the Nasuverse where modern magecraft is generated by what are essentially forcefield-bubbles of magical energy which conveys a discrete mystic effect with conceptual properties?

Or to explain the consequences of that, Araya's limitless space trap was a property of the ridiculously complex magical forcefield around his apartment, the guy who "created" the timeline Shiki "killed" had a specific kind of magical eye which, as Mikiya explained, operates by projecting a bubble of probability-distorting magical energy which makes his perceived future come true-and in both cases Shiki cut the magical energy, not abstract concepts per se

Going to have a major OOC moment here to clear up some things: This, more than anything, is why I genuinely don't think of my build as minmaxing or a power fantasy. It's like Evangelion; powerlevels aren't relevant in and of themselves, the whole exercise is supposed to be a somewhat surreal and morbid character study.

At least, it was supposed to be. Full disclosure-between trying to reconcile the vast array of abilities the Jumper theoretically has at his disposal and asking myself What Would ASA Do? at any given moment, it's admittedly been something of a challenge to come up with challenging situations at times. It's coming to the point where I'm starting to think up combos for the opponents to use rather than just combos for my own Jumper

But the reason why I picked Gurren Lagann's big bad as my avatar all those threads ago instead of, say, Galactus or Dream of the Endless or Dr. Manhatten, was because I was writing from the perspective of a depressed, pessimistic workaholic with control issues and really bad repressed issues. See, ASA has never, and no matter how hard he tries to overcompensate likely will never, genuinely buy all his own hype. His deepseated spite and rage comes from the paranoia in certain knowledge that there are beings out there who would be infinitely beyond his power and scope even if he performed a million Darkhallows, and the perfectionist work ethic of someone who actually sits down and decides to mutilate himself into a spiritual factory line or incarnate as pure evil is born of desparation, regret and self-loathing.

I'm not defending or denying the arbitrary powers part entirely. I'm just saying I consider none of them to be an instant-fix to the actually relevant conflicts in my chain and that they come with extremely severe consequences to the user and successfully or not, I've tried to use that impetus for character development.

I thought I'd post one of these

101. Homeworld
==============
Background - Fleet Leader
Scenario - The Long Journey Home

Perks
- Inspiration
- Ambush - 200
- Master Strategist - 500

- Strike Craft - x70
- Corvett
- Carrier - 600
- Sajuuk - 1800
- Inertialess Drive - 2000

Drawbacks
- The Greatest War - 1000

First thing I'll tell you is that despite my questionable history with the Ecclesiarchy I'm not exactly happy when almost an entire race gets genocided, especially when they're human.

The second thing that I'll tell you is that I know how Homeworld is played. SALVAGE EVERY MOTHERFUCKING THING YOU SEE. I mean it didn't take them long to counter salvage corvettes, but by then I had a reasonably sized hive ship, so I sent my daughters out to board and take control.

The enemy changed a few times and the old strategies worked again, but the Taiidan kept making me push the envelope. They developed a toxin they could add to their atmosphere that hurt my daughters, I gave them hazardous environments suits, they gave all of their crew armor piercing weapons, we just started sending ships filled with poison in their direction and the troop ships came later. They developed neutralization agents, we changed the formula.

And sure, they tried copying our tactics, but Progenitor weaponry was exempt from the drawback, so the few ships that did get through had a rough time with those. I was saving my ultimate weapon; the Micro Dimensional Eater for the battle over Hiigaria, but in the end I decided that the last thing I wanted to do was piss off all the other races for violating some kind of WMD treaty I knew nothing about and extend the conflict.

I did get to use it on that god damn ghost ship that grabbed a few of my capitol ships though. Fuck that guy.

A very hot shower helps with the dirty feeling anon. Then treat yourself to something chocolate to remove the emotional trauma.
>>
>>49162657
That looks like a pretty damned solid build. I especially like the use of a weapon like that on that damn ghost ship. That thing is such a pain in the ass. (Tip: steal as many multi-beam corvettes as you can and use them against it. It can't take control of corvettes and they're immune to gravity wells to boot.)

Also, inertialess drive is a beautiful thing. I hope you were able to retrofit all those destroyers and capships you got.
>>
For the Naruto jump, if I take True Jinchuriki, do I get extra CP for the mandatory drawbacks?
>>
>>49162714
A few of them
Most of them I put on defense so speed wasn't essential where as weapon upgrades were. Those that had it were the distraction fleet for my various attempts at Salvage.

It's all about effective allocation of resources.

What's a Spark? Edition
>>
>>49162994
How many jumpers have truly gone for their spark? Most have kept going or lost interest. Or, indeed, a handful have gone back home.
>>
>>49162976
I agree with this.
>>
>>49163006
I don't think I'll ever get my spark. I don't want my childish escapism to ever end.
>>
>>49163006
Most people that had actually made past the 200 jumps usually just put their chains on hold and start a new one.

Think on all those characters that have no spark, trapped forever in a story without an end.

102.Megaman X
=============
Origin - 8th Armored unit
Background - Dropin

Perks
- Survival Instincts - 50
- Ingenuity - 200
- Fortune's Smile - 500
- V.W.E.S. - 1100

Items
- Custom Gun - Rifle
- Custome Melee - Light KBAR
- Power Armour
- Z-Saber - 1500

Drawbacks
- High-Value Target
- Hunted Hunter

At this point I'm probably safer as a flesh bag rather than a robot, what with all the regeneration perks. Dispite that I'll be relying on my cyberisation perks from Ghost in the Shell for this one. Can never have to many luck/improvisation perks/intuition perks, and I'm sure V.W.E.S. could be abused for something, like SMT big bad abilities.

All that's beside the point though, this is my chance to pull my spider tank out of the garage, jack in to the control hardware and strafe in to a target rich environment. Put on some Carpenter Brut and defend humanity.

It is for that reason that when I get to the end of a chain I typically try to find a satisfactory end to them, myself. I've had a few. Two went to DBZ. One tried to go big in Tenshi.
