Welcome to the MTG flake/lore thread!
Last Thread: >>49118989

Previously: The Ice Age Continues.

Writefagging last time: Flight from Stensia >>49132842

If you want ANYTHING to go in the repo, just summon me. Otherwise I will only put writefagging and sheets in the repo.

Also, I added the blank template to the ALL FLAKESHEETS folder. And the old snowsheets are under "Snowstorm sheets" > "1- ALL FLAKE SHEETS."

To summon me simply say
>OP OP, I SUMMON THEE. PLACE THIS FILE IN THE REPOSITORY.
Unless that's too gay.

What does your flake do?

Reposting question from last thread:

How much magic can a freshly awakened planeswalker learn in, let's say, a decade, starting from nothing?

White and blue. Illusions, counters, tapping/untapping, cantrips, hieromancy.

>>49137714
u cheeky cunt

>>49137779
Cute!
>>
Is there a way to watch the creative panel?
>>
>>49137788
White and blue are the colors of regimented, disciplined learning. There are no sudden flashes of insight, there is no bargaining with great powers for an easier chance to learn these powers, there is no sudden surge of power in times of great turmoil.

Nonetheless, personal prowess matters a great deal. If they're a sort of prodigy, they could easily end up at Jace-tier. If they're fairly average, they'd probably just be as smart as your typical planebound wizard. But the only way to advance in that sort of magic is to just persevere and study your butt off.
>>
>>49137748
I did? I was only half paying attention when I made this one.
>>
One of the character's preferred "spells" is Bandage. What does this tell you about them?
>>
So we can confirm the repository is just dead-dead now, right? No one can go in and update it?
I'd really like Thane’s updated sheet to be in there when his turn at the ice age comes up.
>>
>>49137953
They're the type of person who doesn't rely on magic for healing. At least I think that's what Bandage means. It's also a cantrip, implying they value knowledge rather highly.
>>
>>49138047
You can just make a new repository and download everything into it from the old one.

The other way around of >>49140503
Druids and elves on Kaladesh can feel the way the aether moves through the air, and they manipulate the metal to best serve that need or something.
As another anon put it
Worldbuilding tl;dr: elves have aethervision in this plane and are best at guiding aether around as it is a core part of the ecosystem of kaladesh. They are also why everything metal has a curved organic look.

King Artorius Pendraig is a joke flake that's just a straight rip off of King Arthur. Ban he.
Kaina has no actual bio or powers, we know nothing about her. Ban she.
>>
>>49141735
I think the king arthur flake can stay. Besides the joke origins it otherwise checks out I think. Maybe?

Kaina has damn near nothing to learn about her character on her bio, so I don't think we can guess her ability well.

>>
>>49141992
It was so long I didn't even notice that.

That's a definite ban he.
>>
>>49141992
ahhhh, if that's the case then no, I don't think he can do that, unless he's physically wearing the angel somehow.
is... is he? Eww.
>>
>>49141992
Also, he is a human from Serra's Realm during the pre-mending. There's no way he would still be alive.
>>
>>49141963
Made of mana or not, I doubt an angel can be turned into a suit of armor.

>>49141986
Young boy lived on Serra's realm and thought angel's were great. Mom made fake wings and he put them on and jumped off a roof. Angel kept him from going splat and showed him a good time. She is now his best friend all his life. When his knight training is done SERRA HERSELF turns the angel into living armor for the boy-now-"man" to wear
Phyrexia invades and they get their shit pushed in, Tristram planeswalks away and now the angel can defuse with his armor and become a companion that rides on him as armor whenever he planeswalks.

>>49142027
Yes, yes he is.
>>
>>49142027
No, it looks like the armor he's wearing bonds him to the angel and calls it to wherever he goes somehow?
>>
>>49142030
I'd say if he got away before urza collapsed it he would have survived, but the angel armor fiasco is not something that we can let slide, he goes.
>>
>>49142047
My mistake. Still it seems as if the armor can rip the angel across the blind eternities to his side. That's a lore break, especially after the mending.
>>
>>49141735
The match-ups are as follows:

>Ivander VS Unit IV
Ivander gets a bye to the next round as the result of Unit IV's disqualification.

>King Artorius Pendraig VS Serena

>Kaina VS Tristram

>Anna VS Myrina

I think Serena's got this, but not as easy as the others seem to think. Arthur's got greater numbers and protection, and the only reason it isn't a toss-up in my mind is because of serena's aerial superiority and lightning helix is hax in regards to ranged combat.

>Anna vs Myrina
probably Myrina, far more combat-capable and with stronger bonds to the magic she weilds, a better magic user and a better fighter, so she has a good deal of advantage here.

>Artorius vs Serena
Innistrad angels are very powerful and Serena, FUCKING PISSED, is no exception to that, and she's a planeswalker on top of that. Serena by a country mile.

>>
>>49142644
I would like to say in her original bio Gaia was hooked to the plane and being reduced to neowalker level means her plane collapses and kills her like it did in her story.
>>
>>49142707
That's cheap. The only way her opponent hopes to win. But cheap.
>>
>>49142644
Is Gaia even enterable anymore? What version of her will be fighting?
>>
>>49142687
There is in fact no guarantee that you would have to fight Gaia just because your names appear next to each other on the list. I randomize the first list so that you can't guess the match-ups until after we start disqualifying.
>>
>>49142746
Oh I know, it's just that the chance is there. It's the whole "One door has a prize, one door has nothing, and one door has a man eating alligator" mindset.
>>
>>49142644
If we're using the core Gaia, ban she. She's the comatose soul of a world, unless she's awake. Keep in mind that according the rules, if she is awake, she's reduced to the same level as other walkers and her world-building abilities mean almost nothing. Gaia genuinely isn't that strong in this format, if she's acceptable at all.

So either Gaia is not a viable entry or Gaia is relatively under-powered and under-whelming.
>>
>>49142764
That's hilarious.

>>49142737
So what you do
Is you take Gaia
and whatever her opponent is
and you throw them into a vague location
and you treat them as non-meme, post-mending walkers.

And then you figure out who would win if they fought.

I know that I just put that ridiculously, but that's really pretty much it. You take characters out of their context, you bind them to the same rules, and they battle.
>>
>>49142795
She may not have that raw power, but she still has the knowledge and spell-selection of a FUCKING OLD oldwalker who made a plane. That's still scary as hell.
>>
>>49142798
Not that guy, but there is three different fightable gaias of different, yet all high, levels of power and fighting ability that need to be considered. Gaia's anon says her postmending survived Gaia has access to lots of the same spells. We rolling with that?
>>
File: image.jpg (73KB, 312x445px) Image search: [Google]
image.jpg
73KB, 312x445px
Just letting everyone know that we have equipment in the lore that becomes (houses) creatures. Pic related.
>>
>>49142852
I suspect the soul would either be forced out of it or be destroyed were someone to attempt planeswalking while it was ensouled.
>>
>>49142841
And the disadvantage of being a world soul for eons is that she's probably severely off-kilter when she awakes at last and probably not used to using her magic in any combat situation.

The potential for power is there but she needs to shake off the cobwebs and remember, she's a world-builder first and a combatant second, if that.
>>
If anyone has questions, just ask. Damn, why couldn't this have happened while I was sober? Oh well. This is fun anyhow.
>>
Admittedly, I figured Gaia would be the talking point of this round. That's some big, unusual backstory to take into account.
>>
File: image.jpg (80KB, 312x445px) Image search: [Google]
image.jpg
80KB, 312x445px
>>49142852
Also, another example of artifacts becoming critters.
>>
All I advise is do not fall for the meme magic of Gaia.

No matter how powerful Gaia once was, she is depowered to the same level as other planeswalkers, she was never a fighter primarily and she has a lot of drowsiness to shake off tens of thousands of years spent comatose.

Consider this when rating her fight. I won't call for her disqualification though.
>>
>>49142908
Honestly, I expect she'll take the number 1 spot if she is allowed to fight, I cannot think of a flake in the repository that can face her on equal footing that won't be disqualified.

>>49142948
This changes things. If downgraded, gaia can be beat, though she's still a pretty tough cookie.
>>
>>49142906
Gaia
you're never sober.
>>
>>49142948
>she was never a fighter
Not to be that guy, but she did ignite on the battlefield as a soldier.

That is all.

Fuck, I'm sorry.
>>
>>49142906
Implying you're ever sober, slut.
>>
>>49143003
And what did she do in terms of fighting after that? Has fighting been a big part of her existence as a planeswalker?
>>
>>49143019
I mean, how much sword-fighting does an oldwalker need to do? I'd figured she kept it up as a way to honor her heritage, and she thinks of swordplay/martial arts as a form of art and self-expression. So she kept up the practice as a way to stay in touch with her roots and artistically express herself. But really, I've left a lot of her history vague. War Gaia fights with an enchanted sword post-mending that she uses to channel her spells. So there's that. Really, it's up to the thread as to what is what. Did that make sense?
>>
>not disqualifying Gaia so she can finally be reunited with Will
>>
>>49143068
Her original sheet actually has none of her history outside of her making a plane and sleeping in it. No ignition, no life before ignition, no experiences before the plane-making, etc.

In any case, I'd still imagine she's really, really rusty after waking up, unless her skills are somehow maintained like she never went into an eon-long coma.
>>
>>49143111
>wanting to be united with the shit who collapsed her plane
>>
I know you guys are mostly focused on Gaia, so I took the opportunity to scrutinize literally all of the other flakes. So here are my questions.

>Leeharll
How does a human live this long if they were born pre-mending?

>Salicia
Can you survive the process of being turned into an Innistrad vampire these days?
>>
>>49143113
It's true. Her history and ignition were a writefaggin I did. Though, it needs to be updated to fit her retconned origins.

And yeah, she probably is rusty. I mean, I'd never planned on her fighting other walkers when I made her, to be honest. She's as much of a setting as she is a character.
>>
>>49143135
With leeharl I imagine, while immortality is hard, smaller lifespan extensions are probably pretty easy, especially in green/blue, but I will admit her bio doesn't actually say that. The vampire thing is still viable as far as I know.

Any other opinions?
>>
>>49143135
Yep, being made into an Innistrad vampire still keeps you alive. It's a condition of the blood, not undeath or even identity death, like compleation is.
>>
>>49143135

Where does it say she was pre mending?
>>
>>49143251
"She ran wild with the Gruul, until the original Guildpact failed."

That event happened before the Time Spiral block.
>>
>>49143272
Then that brings up the problem of her either having to be on Ravnica from before the guildpact was signed or not being able to go there since the Guildpact put Ravnica in its own little bubble.
>>
>>49143135
Innistrad vampirism is a demon designed curse, but you're still alive. They were almost literally designed so Sorin could be a vampire and a planeswalker.
Zendikar vampires are similar, just an eldrazi made curse, so that's still a slim maybe

The mending and the dissolution of the first guildpact wasn't too long ago. IIRC there was a UR where a grandfather took his grandson to see a play about the original Ravnica block with having happened in grandpa's lifetime.
>>
>>49143312
Classic Ravnican vamps, Moroi, are also living, but appear to getting phased out in favor of traditional vamps, much to my displeasure.
>>
So, in theory, if we take Gaia as she's written on her sheet...

And we drop her into the middle of a battlefield...

She would suddenly be affected by the mending, and awake.

How do you think she would try to fight, having just suddenly lost a lot of her power?

As an oldwalker, she is practically a god. As a neowalker, she is whatever she was before her spark ignited, but with gained experience.
>>
Matchups soon?
>>
>>49143331
Actually the Morii weren't the only kind of vampires on Ravnica. Szadek himself looked like a more classical vampire, but was from another race of psychic vampires that were almost extinct.
>>
>>49143312
It was uncle and nephew I believe, and it has been roughly 60 years since the guildpact fell.
Humans on Ravnica live a fuck long time.

honestly I haven't the foggiest. There is a narrative Gaia had for being a depowered former oldwalker turned neo-walker, but we don't have the info for that iteration of the character. Even as a neo-walker I imagine her power's pretty fucking high, but I can't guess to what extent.
>>
>>49143346
She's been living in an immaterial state as the core of a world.
I imagine the first thing she'd need to do is remember how to move.
Didn't Nahiri have trouble breathing when she unsealed herself from Zendikar when the eldrazi almost got out the first time.
I remember something about her lungs being raspy and her vocal cords needed to fix themselves.

Dragons are also not supposed to be a thing on Ravica.

Niv-Mizzet was supposedly the last dragon, according to the Guildpact novel. The focus of that book is that an Izzet Magelord, Zomaj Hauc, is secretly trying to resurrect and hatch some dragon eggs that he found that were meant to have hatched back in Niv's day. With the intention of using the unparalleled power of multiple dragons to take over Ravnica.

DISCUSS!
>>
>>49143667
No disqualifications this time. Nice.
>>
>>49143667
>Kikiki vs Gran-gran
Tough call, really tough. Gonna have to swing in favor of kikiki, as while they are both seemingly equal in magic power, gran appears to have lost a fighting will by comparison.

>Lee vs Sal
I think the vamp has this one. Race advantage and that fucking titan make for a powerful foe, though I will say Lee has some nice spells and skills.

>gaia vs-
if it ain't a monster or a big-leager, it ain't winning. It's going to take a post second round survivor to challenge even a depowered Gaia by my estimation, but it could be possible. Just not the current foe.

>Thane vs Kaya
ouch, really tough call. I think thane might have this one, but Kaya's skillset could render his power advantage less useful. Might have to toss for my vote on this one.
>>
>>49143667

>Granny Swamp Vs Kikiki
IT'S A GOOD THING WE'RE IN A SWAMP BECAUSE IT'S ABOUT TO GET FROGGY

>Salacia Vs Leeharll
Innistrad Vampires are pretty tough customers, which means I feel like Lee is at a big disadvantage here.

>Gaia vs Iriqi
Iriqui is interesting, but I feel that even discounting meme power, Gaia is a very powerful if rusty planeswalker, and I think she would triumph here.

>Thane vs Kaya
They seem pretty evenly matched, honestly.

>Not fighting Gaia
Well that's a sigh of relief. Now, onto the matches:
>Grandma vs Kikiki
I do think that Kikiki has the edge. They both basically specialize in ruining people's day but Kikiki seems like he'd be faster on the draw than grandma

>Salicia VS Leeharll
To start with Salicia is stronger, faster, and more durable the Leerharll due to being an innistradi vampire.
Plus she has humans who summon demons for her. That's a plus.

>Gaia vs Iriqi
Both are dreamers, but I imagine Gaia instantly becoming a neowalker and thrust into a physical body is going to give her a hell of a slow start penalty. Still, if she has any finesse with using mana, and not just overtapping for every spell, she has a much bigger arsenal than Iriqi

>Thane VS Kaya
If I'm reading her powers right, Kaya specializes in creature magic/control type stuff, which is great. She's also blind, which is a bit of a nerf.
Thane's powers are mostly geomancy, elementals, and making the plane decide that everything in a certain area needs to stop existing.
Like other anons said, it's a really close match, but I'd have to say Thane would win due to better mobility an a more awkward powerset for her to fight against. Animals are animals, but living/mobile are a bit harder to deal with.
And I'm trying hard to not be biased.

Can healing magic restore lost limbs? How popular are magical or biological prosthetics?
>>
>>49147778
I think that's the point of the Regenerate mechanic. But, we have Etherium prosthetics on Alara.
>>
>>49147778
Biological prosthetics were all the rage on Ravnica during Momir Vig's Simic since they could just you cytoplast to glue a new arm to you. Some rich people even glued more than just replacements to themselves.

Then there's alara which uses etherium to give everyone psuedo mechanical limbs or bodies and a weakness to artifact destruction.

what
explain
>>
>>49148583
Kaladesh has planar portals. Though, in the story they have only been able to send non-living matter through them.
>>
>>49148583
The latest ur has an elf creating a teleporter that can only do inorganic things. Vronak is just being an ass like normal.
>>49147563
You do realize they finished R&D of the set quite a while ago before you started shitting up threads with graveborn.
And the Gremlins on Kaladesh look feral and probably not capable of sparks.
>>
>>49148792
>nonliving matter
Phyrexians aren't alive.
>>
>>49148796
Graveborn was completed before SOI was dropped. So.... Yeah. Highly doubt that Kaladesh was completed then.
>>
>>49148819
Yes they are.
>>
>>49148796
can the teleporter go outside planes, or no? I wouldn't call it a planar portal unless the means of teleporting things it has is sending them outside the plane then bringing them back in on the other, which I guess kinda works like dimension door for dnd-esk games, but I don't think that would be the angle they go for it unless they explicitly state that.

>>49148831
I believe entities like phyrexian demons which are stated to be completely mechanical might count, but not anything that still requires meat to function. I wonder what phyrexian oil counts as?
>>
>>49148879
The Glistening Oil might be a tricky one. Definitely a good discussion piece. I would assume it's a living organism because it spreads and infects in it's own accord. But, it could be a argued either way.
>>
>>49148898
I mean, the oil could just be refined flowstone technology, which was magic nanites, which would explain how it transforms the things it touches and stores information.
>>
>>49148820
It takes two years roughly for the set to be finished so they would have been late in it at the very least and vehicles would have been there beforehand.
Don't delude yourself.
>>
>>49148879
It is only short distances but I believe it sends things through the blind eternities. The problem would be getting coordinates for new planes and the whole inorganic shit only.
And the power cost
>>
>>49148988
If that is the case, then venser's research may still have hope. I wonder when this will become a plot point again? The aetherborn creature type spoiled, and the aether revolt or whatever the second set is called holds some interesting implications, since aether/aetherial are explicitly stated to mean a specific thing in the MTG settng. That said, this might have changed, the links regarding aether as a specific substance and meaning are dead with the archives change, so they'd have free reign to do with the word as they please now.
>>
>>49148953
Two years? Shit, they barely have one set finished when the set before it launches. Otherwise we'd have so many damned spoilers ahead of time. Don't delude yourself in thinking that R&D is THAT competent and THAT capable of keeping leaks from happening years in advance. Get outta here with this non-sense.

I think Selenra has this one, her loadout looks like she's very well protected against wizards of average power, and goddamn if she ain't battle-ready. Take a look at her pic, she's seen so much blood she's confused by it.

>Ginger vs Ariadne
gigner can only run for so long, the big buff angel-puff has this.
>>
>>49150199
And that's fine. But not having prep time and being unable to cast because you just got out of a coma feel like two completely different conditions to me. It's like she's being penalized more than equalized.

>>49150199
guys, guys
round at hand, not last round
who do you think will win and why?
>>
>>49150091
As for the match-ups:
>Ygraine VS Kolya
I almost gave this match to Kolya, figuring the angel and human combo would be enough to overwhelm the giant.
Then I realized Ygraine specifically likes to drop flyers. AA Giant wins.

>Eifion VS Kharan
Eifion has a decent powerset by Kharan is a dragon/big beast hunter, and a really good one at that, which seems like an exact counter to Eifion's beast magic

>Selenra VS Hakam
Hakam is an illusionist and if he's had combat training, he seems out of practice. Selenra wears heavy antimage armor and has seen enough blood she can give people bloodworks just by looking at it.

>Ginger VS Ariadne
Discounting Ariadne's sword of war and peace, Ginger runs really fast and is a waifish boy? Girl? While Ariadne is and summons angels. That air advantage heavily counteracts the speed difference
>>
>>49150276
Oh, FFS. This is what I get for juggling threads.
Those polls are legit though, I'll see you guys in a bit.

Just a few more sets of flakes after this and we can move on to Round Two.
>>
>>49150317
Isn't kharan a massive coward?
>>
>>49150690
"Somewhat of a coward"
So he's not "Can't block warriors" tier, but he'll probably fold out earlier than most flakes

At least, that's how I understand it.
>>
>>49150064
Like others have said, that's a conversation for the next round. But probably a lot more formidable. I mean, it's the difference between someone in a coma, and someone who's awake, has a gun, and knows very well how to use that gun.

>>49150091
>Ygraine vs Kolya
Well, Ygraine is a giant. So she automatically starts with a huge natural advantage. But natural advantage isn't everything. And Kolya has experience fighting bigger, tougher opponents. Still, I'll give this one to Ygraine, since she seems to have a more formidable spell arsenal combined with a better natural advantage.

>Eifion vs Kharan
This one is very close. Both flakes have combat experience and decently powered spells. I'm genuinely tied on this one. Maybe Kharan, since he specializes in killing more?

>Selenra vs Hakam
While I really really like Selenra, if I'm being honest I think Hakam would take it. While Selenra is likely the better warrior, I think Hakam could shut down most of her casting pretty quick, and he has the advantage of the skies. Still, it would be a good fight.

>Ginger vs Ariadne
Like someone said, Ginger is a runner, not a fighter. He'd run out of steam eventually, and then Ariadne, with superior combat ability and flying, would pick him off from the skies.

I believe the Confidant's deal was that it possesses people and only plaeswalks if it is possessing a planeswalker. I'm not quite sure about her, because there is the onakke situation with lilianna.

I was gonna have a cow at one of the other entries, but the story checks out, so she can stay.
I think that's it as far as my opunion is concerned.
>>
>>49152142
I
I think that's all the commentary you're getting
>>
>>49152142
I kinda want to give my peace about that one thing said earlier. I know I will be shouted down but I want to make this view heard too.

If we let Gaia to have waking up prep time, everyone else should get it too. No reason to give special treatment to her. Thats why I propose that no one gets prep time and they are treated as they were in the first round. Thats how no one gets any benefits and has atleast some equal footing. Especially since I know that some flakes would just absolutely break the whole fucking thing if given prep time. We are trying to be equal here, right?
>>
>>49152771
It's not a matter of Gaia getting prep time, friend, but that people factored her just waking up from the plane into the conflict, even though there was no guarantee that she would've just woken up. It was counting story elements in combat. Gaia wasn't starting at round one, but round -3. You see what I'm saying? Yeah, we already agree that we start with no prep time. Does that make sense? Gaia had no prep time, but the way it sounded by how people were describing it, it sounds like she was spending the first few rounds just getting used to her new body.
>>
>>49152142
The match-ups are as follows:

>Rinara VS The Confidant
Amazingly, both flakes are disqualified.

>Ylia VS Rinteller

>Myxxzzikt VS Murdock

>Ninki VS the ROCK
Ninki gets a bye to the next round as the result of the ROCK's disqualification.

>>
>>49153378
>Ylia vs Rinteller
Once again, a good matchup. They have a similar loadout and battleskill. But in the end, I'm going to go with the minotaur because of her natural advantage and size.

>Myxxzzikt vs Murdock
The bug deals mostly with counterspells and illusion/mind magic. He's also about an 8 ft mantis, sooo. But at the same time, Murdock has some serious aggro going. Really, it's a tossup. I'd have to ask Murdock anon if she can be overcome easily by mind games. If that's the case, I might give it to the bug.
>>
>>49153568
Murdock hasn't been doing mind game to Serena all the time?
>>
>>49153552
Meme magic won't save you here. Also, silver-bordered anything gets you disqualified.
>>
>>49153378
>Ylia vs Rinteller
Yila's pretty much got the exact same powerset, but slightly better and with race advantage. Yila gets this fight
>Yila is Rinteller but stronger

>Myxxzzikt vs Murdock
Murdock might be a bit of a coward, and may not last more than a couple rounds, but murdock's magic power greatly exceeds that of the bug. That, in addition to having battlefield experience (even if half of it is fleeing), means that she outclasses the bug in combat. Murdock gets this one.

>Skotonos gets put up against the dragon-punching giantess.
>Ginger gets put up against one of the devastatingly powerful angel flakes.
>Stuzec gets a reasonable match-up and has every reason to lose it.
>Ninki gets a pass when she has every reason to lose absolutely every fight against anyone.
>Inzhu gets a pass instead of getting to show off how powerful cloning magic can be.

Unsatisfying outcomes but I admit that all of those flakes (excluding Inzhu) are pretty low-powered and that's how the dice rolls work.

Basically the same flakes in terms of alignment and spells, but the minotaur is just as stronger if not more and Rinteller doesn't speak of being incredibly more cunning. Giving this to Ylia, but not sure.

>Myxxzzikt vs Murdock
I am not willing to judge cause one is my flake. However if asked >>49153568
I'd say that it all depends on if Murdock can cast anything that eradicates spells from Myx's mind before he can cast his own mind controls, or just burn him to death before he can act. If anything, Murdock has a slightly bigger set of skills to draw from.

Because the regular demons can go anywhere, see the Mardu one, but the Rakshasa are specifically working with the Sultai/Silumgar and have specific antics from regular demons.

>>49154598
He seems to bend reality, mainly unliving matter and possibly biology through nothing but sheer willpower.
While cool sounding, it also brings to mind what Emrakul was up to on Innistrad, minus the assimilation plot. Plus the word choice is odd because it makes it sound like it doesn't run on mana. That last point could just be me misreading things.

>>49154652
It very much runs on mana. His source of power is mainly red mana, applied in black/blue fuckery ways, but only to the extent of what the cards imply he can. This leads to his major weakness, his main mana source relates to his strong/violent emotion. If someone shuts him down mentally, mindsculpting, madness or through means like pacifism, he loses all ability to cast, because he loses connection to his red source.

Ice Age, Ka'koarm anon here, if you're monitoring. What points do you think open me up for disqualification that you would like to see my defense for before deciding?

>>49155006
He has other weaknesses. Mainly, he can't into time magic, he has no grasp of it, and when pitted against flakes of equal size he's functionally a R/B brawler/counter-caster because all his black goes into very minor things and he has no ranged red capabilities, no elementalism at all. I'm not sure how he'd fair against a swarm caster, I'd like to think he's tough enough to take it, but if he's faced with a swarmer that has already beaten several other flakes he might be in trouble.
>>
>>49155098
*R/U, not R/B
as said, black is his least represented color spell-wise, on equal footing his black spells mean much less than they do compared to his red.

Five humans as it turns out, about the size of a dragon, but not quite the size of a sea-serpent proper, which was the intent. He's very big, but there are things that can be flakes as large or larger. Ugin is stated as 40' tall, but I don't actually know if that means his length or his standing height, whereas in Ka's situation it is from horn-tip to tail-tip length.
>>

>>
>>49155269
>>49155301
if he stands "upright", which is to say he uses some of his body to imitate leg length and poses like a lamia/naga, he stands about 12' tall, which is less intimidating.

>>49155317
people have mentioned others, but the real concern is Ka's magic, which builds off of a flavor I saw in blue/black and a tiny bit in red, of fucking around with what is real, and mixing it with a blue/red/black flavor of strong emotion and will being used to have effects on your surroundings. It seemed like a perfect combo, but I suppose I didn't explain it well enough.
Long story short Ka'koarm dies to pacifism.
>>
>>49155098
Just to ease everyone's minds here, is that thing about will and desires just meant to represent the method by which that flake casts in their colors?
