where the primary language would be French. I want to improve my
French speaking skills so I thought this would be a good way to
do it. I was thinking I could probably justify it characterwise
by playing a recluse, or some druid that only talks with animals and

Try games like Dungeon World (or anything powered by The Apocalypse World; pbtA) that creates a DM algorithm that justs lets the game flow. Or try some DM-less games like Fiasco or Durance. Or (way more expensive) buy a Pathfinder adventure path (avoid Kingmaker) and read it out loud.
