If for instance the closest player is in central europe there really isnt a way for you to get any bonus while everyone else starts with their city plus some religion bonus so its against them from the start.

Also, I had to start Prussia and kill myself just to get a religion bonus of 19 (which you already had from simply using heresy and reinforcing/peaceful expansion)

In my opinion you killed Norse pagans without taking away the HA.
The +5 adopter bonus was all we had to start the game religion wise.

Then i moved to papal states and that other guy attack me there so quick as papal states and tried to continue as vikings but you quit.

this is my honest opinion

1. Kingdoms should return.
2. The adoptor bonus should return, this time just put it in the name section so they know when you do the first mup
3. Norse should be exactly like they were the first game
4. Everyone else becomes less complicated by giving all different ways of getting religion bonus
5. Cut heresy out
6. cut reinforcement of entire nation for prots ou
7. cut the cumalitive religions down a bit for catholics and muslims to account for crusade and jihad so they dont get OP


again look at that 200 BC religion rules.. its complex but simple fore each person to understand their own shit

Rolls are also counted in sequence in this type of siege game... that is when you roll the moves are put in the map in the order that they occured in the thread. so if someone is touching your city and you roll first to push them away and they roll to siege, you dont lose your city... its just a lot better, but dumb little children cant see it

personally oldfags will always tell you that the fewer and lower the bonuses, the better

they need to be proportional to the map is all. like the maps i host most often. Spain in this game for instance. they topped out at about +7 and a nation like Naples or Netherlands still had a chance against them.
Plus Naples could have excommunicated them and take a lot away from them...

smaller bonuses tend to make the game fun and keep people in the game.
large bonuses are for games like those on pol where one faction just want to take over the whole map... thats not what risk used to be. it used to be about playing and diplomacy and games could go a long time days even...

also games used to not be about completely wiping people out... pol changed that, and when i play there, having played as much as i have, i try to wipe people out to piss them off in the hopes that they come back to want more diplo games... say germany and spain were fightin over france and germany won. before the german player would work out a peace treaty... now they just keep going until spain is dead and a player is lost completely... thats why the vassal thing would be great for your map. i didnt like, and dont like the jews being thrown everywhere thing. can put my finger on why yet but i just dont like it

it depends man. i like nation building which is what prefilled and history risk maps are great for. i also like serial games where games are continued at a later date.
lets say you started your map and said hey everybody lets play 10 mups and then we continue at such and such time tomorrow with 10 more

people would be less likely to kill everyone and the focus of the game would help diplo and the reality of the game a bit.
